Subway.....move out of the way.....you hold nothing on Jersey Mikes. So I decided to dine here the other day before school, craving something new. I ordered the italian sub. I like the fact that they slice the meat right there in front of you. I had my sandwich made "mike's way" with lettuce tomatoes oil and vinegar. I enjoyed every last bite. Sure, it's a little more pricey than your regular sub sandwich chains, but totally worth it. What made my experience better was the service was really friendly. I think places like this need to be compared to the genre they are in. For example, this is not an hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop, independent food place so it should not be compared to one. This is a chain restaurant and should be compared to the similar sandwich chains like it. That being said, this is one of the best sandwich chains there is! Fresh ingredients, cut right in front of you, speaks a lot in of itself. I wish this was up north in my area of California! I LOVE LOVE LOVE This Place!!! This place does not compare to Subway, Togo's, Quizno's... It's funny I've never noticed the cost because my husband and I split a Regular size and a Drink, 3 cookies and Chips.About $12 bucks. Our Favority is #13 Mikes Way with Spice Relish No Onions...AMAZING!!! I'm sure they're other sandwhiches are Great, but I'm so used to this one...don't want to mess up a good thing =D. All the cookies are freshly made there...and always soft.YuM Yum Yum!!! Once I forgot to add the Spicy Relish and well the sandwhich just didn't taste the same, had to get it on the side to add it to my sandwhich. Overall Service is Great and attentive. Working just down the way, in the same shopping center has been a blessing lol I have always gone to subway, not knocking that place cause I still get breakfast subs for really cheap and good. However, jersey Mikes is just phenomenal. The service they provide is outstanding. Adrian is so helpful and always on top of things. The staff is quick and they communicate so well with each other. Now on to the food, AMAZING I always change it up, I get the 10 small, which is about 6 inches. It's tuna. Add pickles and lettuce, with the oregano spice. Heaven! Be prepared to spend about 10 bucks, for a meal. It's worth it tho. Quality on food, that's always worth paying for. If you get it Mikes way, it adds all the oils to the sandwich. So make sure you know what Mikes way is and are OK with that before you say yes when they ask you. Happy eats people!! read more

Highly recommended if your looking for a good sub sandwich. I had been looking for a good sandwich for a while now. I stayed away from the popular chains and tried the local places but came up empty. Jersey Mike's to the rescue. Happen to stumble in one day after shopping at Target next store. The sandwiches here are amazing!! I recommend the #8 Club and ask for it 'Mike's Way.' Discovered Jersey Mike's Sub Sandwiches just this year... It's definitely one of the better franchise sandwich places I've had! The food is really good, but I did find their deli meats they use in their sandwiches a bit salty. However, the oil and vinegar they add, did offset the saltiness a bit. Now with that said, the true quality of any sandwich really starts with the bread, which I find really good at Jersey Mike's. I talked to one of the Jersey Mike's managers, and he told me that they make their white and wheat breads fresh every morning -a definite plus! Jersey Mike's sandwiches come in several sizes, mini, regular, and giant. If you're a light eater, then a mini or regular is enough, but if you're a sandwich ogre, then a giant, which is about 15" long, will satisfy that hunger beast in you. Unlike the other franchise sandwich places, Jersey Mike's don't offer the plethora of condiments or fixings, but then again if you're a purist, then having it with a few condiments and not make it into a "salad" is the way to go. If you like your sandwich to have a bit of a kick, I recommend the cherry pepper relish. There are not a lot of Jersey Mike's around, but luckily I found three in the city of Orange and one in Brea, which is close to my area. However, their website do indicate more locations in the So. Cal LA/Orange county area. If you happen to find Jersey Mike's to your liking and you're thinking of becoming a regular; I suggest you sign up for a Jersey Mike's frequent customer card and then download their app. It's an excellent way to earn points for each purchase and towards a free sandwich. Overall, Jersey Mike's is my new sandwich place and I'm finding myself going there more often than to Subways or Quiznos. The sandwiches are always good here. Today the wife ordered lunch for the family and of course I was tasked to go pick it up. I arrived and the gentleman that assisted me had what I thought all sandwiches ready for pick minus my sons as he was not sure if we wanted it mike's style or jus mayo and mustard. I told him mayo and mustard please. Got the food and something told me to double check the order. I see 5 sandwiches then made a call to the wife. Found out we need 6 and 1 of 2 #9s was missing. The gentleman that helped me no it's I walked back to the end a a long line. Pulled me to the side asked me what I needed. I asked if my wife had mentioned 1 or 2 #9s. He informed me that he wrote down one and he would get me the second one. I date down expecting to wait for other sandwiches to be made prior to our missing sandwich as it was busy. A few minutes later I get called over and the sandwich was ready at no charge. Top customer