Arrived for a birthday gathering and enjoyed exclusive use of the cozy, minimally decorated venue, surprisingly spacious enough for our group of around 30. While lacking aesthetic appeal, the food, albeit taking a while, was delightful. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Ordered pork chop plate which was inedible. I told the very uneducated waitress that you can't even cut into it let alone chew it. By then I was so upset. A minute passes the cook comes out and asks me to go to the kitchen and they both were telling me how my teeth were FUCKED up and it's my fault I can't chew. WTF OH NO THEY DIDNT GO THERE. So I let loose and gave them a piece of my mind. They had the nerve to charge me for it!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! Food is tasteless, service sucks to another level, and cooks have no idea how to cook. Awful place. Khinkali is my favorite dish, I dreamed to try them. This place was highly recommended for khinkali and shashlik. I have dairy allergy, so I asked waiter about any dairy contents before i ordered. She said 'no dairy at all'. When she brought our food all the dumplings was generously dipped into butter. When I asked her about butter she said 'okay I'll bring new ones'. After two minutes she came back with the SAME dumplings, but without pieces of butter on top (butter still remained on the plate bottom). That means this place did not hear about dairy allergy at all. This is simply dangerous. read more

However, it appears they like to change their delivery policy depending on how busy they are and like to wait 20 minutes before letting a customer know they can't deliver. First of all, I am Armenian! So of course I love this food but more importantly in Glendale every other restaurant is Armenian so when I say this is the greatest most authentic Armenian food in town I mean it whole heartedly. My husband and I both had a warp from here yesterday and we were both blown away. We both devoured the food in the car (separately) and called each other to talk about how amazing it was. What makes this place special? The authenticity to the traditional Armenian flavors. Every "Mediterranean" place is trying to do something new and cool, but the original is the best and that's great hat I liked best about this place. No fake sauce to cover up a flavor or add a little something extra. This place is perfect! Also wonderful service and I highly recommended this place!!! read more

While the owner is nice. The food is dangerous! He served us RAW CHICKEN! His excuse and explanation was that we were rushing him, to have ordered it on a salad. There was a definite language barrier, not a problem, but it is universal to know how dangerous it is to serve raw chicken. It was the most bizarre atmosphere. No wall decorations. We almost didn't even go in because it looked like a private party with a long table and a family of 10 that we interrupted. Overall I would absolutely not recommend this place. We went today for my grandmother's sake after her funeral for about 20 people. We came at 2 pm and there were no public restrooms to use and we had to wait. While we're eating they brought out the kabob first then after 45 minutes after everyone had already eaten because of hunger they brought out the rest of the food like the chicken and pork and more. We had given out complaints to the owner of the restaurant and were offered coffee in return until the rest of the food arrived. The customer service was terrible, I hope they change their way of service for other people! Would not recommend it! read more

This place gets zero stars. In the pursuit of the complaint-free kabob restaurant to take my relatives to dinner, I stopped by Kabob Land. I ordered a chicken breast kabob plate to take home and sample. I was told 15-20 minutes. To take up the time, I walked to the ATM at the Americana and came back to pick up my order. It wasn't ready. I waited another 10 minutes and was told it would be 5 more minutes. Across from where I was sitting, a group of 4 men (who weren't there when I ordered) were being served salads and kabobs. 15 minutes elapsed and I asked again how it was going. I was told another 5 to 10 minutes. By this time it had been almost 50 minutes for a kabob. Not only would my relatives never be able to wait this long to eat, neither could I. I left without kabob. I can't tell you how the food is, but I can say no kabob is worth waiting an hour. Clearly one should only eat here if they know the owners and staff. Hands down worst service I've had in all of Glendale/Los Angeles. read more

No, we left. I know glendale is a-hoppin' with Kabob places, and specifically, I remembered there was one right around this area. Was driving by with a friend, so dipped in. When we parked, there was a man standing outside smoking, by the time we went in, he had disappeared, but his smoke trail went all the way back to the kitchen. We cautiously walked in to a decently furnished, but terribly empty room of about 8 tables? We stood in the doorway for a while, a woman finally came out and looked at us. We asked for menus, she told us to have a seat and escorted us to the first table. it had an open water bottle on it, with the chair still ajar from whomever was there last. The place smelled like an ashtray. Smoke was in the air. My friend resisted sitting down while we looked at the menus. Based off the menus, we were fine. Decent selection, pricing was fine. But that cigarette smell... and for the limited time we were there, the service was poor. It took forever for us to get our menus... We walked out, saying that in order, it was the cigarette smoke then the service that kept us from staying. We got in the car and THEN looked at Yelp. We laughed because apparently our experience wasn't unique We found an alternative very close by. read more

But when food arrived my fries were missing and her response was "menu has changed and it doesn't come with fries anymore".......seriously? It's unfortunate that I have to leave this review but my family and I are incredibly disappointed and upset with the service and quality of this restaurant. We really put our trust in this place when we were searching for the right restaurant to honor our late grandmother. We arrived slightly later than scheduled due to heavy traffic but the restaurant was notified way in advance. As we arrived and settled in with appetizers, our food was served, but not even half of it. We were promised in our contract kabob, chicken, pork and salmon. As the kabob was served we were notified by the owner that he did not have enough room on his grill to put the rest of the food. As we were sitting and waiting for our food there were a number of individuals that came in and picked up order after order while we sat there waiting for ours. We had a decent amount of guests and it was upsetting knowing that we had reserved this place way in advance and paid but didn't get the service we as a family and my late grandmother deserved. We will never be able to go back and fix it. We are very angry and will never be returning here nor will we be recommending anyone. read more

We went on a monday night for a birthday celebration. I don't know if it was just a slow night or if they don't get much traffic - but we didn't see anyone else there. THAT is a shame - because we really liked this place. Food: Chicken and beef dishes were all very good. Nothing that stood out - and i mean that in a good way. The meat was cooked right, seasoned right, and came out in reasonable time. French Fries - WE ALL LOVED IT! It is crinkly and crispy with LOTS of black pepper. SO very good. I know fries are fries but these fries were just so great. "dumplings" i don't know what it is actually called, but they come in 6 and can be boiled or pan fried. juicy, flavorful, and (temperature) hot. The owners suggested boiled but our group preferred fried. The dough is a little thick for my taste - but i am asian and used to thin skin. hummus and yogurt dip: very flavorful.
