Located in a small plaza, this place might be easy to miss. There is a lot with plenty of parking. The inside is very well decorated with everything from The Night Before Christmas. You'll find seating here on benches with photo worthy backdrops and a couple tables with stools. I ordered the longan refresher with grass jelly and 0% sweetness, and it was plenty sweet for me since the longan was in a syrup of brown sugar. We got a few items from the supermarket a few doors down and I noticed this new boba shop that my friend had told me about. My hubby treated me to Jungle milk tea with crystal boba and he chose the kumquat refresher with dragonfruit bursting boba. The staff was really nice and wanted to make sure we were happy with our drinks. I like that they offer some different unique flavors. I only know if one other shop that has pandan flavored drinks and this was the first time I saw dragonfruit bursting boba on the menu. The shop is small, but had a jungle feel to it- hence the name. Kung Fu Tea in convoy hasn't been dethroned yet, but if there is a boba shop I personally enjoy and even prefer at times, it is Jungle Tea. Underrated boba spot! Really needed my boba fix and this was the right spot to go to. Many people go to Convoy for boba, but Convoy can get really busy and parking can be a pain to find. There was plenty of parking spots by Jungle Tea which is a great plus. I ordered the Creme Brulee Tiger Milk (which comes with boba) and the Taro Smoothie with Grass Jelly. I initially wanted the Creme Brulee Purple Tiger, but it was sold out when I arrived. It seems to be one of the more popular drinks so don't come near the closing time like I did as it may be sold out! The lady at the register was extremely kind and helpful, as she recommended the Taro Smoothie after informing me the Purple Tiger was sold out. I ended up getting the Taro Smoothie with Grass Jelly which I enjoyed! Highlights: - Customer service was very nice and helpful; the lady working was very knowledgable with the drinks and helped me with my order -Creme Brulee Tiger Milk was my favorite! Although I wasn't able to adjust the sweetness for either of the drinks, she told me she could adjust the amount of brown sugar and not to shake the drink too much (you're supposed to shake the drink to combine the brown sugar with the milk) -Boba texture was great! It was the perfect softness, and only a few outlier odd balls where the boba pearl was a bit mushy -Overall great experience! I'm picky when it comes to boba tea shops so I was naturally skeptical to see the high ratings in the early reviews for Jungle Tea. The shop is in the Camino Village Plaza which is also where R & B Filipino Cuisine is located. It's not a busy area so the parking situation is easy. The interior was clean and spacious with a jungle theme. There were no chairs or tables though which meant all orders were to-go. The menu had the standard selections... Classic Teas, Fruit Teas, Milk Teas, Specialties, Refreshers, and Smoothies. Some places offer more drinks within each category, but there was a sufficient number to choose from. What caught my eye was the Dragonfruit. That is not a common flavor for fruit teas which made it my choice. I asked for 80% sweetness, less ice, and boba. The worker who prepared my boba tea was very nice. He asked multiple times if I needed any adjustments and even offered to re-make my drink. The dragonfruit flavor was excellent and better yet, the boba pearls were cooked to a soft consistency. The prices were probably a bit higher than the competition on Mira Mesa Blvd or Convoy St, however that wasn't enough for me to give less than a five star rating. read more

Super cute decor & workers were friendly and got our orders quickly! They only have a few wooden bench tables, small and cozy place to lounge. Keep in mind: they don't have milk substitutes for those that are lactose so be wary. I wanted to try a few drinks: -taro smoothie: this is my usual order anywhere else, so you can't really mess this up! I love taro/ube flavors. -honeydew milk tea - this was pleasant and tasted flowery and refreshing and sweet. -avocado smoothie: SO glad they have avocado options since a lot of places don't! Stopped in because I was pretty desperate for caffeine lol Ordered a jungle coffee after the cashier recommended it and paid and was waiting but then was told that they were actually out of jungle coffee... was kind of irritated (probably my lack of caffeine kicking in) and she offered to make me my second choice instead. Turns out that they just didn't have enough to finish the drink off and they felt bad that it was more ice than they wanted to put in and the drink wasn't filled all the way to the top... I definitely wouldn't have even noticed a difference, but the fact that the manager or owner came out and gave me that drink but also made a whole new drink for me was a huge deal to me as a customer. It shows they take pride in their product and serve their best, every time. I would back a business like that and while I might not have come back before, would now be a repeat customer and even highly recommend them to others. You can have an amazing product (which they do have pretty yummy drinks- I got the jungle coffee and the matcha) , cute decorations (very vibey and insta-worthy!) but unless you have stellar customer service, I don't consider a place worth going. I think it would be helpful if they put a description of the creatively named drinks up so that I don't have to bother them haha. I ordered the jungle milk at 75% sugar. It is mung bean and pandan. It has a creamy, slightly grainy taste. I would get 50% sugar or less next time. Unfortunately they were not able to blend it with ice. I imagine it would be tasty in a smoothie form too! My husband ordered the ice cream milk tea but expected it to be more icy. It was more like melted ice cream milk tea. He still liked it but said he would order it with less sugar as well. If you're looking for drinks with strong tea flavor, this place is definitely not for you. I ordered 3 different drinks to try and they all tasted super bland. I even ordered the tea with no sugar and no ice (did not take a photo of that drink), it was literally just the tea itself in the cup, but it still had no tea flavor nor tea fragrance. Like there was nothing else in the cup that could alter the tea taste, however, it was managed to taste so bland -__- Creme brulee tiger milk tasted very rich in an odd way to me. Green milk tea was not any better, no tea flavor at all. Sad to say that after taking 2-3 sips in each of the drink I bought that day, they all went to the trash. My favorite is the crème brûlée purple tiger, the boba that it has inside is cooked to perfection. I always use to think I didn't like boba because of the texture until I started getting it here. Solid boba spot! This shop is bright, clean and adorable. My kids love the cute pokemon decorations. It's a small shop but they manage to make look very open and inviting. Tony, the owner, was very patient and made awesome recommendations when we ordered. He asked us to try and drinks and let him know if there was anything we didn't like. New addition to Mira Mesa, and it's a small business boba shop! Finally not another franchise chain which is nice and refreshing. First off, my partner and I came in asking for a regular black milk tea.... the thing is that they do not offer any milk teas with black tea, which I thought was so odd! They said all their milk teas are made with only green tea. They did offer to make a black milk tea, but they honestly do not have a recipe for it so it might not be great... Love that they try to accommodate for us, but it is so weird since black tea is typically the standard for milk teas. The drinks we got were jasmine green milk tea and wintermelon milk tea. Both of these were asked with less sugar (75%) but honestly, I think 100% might better in terms of taste. Less sugar did not give more depth to the tea itself, so that was a little disappointing. Nothing on their part, besides the tea option they have chosen. Also, when drinking both blindly, I thought the wintermelon milk tea tasted almost exactly like the green milk tea... weird. The owners run the shop, so they do everything from cashier to making drinks. I can tell they love what they are doing and care about their customers a ton! We walked in and received a super friendly greeting with a smile and the man asked if we had any questions. He also offered us samples in case we wanted to try anything. All three of us tried a sample of the Dragonfruit Tea with the Dragonfruit Bursting Boba. It was delicious and so refreshing and tasty!!! My friends ordered the Dragon Sea Salt Coffees and they loved it. I ordered the Dragonfruit Tea and we got one extra to-go because it was that good. The girl that made our drinks was super sweet and friendly too. They even offered to take a group photo of us and she came from behind the counter and took a couple of photos of us.
