When I'm in Westminster, a Vietnamese cafe is always a must for me! The space was so beautiful and modern. We got 2 coffees and 2 matcha's to try out - the egg coffee & sea salt foam coffee, and the pandan matcha and ube matcha. All drinks were so yummy!! I loved how customizable everything was - for the Vietnamese coffees, we were asked if we wanted it strong, medium or light (the amount of milk is adjusted,) and for the matchas you could adjust sweetness. AKA, you can order your drinks exactly how you enjoy them, no problem! Their menu is extensive with different drinks, desserts, and food options. Will definitely be back!

I came here for their bogo Pandan matcha wasn't expecting much and as expected the drinks were really whatever, wouldn't say it was horrible but it was weird like I didn't taste Pandan but more mung bean? And couldn't taste matcha so not the best quality matcha. Service was decent tho and you can sit inside. Horrible parking since it's inside a busy plaza. I asked for no ice for the second drink and somehow the drink was really thick like a pudding paste consistency so I think it was more mung bean than Pandan. Weird to me

Came back to visit today due to their BOGO Thai Dessert promotion, only good from 6/19 to 6/21. I came around 10:30am and only one person in line. Order for to go was quick and they packed up nicely with ice separately. I love their Thai dessert as not too sweet and very refreshing.

The Female Staff Member up front is ALWAYS nice. Very helpful, attentive, and welcoming. Very spacious, great deals, food amazing. Love coming here!!!

Had a blueberry matcha here earlier. It was good. Service was good. They have nice lighting in here for pics. Cute little cafe.

Really good experience at LaKaViet. I ordered the sizzling Bo ne plate and it came out hot, flavorful, and nicely presented. The steak was cooked medium rare with a good char, the egg was rich, and the sausage and meatball made the plate feel very filling. The sauce/gravy had a nice savory flavor and went well with the fresh baguette. I also got the match einsplanner drink, and it was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. Overall, the food tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and it's a solid spot for Vietnamese-style breakfast/brunch. Would come back again.

I actually don't want to write this review, but have to now because it's the right thing to do! If you're looking for how ca phe sua da used to taste in the 80's, order A3, house, special, Vietnamese, white coffee at 25% or 50% sweetness. The service is always attentive. The ambience is great inside. Parking can be a challenge and panhandling is around.

    Banana Pudding Matcha, no ice.

Went for the banana pudding matcha bogo since I tried it the last time they had bogo. I ordered no ice, so I could have it the next day for work, but it made me realize how overpriced it really is. A little over $8 I know many places measure out their portions but w banana pudding added it was barely anything. The matcha drink overall was underwhelming compared to their competitors

Went in for the BOGO blueberry matcha special and was not disappointed!! The cream top was fluffy with a strong blueberry flavor and the matcha, while a bit grassy, was pretty strong and not too sweet considering I didn't adjust anything from the original recipe and the cream top and blueberry puree already added to the overall sweetness of the drink. The blueberry puree on the bottom was also amazing and tasted like real fruit! The portion was huge as well. Good amount of indoor seating and the chairs are pretty comfy. Located in a mini mall with lots of easy parking as well.

I have seen this place pop up on my IG all the time and last week, there was a promotion of B1G1 free of their banana pudding matcha so I have to give it a try. The matcha taste decent, however, the banana flavor didn't go through. Because they used fresh banana so the matcha kind of overpowered it. We also order a matcha eispanner and it is pretty good. The location is in a busy plaza so parking can be a little challenging. The place has sitting down area and has free Wi-Fi, a good place for study. Overall I would comeback if I'm in the area or they have another promotion.

We came tonight for the avocado coconut pudding dessert that we saw on YouTube. We expected the crowd to be as crazy as they said on YouTube and Yelp but it wasn't too bad. We were lucky to find a parking spot right away in front of the store. Now onto the dessert. The avocado coconut pudding dessert was very good but there was very little of it in a big cup. Mostly milk and/or coconut milk liquid mixed with plenty of ice, which was filled to just a bit more than a half of a cup. Dessert and all the stuff inside the cup is 5/5. Nice treat after our dinner at ZZ Hotpot. Pandan and coffee flavored jello pudding was just okay. Not sure if I wanted to get these again. Will try the matcha next time since La Ka Viet got a lot of compliments on their matcha.

I've been craving Bo Ne and matcha and this is the spot! We tried 2 different types of matcha and coffee! We also got the Bo Ne. It wasn't bad but good enough. The baguette wasn't too dry either

La Ka Viet Coffee Café is a small, clean little spot tucked away in the back of an older two-story plaza -- definitely one of those hidden gems you have to know about to find. There's a dozen inside small tables and some wicker chairs outside. They've got a point-rewards of perks if you join their rewards program, and their menu is packed with unique drinks. They even offer ceremonial grade matcha and a wide range of matcha flavors (see picture). I'm a Ube (purple girl) so we tried the Ube Matcha -- it was so good and you can taste the quality of the matcha. The creamy, thickness of the Ube was perfect! I'm sure I'll be coming back for more. Quick Tip: there's a password for the bathroom, so don't forget to ask when you order -- so you don't have to stand inline again.

