I won't ever go back here. And that's unfortunate since I live very close and want to love this place. And I have been here a number of times and thought the food was good. However, the service we had tonight was totally unacceptable. We were totally ripped off by our waitress who acted like she would be providing dessert for our kids and our friends' kids as a sort of fun "on the house" extra. But no, they brought out these ridiculous sundaes that we did not order and then charged us $9 a piece for the sundaes for the four kids. They also charged us $9 for a birthday dessert for my husband that we also did not order. So, an almost $50 extra charge on our bill. When I complained about it, they told me that they could reimburse me, but it would come out of our waitress's pay. Which obviously I won't want to do. So I'm left with that extra charge. Just all so so tacky. Ruined our night. And left us with a way too expensive bill for a subpar Mexican restaurant that only does well because we just don't have any other decent options nearby. First and last time eating here. My family and I stopped by around 1pm on Sunday. It was a bit busy so we waited 15 minutes for our table which wasn't an issue at all. We were seated and not given menus for 10 minutes. I went and grabbed one myself so when the waiter finally came 20 minutes later we were ready to order. We received our drinks and chips and salsa after already sitting at the table for almost 30 minutes. Our food took forever and we were not checked up on. By this time the restaurant had cleared out so there was no excuse. Any time we needed a refill or to go boxes I had to call over to the waiter who was busy standing at the cash register talking to the hostess. Those of us who has menudo enjoyed the flavor but the shrimp ceviche was over priced and had no flavor. The drinks were 90% ice and nothing in them. I had to get the hostess attention to bring me our check and when the waiter came over to give it back to me he didn't say anything. Food is good. Service is very hit or miss. Sometimes it's a great place to eat, but it's a bit of a gamble. We've had food that was served that was very burned, so much so that the waitress commented on it as serving it. Once remade it was great. Just today we spent 35 minutes from the time we finished eating till we left. We waited 20 minutes for the server to bring us the bill. Within 30 seconds my credit card was in it and ready. We spent another 15 waiting for him to take the card. In a rare situation I actually had enough cash we were able to leave. Now I would have preferred to have used the card as I only had enough for a 10% tip. Over time that 10% became more than sufficient. It's a real shame. I want to like this place. I want to give them my business. But they really need to hire consistent cooks and service minded waiters. And since this was late Sunday afternoon, it was not a case of being too busy. Please improve your service so I can give you the extra star your food deserves. read more

This is at the top of my Mexican food list on this side of town. Salsa was delicious, my wife said this is the closest to mine! The cops are fresh. Just went here for a happy hour. Several drinks (about 6) were listed on a "A frame Happy Hour" sign when you entered. At the bottom of the list it stated $5.00 (only price on the sign). We ordered the margaritas that were on the list. When the bill came they were $8.00 each, not 5.00. So I asked the waitress who was very nice and she checked with the manager who said it was a special tequila (it was the tequila that was on the sign and we specifically said we would the the margarita that was on the happy hour list) and the price was $8.00 each. So we paid the bill and went on our way. Here was an opportunity to keep a customer or lose a customer forever. I'm sure you can guess the outcome. Delicious! I'm playing around with the idea of becoming Vegeterian since my daughter's a great example of : healthy eating = healthy living. So we tried La Kebrada Restaurant. The Artichoke Enchiladas Verde which came with rice and beans were life changing!!! I wasn't sure what to expect but the dish was surprisingly delightful and mouthwatering. The Veggie Fajitas were excellent. You won't miss the meat. And the Veggie Burrito was equally as satisfying. Service was a little slow for only having four tables occupied, but the overall experience was very nice. The restaurant was clean, neat and decorated in deep tones. The music was appropriate to the style of the restaurant and the employees were excited to take our order and suggest items on the menu. Ray Sandoval was our waiter and he reminded me of my uncle. Some got their food very late and the same for the drinks. I had to remind or ask again for drinks or food. They got the orders wrong. I've read through the reviews and notice they are mixed and one mentioned they had to pay for chips and salsa, we have eaten at each of their three locations over the last several years and have NEVER been charged for chips and salsa. It sounds like they JUST opened so I'll overlook the fact that they have no alcohol yet and that they're service was a little slow. The food was fine, nothing impressive though (I had a burrito, my husband had a fajita plate that looked good- large portions for sure). The thing I can't ignore though was the lack of music and the loud obnoxious Christian TV station they had playing. Get ready...She hands me the remote control and says, Here, YOU do it. We left full but reluctant to return and wondering what possessed me to leave a tip. Fast forward to today. We ordered "to go" since La Kebrada needs time to step up the restaurant experience. Strike 2. A large chicken bone greeted me as I bit into a chicken burrito. Not happy. My wife went back to get a refund and showed the bone to the server. She argued the bone was flexible and edible as my wife looked at her in disbelief. My wife asked for a refund and the server proceeded to the kitchen and said a few choice words in Spanish not knowing my wife is fluent. I'm not asking for concessions from the owner, but when you invest here for the customer, the customer will invest in you. There's promise for a successful restaurant.
