This is the second time we came here for sandwiches. First time was when they first opened and got sandwiches made incorrectly. Today, I asked for #7, mini, on white, with avocado and yellow mustard, and they got that wrong and mixed up the bread. I realize this is a new location, but I think more training is needed for the staff. We ordered several Philly cheese steaks last night. Several had special requests (I.e. no jalapeños, no peppers). Only 1 of the sandwiches was properly prepared. I was not happy when I bit into a jalapeño. Next bite - a green pepper. Gross. I did nit eat the sandwich. This is the second time it happened. I came in here with my three kids after my son requested Jersey mikes. I show up and I noticed one customer waiting for a long time. The associate finally comes and rudely asks the customer if he was ready to order. He begins ordering and as the worker goes to make the sandwich he starts aggressively talking to his coworker and cussing at him for the work that he is doing. I made it appoint to let him know to watch his language as I had kids and we left. This is a great spot for JM's but they got my order wrong forgetting a sandwich and I was headed to the beach. We didn't figure it out until we were already at the beach so no turning around. I called 6 times (left a message) to ask for a refund and no one answered the phone (lunch time) so I understand. This is not a complaint about the location only a notice to have someone follow up with me to remedy this situation. Once this is taken care of the review will also be updated, but not until then. This location BLOWS!! I've ordered from them three times and twice they have jacked up my order. I mean, it's just a sandwich people you're not splitting the atom, here. So, I ordered online and my wife was picking it up (10:30 AM so they weren't "busy"). I asked (very nicely I might add) for pickles on the sandwich and a side of jalapeños. Guess what,..... I got neither! JM's doesn't offer many veggies (lettuce, tomato & onion), so adding pickles (and jals) brings some life to a dull sandwich. I'm not gonna call and complain, nor am I gonna drive back there for pickles, but F-word! I certainly will not EVER go back to that place! read more

We love Jersey Mike's on Pacific Coast Highway Dana Point. Their subs are the best, always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is also very clean. Another part of my review is their staff. They are always friendly no matter what time of day we come in to order our subs and the employees act like they really love their job and do not look at you like, why are you here? One employee said they actually wanted to work at Jersey Mike's because of how they are treated by the owners, which is saying a lot! There is another sandwich sub place, a chain of them in the area that we will never go to again as we have both had a few incidents where the employees were so rude and honestly they didn't care if you walked out in the middle of your sub prep. Totally bad for business and calling their corporate office did nothing as well. We are not complainers or overly picky people but being small business owners, we know customer satisfaction, employee attitude, friendliness and of course the food is number one for a successful business. read more

We are huge JM fans and excited there is a location in Dana Point but I was very disappointed in my tub takeout today. It filled less than half the container so I was still hungry when finished, feeling cheated on the quantity. Also my husband's sandwich was soggy with oil. I'm disappointed. It has nothing to do with the customer service, nor the food, nor the cleanliness. My beef is with Jersey Mike himself. He needs to understand that people want simplicity. When I have desires, it breeds a craving. My craving is not met with jersey mike. I walk in with one thing in mind and it's some sort of sandwich to satisfy me. The menu eliminates that possibility. I am simply overwhelmed at what I could get and also what I could not be getting. It's too much of a burden for one man to carry. read more

We ordered 3 sandwiches for pickup using their app for $30. By accident, we left a $400 tip. I called the store and the supervisor who looked into it and he called me right back. He had found it and said the manager would be in within 2 hours and was the only who could fix it. He never called. I tried to resolve it via credit card company but Jersey Mikes refused to resolve it. I hope at least that the employees actually got the tip and that manager didn't pocket it for himself. I placed a phone order at 10a on FRI for an 11 a.m. pickup on SAT of three giant subs. The online ordering was not working when I made that attempt. When I arrived at 11:15 a.m. on SAT, the order was not ready. While I waited for them to scramble to make my sandwiches, two male customers came in with phone orders, which were ready and waiting for them, a quick pick up. Can I only surmise that JM's is reticent to serve women customers? A young couple, a guy and gal, came in while I waited, but that did not seem to be an issue. While the manager was appropriately apologetic and allowed a lower price, I am willing to pay for good food, but I hope for convenience and prompt service, as well. I was extremely disappointed. We like Jersey Mike's food, but if there are certain customers you would rather not serve in a prompt and thorough manner, post a sign to that effect in the window, and I will take my business elsewhere. read more
