Used these folks over the 10 years many times & never had a problem till this Saturday with my Jaguar. Came in for oil change, asked very specific questions the Jaguar Dealer in Livermore told me to ask before service. Paid $220. The first evident problem was when the mechanic drove out my car & the car cut off. He could not restart it, Left it in the middle of driveway. I got in, the car would not start. Did it again, it started, I drove off. Very quickly turned around , went back. In low gear or at a stop the car cut off. They tried to fix it 3 times. Ran diagnostics first, than the fluid leaked under the car, adjustments were needed. The car is getting towed to the Dealers on Monday to see what damage has been done . As a professional mechanic, if you do not know how to fix a particular luxury car, do not touch it. Refuse the service. Should not never guaranteed the work as they did if it is not in their ability to service the car. The mechanic literally had to google information about the car on his phone about the service, resetting the system etc....... That was never brought to my attention. Do not take your luxury car to anyone but the dealer, unless they are experts at that brand. read more

Acknowledge your customers!!! We just left this location without getting an oil change because after sitting in the waiting area for 20 minutes being ignored by staff AND the manager it was time to just leave!! This Jiffy Lube is continuously awful!!!. We have had to go back because oil was leaking after the oil change, after being ignored without service, and the wait times are always long. This location is always very slow even if they're not busy. I don't normally complain, but this has really become a problem here!! read more

I bought my car brand new in 2015. Jiffy lube Manteca is the only place I will take my car. The number one reason I bring my car here is because of Na he is a wonderful guy and always treats me like a friend he hasn't seen in a while. But that also goes for the rest of the staff that I have talked to including Robert. I'm currently sitting in their waiting area and they got a small rush and with the stress of people wanting to get in and get out everyone continues to treat every customer with grace. I'll never take my car anywhere else. This is the place to go if you want good quality service. read more

Greetings, I want to start by telling you that everyone I have spoken to since I discovered the problem was very courteous but no one has been able to help me. I have had three vehicles serviced at your location on Bowers in Santa Clara. The first two have had no problems but after my last visit I noticed that there was oil spilling out from the bottom of my car and all over the engine. I called and spoke with Vince, I might have the name wrong at Santa Clara to ask what I should do. I live in Manteca so he directed me to the shop in Manteca on Main. They (Manteca) were nice and took me right in and this was at closing. They showed me that the oil filter was not installed properly and the gasket had broken as a result. This was after driving 70 miles, and seriously risking my engine. They told me they wanted to add some oil but were not sure how much oil I had lost as my car has an internal gauge. This made me nervous and sure enough the check engine light came on my way home. I decided to take no more chances and made an appointment with my mechanic who told me they likely mixed the oils Full Synthetic with some regular oil in addition to being low when I was sent off. I am not sure if you know what a new BMW engine costs, but clearly your staff is not trained to deal with vehicles such as mine. I would have respected you if you simply told me that my vehicle is beyond the skill set of your team and sent me on my way. I now have to incur the full cost of an engine inspection and at a minimum another oil change. When I first spoke to the manager at Santa Clara he offered me another oil change at no cost, but no thanks this oil change has cost me a lot more than I ever expected. You really either need to train you team or tell them to pass on cars like mine. Manteca Staff were really nice, but they knew there was a problem, and may be they could have fixed it and kindly offered to take another look the next day. I was a little nervous cause it was the day before I drove/moved to Colorado they reassured me that they will check all things under the hood and let me know if anything was needed in addition to my request. This is the only place I take to get my cars oil changed for the past 8 years. The are always very welcoming & have great customer service. I actually like the fact that they show me my cars recommended maintenance services and they tell me if I'm due for any further maintenance. I never feel pressured to do anything other than an oil changed; but I feel like I'm being educated to make an informed decision about the maintenance of my vehicle. I've had many things done here: wipers replaced, filters replaced, battery replaced, oil change, windshield crack fix, etc. & have never had an issue. Bonus: they always offer coffee and water while you wait. Or the Mexican restaurant la Estrella next door is a great option to eat while waiting. I like going to jiffy lube because I get greeted respectfully and they take care of your car. They put protectors on the side of the vehicle to prevent reaching scratches while servicing your vehicle and paper on the floor to keep the dirt out of your vehicle. So I had my transmission oil changed drop the pan, filter. I drive it to my house, transmission oil is leaking all over my driveway !!!!! My advice is you get what you pay for, and I will always have a certified mechanic work on my vehicles from now on! read more

