I had an exceptional dinner at Kaiseki Sanga on 3/12/2026. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What made it so special was the incredibly intimate experience with only 4 diners at a 10-seater restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I feel so lucky that I was able to grab a reservation so last minute, it helped that it was a Thursday night! Ambiance - 5/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering the restaurant, it feels like you've been transported into an elegant and timeless dining room. The indoor garden area and floral arrangements were just perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was a huge fan of the counter seating and being able to observe and interact with both the chefs and hostesses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - 5/5 The main hostess is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The chefs, Jintaro-san and Yuya-san, are very kind and masters of their kaiseki and sushi craft. I really enjoyed chatting with them as they worked and learning more about them and their menu. As I mentioned earlier, since there were only 4 diners the service felt even more personal. Food - 5/5 We were served a Sakura themed kaiseki menu for the month of March. I enjoyed the entire menu and I will highlight a few of my favorite bites: 1. The Hokkaido uni and negitoro with caviar were my favorite sushi bites of the night! They were both rich in flavor and luxurious in texture. Very high quality imported seafood from Japan! 2. The Wagyu katsu and red wine miso with whole grain mustard seeds were such a great fusion take of iconic Japanese and Western flavors. The sauces really elevated the deep fried wagyu. Thank you chefs and team for a special night and wonderful meal!

A5 Wagyu from Kyoto. Grilled to perfection over binchotan coals.

Vegas is a strip mall culinary town. Don't fall for the tourist traps. Drive, Lyft, bus, hitchhike over to Chinatown for the hidden gems. Kaiseki Sanga is in this nondescript store front in a bustling strip mall on Decatur. The January menu was an homage to osechi-ryouri which is traditional Japanese fare served on New Year's Day. All ingredients were sourced from the proper regions of Japan. All cooking and sushi preparation was executed at the highest level on par with what I have experienced in Tokyo or Kyoto. The chefs, servers and staff are all professional yet approachable and willing to explain and guide you through the two plus hour journey. Highlights: the opening platter had so many delights from the anago chawan mushi to the buri with kazunoko, the nigiri sushi were all excellent, the A5 wagyu melted in your mouth, the tempura was delicious, and the dessert was divine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Save your airfare to Japan and go visit Sanga for an experience of a lifetime.

Absolutely excellent experience and worth every penny. We got there a bit before 530pm and waited in our car. We saw two people come out in kimono and they led some guests inside, so we got out of the car and were greeted by them as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is decorated very nicely, with a clean and modern aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like the hallway that gives drama and anticipation for your dining experience. We sat and waited for the rest of the parties to arrive. In this time, they got our drinks and such situated. The service is so personal and attentive. I love that the personal interactions and the explanations of everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved that we could watch the chefs cook and I loved that they encouraged picture and video taking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is so freaking good. Everything was top quality and prepared so well. I wish I could afford to do an experience like this all the time.

We came here for my husband's birthday and had a great time! The service from the moment you approach the door to when you leave was fantastic. We were greeted outside as we were approaching the door to he restaurant. We were guided to our seat and the timing of each bite was so well executed and practiced, they make it look so easy. I've eaten at other similar fine dining places where the timing is off or doesn't make sense like a party arriving after us finishing before us. The pacing was smooth and well timed here. The food was yum! Such great quality ingredients and excellent preparation of the food. I didn't leave hungry and I did order an extra sushi but I could've gone for more of the delicious goodness. I highly recommend and would love to make time to come back in the future!

    Cheers chef, we appreciate you!!!

One of the best Kaiseki experience ever, the chef really cooked with precision and passion and love you can feel it in your food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A charming, intimate restaurant in a trip mall in Chinatown, so underrated and I almost don't want to share this secret spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wow, wow, is all I could say! From the beautiful paring choices to the smokiness and sweetness of the lobster in the miso soup to the flaky scale on the fish that he stood pouring hot oil over and over piece by piece. The high quality of the ingredients and the dedication to their craft yield beyond just food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only 10 seats so book in advance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff couldn't be more kind, and chefs couldn't be more skill and sweet. Thank you the entire team at Sanga for a magnificent meal and memory. Arigato!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was truly a great experience as soon as we walked into the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was presented in a lovely manner and the flavors were amazing. Probably one of my favorite experiences.

