Decided to try this place definitely didn't know we had one in the area and I gotta say it was quite good. I ended up with the number #8 which was a club sandwich on a four cheese roll with extra oil& vinegar with added hot relish and let's not forget a side of chipotle aioli. I ordered a small and after eating wish I had gotten a large all ingredients were fresh and sandwich was well put together .

Never tried Jersey Mike's so decided to stop for a sub I got the Jersey Mikes special the Jersey Mikes way! 1st I didn't get the cappacola just ham on the sandwich like I was supposed to I didn't like the wine vinegar and the JUICE and sprinkled spices on it too sour and the spices were raw tasting not my style! By the time I got home the bottom of the roll was so soggy it was mushy I got home 15 minutes after buying the sub! I'll stick to pizzeria oil and mayo sub thank you. I really wanted to like it looks so good

#9 Club Supreme minus the bacon

The staff were so friendly and welcoming.  I definitely felt that my business was appreciated. They slice the deli meat and cheese to order.  I enjoyed my Club Supreme and had it made "Mike's Way" with mustard instead of mayo.  The "juice" made the sub - be sure to get it added to yours.

I've been to Jersey Mikes twice so far and I must say I do enjoy their subs ! They slice their meat fresh to order, their bacon is crisp, the hot subs are cooked on a flat top (not microwaved) and they offer gluten free rolls. Also, the prices quite reasonable in relation to the quality. The service does need some work though. The first time I dined there, I received my deli sub 20 minutes sooner than my father's Cajun steak Philly sub. Other customers arrived , ordered and left before he got his. And once he did inquire about his order, the cashier said it was on its way (still another 5-7 minutes) and asked him if he already paid (he paid this very same cashier earlier) . I think they have to come up with a better process behind the counter because it seemed like everyone was bouncing around with no particular task they were in charge of. The second time I came in things went a bit smoother but I was the only customer and just got a turkey roast beef and bacon club (very delicious) . If you plan on ordering a hot sub, perhaps you should pre order or maybe the service is slow only for now because they are fairly new? I hope they get the kinks worked out, cause the subs are quite delicious!

Philly chesesteak

OK I had no idea what to expect walking into this place other than they obviously sell subs. Let me tell you - these are the freshest best tasting subs around. Other reviewers say it's just another sub place... but NO OTHER place slices the meats and cheeses per order that I know of !! I usually get the turkey bacon and it's fantastic they are not skimpy on the meats at all. The hot subs like the Philly cheesesteak could use more meat though. My favorite part is that they offer gluten free sub rolls (we have a family member allergic). They wipe down the utensils and cutting machine before making the sub if it's due to allergy. The gluten free rolls are fantastic. They also have gluten free snickerdoodle cookies which is so nice to have a dessert option. We are now regulars and will continue going here. The employees are super nice too ! Great service and food !!!

If you are looking to try a delicious sub sandwich where the meat and cheese are sliced right when you order, this is the place. I truly enjoyed the turkey and provolone sub and thought the price was reasonable. There are many combinations on the menu. The fresh taste will keep you coming back to try different varieties. Friendly staff, great Tastings subs and value priced will keep me returning.Plus join their rewards program to get a free regular sub during your birthday month.

As always I can't find one thing that isn't delicious there…read more I try to bring new friends to try the food and everyone loves it. The service is one on one every time. They always ask what I want added to my veggie sandwich and it's always amazing. I only wish it was a bit brighter in there. It's just a tiny bit too dark in the back for my taste.

