    Beef Noodle Soup
    Alyssa L.

Been living in west Seattle for 2 years now and have always been looking for a good Asian spot and today I finally got to try kinD! KinD is located on the junction and offers a unique twist on Asian food. We went on a weekday during their soft opening phase, so we got a free appetizer: fried dumplings to share which was so delicious! For our main dishes, we opted for a chicken and beef noodle soup since it was a chilly day. The beef noodle soup was a twist on traditional pho. The soup was very flavorful but I did miss the spices they use in a traditional pho. The meat was slightly overcooked probably from how hot the soup was but was overall enjoyable. The chicken noodle soup had round noodles kind of resembling udon and the broth was really light and comforting, kind of like a home cooked meal. The other menu items like the wagyu noodle soup and the curry rice looked good so I do want to give those a try next time as well. Overall, given that we went during their soft opening, the food was not bad! Shout out to Brandon, our server who was super attentive and gave us great recommendations as it was our first time visiting.

This was my second visit, and I couldn't stop thinking about the Szechuan shank noodle soup--it was that good. I came back to try more of the menu, and it didn't disappoint. The food and service are both excellent, and it's great to finally have a standout Asian restaurant in West Seattle. The handcrafted noodles are perfectly cooked, and both the broth and meats are rich and flavorful. This time I tried the red-braised wagyu, and it was incredibly tender--literally falling apart with every bite. For the quality, the portions and pricing feel completely justified.

Happened upon here craving some asian food. So cozy, so good, and very welcoming service. Love the quality texture of the noodles & the depth to the soup. I will be coming back !!

What an amazing gem in west Seattle! They have a variety of different soups and foods like banh mi or katsu. Super friendly service, their appetizers were all so good too! I highly recommend and would come back!

Just came back from Seattle, and I'm still dreaming about this soup. My friend and I went to this spot before she took me to the airport. I was really craving soup and this Red cooked Waguy Noodle Soup just hit the spot. It has a great amount of spices, umami flavor and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I added a bit of chili oil cause I cannot resist. Will be returning and recommending to my friends in the area. Parking: is in the back, Walk around the corner where chase bank is and I have attached a photo of the front, They don't have their sign up yet. Attached a pic of what I ordered from the menu.

I came here for the chicken and it was worth it!!!

A tiny place with big portion and authentic food…read more We came here on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was almost fully packed. I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.

Quick service, free hot tea in plastic cups (a classic), and chili oil at the table. Ask for white pepper btw! Depending on your taste, I like adding white pepper to my fried rice, chow fun, and soup. Wonton soup: the wontons are huge and filled with pork and shrimp. The soup however was kind of sour? Not sure what they added in, but the flavor of the broth was not my favorite. There's so much good wonton soup in the area! I wish this broth was better and more savory. Beef chow fun: pretty tasty and the beef was pretty tender. There was no work hei, so didn't have that distinct flavor Half chicken bone in: this was surprisingly our favorite dish! Steamed chicken with a ginger oil. The ginger made this dish and the chicken was very tender. The chicken comes cold so eat it with some rice and it's the perfect combo

The Chow Mein had a wonderful Wok Hei flavor and the chicken was juicy and tender. It was our favorite of the dishes. The Mixed Basket Xiao Long Bao was super fun to be able to try them all and pick your favorites. Mine was the wagyu beef, the original pork and the truffle. I was kind of sad that they didn't include soy vinegar and chili oil. I feel that those things enhance the Xiao Long Bao. The Lychee Sweet & Sour Pork Tenderloin I was most excited about. Unfortunately, it was the worst dish. The flavor was great. I love that it had lychee in it, but the breading was mush, and the pork was so hard and overcooked. It was inedible. Because of that dish and not including the condiments is my three star review.

The wontons were good, but the chili sauce was the star. It was numbing and a little minty feeling. It was really great over the fried rice, which didn't stand out to me but was good to pair the dishes with. The crab and pork soup dumplings were sooo tasty, I would definitely get them again. The prawns we got were also great, I really enjoyed the crunchy coating and extras that came with it. I really enjoyed the space and food, I will definitely be coming back!

I had been meaning to check Tai Tung out, and having a group is a great opportunity to try a variety of dishes family style. We ordered the fried chicken wings, half peking duck, beef chow fun, beef in oyster sauce (Bruce Lee's favorite), crab fried rice, and noodles with tofu (one girl had to be healthy!) The food was solid and nostalgic. It reminded me of the kind of Chinese food I would get in the 80s and 90s when we went out for Chinese food in New Jersey. We stayed, talking, until the restaurant closed. As my friends packed up and said their goodbyes, the staff noticed me looking around at the different tables. I wanted to find Bruce Lee's favorite table, which I had seen on online reviews of Tai Tung. The staff member very proudly brought us all into the next room, turned on the lights, showed us the photos on the wall, and told us about the history. We got a history and culture lesson with our meal. Best of all, our friends all congratulated me on the "great find!" of a restaurant, and isn't that the kind of validation every Yelper wants?
