I have never heard of Jersey Mike's until I moved to the Plano area. I saw it one day and decided to try it since it's close to my work. I must say, they have some of the best sandwiches. My favorite is the Chipotle Cheese Steak but today I got the Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak and it's just as good. The staff were all friendly and even gave me extra pickles when I asked for it. I would definitely recommend Jersey Mike's and will definitely be back.

I may need an intervention. I've now eaten lunch at Jersey Mike's 3 times in 2 weeks. The 1st visit was curiosity, the 2nd visit was to confirm that my first visit wasn't a fluke - gotta make sure I don't misrepresent and all - and the 3rd visit was purely selfish. My 1st sandwich was a #8, Club Sub, with turkey, ham, provolone, bacon and mayo, fully dressed (Mike's Way). It was good enough to make me drool a little while I was writing my review. Paired with sea salt and vinegar chips, my tummy did a happy dance all the way through the afternoon. My 2nd sandwich was a #43, Chipotle Cheese Steak. Big, hot, spicy, crunchy, gooey love is what this sub was all about. I don't care if it's authentic or not, this bad boy was delicious. The chipotle mayo gave it a spicy bite and the cheese completely melted into a tasty glue that held the whole thing together. The grilled onions and peppers were perfectly cooked to be soft without being mushy. Who wants mushy veggies? My 3rd sandwich was a #9, Club Supreme, with roast beef, turkey, swiss, bacon and mayo, decorated Mike's Way. Holy shit, batman. This one almost did me in. I don't know how they make their bread crunchy, chewy (in a good way) and soft all at the same time, but I like it. The mixture of spices and vinegar and oil gives these sandwiches a very pleasant zing. But the biggest reason I'm taking Jersey Mike's into 5 star territory is the staff. I'm pretty sure the owner has worked the register the last 2 visits and he couldn't be more friendly if he sat on my lap and wiped the corners of my mouth. The rest of the staff, in all their beefcake glory, are just as pleasant. You hardly notice moving down the line because of the easy banter. Jersey Mike's is so good that all the other sub shops in town should be shaking in their boots right about now. You know who you are, fellas.

Conceptually, this place is great for what it is. Cheaper prices, a bit of everything at the trade…read moreoff of a self service ordering system and self cleaned dining room. The food was shockingly better than expected. My caprese warm rice bowl was worth the money. The guac and chips I got as a side were a bit stale and mid but nothing bad. My bf got the crunch wraps and noted they were dry and needed sauce, but that chorizo was a good addition. The dining room is a bit dirty, but that's to be expected when the concept is the populace cleaning up after themselves. When we were there, it wasn't crazy dirty, just not pristine. My soda from the soda machine was bad (missing lots of syrup), but I just got a different soda. Overall, it's nothing amazing, but a good more budget friendly option IMO. I don't regret that we tried it.

FOOD: The pricing can't be beat! The lobster roll is not what you find at a Michelin star…read morerestaurant but who cares? It is still delicious! What trumps it for me is the fried cod, they are outstanding. The fries are just meh. The deduction in point is the melted butter dispensed in plastic baglets. It does something to the taste. ATMOSPHERE: This place looks like a clean, stripped down diner. As it should because they need to keep prices down. I have been 3 times, each time expecting my fellow patrons to not clean up after themselves but not true! It is always clean. SERVICE: The service people are behind the front working their rear off to put out great food. There is no tip jar. They are friendly and hard-working. This is where they shine! TIP: Order the extra portion lobster meat, take it home and use your own melted butter or better yet, the cod!

Loved this place!!! We will for sure be going back!…read moreEverything we ordered was wonderful!! The service was great!

Tacos, Tacos, Tacos…read more... How do I love thee... let me count the ways.... I love you with fajita steak, shredded chicken... al pastor, and with shrimp... Being Mexican, having had an unhealthy share of street tacos in Mexico... I'll tell you that it doesn't matter if you like it or not. This is one of the closest taco spots in the area to hit close. I mean this in the most sincere way possible... If you are wanting tacos from a place where a kid from a Chick-Fil-A store or commercial is taking your order, and all of the food choices are combination of about a dozen ingredients slopped together by someone who seriously thought a GED was "Good Enough" by the company behind Pepsi (cough Taco Bell) then this place isn't for you. I like my steak where the recipe to the chicken, pork, and steak isn't "cut bag open and place in warming bin idiot". All jokes aside this place is pretty legit. It's authentic enough where I'm pretty sure I was the only native English speaking person there, including the customers. But not so authentic that there was a cows head in a pot. This place has twisted my arm for all of my Taco money. While you transparent folk are going after the latest version of the Doritos Locos Tacos that's largely corn and recycled Chinese newspaper I'll be here.
