Had this food at a friends house numerous times but never ate at the restaurant. Hubby had feta fries and a side of gyro meat (he's gf) and I had a chicken shawarma sandwich. 1. Pros- They had a patio for guests with doggies (us!) Food was tasty overall Service was quick 2. Cons- I asked what came in the sandwich and was told lettuce, tomatoes and onion and 1 sauce. I wanted tzatziki and the garlic paste and was told there would be an extra charge ( extra 3.00 dollars). When I received the sandwich it was dry- neither sauce was on the sandwich and the only other thing in it was pickles ( which I happens to like better than tomato and lettuce!) I was okay with the ingredients but the next person may not be. While dining outside with our pooch, one of the servers said she was afraid of dogs ( we have a 15 pound 'oodle' dog) and basically didn't want to deliver our food. I felt badly for her! Other than those few issues- food was good but hubby said he would go back to the kebabs since he liked those better- we will continue to eat here! read more

The Mediterranean is in my DNA. I'm fine inland for about a week, but then I yearn for a limitless view of the sea, for the colours and smells of the Italian and French Riviera -- Alain Ducasse Temecula is known as a conservative area with an occasional medieval worldview. Yet, their ethnic food scene is getting stronger and stronger, so the area is becoming more open and inclusive. Kabob House is another example coming after my great experience at Zen Curry. We had a lovely lunch here with hummus, beef shawarma and lamb chops. All were excellent, so filling, a perfect version of these dishes. Service was fast, friendly and efficient even though the server was working with one hand. Support local and different. Highly recommended! read more

Ordered food to be delivered to my work as I was hungry wanted something healthy and was craving kabob house. have to say I was very disappointed. I ordered that gyro supreme. It had no veggies and almost no sauce on it. made it super dry where I couldn't even eat it and wasted the money. Cool little restaurant inside and great service waiter was friendly and helpful. The reason for the four stars food quantity (portion size) was on the small side for the price. $90 plus tip for four entrée plates and just water. The rice portions were good size, but the main entrée was on the small side on all the plates. you should never leave a restaurant still hungry. read more

Came by today for a birthday dinner with a group of 6. We had a blast the food and service were spot on. Most def a place I will add to my restaurant rotation out here in Temecula. Our server was so kind she was on top of everything and very helpful. I loved the baba ganoush it was flavorful. The atmosphere was chill and it was a like cross between a nice place and more a mom and pop establishment. The chicken swarma with a side salad was the perfect combo. Food was okay, portions were kind of off on everything. It was good though, salad had one olive, and a tiny bit of cheese. I wish the plates were bigger once again. If you go to pacific pida or papa feta and get a 20+ dollar plate you are definitely getting full. Not here though. They can definitely improve. read more

This place has such good food! My husband and I were in Escondido for the weekend and stopped by to take out some food to reheat later that evening. I ordered the gyro sandwich. Knowing that we were going to reheat our food, he packaged it so I could assemble it later. Turned out, I didn't have the gyro until the night after. It was still sooo good and fresh! Thank you for packaging it the way you did! My husband ordered a plate of food which was easy to reheat...and he looooved his food! This was our second time ordering from Kabob House as we have a time share in Escondido. We will be returning to our time share in a month...so we will be back again! Don't waste your time ordering food from this establishment. I ordered a side salad, lentil soup, and beef shawarma plate. We received soup with no lentils, feta, or vegetables as described. No side salad, and the shawarma plate was supposed to come with a side salad, which we did not get. When called to report our order was not correct they insisted they sent the lentil soup, that it is actually lentil broth. However as I stated previously the description states lentils in a vegetable broth with vegetables, spices and feta cheese. She did not credit us for not sending the salad that was supposed to come with the plate. Poor customer service, tasteless food and description of their food is not what you get!!! Amazing food. Outstanding service. Great environment. Stopped here for a business lunch and was not disappointed. The menu selection is robust with plenty of traditional options. I always judge a Kabob shop on their steak and lamb kabobs, garlic sauce, and rice. This place was top notch! The steak was done absolutely perfect with amazing flavor. They pair it with the traditional grilled onions and peppers which were flavored with the perfect combination of seasoning, grilled flavor, and the meat. The lamb was large chunks also made perfectly. Paired with the pita and garlic this had to be one of the best lamb kabobs I ever had! The rich was cooked amazingly, pita bread was classic and amazing, and all the sauces were fantastic. The staff was super friendly and respectful of our meeting, kept our drinks full, and made sure our food was served as soon as it was done. Tasty Mediterranean food. I was craving some good ol Mediterranean food and this restaurant came up on Yelp search. I decided to give it a go and was nicely surprised. We arrived here around 12:30 for lunch. The place wasn't too busy so we got seated right away. Our hostess presented us with the menus that looked nice, simple and easy to read through their different sections. We manage to order in no time. To start off with, we ordered falafel. The falafels came fresh and hot, served on a bed of shredded lettuce. Seasoned yogurt style sauce was flavoursome and went well with the falafels. This was a good start. My main was chicken shawarma wrap with choice of two sides. I opted for tabouleh and baba ganoush. Chicken shawarma was simply delicious, very tender and perfectly seasoned. The wrap was thin and toasted just right (wasn't falling apart). Tabouleh salad was made with fresh finely chopped parsley, tomatoes, mint, onion, and bulgur. Baba ganoush had great texture and consistency. What a perfect combo for the wrap. Our hostess was attentive and kept our iced tea glasses refilled. I will definitely come back here. read more

Use to frequent before Covid. Sandwiches size was on the larger end for the price. First time here in 5 years, got the chicken shawarma sandwich. Not much bigger than a fat cigar and it was $13, $15 after tax and tip for a carry out order. When I got into my car I had to actually check that there was food in the box, I couldn't believe how small this sandwich was when I saw it.. I mean, I know inflation and things, but wow. Probably won't be back. This is at best a $3 appetizers. Chicken was dry as well. Really disappointing, used to love this place. read more

The place was freezing it made all of the food cold. We got a family meal and asked for serving spoons multiple times and never got them. They even over charged us for the family meal. We ordered the 12 Kabob meal and were charged for the 18. Even when I sent a picture the manager Christina said that we were charged correctly, when clearly that wasn't the case. Half way through my order I get a frustrated "hold on let me put you on hold" ( not ordering anything difficult) then a minute later I get hung up on. I call back and re start my order with the girl on the other end being so rude I cancel my order. On two other occasions every time I get home with the food something is missing . Very pleasantly surprised! We were craving Mediterranean food and saw this place on Yelp. The inside is very clean and well maintained. We had the gyro pita and made it into a combo with fries and Coke. We also order the kafta platter with Greek salad and hummus. The portions were great and everything was fresh. Both meats were flavorful and no dry at all. The minor miss was the hummus which had a little too much lemon but otherwise smooth. We have date night on Fridays, going out to dinner at new places in the valley. We tried Kabob House in Temecula this week. We were a little worried when we got there and only one other table was filled. Hummm.... As we sat at our lamp lit table, the place had a good number of to-go orders and it filled up with 4 other parties. Relief!!! As it turned out, the food was wonderful. The waitress was attentive even though very busy with the tables and handling the to go orders. I noticed there was an outdoor patio, so it would be a good lunch spot too! read more
