Hot days = cold noodles! Super tiny parking lot, get ready to wait! My friend and I came at 1:30pm on a Saturday and there was still a pretty long line. Inside is pretty spacious! We ordered the chic mul naeugmyun and the kimchi wang mandu. Food came out pretty quickly. They even had a self serve bone broth. I found the hone broth to be extremely salty but it might be because the tank was running out. I loved the cold noodles - refreshing and so chewy. I was pretty disappointed with the kimchi mandu. There was so much hype around them but I found them to be pretty underwhelming. It was hard to flag a staff down for our bill and for any requests. Would come back for the cold noodles!

Visited Yuchun in Ktown and had a pretty good meal overall. We ordered two of the combos so we could try both the spicy and non-spicy cold noodles paired with the galbi. Both versions of the noodles were tasty, and the galbi had great flavor. My only real complaint is that the combos didn't come out with the traditional variety of banchan (side dishes) you usually expect when getting Korean food. If you're coming strictly for a solid noodle and meat combo it hits the spot, but just keep the lack of side dishes in mind! Parking also limited

One of the most consistent naengmyeon places in K-town. Both the mul or bibim are great. The spice level w/gochukaru and gochujang are perfect for me. Everyone who has been here also enjoys the bone/beef broth that is available for self service. Their combos with kalbi is great too. As you know everything has gone up in price. So don't be alarmed! The service is always good too. It gets very busy at times so come on non peak times. Enjoy!

When the weather starts getting hot then it's a great time to get Korean cold soba noodles! This place will typically have a line and a wait. I got here in the late afternoon around 2 pm on a Saturday and waited for about 15 mins. I got the Chic Saekimi Naengmyun (#4 on the menu) and a plate of their Kimchi Mandu. The Kimchi Mandu are so huge and filled with lots of kimchi and pork. The Naengmyun was really refreshing and had a good chew. For the uninitiated, it may be a bit much but I really enjoyed the crunch from the veggies and dried beef. Overall, one of the top spots to grab Naengmyun!

It felt like being back in Korea at Yuchun Restaurant. We enjoyed the naengmyeon, and especially appreciated the complimentary hot soup broth available for self-service. The restaurant is small and fills up quickly, but there is a small parking lot in front.

This is THE best place for naengmyeon and I crave it every time I'm in Ktown. Horrible parking (I recommend parking in the mall parking structure nearby if you can't find parking and walking over) but worth it. Very spacious inside with friendly service. You can self-serve yourself a free broth which is so yummy and soothing to the soul. The naengmyeon is delicious -- perfect amount of vinegary and coolnes. Can't recommend enough.

Ughhh soooo good when you're craving naengmyeon and this place does it the best! The service is pretty standard and I love the homey atmosphere. There's also a self-service warm broth bar that is a MUST amongst all the cold noodles. Love coming here when I'm in la!

I've been here long time ago and it was probably my last time visited this place. Tastes was great long time ago but now I would not recommend. Waitress was accommodating. Old style modern place. I wish this place tasted back when I used to tried this place before.

My boyfriend and I were craving cold noodles and stopped by here. It wasn't crowded when we came for weekend dinner so we were promptly seated. The spicy cold noodles were quite delicious but not too spicy. I wish the noodles were a bit less chewy or cut more because it felt easy to choke. I really enjoyed the beef tofu soup especially since it was colder outside. All the side dishes were delicious as well. I do wish they had smaller meat dishes to order so we could have some on the side, especially since the cold noodles only came with 2 small slices of meat. The only meat items available were larger portions that we wouldn't be able to finish.

When I need refreshing cold noodles, Yuchun is my perfect spot. Their naeng myun has been my favorite in LA so it keeps me coming back. I want to try more of the menu, but how can I not get something I know is THE BEST every time!? Dilemmas of a hungry chick in LA. My friends tell me this shop really gives them Korea vibes, and feels like the laid-back, modest shops there. Along with that, service reminds me of what we had in Chicago Korean restaurants, and I've heard is also the way of Korea...you need to flag people down for service. This is just the way it is, don't be offended - it's the cultural norm for older generations. Their buckwheat noodles are so chewy and amazing. They do chik naengmyeon here so the noodles have arrowhead powder giving them that extra bite. The beef broth is icy cold with tons of ice and such great tangy flavor. The brisket slices, the egg, the sauce ~ all components are always excellent in Yu Chun's soup. The beef broth also has a hot version - self served - that people go wild for. That hot brothhhhhhh, drool! I come here all the time, I'm going to keep coming - especially in the hot summer months for 냉면!

The food was BOMB! I came in solo and you could tell they're not used to this as I got a blank stare when I asked for a table for 1 lol the older lady lied to me and told me there was no more galbi, that they were sold out (I assume because I was a solo?) idk. The other lady was nice tho :) I'm coming back with a friend so I can try more stuff. My Korean friend said this is as authentic as it gets and it tastes even better than some places in Korea. Come try!

Super refreshing naengmyeon! The broth is delicious and the portions are generous. Chewy noodles, nice icy broth, and radish are all you need. Love their self serve broth to balance out the cold noodles. Their kimchi mandus are huge! This was a perfect meal in the afternoon and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Parking can be tricky since the lot is small. Service is quick and attentive. It's a perfect spot for wanting a quick and delicious meal!

My family & I visited Yuchun for dinner last Wednesday, which was recommended to me by a colleague for good cold noodles in K-Town. The restaurant's located in a small plaza with a parking lot. When we arrived at around 6:30pm, there were a few open parking spots. There were some parties dining at this time, but it wasn't crowded and we got a table quickly. Only one staff member was running tables; the service felt short, but the food came out pretty fast. The decor and vibe feel warm and homey. It's on the less busy side of K-Town, so I feel like this could be a good place to chill after work. We shared the Chic Mul Naengmyun (cold noodles with beef & veggies) and Bagirak Kalguksu (hot, homemade noodles with clams), which showcased the diversity of their noodle dishes. The cold noodles were my fave out of the two since they were refreshing. However, it seemed like there were more veggies than beef in this dish. For two people, the serving sizes were huge, so we packed leftovers to take home. We weren't allowed to take home the side dishes, which I thought were lacking anyway. I wish I added on the dumplings or one of the meat dishes, but that just means I have to come back soon!

    Ask the Community - Yuchun

Are both noodle dishes gluten free or do they use wheat in the noodles/sauce?

Are the noodles the buckwheat type?

The noodles at Yuchun are chik. Chik in korean means 'arrowroot'. "Arrowroot" is a good carb, high in fiber and low in the glycemic index. It's not buckwheat.

Do they also serve hot soups?

Yes! Self serve hot broth by the register

Does anyone know if they serve alcohol here?

    Nopey dokie

Is there veggie broth available for the cold noodles? thank you :)

Naengmyeon is usually made with beef broth but there is an alternate variation made with dongchimi (radish water kimchi). You can try asking them for naengmyeon with dongchimi. I don't know if they have it, but I'd be interested in this too!

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. The Dan Dan noodles have flavorful peanut sauce with it perfect noodles texture. Would recommend add extra sides for proteins, which we opted for pork belly and minced pork.
