Good for a quick bite! Disappointed in the small portions of the kimbap, the pieces were cut thinly and fell apart. The cold noodles were delicious. A bit pricey for this casual Korean street food joint.

The restaurant is small, but the food was really good. The kimbap was generously sized and packed with fillings, and the tteokbokki tasted just like the kind my mom used to make at home.

You know a Korean food spot slaps when there are always a bunch of ahjussi & ajumma eating there always! I'm not a regular at Jongro, but I have been here a handful of times and just have never left a review. It's my favorite kimbap place in OC! The food tastes so comforting and hearty, and there's just something about the atmosphere that reminds me of when I used to eat kimbap as a kid. Speaking of the food, there are several selections of kimbap that you can choose from. My go to is always the kimchi kimbap with their spicy rice cakes! Their rolls are so large!! And the rice to filling ratio is perfect. They also have katsu and sujebi and a whole host of other authentic Korean cuisine. The ladies there are also the sweetest! It really feels like they're just friends who work together. They are quick to bring out banchan and water. The vibes are pretty laid back, like a small restaurant to catch up with your friends. Such a wonderful place to eat, I'll definitely be back again!

Pretty good kimbap, ramen, and kimchi fried rice considering the number of similar restaurants in the area. It's a solid 4.5 for me with 4 stars for food and 5 for service. With "kimbap" in the name, you'll expect to have access to a variety of quality kimbap, and I was pleased with the variety and satisfied with the quality. I had the bulgolgi kimbap, and the veggies were good, although the beef was a bit dry and crumbly. The kimchi fried rice was really good and had a unique kick of green peppers and lots of depth in flavor with almost a cajun profile. The service was great, and for a smaller space, there were plenty of tables for different sesting arrangements.

Quick satisfying food for a hot day. I tried multiple times calling and placing an online order and finally got through to a live person after at least six tries. The online ordering was glitchy and also not updated by the business. Thankfully the place had the air conditioning Blasting cool air. Got these rolls ( approximately 10 pieces per order) : beef, tuna, combo (2), fire anchovy, Inari rolls (5 pieces) and a huge bowl of abalone porridge. All freshly made, I did wish the rice used in The rolls was a tad softer today. Some grains were either dried out or felt too Al dente for my liking. Otherwise good flavor and enough for sharing with several friends. Sorry about the plastic wrap on the photos but we wanted to keep the food safe while waiting for guests.

A no frills Korean comfort joint that serves a solid Kimbap. Not vegetarian friendly at all, even the veggie kimbap has fish cake so vegetarians beware. The kimbap/soup combo is a solid deal for $15 and is perfect as a shared snack or individual meal. all the signs and menus have limited english, so come with a translation app or try your best! Service is friendly so nothing to worry about.

Souper satisfied! I was impressed by the portion sizes, and my kimbap expectations were met. The kimbap was only 7.99, and the kimchi fried rice was 12.99, but each comes with a soup and pickled radishes, plus extra kimchi! After a long work week, I yelped "kimbap" in search of a takeout spot, and I am so thankful to have landed here! Beef kimbap was 4.5/5 and filled with ?8 ingredients. Kim chi fried rice was tasty 4.5/5 with a indulgent sesame flavor, a nice mild-medium spice level, and a fried egg on top! I gave 4 stars because it wasn't the best ever, but it may be because I got takeout. My order was ready 10 minutes before expected, so that was a plus, and workers were friendly. It was a mom n' pop kind of place in a run down but bustling strip mall in Cerritos, so I had high hopes--and they were met. They also serve dukbokki, soups, and some meat and rice plates--I regret not peeking at what the dining-in guests were eating. Maybe I'll return someday to try the other items in person...or maybe just keep getting kimbap to go.

The cholmyun was delish. Chilled, chewy, sweet and savory. I got the combo kimbap. It's kinda pricey. The pcs were thin. I think it works out to 1 single roll. Their kimchi and danmooji were awesome! The A/C went out so it was very very hot. Service was very kind.