It was our first time eating here, and even though they were busy, the short wait was completely worth it. The service was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and efficient despite the morning rush. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. I ordered the fried egg breakfast sandwich, and it was an absolute hit. Perfectly cooked egg, flavorful ingredients, and paired with their seasoned house potatoes, it was everything you want in a hearty breakfast. Simple, satisfying, and done really well. My family loved their meals just as much, and everyone left full and happy. I also tried the French toast, which was equally delicious. Great food, great service and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end our Disneyland trip. Parking can be in the plaza they're located in or on the side streets of where you turned in. We came in on a Sunday morning and waited to be seated. I noticed a slow trickle of people coming in, eventually, filling every table. It was an easy, simple Sunday morning. The energy of the restaurant was very relaxed and not stressful at all. The tables and chairs are fairly old and well used. Our server had little to no words for us, which was fine. She gave us a kind look. We had ordered a breakfast burritos, eggs, bacon, coffees all around, and an omelette. The food came out a few minutes later. Very quick, but hot and crisp. I wasn't a fan of my latte and their house coffee was a bit watery. I did enjoy my breakfast burrito and bacon. My dad enjoyed his breakfast platter, too. My fiancé's omelette was okay and wasn't fantastic. We finished our meal rather quickly and left. It's nice to have a local breakfast restaurant that has been well loved by the neighboring residents. Definitely will be back again.

However, each subsequent time, the overall vibe of eating here has gotten worse, with my final visit being the last straw. I felt like their cleanliness and service deteriorated over time. This most recent visit (it was several few months ago now), my boyfriend and I were seated by the window. After we put in our orders, we saw this HUGE ASS COCKROACH crawling on the window and basically edging onto our table. We got an employee's attention and let them know about the cockroach, and the employee basically just grabbed a napkin and snatched it, and I got the vibe that he was used to it lmao. Then he walked away. Another server asked us if we wanted to move to a different table and obviously we did. I feel like at that point I should've walked out but we had already put our orders in and I didn't really want to make a scene. It was hard to finish our food tbh just because of what we'd seen. We also paid full price =_= I have never asked to be comped at a restaurant in my entire life, but I felt like they should have offered to cover our drinks or something because we both got coffee. Anyway, after that experience I basically never wanna come here again :/ which is sad because I think the menu is actually great

It wasn't that busy yet but after a few minutes, large group of people started showing up. We did have a reservation prior. The cafe is really nice, pretty big and spacious. My bf got the marble coffee, he said it was pretty good as well. Then we had calamari, spicy wontons and THE DAO. Calamari was plentiful in serving, comes with a sauce and I really liked their sauce, it has citrusy taste. The spicy wontons are a crowd favorite as well for me. It definitely puts it on the top spot of spicy wontons I've tried from other spots. THE DAO (yes, it needed the caps lock on the name), this is my top appetizer from this cafe. The first time I tried it, I was craving it for a while. Some people might say it's a simple appetizer, but for me it's the taste and flavor that put it on the top spot. For the main dish we had Xo Chien, it's a crispy rice with pork floss, egg, chinese sausage. It's a delightful dish, and the flavor and texture is pretty nice as well. My bf loves this dish. Back Again... and Somehow This Fusion Spot Still Hits!…read more Came here for breakfast with my girlfriend, and this is one of those spots I somehow end up visiting about once a year. Usually, when you revisit a restaurant after some time, you start noticing the quality slipping a little... but nope. This place has officially hit FOUR times in a row! Dry Bun Bo Hue -- $21 | 8.8/10 Although it says "dry," there's actually about 2 tablespoons of broth hiding at the bottom, and LET ME TELL YOU... that sauce is where the magic happens! It has this amazing sweet, spicy, slightly sour aroma that coats every noodle and pairs so well with the chopped beef. The noodles were cooked perfectly, too. I haven't had this since last June, so I was definitely a happy girl. Just squeeze a whole lemon over the top and BOOM--perfection! Squid & Mango Salad -- $16 | 8.5/10 So fresh and refreshing! The squid wasn't overly cooked or rubbery, and the mango had just the right amount of sweetness. Add in the peanuts, pickled veggies, herbs, and that sesame cracker for some crunch... and YES PLEASE! Such a fun combination of flavors and textures. Bun Ca -- $17 | 7/10 My girlfriend ordered this one, and I had to sneak a bite, of course. It's a fish noodle dish that was good, but I felt like it was missing that extra flavor element to really make it pop. Since this is a newer dish, I can definitely see them tweaking it and making it even better! Mango Sticky Rice -- $9 | 7.8/10 A little sweeter than my personal preference, but that purple sticky rice with the creamy sauce and fresh baby coconut?! DIVINE. The combination was seriously delicious--I just wish it had been slightly less sweet. And shoutout to Thomas, our waiter, who was so sweet and kind and took great care of us! What I love most is that I'm not even a huge fan of fusion food, yet somehow this place continues to impress me every single time I come back. Four visits later and they're still holding their own! Definitely one of my favorite spots, and if you're curious about their other concepts, definitely check out their other restaurants too! Beautiful ambiance and decor. Happy EATS!
