Haven't been to this place in ages because you know, it's fast food but was thinking of having something different than what we always have. We got the 10-piece chicken tenders and thought we ordered a bucket of chicken. Fantastic! The breading wasn't too heavy. They taste great when you dip them in your mashed potatoes and gravy or have the chicken tenders with rice and gravy! That's good, too. The one item that blew my socks off like the Peach Mango pie was the Adobo Rice. WTH??!! Is this a new menu item? WTH is "Adobo Rice"? We generally call that type of rice, " fried rice". Tasted similar to my mother's fried rice that we would have in the mornings. I took one bite of the Adobo Rice and wanted to fry an over-easy egg over it. Oh, why the heck are you doing this to me? Super delish! Masarap!!! Thank goodness this place is quite the drive or I'd be even more plump than I am now. We ended it with one of our favorites, the Peach Mango pie. Their Peach Mango pie has the same crust as McDonald's apple pie did before 1992! That flaky, golden, crispy crust! Love it! Too bad we ordered delivery because we would have gotten some Halo Halo (pronounced "hollow, hollow"), too!! That will have to be a day when we're passing by! My friend first heard about Jollibee on social media. She said Jollibee came from the Philippines and their fried chicken needed to be tried. We decided to see what all the hype was about. Wow... everything she heard was spot on. First off, the place had a very pleasant atmosphere, clean tables and nice decor. Menu items, of course, fried chicken, spaghetti, mango pie and prices were not bad. We ordered the 6 piece chicken bucket, a side of rice and mashed potatoes. Our order was to-go. The fried chicken was amazing!! It was cooked to perfection!! Nice big pieces. The service was excellent even got offered plastic utensils and paper plates. On a whim, we decided to get Jollibee and we were so pleasantly surprised! We got the mango peach pie and 6 piece, (half original and half spicy) the first time, and our second time there we got the 10 piece original chicken and a hamburger plate. The chicken was moist and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside- really good. We liked both versions but enjoyed the original more. The hamburger patty is moist (not all meat) and well flavored. The surprise for us was the gravy, so good! Friendly employees, clean, and proper covid protocols in place. Fast Food Filipino style. We got our Covid boosters at Kaiser and had dinner across the street here. I'm disappointed that there were NO SALADS! No chance of going low carb here. I wanted the chicken tenders but that was a 15 minute wait. So I had the two piece meal with mashed potatoes. All carb options for sides only. Really? Potatoes, fries, rice or pasta? My man had the spicy chicken sandwich(that had lettuce in it). My chicken was very bland with a thigh that had hardly any meat on it and a drumstick. Not enough food. He enjoyed his sandwich. I love love love Filipino food. Jollibee isn't one of them. The spicy chicken sandwich was very dry with little to no sauce. The fried pies where descent but nothing to crave for and the spaghetti overly sweetened. The wait for the food was a nightmare. I ordered and took over 25 min for my food to be ready. Supposedly they where frying chicken. My patience was running out. Jollibee is for the Filipino people and those who actually like it. But sadly not for me. I had started trying Jollibee earlier this year & I honestly think the food is absolutely delicious. I personally hated how long the line & wait time were so I started ordering on DoorDash instead. I wanted to order on September 30th because I wanted to make sure I wasn't eating fried food in October lol. So, my mouth was set on eating Jollibee for the last time in awhile that might. I went to order around 7:45/50pm on DoorDash and you can't order past 8:10pm. When I was looking at the options, I didn't see "Spicy" available. This is not the first time I've seen that. The first time that happened, I was able to call Jollibee and request they make the chicken Spicy. The call lasted less than 3 minutes. So, I figured I should be able to do the same this time around. I called them and no one answered. Time kept moving so I waited a few minutes and then called again because I wanted to be able to put my order in on time. Still...no answer. By the 3rd call, someone picked up but they didn't talk, I could just hear the background noise. The 5th/6th call, someone picked up but muted themselves because I didn't hear any background noise this time. Now, I'm getting irritated because I know that this would be a super quick call. Whether they have it or not, letting me know would take less than one minute. I called literally 15 times. By the 15th call, a manager named Claire picked up. I could tell she was not physically at the location and maybe the call was transferred to her. I let Claire know