This review is only about this location. We always go to the Irvine location, but had no other choice to go to this one today. I always order the Tuna #10 online for take out because it's quick and I can specify all the toppings, bread etc. Well, looks like the girl can't even follow printed instructions when making a sub. Unwrapped the sub at home and it just looked pathetic!! No onion, tomato, lettuce, oil, vinegar which is Mike's Way! She only had added the extra toppings: pickles, jalapeños, mustard. On top of that, there wasn't much tuna. The Irvine one always gets the order right and puts so much stuff in their sub, which is awesome. My husband called them and the guy was like oh well, maybe if you come back I can fix it! Sorry, not going to drive back 5 miles in the rain so he can "fix" the sub. A credit or partial refund would have been nice. Needless to say, first and last time ordering from this location! The management and staff obviously need training. read more

After discovering Jersey Mike's for the 1st time last week (Irvine location), I've been craving their sandwiches since! Wanting to experience a new location brought us to Tustin. When customizing, they are quite generous -- no stingy counting or tiny pinches here! Ordering "Mike's Way", with that oil, vinegar, and seasonings make the flavor difference for us! I appreciate having 3 sandwich size --and price -- options and being able to customize my order. I've only had their cold sandwiches, to date (already I have a "go-to", their #14 adding mayo and 2 types of peppers). Everyone we've encountered here has been appreciatively friendly, approachable, and helpful. We're new fans of Jersey Mike's (had it 4 times in the 1st week!) and fans of this location! read more

Out of the major chain sandwich joints Jersey Mike's is my favorite. Their sandwiches are actually decent sized. They don't skimp on the toppings like some places. Most of the time I get the giant Italian combo. This is the standard sandwich no matter where I go. Today I got the chicken parmesan since the weather was cooler. My only problem was the sauce. It needs more seasoning . Located in a very busy shopping center parking can be very tough. Often times I end up going someplace else Customers are greeted as they enter, and no matter how busy they are the line moves fast. I like that they slice the meats and cheese in front of you. I need to give them credit since I have not been back for a second visit. It's more of a 3.5 than 4 but I will round it up. I might as well review my first visit. The sandwich was delicious from what I can remember. This is a good sandwich shop to visit under these conditions: *You have had enough of Quiznos, Subway, and Togos *You don't mind spending the extra money on something different *If quality is what you value over quantity *Reminds you of a sandwich you might be able to make at home, but at the same time, it's Jersey Mike's Subs. *If watching them slice and dice the meat gets you going. *Knowing at least you will be satisfied after eating a sandwich. But the chipotle steak sub was yummy minus the green peppers and jalapenos but that's just cuz i don't like them, it's definitely not spicy the regular sub is somewhere between 7-9" pretty big definitely two meals and the chipotle sauce is yummy! This is my first time to this location. I ordered a sub in a bowl ahead online through the website. It said to arrive at 5:37pm. I gave them plenty of time and arrived at 6pm. When I entered, the store was empty besides the two employees. I told them I was here to pickup, and there was a bag sitting on the counter with my name on it -- but when the worker checked, it was empty. They forgot to make my order and had my empty bag sitting on the counter for almost half an hour. So I sat around for another 6 minutes waiting for them to make it. They did not offer me a coupon, apology, or any kind of compensation. I wish I could retract them tip I left them online. Based on the awful service, I would not recommend this location. read more

