After passing by here a million times, we finally decided to give it a try. This is a franchise that comes from Armenia, which made me all the more curious to try. The place was not too packed. Service was decent, they did their job at attending to us and giving recommendations. We got the family platter which was a great size for 5 people. The chicken and beef were quite good. The tatziki was a little different from what I normally have, but good. We also tried the lamajun, it was pretty good but I'd like to see more meat in it. I'm not sure why this place does not have high stars but I know I absolutely enjoyed the restaurant and service. First and foremost I am not being biased at all but it definitely felt great to see Armenian and Russian employees work. The place felt very much like home (Armenia). The food was delicious. We had the eggs and tomatoes, meat and potatoes with peppers, and mushrooms all tastes very good (homemade style). We had kampot (Russian drink with whole fruits inside)....very refreshing. Awful experience at 7 pm on a Saturday .... waited and waited ... eventually got up to find a server ( we were outside ) eventually ordered pork chops and pork wings . Sever said pork chops may not be available and what was my 2nd choice - beef kebab. After a lengthy wait the ribs and the kebab arrived ( guessing no pork chops ) completely inedible . Rice was cold and the beef was ... well look at picture and see. My daughters ribs were so dry she couldn't even scrape the meat off with a knife . Horrible experience, cold-hearted aholes. I came here with my two small kids 1yr and 3yrs this past weekend when it was 104 outside. We parked and were walking around before coming to restaurant to sit outside in one of the individual divided tables with mist. Because we had been walking our heads were slightly elevated in temperature and so the guy made us stand outside on the sidewalk for nearly 15minutes to the point both babies were crying and upset bc my 3yr son kept trying to go in and sit at the table but we weren't allowed to even though we confirmed not having corona virus. Last Saturday, me and my family wanted to have dinner and tried several places around the Americana but the wait time was over 3 hours. This place Kara had the least time to be seated so we took a chance. We ordered food but our drinks never came and we kept asking for our drinks, while the table on the other side of us received their drinks and appetizers. And worst of all, it took them almost the whole time to be served a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was not anything special either it had one pepperoni per slice and thin crust. We had to keep getting someone's attention to even get extra water. The fact they charged for each time we wanted more bread or lavash is ridiculous. They could have told us they were charging for more. Food okay.The service here was the worst ever. The staff catered to there own people They received better service. I came in the morning to grab some breakfast. As we sat down and looked at the menu, we decided what we were going to order. The waiter then came and said that the chef wasn't in and he would be back in an hour to an hour and a half. She said there was a limited number of things we could order since he wasn't in. We came here to get the Armenian breakfast and pizza, of which neither were available. I'm not sure why the restaurant is even open if they can't accommodate to their customers. Second experience was probably the worst experience I've had at any food place. I ordered the lula chicken kabob plate. The chicken, rice, roasted tomato and hummus all tasted terrible! Super bland and no flavor at all.I was trying to still eat it, but after about three or four bites I couldn't eat anymore. They also do not give you any bread to eat with the hummus. I asked if I could order something else instead. The manager refused to replace it with something else. The waitress said that they can only take meals off the bill if it's because of something they caused, like a hair being in it. They made me pay for a full plate of food that I did not even eat. They kept trying to get me to take the rest home in a box and I kept having to tell them that I don't want it! Horrible customer service to say the least! Great location, nice and clean restaurant. However, it needs major improvements. The food was too salty and very dry. The waiters are inexperienced and unprofessional. While I was looking through the menu and not sure what to order, since the menu itself was very confusing, another waiter came over to me and grabbed the menu out of my hands. I told her I was still looking through it, but she insisted, and let us know she was short on the menus and that she had to serve other tables. I told her that I had not decided on my order and that I still needed the menu, however she proceeded to look me in the eye and walk away. I love this place! Discovered it a month ago and have been here every week since. I'm Armenian, so I expected their food to be just like all of our typical dishes. To my surprise it's not.