what was going on and she was very pleasant and accommodating and understanding. That is true customer service, unlike the workers at the store location. I was going to report them on the Better Business Bureau but I'll start with Yelp. By the time I spoke to Claire, it was too late to order on DoorDash and I'm not driving 18 minutes to get there. She apologized for the inconvenience and let me know if I ever come in they could accommodate me, if I call & ask for her. Either way, them choosing not to pick up the phone that night was irresponsible and unprofessional. What if it was an important call concerning the food? It was good not great compared to others I have been to Jollibee many times but not in this location, it was definitely packed though. I give it 3 stars because the chicken was not as crispy or crunchy/ hot as I have had it in the past same with the gravy but flavors and everything was still good. The wait time was like 35 min for it to not even be so hot. Food was good, both spaghetti and palabok and the pies. As fellow filipinos know, it did not feel authentic authentic more so like a fast paced Mcdonalds for filipino food lol but still good and fun to go. Having fried chicken in Asia ruined fried chicken for me forever. It's just so much better there. Crispy, juicy, not soggy and greasy. But of all the fast food fried chicken in America I like Jollibee the best. If you think KFC is best then I'm sorry but you're beyond saving lol.. I used to eat Jollibee all the time when I lived in the Philippines. They have them every few blocks, it's like a second religion there haha. And there are differences in quality for sure. The chicken here is still pretty good though.. crispy enough, it's flavorful. I always get the spicy because I'm a spicy type of guy, and the combo with the spaghetti. The spaghetti is unique for sure though, it's really sweet with chopped up hotdog in it. But I love it and I would recommend it. They don't display a full menu at this place but it seems they always have their mango pies on deck. You have to get one. So dank. If you're in the mood for a burger or a chicken sandwich and fries they have those too. They're kinda famous for their Yum burger as much as the chicken. AND VAX CARD REQUIRED! BEWARE: DECEPTIVE PRICING California Business & Professions Code 12024.2 provides that a business must charge the lowest advertised price for a commodity. Regardless, it's bad business practice to list two different prices for a single item then charge the higher price. Yet that's exactly what this Jollibee did. This Jollibee lists two different prices for its 2 piece Chicken Joy with a side of Spaghetti as well as the 3 piece Chicken Joy with a side of Spaghetti. Then they charged me the higher price despite me telling them of the lower price and ordering the item number corresponding to the lower price. It's not a "gotcha" moment either. Both prices are listed in the menu price sign (pictured) LOL. You can see both. Johanna, whom I told of this problem, said "they changed signs." Uhm. No you didn't. It's still above you. Well, as a word to management, that is in unsatisfactory excuse all the same. Charge the lowest price advertised as you should. I visited here for the first time because I heard they had the best fried chicken! It was crispy and fresh. The flavor was decent but I drove a long way to get and it didn't meet my expectations fully. It is like most chicken places. The fries were basic and didn't have much flavor or seasoning. My favorite thing from the restaurant wasn't the chicken. It was the steak burgers with mushroom and gravy and steamed rice. Two meat Pattie's with rice and gravy with some mushroom was so good and very satisfying. Full of flavor so even though I came for the chicken I'm glad I tried some other items which made the trip worthwhile. The gravy was the best it comes with the chicken it is a great addition to the food and great flavor. This place was PACKED, which should be a good sign, so we waited in line to place our order in anticipation of a great experience. Unfortunately the food was so-so. I don't know how long they were sitting there waiting for the sandwich. Aside from being cold the food was just OK, nothing out of this world. We went to Jollibee Panorama on 4/20 just bcoz its the closest where we live. We were so disappointed bcoz when we got home, we paid for 12 pcs chickeb but there's only 6 pcs in the bucket. Unfortunately, our receipt fall apart bcoz my husband put it in his pocket crumbled and when i file for complaint to their Corporate office they insisting that we give them the last 4 digits if our payment so they can refund us the difference. My husband used Apple pay and of course its difft from his Debit card number. I do understand it, but don't they have option to resolve such problem? Please train your Staff for time that your stores are busy so they know how to move around and complete your customers order correctly.
