I've been going here for a few years now and the food hits the spot everytime, its your standard Korean Chinese fare but the workers make it with so much love that it makes me feel sooo warm inside whenever I eat it. My go to's are the black bean noodles and the crispy chicken in spicy garlic sauce, they both compliment each other so much and it's never changed in portion from what I remember. The lady in the front is the sweetest she always makes sure to greet us with a friendly smile and she double and triple checks everything to ensure we're getting everything we ordered. Good meal for lunch. I got the black bean noodle only at first but called back later to check if they could make it a combo with sweet and sour pork. They were accommodating. I was charged $20, but online menu pictures show $18 - maybe my portion size was bigger due to the last minute change, or they increased the price since. To be honest I don't have much to compare it to, but the sauce just had a mild flavor. I liked having sweet and sour pork with it because of the sweetness. And also the radish on the side. Good sauce to noodle ratio. Sweet and sour pork: nice and crispy in bite-sized pieces. The sauce was good, and not overly sweet. Portion was small but it was part of a combo. Parking: easy, but can get busy during lunch or dinner due to popular restaurants in the plaza. There is underground parking as well. Service and ambience: friendly and there were a good amount of people eating inside. The food was packaged nicely for takeout in a cardboard container. The place looked really clean and bright. A hidden hole in the wall, this gem of a store is definitely a place worth stopping in for! The jjajangmyeon and jjambon are pretty standard in taste but the value is in the portions. For the cost, the portion sizes are huge! The jjambon came with lots of ingredients inside which definitely upped the value. We were looking for a place that served jjajangmyeon (jajangmyeon, Zhajiangmian) which is a Korean/Chinese noodle dish covered in black bean sauce. It's a thick sauce and not soupy. We enjoyed it but I have to say my mom's (RIP) was so good that it's hard to compare. My mom used to put julienne cucumber and bean sprouts which gave the noodles a refreshing touch. We also had the stir-fried seafood noodles was good but menu doesn't say "spicy" and it was quite spicy so make sure to tell them your spice level. We also enjoyed the boiled dumplings which had a good amount of filling. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely go back when we have a craving for jjajangmyeon. read more

Read and understood the good reviews. Takeout was ready on time and neatly packaged. Restaurant was empty except for takeout packages getting picked up. We just were not fans of the black bean sauce or the sweet and sour sauce for the pork. Just not our preferences. The noodles are more Korean, a starch-sticky and chewy al dente. They make simple yet satisfying entrees like the Mongolian Beef. Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce is a marriage between General Tso with the slightest hint of sweet and sour, and it is addictive! Oh how I hate sweet and sour. But not theirs. I was really excited to visit this hole in the wall location and the owners are super kind. They have a very efficient take out operation (for now until things open again) in the restaurant. I loved the excitement of the sauce and smelling it while mixing it with the noodles. It is a generous serving. While my noodles were a little stuck together after driving home, once I poured the sauce on it and mixed it up, they were loose and the sauce coated everything evenly. I love the flavor of the sauce, savory with a really faint sweetness or smoothness, it perfectly coats the noodles without stealing the show. The black bean sauce was on point with the perfect amount to thickness that coated to every surface of the noodle. The shrimp batter was the right thickness and the sauce was perfect combination of sweet, sour and spicy. I inhaled the entire bowl of noodles and sauce but I had some shrimp leftovers. I know that this is an odd thing to note, but lighting matters to me. I really dislike harsh overhead lighting a la Severance, but it's the favorite of many office spaces and restaurants alike... including Jin Jja Roo. But as much as I dislike that lighting, Jin Jja Roo's jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk are well worth the assault to my eyeballs and the way the people there will question whether or not I should be ordering my own serving of jjajangmyeon instead of sharing it with my partner. They do give a really generous amount of noodles and sauce, but if you're hungry enough, it's definitely better to get your own serving and then maybe... maybe... split an order of tangsuyuk (which is also really delicious). I'm not in SoCal too often, but I'd consider this my go-to spot when the black bean noodle cravings hit. read more

What a joke. Ordered spicy noodle soup combo with fried dumpling for $17.99. Arrived and they want to charge me $23.00. They screwed up my order and made something else. Decide to be nice and just accept the order the way it was but they wanted to charge me more money. Instead of give me a discount for accepting their screw up. On top of everything else that asked for kimchi. Came back home obviously no kimchi.. They also nickel and dime you and charge an extra $1.00 for take out Box. What a shame to be so greedy to loose a customer that have been frequently this place for years. Will never go back to this place. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Kyongdon Noodles.
