This place could be so good, but unfortunately it has a lot of issues it needs to take care of. Those issues should have been handled way before opening up. 1. POOR SERVICE - I cannot reiterate that enough. - No plates/utensils/napkins on the table. They brought that after the food was already on the table. - A few people were waiting for us. When we got there they had water already, but we had to wait like 15-20 minutes to get water, before it was noticed that we even sat there. - We ordered appetizers, they left the menu with us, and never came back for us to order food. It took about 30-40 minutes for the appetizers. We ended up just getting the check since it took so long. 2. No one knows the table numbers, not even the manager. They have a buzzer on the table to call the waiter/waitress, but they just walk around not knowing where to go. 3. Food is bland. The melted cheese khachapouri (?) was not bad. We got a margarita pizza - it was mediocre also. We got comped 2 Thai Beef dishes (though the manager called it an Indian dish; also, it's Beef and Chicken, so I don't know why it's titled beef). That was also very bland. Overall experience was really poor. You can see that on everyone's faces in the restaurant. People raising their hands to get attention. Employees faces all stressed/confused. I mean, it was just really sad. The location is so perfect and it has so much potential just because of location, but with the service that poor, management not in control, and food so bland, I don't know how they are going to handle the crowd. Wow! Where do I start?! Incredible bland food. One of the least flavorful pizzas I have ever had, worse than cheap bowling alley pizza. Overcooked rice and the worst chicken lulu kabab I have ever had. With all the Armenian and Lebanese restaurants in the area, this was an absolute disappointment. The service staff, though friendly was not trained at all, as multiple wrong orders or double orders were offered at our table. For almost 20 minutes we had no cutlery and only after our first order came out, did we receive the cutlery. We noticed that most patrons were complaining about their service and food that arrived was barely touched. This place needs to improve dramatically to survive in a prime location. read more

Been to this place twice. First time was a good experience, ok at the most. Second and last time was just horrible. The waiters seem to forget what we ordered. After telling us a certain food will be ready in 10-15 minutes, the second waiter comes and gives us another 30 minutes. About 5 of the menu items were unavailable because the oven was not working. Which is unacceptable. No restaurant big or small should give a " no we don't have " answer. Defiantly needs much better service. read more

It's not the most welcoming place to step into, since they assume you are Armenian right away and unless you say you are not, they will not switch into English. We waited 45 minutes to get the food. The view of Americana christmas lights was great, so I did not mind the wait that much. The borcht soup and the Ukrainian sweet waitress were the good part of food and service. They should hire more people atleast for the holiday season. The baked potato was too dry and tasted like it was baked days ago, and the chicken lula kabob was really bad. My group ordered a spongebob pizza since we thought the idea was hilarious and quite memorable to try. The pizza was delicious and of course we will always remember this place for their many creative pizza designs. My group member's favorite two things combined are pizza and spongebob. I tried the lamb chops. It was delicious and savory. I would come back to Karas for the lamb chops! For dessert, I got the creme brûlée. It was sweet to my liking and I would recommend it. We came here last week because it was cold and we wanted some soup. We ordered the following 1) yoghurt soup 2) shawarma 3) French Fries and 4) jarkoye The yogurt soup was phenomenal just like my mom makes. My sister had the shawarma and she loved it. The French fries were so fresh and golden. My kids were getting cranky so we couldn't even touch the jarkoye so I ended up asking for a To-Go box for my husband. He devoured it. Hands the best restaurant I've ever been too. Went there several times and every time the service and food has been impeccable! From the moment you walk in you are greeted with warmth and hospitality and are seated right away. I've even been seated on the outside patio portion and it us absolutely amazing.