Well, I can't speak to their service since our car was never actually serviced. I can say this: we waited an hour. An hour at the place and our car was still not even pulled up into the bay to start service. When we went back to our car, the guy said "yeah, we are the closing crew so there are only three guys working." That's fine, but TELL US THAT UP FRONT!" There was nothing jiffy about Jiffy Lube. My family and I usually take our vehicles into this Jiffy Lube location for oil changes but here I say: never again. I noticed my car had an oil leak (our driveway had lots of spots in the same area that stained the driveway). I took my car into a shop near my work in Ripon and they found that the drain plug was loose causing the engine oil to leak. I am disappointed in Jiffy Lube's poor job on my car and will not be in again. read more

Sleazy. No other way to describe. If I hadn't backed myself into a corner by not making the time to get my oil changed in a timely fashion, I would have screeched out of there as fast as possible on two tires. $109 for an oil change and tire rotation (not balance only rotation) are you serious? And that was with a coupon granted to me. Then I was told that my BRAND NEW CAR burned oil and it was normal. They are talking to the wrong woman. The tech had to be told to put my hubcap back on all the way. This place would have been awesome as it is less than a mile from home. But I'd rather drive the 15 miles to the dealership than to ever give them another cent of my money. read more

This is weird. Every one left good reviews I guess I wasn't one of the lucky ones. I pulled up and every one paused, looked at me and. Continue doing what they were doing. I wanted to go through and walk into the office which I assumed was straight but there was bunch of cars in the way so maybe it wasn't that way? I got out and tried talking to a worker and again just ignored me. Maybe I didn't speak loud enough ? Long story short I just bought all the materials and did it on my own. I'm really surprised to see all the negative reviews here! I took my car in on Friday. There are two other Jiffy Lubes closer to my area but I make the extra drive simply because the customer service is the best. I was immediately and warmly greeted by Carlos who warned me the wait would be about 30-45 min. But because he was honest about it (who wants to be told "I'll be right with you" and have to wait an hour?) I didn't mind taking my kid across the street for some ice cream while we waited. While I did upgrade to a higher oil change package rather than the average $29.99 one, I never felt any pressure to do so. They simply showed me their options and I chose what I wanted. The wait ended up being longer because it turns out my car needed a little more TLC than a routine oil change. I take that back... a lot more TLC than expected, but again, I didn't feel like they were just "trying to make a sell." I knew my car didn't feel right and I'm glad they found the problem. In fact, Nick was kind enough to even give me a 10% off discount. After paying they walked me to my car and thoroughly explained what was done. A friendly Asian man came to talk to be a bit as I was loading my kid in the car. (I didn't catch his name) as well as the owner who happened to stop by. All in all, even with the amount of money I had to fork out that day, I left an extremely satisfied customer. I felt welcomed from beginning to end. I know of very few places where literally every single employee takes a moment out of their busy day to either exchange pleasantries or at the very least acknowledge you with a smile. read more

I normally come here but today I knew I wouldn't have enough time and I went to Valvoline instead. The experience at Valvoline was DRASTICALLY different than my normal experience at Jiffy Lube. Let me just say I will never ever come back here again. Your company treats women like they are idiots when it comes to cars, are extremely pushy with ad-ons attempting to get me to spend more money, and don't notify me of what's going on during the process. At Valvoline, I was taken care of PROMPTLY, they didn't push sales on me and explained thoroughly and at a good pace of what they were doing and why, and asked what kind of oil I wanted before charging me. They were kind, explanatory and didn't treat me like I was some dumb woman who didn't know what was going on with their vehicle, and they were affordable. Jiffy Lube take notes.. you may be a large corp but it's companies like Valvoline that do it right and treat their customers (especially women) with respect. read more

