Our order was Vegetable spring rolls Stir fried broccoli Beef with green pepper Kung Pow chicken Egg fried rice Chicken chow mein Have to say, that for the price which was over $70 I was expecting more. Most of the dishes were a pretty bland. The exceptions being the chow mein and the spring rolls. Unfortunately will probably give this a miss next time and use Peony Garden again read more

Let's just start off with saying it was Friday the 13th in the year of 2020... everything was going well until evening time came around, my boyfriend and I thought we had dodged the bad luck of the day and year. Alas, we ordered via DoorDash and when my boyfriend came out to the lobby to pick up the food, the driver had spilled our food ALLLL OVER THE FLOOR. She had the audacity to blame Kung Fu Kitchen for not sealing the food packages correctly. We don't believe that one bit. From experience, Kung fu kitchen has always been thorough, friendly, and even suggested added sauces or flavors to dishes you order. We got a refund from door door and a credit. And Kung Fu kitchen was SUPER kind enough to deliver another order of our food ASAP. They saved me from being devoured by my hungry, zombie boyfriend. Thank you Kung Fu kitchen! Encouraged by the good reviews, we dropped by for a quick lunch today and were not disappointed. The restaurant is small, but nice and clean, and the owners are very friendly. Our order was a combination of meat, seafood and noodles, and was on the table less than 10 minutes after we had ordered. The food was fresh and tasty, and we cleaned out both the Singapore Rice Noodles and Shrimp with Black Bean Paste. The only dish that didn't quite meet our expectations was the Sichuan Pork which was too mild for our palate. Hence the 4 star rating. Wow!!! Our family of five has been traveling for a week in California from Dallas and decided to come here instead of the infamous China town. We were impressed by its 4.9 rating and made the wonderful decision to try it out. I personally had the bbq pork chow mein, and absolutely loved it. My family got fried rice and were so impressed we had to stop by for some more the next day. The service was timely and they were very friendly and accommodating. Favorite Chinese food takeout around. I highly recommend the broccoli beef, honey walnut prawns and hot & sour soup. Everything I've tried has been fresh, hot and delicious. Have not dined in, restaurant is small but cozy. My order is always ready when I get there. I have also used Grubhub to deliver. The Salt and pepper pork was more like salt and pepper deep-fried fat. Also, the sesame seed chicken was nothing but dough with sesame seed oil on it and if you were lucky you found a piece of chicken inside. read more

Best Chinese food I've had in a long time! We loved everything we ordered. Their shrimp dishes came with lots of shrimp. The Mu Shu vegetable and walnut prawns were delicious. The prices are also reasonable. I will definitely be ordering from here again during the shut down! read more

Just got violent food poisoning after ordering delivery from this place for the first time. It was the only thing I ate today and we have deduced it was the pork wontons. Filling tasted a little off when I ate it but now I know it was spoiled meat. I will never order from here again. read more

First time for take out and it was just okay, nothing special. The Sizzling Rice Soup with Seafood was disappointing. For $10 it had (3) medium sized shrimp with (3) 3/4" pieces of imitation crap meat. Taste was okay. The Cashew Chicken and Broccoli Beef was mediocre. Salt and Pepper Pork chops were disappointing. The pieces of pork were very small in comparison to other restaurants, usually big, flat pieces of pork you can sink your teeth into. The batter on the Honey Walnut Shrimp was thick and gooey. Out of all the dishes, the best one we had was the Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables. There was plenty of shrimp and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Overall the portions were small and the food was average. We won't be going back. read more

We were not happy with the quality of the food. We ordered take out. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour. Just broth soy sauce and corn starch with the usual vegetables. It basically tasted like thickened chicken stock with soy sauce. The fried chicken wings had a detectable amount of Szechuan pepper corn which was nice. The problem with this dish was they cut through the wing shattering the bones on each one. When you bite into it, you get bone shards which is a serious hazard if you have kids. The other food was largely flavorless seasoned with what appeared to be only soy sauce. read more

