    Beef Noodle Soup

This West Seattle restaurant is one of many I wanted to give a try, so for a trip to this part of Seattle and to also stroll around Alki Beach, I came here with a friend on a Saturday evening around 7:30pm. The interior immediately struck me as being pretty modern and minimalistic with several paintings on the walls and a bar area followed by several tables that seat groups of up to 8 people or so. Our wait wasn't long as most tables weren't filled until the absolute last minute right when we finished our 1-hour visit and ate our food. The menu has options including noodle soups, banh mi sandwiches, dumplings, rice plates and tons of drinks of all sorts. Staff gives you a tablet where you place your orders and add more when you feel like it. Our dishes took a good 20 or so minutes to finally come out which is a while given the restaurant wasn't packed in any way. As for our food: - We shared some homemade pork and shrimp spicy wontons, which came in six and showered with a spicy sauce similar to that of Lao Gan Ma chili crisps, only much thinner. We both agreed it wasn't too spicy but we were fine with the lower spice levels. - I got their beef noodle soup, which - put simply - felt more like a regular bowl of pho minus the lime and other small stuff. It has sirloin slices that were raw when presented until staff gracefully poured the beef broth into the bowl and turned all that red meat into the tender protein that I enjoy. Green onions, small mint leaves and some cilantro finish the rest of the dish. Hoisin sauce and sriracha are provided on the side for this. Dishes here are promising overall and there's a ton of variety besides what we both got. A return trip here is in the works whenever I come back for something related to West Seattle!

Been living in west Seattle for 2 years now and have always been looking for a good Asian spot and today I finally got to try kinD! KinD is located on the junction and offers a unique twist on Asian food. We went on a weekday during their soft opening phase, so we got a free appetizer: fried dumplings to share which was so delicious! For our main dishes, we opted for a chicken and beef noodle soup since it was a chilly day. The beef noodle soup was a twist on traditional pho. The soup was very flavorful but I did miss the spices they use in a traditional pho. The meat was slightly overcooked probably from how hot the soup was but was overall enjoyable. The chicken noodle soup had round noodles kind of resembling udon and the broth was really light and comforting, kind of like a home cooked meal. The other menu items like the wagyu noodle soup and the curry rice looked good so I do want to give those a try next time as well. Overall, given that we went during their soft opening, the food was not bad! Shout out to Brandon, our server who was super attentive and gave us great recommendations as it was our first time visiting.

What an amazing gem in west Seattle! They have a variety of different soups and foods like banh mi or katsu. Super friendly service, their appetizers were all so good too! I highly recommend and would come back!

Great food and wonderful service from Yubee! Would recommend the noodle soup options and the tea is fun served in a traditional set.

With just the right amount of their house-seasoned soy sauce, it was perfection. The restaurant is small, and the dining room was completely full and buzzing with conversation. The AC was also extremely weak--to the point that it felt almost nonexistent. There were basically only two staff members serving the entire room, so while they weren't overly attentive, our water was refilled promptly and empty plates were cleared quickly. It was so loud that the waitress misheard our shrimp order, so we ended up waiting a little longer for the correct dish. However, it still arrived before the clay pot rice. We had already been warned that the clay pot rice takes more than 20 minutes to prepare, so it wasn't a problem. Overall, I really enjoyed dining here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for legitimate, fast-casual Cantonese food. Just look around the dining room--it was about 99% Chinese diners, so you know it's the real deal.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

I had ordered the regular spice, but for me, I would've chosen the spicer one as I like spice but wanted to be safe. There was lots of really good flavors. The overall space and bathroom was very clean and a great spot for lunch!

She said she didn't clear the previous customer order and needed to delete the order that was on there so I can start one for ourselves. We got the ordering figured out they started bringing out the food. They brought the appetizers then the fried rice. We were hungry so we started eating the fried rice it was 1/2 gone when the entrees come out. They bring the items out as they are finished making them one or two at a time. The parking lot is small enough for about eight cars but the businesses next to it had plenty of parking so we park there and walked to the restaurant inside. Overall I give them a 4.5 because the ordering process felt a little impersonable and confusing. We didn't know what to do.
