I can't say this review was based off of the whole store, but at least one employee. Standing there watching my food get made, I watched her apparently put something on a sandwich that wasn't supposed to go on it then she proceeded to take a dirty rag and wipe off the sandwich, attempting to reuse it again. Couldn't stand there and just watch it happen so I said something in discuss. Let me start by saying I've never had an issue with this location before, however what occurred today will stick with me and influence my decision to come here again. I got there at 1:10p so the beginning of the lunch rush and the place was a mess--food everywhere. But what astonished me was the fact that the woman making the sandwiches when she cleared the extra lettuce from her work surface (lettuce that had vinegar in it, the oil and the spices) --she gathered it up and put it BACK IN WITH THE CLEAN USEABLE lettuce! I was so disgusted but more importantly, I have issues with vinegar-the slightest bit will cause severe reflux for me. LUCKILY I saw her do this and demanded they get me FRESH lettuce. I recently spoke with John and placed a catering order for 48 sandwiches. He was very helpful with the order - I really didn't have a clue about what breads to use or what sandwiches usually worked best for a crowd. I needed them on a Thursday and had to pick them up at 10:30 am. Even though the restaurant opened just 30 minutes earlier, his crew put together and boxed 48 sandwiches in that tight time frame. This time they only brought one of the two sandwiches I ordered. The driver didn't care. He had already been paid. He told me to call the restaurant and ran off. This food is bad for you anyway. Service is horrible. I had a really bad experience today. The front cashier was extremely rude to me and my 3 year old daughter. As I was trying to pay and leave for the bag of chips my daughter wanted. The front cashier started taking to the gentleman in the line behind me stating that I grabbed the receipt it a bad manner- that she didn't like. I did not talk back because I didn't want to make a scene but as I walked away with my daughter in my arms she continued to talk about me to the other guest in line. Anyone who gives jersey mikes a 5 star doesn't know subs and clearly has never been to the east coast. These subs are deplorable, and are on par with subway (hint: inedible) They don't even use the real meats that you find and they give it their own name to mask the fact that it's not what you are expecting. The only to places in la to eat an italian sun are domingos in encino and bay cities in Santa Monica. My first encounter with Jersey Mikes: So last week some people came into my office promoting the grand opening of JM's and handed out free sub sandwich cards to everyone in the office. And seeing as how we are a bunch of cheap skates, we gladly accepted! Yesterday we made it an office outing and walked down the block to check out the place and most importantly get our free subs! The decor had a beachy East coast feeling and the staff was really friendly. They even let one of my coworkers use two cards since we brought the whole crew in! I ordered the Chicken Parm on white bread. Unfortunately they forgot to make my sandwich and so I was the last to eat. :( When I did finally get it I had to rip through a tightly twisted paper bag, nearly 2 feet of foil and lots of deli paper decorated with JM's logo only to be disappointed to see a soggy sub stuffed with possibly straight out the can marinara sauce and a pitifully breaded chicken parm breast! I delved in despite this only to find out that the taste was worse than the sadly sight and the chicken was tougher than the leather on the bottom of my boots! Less than an hour later, nearly all of us had terrible stomach aches and were in desperate search of a bottle of TUMS! One of my coworkers even had to call out sick today!! **DAmn! I should have thought of that!** Needless to say, I will not be returning, even though I do have another free sub card. Good stuff. Been to the Jersey shore a few times in my life Lol. Jersey Mike's is a close reminder of those days. Hanging out eating subs and enjoying the ride. They offer many classic Jersey style subs my favorite being the big kahuna which has peppers, mushrooms, onions , cheese and thinly sliced beef. Made to order and grilled on an open griddle, The sandwich came out super hot and delicious. I needed to eat and run after a meeting so it's perfect for a quick bite. The most important ingredient being the bread of course, which Jersey Mike's has it down. The bread is very fresh and perfect for hot grilled subs. They also offer many cold subs as well. I've been here so many times I can't even count. Sometimes I go twice a week. I go alone or my husband joins me and we share a giant veggie - provolone and swiss with fresh green peppers. We usually get it "Mike's Way" - like any Italian sub - with vinegar, oil, oregano, lettuce, tomato, and onions. We add the yellow peppers, too. The employees are always helpful and great and they slice everything in front of you. Bread is typically fresh. Sometimes they offer me cucumber for the veggie sandwich. I'm drooling just thinking about it! I've also had the veggie wrap which is also really good. The meaty sandwiches look great - piled freshly sliced meat on top of meat! A couple of things - parking is non existent and no green lettuce or spinach available. Iceberg-only keeps Jersey Mike's at a four instead of a five. Because it's so easy for me to walk, I keep going back!! Couldn't really ask for a better easy in and out sandwich joint in the neighborhood. Plus their chip selection is always plentiful! read more

I was in the neighborhood and stopped in for lunch. The staff at this location is on top of things. They were very friendly. At the time I went in, they were out of Turkey, the girl at the register made sure she told each customer as they were greeted, that "unfortunately, at the moment they were out of Turkey". It was great they informed everyone first, before someone made up their mind what they wanted and then find out that the do not have that on the menu. This store had a huge staff, it was like every customer was getting personal service, and this was during lunch rush! I came here after trying the one in Burbank. I thought the service was pretty iffy. The staff seemed new and untrained at the time. You can park in a lot on the next block over, but they only validate 30 minutes. Still, that was enough time for me to scarf down my subs. I go to this place ALL the time for lunch with co-workers and long time friends who grew up in BH. Very affordable and the food is great. It's like subway but with no preservatives. Sometimes the lunch line can take a while but you'll still make it back to work in time (unless you get a hot sub). Sometimes the new employee's get confused, but all together a very strong and professional staff. Highly recommend it if you are board with Quiznos or Subway, really tasty subs. Normally, I'd give Jersey Mike's five stars, but I hate the parking situation of this one. All of the parking is metered, so that's painful and even then, it's often hard to find a spot. However, the subs are delicious (I get the #9). The bread is fresh, the meats are sliced right in front of you, and the veggies are always crisp. WAY better than Subway or Quiznos. Worth the extra money and pain of finding parking. read more

If you work in the area like I do, its not a bad place to go with a friend and split a Giant 18" Sub, 2 drinks & 2 bags of chips for less than $12. WAY better than any $5 foot long at Subway! This particular location (Beverly Hills) has an INCREDIBLY friendly staff and usually offers me a free cookie! I order from this place on the regular as I work really close to them and today may be the last time. I typically get the turkey wrap and double up on veggies with a little extra meat because they don't fill the wrap up. I've ordered this countless times and no charges. Then today I ordered it and they charging me $2.90 for the thing I've gotten a dozen times or more. That's just terrible for a constant repeating customer. I wouldn't complain about this ig they did it from the start, but all of a sudden extra veggies and meat on a not filled up wrap is a problem. That's just disappointing. my husband loves this place. it's a chain, but better than subway. it grew on me. the staff is usually hung over if you go at opening, but they are still pretty awesome even when feeling like that! so that is a sign of a good employer if they can have people happy to go to work even if they feel like that. i only get one sub The Original Italian.