Been going to this cute little place as soon as they opened. Food was always great , but last few times we have been there the food is not the same . Do not know if a new owner or different chef. Got take out to night and will probably not be coming back. When you call in a order and they tell you it will be ready in 5 minutes you know it's not made to order. Well, let me start by saying I really don't like Chinese food. The rest of my family does, but I usually find it salty and greasy and don't feel too well after eating it. KFK recently took over from another restaurant here, so as it's our normal spot we got take out. Not especially adventurous order as it was really meant just for my kids: chicken chow mein, pork fried rice and hot and sour soup. Soup is usually the one thing I'll eat if it's Chinese. Wow, this soup was delicious! The perfect amount of heat, the tofu was soft and fresh, the julienned carrots were crispy, and the broth was not gelatinous at all and had great flavor! I ate it all. Since it was so good and my kids were happily chowing down, I tried the chow mein. It was very good! The chicken was fresh and tasty and they used good little cuts of meat; the noodles were pillowy and light and it didn't even need soy sauce, or very, very little, because the recipe was perfectly flavorful. I then tried the rice out of curiosity and it was good, the pork bits were tender, not fatty and tasted almost like really yummy cured ham and it was not dyed red, the peas were fresh and again this dish did not even need soy sauce. It's clear they have good recipes and use great ingredients. Try it! read more

Almost afraid to let people know just outstanding the food is from this restaurant. I live close by, and I can't believe this place is so near me. I and my friends have tried several different dishes since they opened, and each was fantastic. This place is just so so. The previous restaurant was much better. Ordered the vegetable fried rice. The rice was dry and had hardly any egg in it and the peas were little dry mush bombs. I think they put in the frozen mixed vegetables that come in the bag from the frozen section of the supermarket. Ordered the string bean chicken and the beans were over cooked. The chicken was moist but covered in a brown, corn starchy sauce. Also ordered the cashew chicken which was disappointing. It had very large vegetable chunks, more of the brown sauce and the cashews were soft, they were raw and should be toasted. I'll be going to the Green Garden in PH from now on. read more

New management - great food and service. Don't know what the 'old' management did, but this is excellent. Small place with little seating, it does a large take out and delivery business. Inside eating is just fine too! The basil spicy garlic eggplant was excellent. Food is steaming hot, service is friendly and informed, and we had a great lunch. read more

I haven't been able to find a consistently good Chinese restaurant in the many years I have lived in East Bay, but I'd never tried this place so decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, it was really bad. I should have known when I got my to go order in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the spicy green beans, sweet and sour chicken, egg flower soup, and egg rolls. My order was missing the green beans. There was no receipt in my bag so I'm not sure if I was even charged, although my total was around $27.50. I didn't call and check because I was already really put off by the food. As someone else mentioned, the egg rolls are like paste inside. They had definitely been sitting around for a while. Disgusting. The soup was SO bland, it was like drinking thick, warm water with some doggy veggies in it. I added salt and pepper and it was still gross. The breading on the chicken was very thick and the sauce nauseatingly sweet. Like, there was no sour in the sweet and sour. It was sugar chicken. I am so annoyed that restaurants continue to serve subpar, old food like this. It seems to be a growing trend in this area. Do not come here, all you will get is a fork full of disappointment and a garbage can full of nasty Chinese food. read more

The food was really good. However everything we ordered was incorrect. We ordered honey glazed walnut chicken and received prawns. And two other dishes had prawns in them that were supposed to be just chicken......I was very specific. I know the girl ordering understood. I think the miscommunication was between her and the chef. But, either way it was really good. My kids however were not very happy. read more

This place used to be Green Dragon or some such name. The old owners sold out I guess, these new folks have it dialed as Kung Fu Kitchen. Loved the honey walnut prawns, great chow mein, good Mongolian beef, potstickers were killer. Very reasonable prices, easy in and out parking. Our new go-to Chinese food stop. read more