Best. Service. Ever. I came in this morning needing an oil change, tune-up, air filter, and replacement of fluids, and expected a typical polite front desk, a three-hour wait, and a boring waiting room. What I got was a manager that treated me like a friend, not a customer; a 45-minute wait (for a tune-up??? I've never had less than an hour and a half for a tune-up in my life!); and... well, a boring waiting room. But who cares? These guys were super fast, incredibly nice, and my car is purring like a kitten. These guys kick the crap out of the Speedee across the street, no question! They are a little hole-in-the-wall business that's tucked away from the main street, so they're not immediately obvious to find, but find them you must! Best service ever, hands down! Without a doubt one of the worst run oil change places around!! I know these are busy places but the manager of this one really needs to find a new job at McDonald's!!! I dropped both my work truck and my wife's car. The kid checking cars in said we were looking at around an hour to hour & 20 mins. Told him NP we will go get lunch. We come back almost an 1 1/2 later to see neither of my cars have been touched. Mind you mine were next in line. I go in and ask when they plan on getting to mine (as I see cars that came in after me are in the shop) and the kid says" don't really know, we still have a lot to do" To that I told him get mine out I'm taking them somewhere else. The place was packed, cars out the street and people standing all over,,,, and everyone was beyond pissed!!! Had a few guys tell me they are never coming back! You would think with all this going on there would be a since of urgency coming from the guy runing the place right? NOPE he was the one screwing it up. He had a truck pulled in the exit and working like there was no one else on the planet! Seriously not worth your time! Take your cars ANYWHERE else!! read more

They were courteous, friendly and speedy. I doubt I was there for more then. 35 mins. They went over everything and I really appreciated it. The only bad thing was the yelp coupon didn't work. He ended up giving me 10% off because of it. The coupon was worth more but since it was a positive experience I didn't find it that big of a deal. read more

This is my first time here and when I pulled up I only had one question if I'll be able to be out of here to make it to my 1 o'clock appointment and I was assured that I will be able to do it so right now it's 15 minutes past 1 pm I'm late to my appointment by half hour because I still have to drive there and that there makes me look bad in front of my customer I could have done this oil change somewhere else tomorrow or I could have came back after my appointment if I wasn't assured that I will make it out of here by 12:45 read more

My 83 year old father in-law brought his car in for an oilchange and was charged 199.oo. 142.oo of that was labor for items they only checked, not replaced or repaired. They also said they were giving him a jiffy lube coupon book my Father in-law thought they were free, wound up paying 5.oo for each. They also bring up your cars specs and tell you the manufacture recommends certain services even though your vehicle may be miles away from the service time. I have taken my truck to this place for three years oil change new filter ,this time i chose to change the oil my self and found they never change the oil filter . The filter had a dent on it from where last time in October 2013 they tried to remove it, the oil filter was dated 2011 with a sharpie ,and was difficult to remove it was so old it was brittle and came off in pieces and the seal was stuck from not being changed in 2 + years . never again read more

I will not return. As a woman, I do not like taking my car in for service, because I worry I will be taken advantage of and that is exactly what happened. I specifically asked for the basic $30 oil change. The mechanic asked me what type of oil I wanted and I said I just wanted the basic $30 oil change. He said oh you want the high grade oil. I again said I wanted basic. In the end, I was charged $60. I told them that I had asked for the $30 oil change. The guy responded that there was nothing he could do. They already put the high mileage oil in my car. I will never go back there. read more

Been to this jiffy lube several times and never really have an issue except I feel like I'm at Costco because if you get everything that they tell you need you will have spent over 300$. But today I went not knowing they close at 4 pm which wouldn't have mattered because I needed an oil change for the last month!! As I'm standing there checking in one of the technicians is bitching about how they close at 4 and he has 2 1/2 more hours of F*** ing work left so hearing that needless to say I was out of there! I also called after I got home and the guy who answered was laughing and giggling while trying to say the jiffy lube speel. Then he said he was the closest thing to manager or supervisor at the moment and really seemed not interested in what I was saying. So needless to say won't be going back there!!! read more

A near death experience. Got my oil changed before I had to drive back to Long Beach in April. Paid a lot. As I'm pulling out my car stops dead in the middle of busy main st. I start it again, go about 20 ft, and it stops again. Cars are honking and nearly hitting us. My boyfriend shouts to get out so I don't get hit, as he pushes it around the intersection and back to jiffy lube. We take it back, they forgot to hook something back up. My shy boyfriend try's to stand up to the giant manager, who belittles him by saying "awe, don't be scared little guy" and offers no refund or compensation. Also, they were unable to rotate my tires since they did not have the right equipment, which led to me later spending 500$ on new tires since they became bald at an uneven rate. And my check oil light has not stopped beeping and blinking since this horrible experience. Wish they had at least offered some refund, I know mistakes happen, but what a horrible experience. read more
