I visited the location in the valley plaza last week and received the worst service ever. We waited at least 20 min for our server to acknowledge us as we had joined a friend who was already seated waiting on us. We received burnt food which we sent back. She came back and said we would have to pay for the food still. We asked her to speak to a manager she stated there wasn't on working. We told her we weren't paying for food we didn't eat. She walked off and came back took our drinks from our hands and told us we needed to leave. She said we were being 86 and couldn't return. Imagine this: a restaurant that is about 40% full, but the waitress is trying to make you leave as soon as possible. Well that is exactly what happened. I met up with a friend who I hadn't seen in ages and was expecting to be able to eat and talk without being bothered. Nope not what happened. The waitress asked if we wanted our bill like half way into the meal. The actual food was A-OK. The chicken wraps were tasty but way too small. I think they could put more sauce on the chicken to give it more of a kick. Slowest service ever! Arrived at 3 pm 1 bartender and 1 waitress. We sat for about 20 minutes, I had to flag our waitress over to order our drinks then 15 min. later again to tell her we wanted to order our food. They were not busy so the food should have came out at least 25 min. after ordering, I think our waitress was also the cook. We requested to cancel our order just then our food came out, 45 min later. No plates were provided we had to eat on our napkins. No paper towels or toilet paper in the bathroom, had to use a seat cover... After the new ownership took place, service went down hill. read more

Recently came here for taco Tuesday. Holy hell. Do yourself a favor and come here on a Tuesday. $1 tacos that are ridiculously stacked with Meats. Carne asada, Carnitas, and chicken. Not sure if they have other meats. But for $1 a taco these things are absolutely stacked. You can also get them with traditional cilantro and onion and add cheese if you would like. Mine came with a red sauce on the side. The sauce wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. I would give the sauce 5 out of 10. They also have amazing Taco Tuesday beer specials. $2 for a pint of Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, or Coors Light. You can come here catch a solid buzz and get filled up on a Tuesday for hardly any money at all. I will definitely be coming back for taco Tuesday. I've had the wings here multiple times and they are always great. Some sauces are a hit for me, some are a miss. My kids and I went into Just Wing It on Saturday and ordered 50 wings to split between us and drinks. We got our food and as we were nearing the end of the wings my daughter started to count them and there were 40 wings instead of 50. We told our waitress and she seemed surprised, I offered to count the bones and remaining wings in front of her but she declined and asked if we wanted the 10 missing wings to go, I agreed. She then came back and told me that the cook is insisting that he gave me 50 wings and refused to make us the 10 to go! I was so upset, she then offered to give us $5 off, their 50 wings are $60, $5 wasn't going to cut it. She ended up giving me $10 off but it was such an effort to get that from her. It wasn't until there were 2-3 pieces of chicken left that she finally returned (Granted, we're not the type of people to flag someone down). My other friend had the buffalo flavored wings and those weren't overly coated and the flavor of the chicken was manageable coming from an individual who does not eat spicy foods. Overall, the experience was okay. If I am in the area and craving wings i will come by and get them with the garlic parm. sauce again, but i'd probably ask the server to have them LIGHTLY coat the chicken. I was there for about 10 minutes after ordering when I was informed this item is no longer being served! Why is it on the menu??? I instead ordered 10 boneless wings with the Dead Man Walking sauce. They were extremely hot and it was difficult to get the waiter's attn so I could get more to drink. It wasn't busy, so I'm not sure why he wasn't very attentive. Visited Bakersfield for my girlfriend's business trip and to also hang out with some family members. My cousin suggested we get some chicken wings and watch the basketball game. The place is pretty nice and has plenty of TVs to watch the game. It is a bar environment so it's fun to watch people get drunk and scream at the TV. Service: Very poor service. There was only one bar tender and one server working the entire floor. We tried to be nice to her because we knew she had a lot to cover, but she didn't even seem sorry about taking 30 minutes to order our food or even get a glass of water. It took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered. We wanted to try the hottest chicken wings because they were mentioned on the Food Network. Well if I try something that hot, I'm going to need extra water. The service was so slow, I basically let my mouth burn out because we didn't get any extra water. Overall: The chicken wings were good, the beer was great. The service was terrible but I'll give the benefit of the doubt that our server was stressed out. Visited Just Wing It for a take out order for my wife. I was told 20 minute wait, but it took well over 30 minutes for the food to come out. I understand that they may be busy; so I just waited with my little boy patiently for the food to be ready. During my long wait, the servers not once came up and updated me on the status of the order. I got my check before the food came out and I placed $2+ amount of tip on it to round to a whole dollar amount. The food was fine. But this is not an issue about the food. Read on... But a few days later my wife lets me know that the amount charged was more than what I had put down on the ticket. This is your classic example of 'accidental' over tipping, unknown to the actual customer of course. I called immediately to let the management know this had happened. Manager asked for the information and offered to refund the over charge. I turned it down but instead let her know that this kind of stuff is never acceptable. Despite the myriad of excuses she came up with on behalf of her waitress, who apparently was likely 'so busy' that she probably made an error, I told her I just didn't buy it. I mean, how hard is it to type in the value that is so clearly written on the receipt? I am a weekly patron of this restaurant chain (especially the one on Panama, this one has great service and food) and I believe I will still go to this particular location (Ming) despite the service which is time and time again below average. I hesitate to say that I'll judge the restaurant based on this one experience. But if this kind of 'mistake' happens again, I'll probably stop patronizing Ming location entirely. read more