Sake course begins. Each glass is so beautiful

Sublime kaiseki omakase experience!! I feel as though I cannot add more to the extraordinary reviews but that is of course indicative of the high level of mastery that one will observe and enjoy (and pay for) at Kaiseki Sanga. As with most higher-end Japanese restaurants in Vegas, this is off strip, a bit unassuming (or verily!), and your Uber driver might be somewhat flummoxed although that is part of the beauty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You go from the concrete, sweltering madness that is Las Vegas in all its hedonistic beauty to an oasis of serenity, calm, traditionalism, yet welcoming, warm and dare-I-say touching ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are clearly dedicated to their craft, very knowledgeable, and strike that right balance of explaining without being pretentious or overbearing about the descriptions. The owner hovers patiently and thoughtfully on the side, and is connected to Kabuto. She is a master of Japanese art and a real font of knowledge for things such as lacquerware, kintsugi, et al. The chefs have an array of weaponry, I mean knives, on the walls and their cutting skills and preparation are second to none. I come from a French family and the French love soups - I had maybe one of the best soups I've ever had at a restaurant here. They're serious about their vegetables, broths, and presentation as much as of course their fish...and...rice. The rice is great. It is vinegar'ed and served Edomae style as this location bowed to the pressure to have a sushi experience in the Kaiseki dance, which was wonderful too and filling. You will definitely leave quite full and I opted for the premium sake experience. Each bottle and carafe and container was so beautiful and the history and provenance of each blew me away. Of course, you will feel it, so opt for Uber or a designated driver on the way home! Everyone was especially welcoming, gregarious and the food/sake was 5-stars all around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt as though I experienced a Japanese museum of food and culture.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Probably the best experience of Japanese food in Las Vegas. Some of the best stuff is just off the strip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is an intimate setting in Spring Mountain in a pretty crowded plaza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, they greet you by the door and let you in through a hallway that leads you to the seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a reservation only so make sure you do it through resy! The whole experience was great. The chefs are extremely interactive and they would appreciate if you ask any questions about the preparation of the meal. It's basically like an omakase, but they call it a kaiseki, like a coursed meal. It's a different menu depending on season. For sure a 10/10 just because the hospitality, the perfect food, and the wonderful chefs. The waitresses would also explain each dish and the meaning of them before you get to eat them. The price does come to $250 plus tax and tip. However, you do leave full. Definitely a must go whenever you're in Las Vegas

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sanga, is located in an unpretentious storefront, buried in a strip mall, away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It delivers the skill, cooking techniques and presentation of a multi course tasting Japanese meal. The fine art and expertise of Kaiseki Dining, that centers around freshness, seasonality and high quality ingredients is seamlessly executed at a high level. In essence, encompassing the elements of Nama (raw), Nuru (Simmered), Yaku (grilled, Musu (steamed) and Ageru (fried). It is a structured meal, because there is a specific order of the delivery of dishes. Sanga, is a 10-Chef counter seat, tasting menu restaurant, comprising an open kitchen, where the Kaiseki culinary prowess of the 3 chefs were on full display. Introductions and explanations were delivered by Rick, the host, for all the courses (8 including the Amuse). Most of the ingredients were sourced from Japan. For example, the A5 Wagyu beef from Kyoto and the Uni from Hokkaido. The restaurant displayed certificates and traceability framed documentation to guarantee authenticity. All the courses, some with multiple items, were wonderfully prepared, to highlight, texture, flavor and varying tastes. The Wagyu beef was my favorite, either simmered or grilled to perfection. Both melted in your mouth. The sashimi and sushi courses oozed with freshness. The Uni, married very well with other ingredients in the hand roll, and was a definite show stopper in the sushi course. The soups and appetizers were different. The $250 tasting menu (before taxes and gratuity) has to be secured by reservation with a credit card. Miss the cancelleation window and you will be charged a penalty fee of $150. There is a $85 Sake Pairing and a $150 Premium Sake pairing. Personally, I don't believe in any type of pairing and alcohol contaminating my taste buds and skewing the overall outcome of the meal. Therefore, I always go for water pairing. Many consider Sanga to be the best Japanese meal in Las Vegas. No question, I totally agree and corroborate with that accolade. It is a Japanese tasting gastronomic experience that is unique and unforgettable. Service, at all levels, from start to finish (about 2 hours), was nothing short of outstanding.

