I ate here before reading the reviews on yelp. I got lucky. sometimes theses random strip mall joints can suck. But this place has very good falafel. The was moist inside and perfectly fried. They of course made to order. Very tasty. I'm giving four stars for the food. Personally I think it's a tad pricey for a strip mall joint but its good food so maybe they know they can charge a bit more then the other guy. Nice couple running the joint. Sweet smiles. read more

I ordered a plate of lula kebab for delivery and it was the worst food I've ever had. I do not recommend this place for their food. It's hard to imagine how someone can screw up simple rice and ground chicken plate, but the chicken lula was literally uneatable. I had to throw away the whole plate. I hate to write such a negative review because I know this is a small mom and pop place but... the food was waaaaaay overpriced and pretty bad. After reading all the "great reviews" of this place, I made the mistake of ordering by phone to pick up without actually going there and looking at the place before hand. The place looked like a "greasy spoon joint". Not that I'm against greasy spoons as some of the best places can be just that, but I would have rather gone someplace that looked more appealing. Let me get to the point of my review: I ordered 2 chicken shawarma plates, a side of hummus and a side of falafel. The falafels were probably some of the worst I've ever had. The humus was ok but nothing to write home about. I could've bought some at Ralphs that was just as good. But here's my main issue, the shawarma WAS NOT shawarma! It was badly overly seasoned chopped chicken pieces. SHAWARMA is not chopped meat chunks/pieces!!! I have no idea what I got but it wasn't shawarma! The plates were 17.99 and they came with average tasting rice, a tablespoon (literally) of runny humus and steak fries that look like they were re-fried from last weeks left overs. If this plate was 5.99 I still would've thought it was pretty bad but I would thought, what would I expect for $6!? But I spent close to $60 for all of this and it was just straight up bad overpriced food! Zankou chicken is 1000 times better and 70% less expensive! If you're thinking of some good Middle Eastern food, Mc Donald's would've been better. Seriously tho skip it. There are way too many great Middle Eastern places in the Valley. Very, very good food. I always order the pork kebab combo plate. Juicy, well seasoned pieces of pork. Buttery Basmati rice, and crispy french fries. One of the few places whose hummus I actually enjoy. The salad dressing they use is also very good. It appears to be oil-based. They used to give lavash with the plates, but now it's pita bread. I prefer the former. It's easier to use for wraps. Their garlic sauce is also on point. I'd say just as good as Zankou's. Their shawarmas and gyros are also very good. They make perfect lunch meals. The food is made to order, so it's always nice and hot, especially when ordered at the location. The place is small, and has about 4 tables. Also, good luck finding parking, I think I spent more time waiting for a parking space than the time it took to order and receive my meal. read more

This is the best kebab place I have ever been to! The food is perfection!!! The hummus is so delicious and creamy, the meat is so tender and spiced to perfection, the fries are crispy and the buttery rice is so good and yummy! I absolutely loooooove this place i'm so glad I got that flyer in the mail!, the combination plate is the best thing i've ever had! and I think its the only thing I've ordered haha. The couple that run the place are really nice, and the lady that works there is such a sweetheart, they do run the place themselves so they do take a little long to make the food so give them a 30 minute heads up and you'll be fine, unless you dont mind waiting, I wish they would stay open a little later they close at 8 and they are closed on sundays but they do run it themselves so they do need a day to rest I suppose. Also there's hardly ever any parking spaces open, and if there is its very annoying to get out so if you see a spot on the street its probably best to take that. read more

Their chicken kebab plate tastes like it was marinated with God's tears of joy and seasoned with the dehydrated souls of prophets. It's that good. They are extremely accommodating. In fact, I'm writing this review right after I had a conversation with them. It's been about 5 minutes since I've called for my delivery order and I forgot to ask for extra salad on one plate and extra hummus on another. Without making any excuse, the super nice woman told me that it's no problem. I apologized, and again she reassured me that it was totally fine. The delivery person is always very sweet and prompt. Ok.. so I didnt eat in this place but after my experience I know I will never be coming here again... I came here and while I was waiting for my hubby to come so we can both eat together I decided to go in there and order a falafel this way I can try there cuisine and there flavor in the meantime my hubby comes. So I walk in and ask the lady if she sales single falafels, she said yes and raised her eyebrow... so I say Great, can I have one please. She was like No, One Falafel No, that order is Too small and I waiste more electricity turning it on. I was like.. Ok then.. can I have 2? she said no minimum 5. I was like ok Lady never mind.. I walked out... So rude.. I was going to spend way more, when I go to a restaurant I can always order 1 taco, 1 falafel, one small side salad.. weather my order is to small or to big business owners need to realize that this $1 can make them unlimited amount of money for a long time... but obviously this lady does not care about making customers happy or comfortable.. The food is amazing! and I love Mediterranean food. We have only done delivery, so I have never had it fresh at the store and I can't imagine it would be any better. Chicken Kebab is soo juicy and has the best flavor. and I never order chicken! The rice is super yummy and you can taste the butter in it. Hummus is salty which I like, most serve it so bland. Falafel mix from a dry powder in a big plastic jar. I should've ran when I saw the dude form that powder crap into balls and throw them into the deep fryer. I didn't. Because a 4 out of 5 star rating. The food should be decent, right? Plus this. I already paid. Then the lady dumps some fries into the deep fryer from a big ass bag of frozen French Fries. This is my ten dollar falafel plate. 6 falafels made from a dry prepackaged mix. Some iceberg lettuce with cucumbers and tomatoes and a sorta sumac sprinkle with what tastes like bottled Italian dressing. White rice with butter. Hummus with too much cumin. One not fresh pita. Ordered Delivery. Salad w/Chicken - 4.5 stars! Salad was standard but the chicken was juicy, plentiful and delicious! Combo Plate comes with rice, hummus, salad & french fries! Fries are standard steak cut but its kinda a treat for all you carb/starch fans. It's like getting your cake and eating it too w/o the extra cost! ha. Hummus is a bit runny but has an OK flavor. I order from this restaurant now all the time I am hooked! I love the chicken kabob plate and those yummy french fries....just dont tell my trainer ;)...On saturdays i buy the guys food at work to be thankful for their hard work during the week and they all LOVED it i keep ordering, and my fiance that is armenian also is stoked about the food here. Not to say both people that work there are nice and courteous. What can I say that others haven't? I've been going here for a couple of years now and never get tired of the quality. They have some of the best chicken kabobs ever that are spiced ever so well atop a great bed of rice. Throw in a small salad, hummus and flat bread and you're good to go. I always try to save half for later but end up eating the entire thing. The service is among the friendliest and even if I'm gone for awhile, they always recognize me on the phone and greet me like a long lost friend. Couldn't ask for more. This is one of those places you'll pass by and not think twice of. Do so at your own peril as you'll be hard pressed to find better. read more