Probably somewhere between 3-4 stars. I'll round up. My co-workers recommended this location, so I decided to give it a try for lunch. Ordered the Famous Roast Beef & Provolone. Got the regular size (7') since I was pretty hungry. They also have mini (5') and giant (14-15'). Unlike other sandwich shops, Jersey Mike's actually slices the meat and cheese right in front of you. No mystery meat pulled from a container (e.g. Subway). Gotta give credit where credit is due. All sandwiches come "Mike's Way." This includes onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil and spices. I decided to have my sandwich made this way. Looking back, this probably wasn't a great decision. Some mustard and pickles would have been nice. Also, the staff member making my sandwich literally DOUSED it in oil and vinegar. Way too bitter and oily. Not sure if he was just heavy-handed or if all sandwiches made "Mike's Way" are made like this. Sandwich was decent otherwise. Nothing out of this world, but a solid eat for around $8. It was of those days. I didn't know what I wanted for lunch, so I decided to drive down Newport Avenue. Then I saw it a few doors down from Souplantation. A Joisey Mike's. Seeing that I was in New Jersey last year for vacation, I gave it a shot. I ordered a regular sized #13, the Original Italian made Mike's Way with everything including the kitchen sink. The server grabbed a roll, and started making the sandwich. A few minutes later he was finished. I grabbed a bag of chips. Almost $9 later, I was out of there and back to the office. It was a good sandwich. It had plenty of meat, not like Subway where they give you more lettuce than meat. The sandwich was so big that I couldn't finish it. This is my second visit to a Jersey Mike's and my first one to this location. I got a regular turkey and provolone. It was big enough for 2 meals. I liked how they sliced the meat right in front of us. I got it "Mike's Way", which means with oil, vinegar and spices, only with no oil on mine. I wish they had a few more options for toppings, but it's a good solid sub. We'll be back! read more

Decided to come here for lunch because I've heard good things about the place. It's right near the Souplantation so parking can be a little troublesome, but I was lucky enough to find parking right in front of the place. Walking in reminds me of like a mix of Subway/Which Wich, but not as big. What I got: Regular Big Kahuna Cheese Steak ($8): grilled onions, jalapenos, mushrooms and extra cheese...how can you not like something like that? A regular was pretty big...I ended up eating half for lunch and bringing home the other half for my parents. It was juicy and I was surprised with how meat-y it was. They don't skimp on the meat here. Service: It was great when I was here. I'm not a loud speaker so it's hard for people to hear me over the glass. Some people get annoyed having to ask me to repeat myself, but the guy here just smiled and apologized saying that he couldn't hear me. Everyone that helped me was just so...smile-y! So that was my first time ever seeing that at a place like this so that was pretty nice. I love Jersey Mike's sandwiches. Let me get that off my chest. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is the cleanliness of the place. I was the first customer to walk in, and I watch the employee unlock the doors, so I know I was the first customer. When I walked in, the place had not been cleaned at all from the previous day. There were crumbs all over the counter, papers on the floor and stains on the counter. If the front of the store look that bad, I pray that the back of the store where my food is being prepared did not look that bad or be that dirty. I included some pictures to show what I mean. I love the food, but I question the cleanliness now. Whoever is the manager should get on this, and whoever's the owner should talk to the manager. read more

I went with the mini club and chips; lunch cost me around seven dollars, and it was nice and filling. I've never been to Jersey Mike's before, but my sister-in-law loves them. I came here at 8:30 pm. That was probably not the best time to come. The guy handling my order was paying more attention to his girlfriend than the food. I overheard another employee tell him that he left a tortilla on the grill too long. I suspect that the same thing happened to my cheesesteak, since it was waaaay overcooked. This was probably because he left for his 10 minute break to be with his girlfriend in the middle of my order. I'll give it another go during a busier time; I should have known better than to come so close to closing time. read more

