We're not a huge fan of the spice. We've also ordered their Orange Chicken a handful of times. We like that they use real oranges to give the dish some zest. My friend has been telling me that this was a place that her and her husband absolutely love in Huntington Beach, so when I saw that one was opening close by in Cypress, I was excited to go! A few days prior I was redeeming a free burger at Mooyah that was expiring in six days, and I happened to see the Grand Opening banner here at Juicy Dumplings. When one of my friends mentioned meeting up for dinner today, I suggested this place and four of us came to try it out. I didn't have the highest expectations because it was so new, and I saw that already angry review right away. However, I also put into thought that there are other locations so maybe they would have the kinks worked out sooner. I also saw some new raving reviews added. When we entered we were immediately greeted and had a choice between a few areas on where to sit. We were handed menus and the server brought us water. She was so friendly and explained a lot of the menu to us. We ordered so many items between the juicy chicken dumplings, pan fried pork and corn dumplings, orange chicken, white rice, green beans, and some spicy won tons. The food came out quickly and the food was SO good. We all enjoyed every bit that we had and this was some of my favorite orange chicken that I've had. We got more food than we planned because we wanted to try many things. The service was so friendly by all and we did not have any issues and hardly had to wait for our food. Pork Spicy Wontons i usually like spicy wontons but think they're all the same, but THESE were a stand out for me. with 8 pieces of wontons, they are served hot and so juicy they almost pop in your mouth on the first bite. They didn't have soup spoon or sauce plates and so we had to ask for them. I came here for lunch with my coworkers and we ordered a bunch of different items and shared family style. Cucumber salad 4/5 - a bit pricy for what it is but it was really fresh, crispy, and super garlicky. Spicy wontons 4/5 - not the best spicy wonton I've had but it was packed with flavor. Dan Dan noodles 3/5 - came with minced pork and bokchoy but it tasted a bit bland to me. Pork/chicken XLB 3/5 - good, but not great. The wrap is a bit thick and not enough soup inside in my opinion. Here's one of the branches of Juicy Dumpling Factory eateries. It's basically one step up from fast food quality. The servers were very friendly and pleasant. This location has about 15-20 tables. It's about the same size as other locations. On to the food. We had fan fried chive, shrimp and pork dumplings which were not bad. I think better than the normal steamed dumplings for presentation and texture. The Dan Dan noodles were pretty good. They look spicy but not really. The sweet and sour spare ribs were probably the best of the items. Quite unique flavor. Don't get the beef with broccoli. It's heavy on the broccoli. The beef slices were thinner than yoshinoya and proportionally teeny. It should be named broccoli with barely any beef. I might go back if I'm craving some noodles or the spare ribs. read more

I ordered the garlic green beans, chow mein, spicy wontons and shrimp pork chives dumplings. The greens beans were very garlicky but I did not mind it because I enjoy garlic a lot. Very good appetizer. The spicy wontons were very good with a great kick to them. As for the chow mein and shrimp dumplings they lacked a lot of flavor. For the chow mein I had to add some sauce or spice to give it a some flavor. The same goes to the dumplings. I had to add some chili oil for a little bit of flavor. Slight shame they skimped on the filling, but glad to have tried it. - Chicken Chow Mein: It is a bit oily, but that's chow mein in general. I appreciate that they put big chunks of chicken in the dish as opposed to other restaurants where the chicken are just slivers or overall underwhelming. - Kung Pao w/ Shrimp: Very saucy, and more on the savory/spice-side than sweet, thankfully, as opposed to how other restaurants serve them. - Beef Roll: One of my favorites. The dough was so flaky and the vegetables were a refreshing addition to the marinated beef. - Juicy Pork Dumplings: The wrapper isn't as delicate as I had hoped, and I wish the meat itself was a bit more seasoned. Though it wasn't as juicy as I had hoped, it satisfies that craving for Xiao long bao. - Shrimp, Pork, and Cabbage Dumplings: Hidden gem. I'm happy to say that I've found a new Taiwanese restaurant in the area, that is as good as the restaurants back in SGV! We tried two different dumpling types and a steamed bun, along with a beef wrap - all were very tasty! The Service: Friendly and quick, they were happy to help my son through the menu options and were on top of things the whole time there. Ambiance: Clean, with plenty of space! Lots of room to relax and enjoy your meal. Plenty of inside and outside seating, and for 8:40p in the evening the place was hopping! They had to eventually turn away folk as the kitchen needed to close, but their quality clearly speaks for itself as there were lots of folk hoping to get an order in before they closed. The first time I went here I would give 5 stars. Everything was delicious! The second time I came here I ordered to go and what a nightmare. Green beans super salty, shrimp fried rice way under seasoned, and the Dan Dan noodles were terrible! It was like a bland noodle soup lacking depth of flavor. The spare ribs tasted great but they weren't tender. Had a tough time getting the meat off the bone. The orange chicken was too saucy and the broth on the braised beef noodle wasn't the flavor profile I liked. The food was not terrible by any means.