I ordered takeout for lunch, and I received a bowl of soup with my fire anchovy kimbap. The total was $8.99 plus tax, and they included a side of radish in the box. The radish was very delicious, and it saved my tongue from the spicy fire anchovies. I like that the roll had a good amount of the anchovies, but I'm not sure I would order this kind again. If I come back again, I think I'll would probably try the other kimbaps and other korean dishes.

    4. Tuna Roll Kimbap

One of the best spicy seafood ramen and Tuna Kimbap I've tasted. Friendly service. We had the shrimp fried rice, steamed dumpling, bulgogi Kimbap, and the combo (spicy seafood ramen & half order of Tuna Kimbap). The soup was delicious and spicy, but I could not stop eating it. It tasted like jangpong but with ramen. I would have like to have more seafood. All I did taste was squid and fish cake. A few slices of spam, but I don't eat meat so I put it to the side. My daughter had the dumpling, beef Kimbap and fried rice. She said she liked it all. Our only dislike was that the egg yolk on the fried rice was over cooked so there was no yolk like in the pictures and we could have done without the red bell pepper. All tasted great though. She said the Kimbap tasted better than the one at H-Mart in La Mirada. Will come back and try their fish cake soup next time and get a full order of the Tuna Kimbap! Thank you to the kind lady who kept refilling my water

Beef kimbap ($5.99). Comes with pickled yellow radish and soup.

My friend and I were in search of kimbap Saturday afternoon and H Mart did not have any beef kimbap available, only ham kimbap and fishcake kimbap. Luckily, we found Jongro Kimbap a few miles away and they have quite a bit of options for kimbap, including beef! We made our way there around 2 pm. I ordered their beef kimbap ($5.99), which comes cut in 10-11 pieces (I'm not sure, hard to tell from the picture I took). The order also comes with some pickled yellow radish and soup. I ordered it with the intention of it being a light meal, as I was going to get boba afterwards, but it was pretty filling! No regrets ordering the beef kimbap. In fact, I wanted to come back the next day to try some other things on their menu! Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays, so I wasn't able to try the other kimbap choices (the combo roll which had beef, kimchi, and tuna kimbaps). I'm learning Korean right now and had taken a flyer with their menu home to peruse later. I saw a section in the bottom that's completely in Korean with $9.99 on it and tried to read it. Made it through 70% of the way and had to use the rest of the menu for help. So that section was about a $9.99 combo they're offering with either udon, ramen, or fishcake soup + kimbap or inari sushi. I'm going to have to try that next time I'm here! Parking wasn't too bad in this plaza. Our order was going to take 10ish minutes, so we walked to Super 1 Mart in the same plaza to get some Chilsung Cider. Wish there was a place like this closer to me, but at least if I'm around La Palma or Cerritos and wanting Korean food (which nowadays is a high probability), I shall be here.

This Korean food spot is the definition of comfort food!!! The shop is pretty small, with some indoor dining tables. They seat you right away as they usually don't have many people in the restaurant. A lot of people Togo food here. The food came out pretty fast!! Always the same good taste and my favorite kimbap place :) worth trying out!! They also have a combo kimbap option if u wanna try out different flavors!

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

From the friendly service that made us feel like home, to the delicious food, everything hit the spot. We ordered the cold noodle, seafood pancake, bibambap, and short rib combo. All the dishes were so good! And all the banchan that came with it was the cherry on top. The only negative was the table was kind of small for all the dishes...though that could have been user error with us ordering way too much. Portions were surprisingly big, especially the seafood pancake. The whole time, our littlest one was making a mess and the ladies that worked there did not seem perturbed at all, and kept commenting about how cute he was and interacting with him. This type of service and response made us feel more at ease and able to "enjoy" our meal, and that makes a world of difference. I would recommend! Note the parking lot is a little small.

My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it. Although I won't be back, I did see people ordering for take out nonstop, so there must be some other dish that is giving them customers.

Their Hae Jang Guk was the only soup with the bone filled up the bowl. However, because there's no space in the small bowl, even a little nudge made its soup spilled all over my sister's body. The waitress just then gave her a bib but the damage had already been done. The Bulgogi and Katsu took the longest to come out but they were the highlights of our meal. Service: We were the only table at the time and our waitress only gave us 2 menus for a table of 6 so we had to go grab our own from other tables.