3/23/24 We were so excited to try Sanga and made reservations for our family to try a Las Vegas Kaiseki dining experience (multi-course prefix meal) which included both our boys. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our experience was unfortunately lack luster due to where we were seated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our reservation was at 8pm on a Saturday. We arrived at the plaza and parked (shared parking spaces looked sketchy at night), the establishment overall looked somewhat hidden and new. There was a fabric sign displaying Sanga and construction going on next door. We checked in at the door and walked down a narrow aisle to our private seating room. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in a white wall no decor isolated room (similar to a closet that only had room for one table and 4 chairs).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was construction going on next door that was extremely loud (tools, drills, drums, the works at 8pm!) that completely ruined our dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The host did apologize and said they believe it's going to be a nail salon but it was not something they could help. While we understand this is not the restaurant's fault, they should have opted not to seat anyone in the room. It was not enjoyable for our little family especially at the prices we were paying. The food was good. A few courses were excellent while the nigiri's were just ok. We were so proud of our sons (14 & 9) trying everything served. They are great at giving me their opinions too! Our dining total was $1500 (2 pairings at $85/pp) and not something we do often at all by any means. We love exploring hole in the wall affordable places as well as splurging on eats like this once in a while. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We would have 1000% preferred to have been giving the dining option to be served and eat in the dining section of the restaurant which we did not have any visuals to until we were being walked out of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chefs were kind enough to take group pics for us to document our kids first Kaiseki's time. I look back to our experience a year ago (failed to publish the draft) and surprised by their rating today! Hopefully they have made progress this past year from our experience. With so many options in Vegas, it would have to take a convincing yelp review from my close yelp family to get me to go back and try again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A very hidden place at the same plaza of samurai Japanese BBQ. There's no sign of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just ask and push the glass door in and through the dimming-light path, then you will see the very intimate open kitchen with seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's by appointment, 5:30pm or 8pm. $250 PP. there's also the wine and sake pairing, or you can order beers and teas. There's the introduction with presentation with every course. Each course is tiny, but they do get you filled up at the end (not very full but enough and content). I wouldn't say it's the best or must try. But it is worth of it with the price, and the service is great. They do change their menu every month. My favorites of the meal are Uni, Otoro, tuna sashimi, and wagyu

Kaiseki Sanga just launched its fall menu today (August 1st), and it's absolutely worth a visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating is elegant and comfortable, and the service is gracious and attentive--everything you'd hope for in a kaiseki experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The dishes are beautifully paced, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful choices, especially in the sashimi and sushi selections. The rice was excellent, and the wasabi had just the right bite. Portions are generous, so come hungry--despite pacing myself throughout the courses, I still couldn't finish dessert! Highlights? The negitoro with uni and caviar stole the show--rich, layered, and indulgent. The otoro, lightly seared with a hot knife, added a subtle warmth and depth to the buttery texture. And the crab? Super crunchy and unexpectedly addictive. Definitely give it a try--it might surprise you. Overall, a refined, delicious, and memorable experience.

Kaiseki Sanga Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Kaiseki Sanga

Do you accommodate groups of 20?

Max is 16. That includes bar seating (in front of the chefs ) and back dining room.

Is the sake pairing several cups of different types/brands of sake, or just one bottle?

Several different types. The premium sake tasting had a high end one. It was well worth it.

Is there a dress code for dining here?

No dress code but it is fine dining.

    How much is the seating?

    $250 a person

    Is this restaurant Kid friendly?

I would say no. Not unless your kids are older than 13 and can sit still for a good authentic experience. There are no altering the menu and you can't just order what you want. This is a pre planned pre coursed out meal. There are only 10 seats in…

Is dining there by reservations only?

    Yes

What's the average price per person?

Depending if you order any additional alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, it could range between 300-350 without or 400-500+ with. The overall experience is very very much well worth it.

They give you the cutest little woven basket to carry while you shop, which makes the whole experience feel extra charming and whimsical. I ended up getting at least one of almost everything to share with my family, and the egg with shiso leaf onigiri was my favorite. Everything else we tried was great as well. Chamon will definitely stay on my list of places to revisit whenever I'm back in Las Vegas. It's also absolutely worth making the trip off the Strip for.

I was 9th in line. I've came here twice and first time the negitoro bowl with the uni and crab was sold out for that day. The negitoro bowl honestly tasted worse than it looked. It just tasted bitter and bland, no sweet fresh ocean taste like other chirashi bowls I've had. Maybe it was the egg yolk soy sauce that ruined the flavor for me. It just did not taste like high quality ingredients. I even got extra crab. It was half a crab leg for $6. The snow crab honestly tasted no better than the frozen grocery store stuff, nothing like the fresh stuff from a proper sushi place. The first time, I tried a tempura bowl. It was good, more authentic than most Japanese places in the states, but not super amazing like I need to go back to eat it again. The best food here is their onigiri. The variations and recipes can top the ones found in Japan, very authentic. They do put a little too much rice so you get full fast and can't try too many. They do not keep very well and you need to eat them same day because the rice hardens in the fridge or the fish starts stinking and goes bad! So pick your poison if you wanna buy a lot. The other stuff is not worth standing in line for if you've had authentic Japanese food in Japan or in another bigger city with top notch sushi or fresh fish. I'm from LA and the tempura at Tendon Tempura Carlos Jr in LA is better. There is better fish and rice to be found in LA too like the quality is similar to Sugar Fish and KazuNori. These are very easy to get into spots in LA you don't need to stand in line so I'm surprised to find the crazy hype here. I admit the presentation is nice and the shop's vibes feel very much like you've been transported to Japan. But the cooking quality and flavors are only slightly above average. 3 stars for the cooked food. 4 stars for onigiri. I probably will never come back again now I've tried their signature dishes and see that it's mediocre. The food is not worth the lines it has at all, especially if you're from a big city with good Japanese restaurants. Maybe come here for the Japan nostalgia and vibes or if you've never had authentic Japanese food. If you want to splurge, apparently Kabuto across strip mall parking lot nearby is VERY good. Top 3-5 omakase in the country.