When I lived in NorCal, One of my favorite sandwich shops was the Jersey Mike's in Mountain View. Now that I live in OC, I'm really glad I found another great link in the JM's chain! The Turkey and Provolone is so fresh and delicious each time I order it. I always make sure to request the sandwich "Mike's Way" with no onions. Getting the sandwich "Mike's Way" sets it a part from all of the other sub places out there because of the good herbs, oil, and vinegar that it's packed with. First thing you'll notice when you walk into Jersey Mike's is that it's tiny. Smaller than most Subway Restaurants. Next, you'll notice the 2 mounted TVs that are probably playing the game. The Thunder-Lakers game 4 was on while I was there, and that was kind of cool. Unfortunately, this place has almost no on-site seating. I counted two booths. Seriously? What's the point of having TVs and paying for cable/satellite if people can't even sit inside your establishment to eat and watch? Everything else about the place is small, too. The fountain drink machine was wedged in a corner at the front along with condiments and napkins. Even the parking lot is inadequate because it's shared with Souplantation, Gen, Kean, and a whole bunch of other joints. On to the food, which is the only thing that truly matters. I mean let's face it- you're not going to Jersey Mike's for the ambiance. They offer mini (4.5"), regular (7.5"), and giant (15") sized sandwiches here. Three of the sandwiches are varying qualities of an Italian sandwich. You can start off with just ham, cappacuolo, and provalone and then upgrade to include prosciuttini, salami, and pepperoni. The price goes up the more cold cuts you get on there. My girlfriend and I shared the Italian ($13 for a giant) with all the cold cuts. Solid sandwich. Definitely better than italian sandwiches you'd get at any other fast food sandwich franchise. They slice all their meats and cheeses in front of you so your meat doesn't get all aired out. Quick aside- prosciutiini is apparently the same as prosciutto, except that it is cured without the bone in. The rest of the menu had sandwiches which revolved around either turkey, roast beef, cheese steak, tuna, meatball, or chicken parmesan. My sandwich was pretty damned good. I couldn't help but order an Italian my first time there because they are my favorite. I did this despite the fact that you can get THE best Italian sandwich at Claro's (yelp Claro's if you don't know whatsup) down the street. I'm going to return to Jersey Mike's to try the cheese steak in the future and their other offerings. Final note - if you go in within the next week, the staff is still highly untrained. The girl who was wrapping my sandwich with paper couldn't even do it correctly, and the manager had to show her multiple times while I was in line. They had a hard time getting a sandwich dressed correctly for the customer in front of me (he was getting each half of his sandwich dressed differently). On a plus note, the manager was super cool, hooked me up with a free drink after I told him this was my first time to a Jersey Mike's, and assured me it was an awesome sandwich. read more

Subway better watch it's back because there's a new kid in town and it blows the pickles off Subway! What makes Jersey Mikes so great in my book is the fesh sliced meat when you order it. Cheese too. Thin slices of delicious deli meat, not some pre formed meat- like substance. Bread is great and simple with white or wheat. Many sandwich choices to choose from but what also makes it stand out is when you order it "Mikes Way." shredded lettuce, tomato, onions, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar. The stores always so nice and clean when I visit! Anyways, just thought I'd write a review bc everyone here is always so nice :)

Let me start by saying how much I love Jersey Mikes. With that said this location left a lot to be desired as far as the quality of the food and taste. This location has a decent setup with plenty of tables both inside and out, the service was good and the prices are still quite affordable. The problem lacked in the taste of the food as both sandwiches that me and wife had came out dry and less favorable than the Jersey Mikes location we typically frequent. My sandwich had little to no mayo and hers did not have the typical vinegar and oil taste that she is accustomed to. This could have been an off day, but this will not be a driving factor in me returning to this location. On the plus side we discovered a new coffee place in the same center which was a plus. read more

A solid sandwich shop! I normally don't go for sub sandwiches, but this place has a few things going for them. First, the bread is quite good. I've had their wheat bread twice now, and it's got a nice crunchy exterior and soft interior. Mushy bread ruins a sub sandwich; I want something with some resistance, and Jersey Mike's obliges. Next, they slice all of their meats right in front of you. This is a small touch, but you know exactly how much you're getting as they build your sandwich for you. Whether this objectively contributes to the quality of the sandwich or not, I do not know, but it does help the experience. Getting sandwiches done "Mike's Way" with all the trimmings is great, but the vinegar can be a bit overpowering. I'm not normally big on things that are specifically reminiscent of the East Coast, but this "traditional" style of sub sandwich is quite good. Go for something Italian, and buy a "Giant" sized sandwich for ~$12 and split it with a friend for a great value, too! read more