What a fun lunch experience. The owner, Nando is such a great guy. They can sense first timers, and…read morewow they made us feel so special. We were provided samples of the bread and cheese. Nando LOVES to talk, and explain the food and his culture! Loved hearing the story behind these culetto sandwiches. Basically what I heard in America we call them an "ass" sandwhich. Hahaha basically take the butt of the bread and stuff it with goodness. You can dine in here, I personally call it take out spot, but again there are a few tables and chairs to eat in, which is what we did. I love a good meatball, so went with the meatball one. It did not disappoint. Loved ever bite, which is hard because the sandwhich is so big. There are two sizes choose, regular and colossal We went with regular which was great portion, only imagine what the colossal looks like. There are two choices of bread white or sourdough. Of course went with the sourdough. Delicious. My "butt bread" was stuffed well with cheese, sauce and meatballs. I wasn't able to eat it all there, by the end of night, after it sat OMG soooo good. The bread had really soaked up that delicious sauce. My mom made her own, which she stuffed with turkey and cheese. There was plenty of desserts, but unfortunately were so stuffed didn't try. But while we were there a couple came in just for them and bought tons. Told us favorite spot to grab dessert. I'll try some next time. I have to also speak on the "mother's wall'. Here Nando has over 100 pictures of mother's. Hear him talk about mother's and family in general was special. Hard come here and not feel like the family love.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

We came here for lunch because we seen so many great reviews but man, what a disappointment. The…read morebar area was nice, but the service and the food was not as everyone else described. I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

I've been wanting to try their Sicilian-style pizza for quite some time, and my birthday cookie…read morereward finally gave me the perfect excuse to celebrate. They already have a fantastic thin-crust pizza, so I asked if they could make the Sicilian style with the muffuletta toppings. No problem at all. It took a little longer than expected (ordered for 4:45, ready at 5:00), but it was absolutely worth the wait. Ordering is easy online or by phone. If you get voicemail, just call back - they're probably on the phone with another customer. Now, about that pizza. The thick Sicilian crust had the perfect chew: light and airy inside with a crisp, golden bottom. Every bite was loaded with the bold salty toppings, bringing a savory, slight spice/pickled kick that paired perfectly with the oils and melted cheese. The toppings reached edge to edge, creating a pizza that was hearty, flavorful, and impossible to put down. Please pencil in a visit to The Deli on a Wednesday to grab one of their pizzas. I do recommend ordering ahead to claim your dough. This version reads like a Yelp review and really highlights the texture and flavor of a loaded Sicilian pie.

I had the Sting which features their handmade, always fresh, never frozen chicken cutlets. Not only are their sandwiches great, the service here is impeccable. Can't wait to go back and try some more sandwiches.

We tried the breakfast sandwich and it was great and different than most places with the sesame roll. We also tried the croissants and they had the best flavor and texture and better than any we have ever had. I'd never before seen sourdough croissants or cheese danishes; there's an abundance of gorgeous loaves/boules for sale. (Cheese fondue supplies! Yes!!). A baker's rack to the right sells day-old bread at discounted prices (make your own croutons!) I opted for an almond (sourdough) croissant and a small coffee; I was asked if I wanted a mug or a to go cup? I was given a beautiful glazed mug - very charming! Two things worth mentioning: There's a small seating area downstairs, and five large tables upstairs. The stairs? A polite way of describing them is, "grandfathered-in". The rise/run makes it difficult to navigate if you're in thick boots, carrying a child, or have stiff knees. The pastry had a beautiful crunch. I enjoyed the almond flavor. And then I found: cherry preserves? I'm aware that "croissant et confiture" (eaten with jam) is a standard French breakfast, but it did change the mouth feel of the treat. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something earthier and beautifully executed.

I ordered an egg breakfast sandwich with home fries and an apple juice, which came out to about $25. While the food itself was a bit on the bland side and felt a little limited for the price, the ambiance really stands out. Here's where it all fell down. After placing my order, I turned my back, reading the menu. Then I heard the microwave "ding" and saw my pain au chocolat removed. Really?? (I once had a Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef explain that croissants should never be re-heated because it ruins the scaffolding of the butter/flour feuille, or "sheets"). I then tried the various seats in the Danish-style cafe. Stool? No love: They're metal and lack cushions. Chairs at the tables were also metal. I settled in an honest-to-God church pew: The kind the Puritans used, to reflect upon their sins. Do yourself a favor and get your treats to go.
