So YUMMY!! I got the BBQ pork buns, and Hong Kong fried noodles. Everything was perfection, the meats were all cooked perfectly, noodles crispy and delicious and pork bun sauce is soooo good. And they were so kind and gracious! The woman there (owner maybe?) thought I had ordered there before and asked for order clarification to make sure it was perfect. Take out review- Food was sent through GrubHub, and arrived in 35 minutes as estimated. Egg rolls / Spring rolls were crispy, but filling tasted like a paste, which was not pleasant at all. Potstickers were not good, but the dipping sauce was oddly bland. Kung pow shrimp was fine, however the shrimp was absolutely disgusting, just mushy to the touch and tasting awful.... My girlfriend was just in the bathroom dry heaving from it, and had me move this from a 2star review down to a 1 star. Orange chicken and the friend rice were the only two dishes that we could eat. Overall I would not order this takeout again, I'm sitting here watching a movie still hungry, but unwilling to eat anything we ordered. read more

Very poor quality at extremely high prices. I will be amazed if they don't change and are still in business 3 months from now. I think they used pre frozen meats and vegetables which resulted in a flat to zero flavor with everything. No taste. To add insult to injury they cheated out on the cashews for the cashew chicken. We found 5! Total. Count'em! In the entire order. The pot stickers were flat and weren't even cooked through, probably due in part to being pre-frozen. Very small place with nice couple making solid Chinese-American style food. We ordered quite a bit for takeout for a family gathering and we enjoyed it. We had chicken with black bean sauce, chow fun with beef, sizzling rice and war won ton soups, honey walnut shrimp, pot stickers and rice. Since it was for the extended family we kept it pretty cliché. Overall the food was good. My only critique would be a lack of seasoning in the filling of the pot stickers and the broth for both soups. A bit of soy sauce helped a lot. read more

Since writing my review, I am very pleased to add that we have been consistently satisfied with the excellent food, prices, and customer service we've had with Kung Fu Kitchen! Since we live 5 minutes away from the restaurant, we enjoy ordering Chinese food from them every Sunday night (and often on Saturday nights as well). I happened to read a very recent review from a customer who writes that she got food poisoning after eating their Fried Pork Wontons. I was shocked to read that, because it is one of our favorite dishes that we always order as an appetizer or side! I love that food item, and we have never received anything other than fresh, great-tasting wontons. While feeling sad that this person became ill, it is hard for us to imagine that her illness was caused by eating this excellent dish - especially the way they make it compared to others I've eaten in the past. In any event, we wouldn't hesitate to order any item from the Kung Fu Kitchen menu. read more

I'm reviewing on ordering take out to be delivered to your home. Ordered around 6:40pm today, on a Sunday. The delivery showed as estimated arrival time 7:29pm, outside of the 35-45 minute window. It's now 7:46 and the updated time says 8:04pm. Only ordered 3 things that are not anything fancy. I live 10 minutes away from the restaurant. Haven't even tried the food yet but it's frustrating when the time is so off... takes over 1 hour to deliver the food? Please update the delivery time so expectations are correctly set. read more

OMG, I can't believe I ordered 4 dishes on Mother's Day and gotten 5 inside the bag - No wonder it cost me 73 dollars. The food is salty, and lots soy sauce and oyster sauce, it doesn't have the good natural favorite of Chinese food. The container is smaller so in reality you are getting smaller portion (take out only). The food is very oily and when I opened the box all the grease will spill all over the kitchen area just very messy. The food was done very sloppily way the meat is in chunks not very appetitive to us. I will not go to this place again. read more

While the food is good, and it's super convenient for us to pick up from here- lately this has been a nightmare when ordering ahead. The lady in the phone gives an estimated time for pick up, and it's always 30min plus more of what she originally said !!! Try explaining that to hungry children at home! Kung Fu Kitchen: 5+ stars Grubhub: 1 star (not sure if I can say this, but will go ahead anyway). I ordered through Yelp for delivery, but never got a confirmation email (ordered at 7:15 pm or so). I called the restaurant 15 mins after ordering and they said the order is done, and waiting for a driver. Called Grubhub, and they couldn't find the order, they suggested I call the restaurant to have them call GH to resolve the issue. Called KFK, and they said no problem, and they would call me back to let me know what was going on. Grubhub called and said they would deliver by 8:30 pm (1 hr after the order was already made and sitting around at the restaurant). So, I spent the next bit of time stewing in irritation about having half-warm (or cold) Chinese food 1 - 1.5 hours after it was made, and of course even more put off since I was rather hungry. At 8:45 pm, got a knock at the door, and got my food. Here is the best part...the food was PIPING hot!! KFK must have redone the order just prior to the driver leaving because it was awesome, and the veggies were nice and tender...not veggies that were sitting around for who knows how long under a heat lamp. Thanks Kung Fu Kitchen, you guys ROCK !!! We will definitely order again (though, with a different delivery service)! read more

This was a clean place with good food. Now really dirty with no seating inside. Boxes and food stored on tables. My kunpao chicken had large bell pepper and onions and pants just sprinkled on. There must be a change of cooks. The menu said soup with lunch, our soup never came. read more

This place is legit. Large portions, great food. It's not overly sweet or greasy. There's plenty of meat in each dish, they don't overly rely on fillers like too many carrots. We usually go to the Great Wall in Lafayette or Golden Palace in Moraga. This place gets higher marks. We've loved everything we've tried (eggplant chicken, lemon chicken, beef chow fun, Mongolian beef, crab rangoons, sesame chicken) EXCEPT the wings. They were really fatty. Other than that I recommend everything we've tried, especially the twice cooked pork. It has huge chunks of pork and fresh cabbage. You can order 3 dishes for 4 people and you'll have leftovers, so the cost savings is great considering how much food it nowadays. Highly recommend. read more

There are better Chinese food places in area, sure, but this restaurant is fast and affordable, and they make good classic Chinese American dishes such as general's chicken, salt & pepper spareribs, green beans... the steamed pork buns, which are new to the menu, are pretty decent for takeout. read more

This is our "go to" place for Chinese food. We typically go for the lunch special at least once a month. I love eggplant dishes and they have at least 2 or 3 on the lunch menu along with great vegan Chicken dishes. I love ice tea and they makE their own ice tea daily. Made perfectly. The egplant pork with spicy galic sauce has NO pork at all in it. None. The egg rolls are like frozen and almost empty inside. A fried mushy order of tough fatty pork is what passes for peking ribs. I would give 0 stars but no option for that! read more

We went here about a week ago on the advice of friends. It turned out to be every bit as good as they said it was. The place is very small, though, smaller than I expected it would be; not more than five or six tables. I suspect they do more of their business in take-out than dining in. Whatever, the staff people were pleasant and friendly, and the food was probably the best Chinese we've eaten in years. Everything we ordered was fresh, moist, tender, and delicious, from the beef to the chicken to the shrimp. Vegetables, too, were crisp and fresh. The fried noodles and meat dish my wife ordered came right from the grill in the same casserole bowl it was cooked in. Prices are low to reasonable, about what you'd pay at most Chinese restaurants in the county. Service, as I said, is excellent. The decor is clean and inviting. Highly recommended. read more

I door dashed this place because I wanted to try the meatless orange chicken and it was really good! For a bit I thought they had given me actual chicken but they didn't.