service was displayed by this gentleman. I love the sandwiches at Jersey Mikes which is why they get 2 stars, the restaurant is super filthy. Every time I go no matter what time of day it is, it's dirty. Today was my last straw, sitting in the booth and the wall right next to me is disgusting, there's a fly flying around us, the floor is dirty, the drink counter is dirty, the counter at register is dirty. A worker came in from maybe his lunch and even he was dirty, his khaki pants were black. The place needs a major deep cleaning or maybe health inspector needs to go see it. Subs were great, but the people there were not. There were no one at the Jersey Mikes other than three employees earlier tonight, which were making faces at each other. No one greeted us but just giggled. I felt they were mocking us. The girl behind the counter was not happy. It was dead silent. Oh well, I got my sub and head to sit at a table. Giving two stars because of the customer service at this location. Went in 20 minutes before they closed because I was on my way home from visiting my father who's in the hospital. I know it's 20 minutes before they closed but it's no excuse to treat my husband and I like we're pieces of shit. As soon as we walked in the girl with purple and blue hair immediately stopped scraping the grill and looked at the other girl like saying "are you effing serious!" Then approached us with the most horrible attitude. Waited for us to say what we wanted without even asking like "What can I get for you" or anything to offer excellent service. She was so rude and very unprofessional. My husband said may I have more onions and she very impatiently said "yeah yeah, I know" The other girl there could tell she was pissed and tried to help her by putting Mayo on my sandwich. I even asked her for light mustard and it's like she never even heard me. I get it you're tired but wtf! The store is still open for another 20 minutes!! If I could've got there earlier I would've but like I said was visiting my sick father and I was driving from Covina all the way home to Tustin and I really wanted the Jersey Mikes sub that I usually get at my wonderful Tustin location. Came in today after the gym, for a little post workout meal. Upon entering I was the only guest ordering, I believe manger was eating lunch and a party of two eating. So I figure this should be quick pit stop on my way home... Wrong! They had about 3 other employees and 1 person making sandwiches. Like I said I was the only guest in line, and the employee is making a phone/Togo order rather than making my sandwich. Shouldn't you help the guest that are present?? I was just annoyed by the fact the worker was still making another sandwich with me being the only guest. The manager I believe who was eating his lunch kept calling his employees to come to the front. I come to jersey Mikes pretty often and I'm usually in and out in 10 minutes even when they are busy. Ate there today, have to say I was not impressed with the Gluten Free Bread, if you don't have to eat it, DON'T. It won't stay together. It doesn't taste good so it takes away from the taste of the sandwich. Otherwise, the guys behind the counter were very nice. Although the place could have been cleaner. I had eaten a month or so ago at Jersey Mikes in Orange and had the best sandwich I have ever had, and it was just a simple BLT. They didn't skimp on anything and it was just made well. I was so impressed that today I ordered Jersey Mikes for my work team of 7. We ordered from the closest Jersey Mikes which is in Brea. Wow, I was so dissapointed in the sandwich which was the same BLT as I ordered from the Orange store. I even thought they forgot the bacon on it, but then combed through the lettuce to see a very thin slice stuck to the soggy bread. Generally speaking, Jersey Mike's is pretty good, well above Quiznos or Subway, roughly on par with Togo's. But I have to give this location props for being very good even by Jersey Mike's standards. The line was almost to the door. I ordered a Club Supreme and David got his usual Original Italian. Despite the crowd, the sandwich makers were very meticulous, slicing all the meat, carefully placing good quantities of produce. We both commented that our sandwiches were perfect, all the ingredients were fresh and tasty and the sandwiches were composed perfectly. I tried out Jersey Mikes at 7:30 on a Saturday night, so my expectations were low. I was the only customer in the restaurant so I took advantage and looked everything over twice. The place was super clean and the staff behind The counter were young and friendly- I told them it was my fist time and guess what? I was offered a free cookie! I also got them to recommend a sandwich. I was torn between two and took them up in their recommendation to get the Big Kahuna. I took my order home and was delighted when I saw my sandwich was still hot because it was wrapped in foil. Good call guys! Maybe I am just not cool enough to like this place. Compared to other sandwich shops, this place is really lacking in several categories. The menu seems very limited. My wife was disappointed in the limited selection of ingredients. I got the philly cheesesteak and liked that they grilled the onions and peppers, but it didn't really help the taste of the sub. There also didn't seem to be much meat in my sandwich. 2 stars on yelp is "Meh. This particular franchise is run very well, has a very fast sandwich assembly line (something that other locations struggle with) and the employees are always very friendly and courteous.
