It was my favorite, not sure if it was the matcha they used or the milk but it didn't taste good for my liking. I came by for the BOGO Matcha Einspanner deal they had. I'll say it was a Saturday and it was busy! My drinks did take about 15 minutes to make, but I'll say its worth the wait. The quality of the matcha was good! They did a nice job packing it up to-go and in a cute reusable tote bag as well. I'm sharing this feedback because I noticed some inconsistencies that I think management and future customers should be aware of. I came in for the $10.95 combo (pork belly sandwich, Einspanner, and chips). I tried calling ahead to ask about substitutions, but no one answered. When I ordered in person, I asked to swap the pork belly for a different sandwich, but I was told no substitutions were allowed. However, the couple immediately behind me was permitted to swap their Einspanner for a Vietnamese coffee. I completely understand staying strict to a promotion's rules, but those rules should be applied equally to everyone. It felt unfair to be denied a swap (especially for a less expensive sandwich like chả trứng) while the next guest was granted one for their drink. A new coffee shop in Westminster! I recently came to this coffee shop with my mom during their soft opening and the staff was sweet and very helpful. They are just getting started so there is a steady flow of customers ordering both the kiosk and with the cashier! A little patience goes a long way!! I was satisfied with the experience. This is a new cafe that specializes in viet coffee and other sweet teas/matchas. I love the aesthetic it reminded of the cute cafes in Vietnam. There are plenty of seating options and free wifi to do work. Music was at a good volume so I def would come back to do work here. I tried the egg foam coffee and ube foam coffee. The coffee was good and stronger than I expected but the foam was lacking. I felt while the coffee was good the foam was plan and did not add much to the coffee. Gave them a few more tries and it's been pretty good! They got many matcha options and I enjoyed the mochi matcha the most. It's more of the unique drinks that you don't get elsewhere. They often have BOGO deals which are awesome and they rotate the matcha drinks on promo so you can try new ones. Their bò né is hands down one of the best ones I ever had. It's reasonably priced for what you get. Bó nè xúc xích (sizzling skillet with steak and sausage) was only $13 and had a good portion of tender beef steak, a whole jumbo sausage, an egg, tomato gravy, and a baguette. It was so delicious! They do close kitchen at 4pm for hot items so you can only get bánh mì after that I believe. They have new pumpkin matcha and ube matcha so try it out! Overall, the ambiance is welcoming and fresh, and the shop's cleanliness definitely contributes to this. 2. Food and Drinks I ordered an egg foam vietnamese coffee, as well as a meatball banh mi. The vietnamese coffee wasn't too sweet, which I appreciated a lot. The meatball banh mi was great, with the bread tasting fresh - or at the very least, well-stored. They have a variety of food and drink options that you can order at the self-serve kiosk right by the entrance. Personally speaking, I think their egg foam vietnamese coffee is better than ones I've tried at other shops so I definitely recommend trying it when you stop by! 3. Service The staff members were very friendly, and when I stopped by, it seemed like a couple of them were getting trained on how to make drinks/food. Despite this, however, the wait still wasn't too long and the staff members were still very nice and friendly to the customers. 4. Pricing The coffee here seems to be cheaper than the usual, with offerings being about $0.50 cheaper than the usual (for reference, the egg foam coffee I got was $6.00 flat while other places might offer it for $6.50 or even $6.75). I would say the pricing is very competitive, combined with the other 5. Restroom I didn't end up using the restroom during my visit. I do know, however, it's to the right of the store when you enter. 6. Parking La Ka Viet shares its parking lot with many of the other establishments found in this outdoor plaza. Parking gets pretty packed during the middle of the day, but does surprisingly die down towards the late afternoon on weekdays. 7. Study-Friendly Features This shop has all of the study-friendly features you need for a study/work sesh: it has plenty of outlets, plenty of seating, free reliable wifi, great drinks/snacks, and climate control. One thing that I will warn about, however, is that its front doors can prop itself open especially when customers come in, and this can result in the cold draft coming in. Hands down ruined matcha lattes for me. Why? Because they had by far the best matcha latte I have ever had! The color, the flavor, and they have oat milk and almond milk subs for us tummy sensitive folks! The store isn't too big, but enough tables and chairs for big parties. It's pretty clean and cute. You can order on the machine or someone is always at the register to help you.