Otherwise, it's a really authentic Japanese restaurant and all the servers seem genuinely from there haha. Food: 10/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Value: 6/10

Katsu Ya Ton Ton is excellent. I made plans to meet a friend for lunch and wanted to try this place. Easy access from Durango just North of Warm Springs on the West side of the street. Ample parking, but the place itself (you can see from the photos) isn't large and they don't take reservations. We aimed to be there for 12:30P lunch figuring we'd just be the lunch crowd. I arrived a little early and they were already full up! The place is popular and with good reason. I added our part of 2 to the list and we waited maybe 10 minutes. So cute and authentic inside. Tables turned over fairly quickly. The staff is super friendly and efficient. They were there to guide and help us with menu choices and offer recommendations. I went with the pork katsu set that included soup, rice, piles of shredded cabbage, my main pork cutlet, and some pickles. The cabbage and soup is AYCE which was a nice offering though I didn't need it. I also got salmon poke with yuzu which was tart and so fresh. Recommended. My lunch date order Katsu Chicken Curry. The food is outstanding. Every bite elicited a "Mmm" from me as the soup broth was deep and savory. The pork was perfectly cooked, crispy outside, juicy and tender on the inside. I love the shredded cabbage. Their Katsu sauce is delicious and you get to grind your own sesame seeds which impart a crazy delicious, nutty texture. The Katsu Chicken Curry was also excellent. I would struggle next time to pick one over the other. There are plenty of places to find Katsu but none compare to Katsu Ya Ton Ton for perfecting this really tasty dish. Highly recommended!

Wow, I have serious FOMO for this place. Where have I been for the last 10 years?!…read more I first visited Hachi back in 2015 when they had just opened. I remember thinking it was good, but the yakitori was a little too salty for my taste. I think that's why we never made it back. Even though I've heard great things about it over the years, we were busy trying all the new restaurants popping up around town. Well, here I am 10 years later, and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Hachi is officially the best izakaya in Las Vegas. In fact, I'd put it above some of the highly regarded izakayas I've tried in Costa Mesa and Irvine. The food quality is chef's kiss. Tip: Make reservations. This place fills up quickly. Ambiance (4/5): A true hole-in-the-wall Japanese izakaya feel. Simple, cozy, and clean. Service (5/5): Quick, friendly, and efficient. Food (5/5): Fresh sashimi, delicious appetizers, and perfectly executed yakitori. Loved: * Beef Tongue Skewers (5/5) * Chicken Skin (5/5) * Chicken Thigh (5/5) * Sashimi 5 Kinds (5/5) * Pork Cheek (5/5) * Scallops & Uni Carpaccio (5/5) * Salmon Carpaccio (5/5) * Karaage (5/5) Ok: * Agedashi Tofu (3/5) * Beef Tataki (3/5) * Tsukune (3/5) * Scallop Skewers (3/5) I'll definitely be back soon for more sashimi and yakitori. This time, I won't make the mistake of waiting another 10 years.

The service was amazing, and our server was super friendly and had great recommendations. My absolute favorite was the Lemon Salmon Roll it was seriously so good! The nigiri was fresh and delicious, the miso soup was flavorful, and the oysters were also really good. We also ordered the baked mussels, which were tasty, and the crispy rice was an easy 10/10. Our server recommended the Chanel Roll, and I'm so glad we tried it because it ended up being one of our favorites. Everything tasted fresh, the quality was excellent, and we never had to wait long for our food. If you're looking for great all-you-can-eat sushi with fast service, fresh fish, and an awesome staff, I definitely recommend Sushi Neko. We'll definitely be coming back!

We were just a party of 2 so we only waited like 10 minutes. It was super busy but we were able to get lots of orders in. There were lulls when we wouldn't see our waiter for a bit but it's understandable since they were packed. We did the all you can eat so I believe we had 90 min and we never felt rushed. The food super yummy and fresh. I loved the pork belly options and ate 3 skewers. I should have kept it to 2 but we definitely left stuffed. My husband tried the hottest rolls and they were all manageable (for someone who eats hot things). He said the hottest one was maybe a 7-8 out of 10 on his scale. We will def be returning.
