there was no one in line so I got my food fast. The price is reasonable. What I recommend: the hot, steamed white rice, the grilled zucchini, the banana, garlic beef, PICAHANA, top sirloin. What I would NOT RECOMMEND are the cheese ball. They were all tough and not edible. I put three on my plate, I should've known better.

Had lunch at La Vaca Brazilian Grill in Century City with my son. We were craving something hearty, so I went with the Brazilian BBQ combo. The meats were solid tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Definitely hit the spot. My son enjoyed his plate too, especially the picanha. Only letdown was the cheese bread. It looked promising but was a bit dry and could've been softer and cheesier. Overall, good spot if you're in the mood for grilled meat. Fast, filling, and flavorful. I'd come back, maybe skip the pão de queijo next time.

Me likey La Vaca! While in the hunt for lunch with some coworkers, we figured the dining area at Century City Mall was our best bet. It's one of the nicest "food courts" I've ever been in so that's why I'm calling it a dining area. After taking a spin around the place I went all in in La Vaca and would take that bet again in a heartbeat! I've never seen a food stall for Brazilian and after scanning their hot and cold bar, knew that I would be happy with my decision. I got a colorful array of salad fixings and a few plantains from the hot bar. I made my way over to the churrasco area and got beef plus Brazilian sausage. The good? I joined the clean plate club here. EVERYTHING WAS DELECTABLE. The bad? Lunch was $27, oof. Should we ever move to CA I'm gonna have to find a seven figure job just so I can dine here every day if my life. Looking forward to my next work trip so I can get my per diem on again!

This looks better than it tastes. Horrible food

I had never tried La Vaca and I thought oh great a delicious Brazilian restaurant like Pampas. WRONG The food is ABSOLUTELY horrible. The meat tastes like cardboard and it's hard and flavorless. The cheese bread is hard as a rock. The service is horrible!!! The meat guy did a horrible job cutting the meat and threw the pieces on the plate with a nasty attitude. The cashier was also rude when I asked for utensils and just mumbled. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. It's disgusting expensive for the horrible food quality and service. Do not eat here. And if you think it's like Pampas please run away because it is NOTHING like Pampas. The food is soooo bad that the receipt states no returns or exchanges.

Picanha, chicken salad, pao de quejo, and green beans.

The servers were kind and attentive. They helped me pick out three best cuts for my liking since I'm not really a carnivore, but I needed protein. It was delicious and better than expected. Thank you!

Brazilian all variety. This is medium rare on the side medium April association

It was also annoying for the waitress (not the gal that served us btw - a host perhaps) to give the vibe like they were doing us a favor by applying the $50 Birthday promo that THEY send via email (note, I verbally this flagged when we arrived just in case - but they didn't initially have it on our bill). My head is thinking "calm down--we ate minimally and got drinks. Don't offer it if you're going to have an attitude about adjusting the bill". It was just weird. They also didn't offer any bday dessert treat but we weren't super pressed bc we were so full. The meat was a bit overdone and all kind of tasted the same this visit. Didn't get to try the lamb chops and a few other meats, but still has a nice variety. Salad bar is top notch and consistent, although wish their black beans were plain due to all the meat. Drinks were ok--heavy pours but lower quality wine. The $29 "Wine Experience" package was worth it for my husband who likes variety of wines with his dinner depending on what he's eating. I'm sure I'll come again but it's been bumped a few notches on my Go To list.

I would take the very first exit I saw and enjoy a nice meal. As fate would have it, that random exit led me to Café Brasil, a place that had been on my list for quite some time. After parking in what looked like a motel parking lot, I found the entrance to the restaurant. The decor was phenomenal, the vibes were beautiful, and from the moment I walked in, I felt at home. While asking a few questions and trying to decide what to order, I met Miss Fatima herself the legendary owner who has made Café Brasil a staple in Los Angeles for the last three decades. I ordered the feijoada and the pão de queijo. Fatima herself tried teaching me how to pronounce them, and somehow our conversation drifted to flight schools in the U.S. and Canada. I loved every bite of the food, but even more than that, I appreciated meeting someone who has dedicated herself to her craft and been consistent year after year.

The Feijoada was also great and definitely reminiscent of the last time I've had this dish. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here. This is a spot to get a couple of dishes to share. We walked around and looked at different restaurants. When we found Pampas we noticed that you grab a tray and walk around and self serve the different food items that were offered. When you get to the meat section you tell the person working behind the counter what you would like, they cut off the meat, put it on the plate and you move on. They weigh your plate and then you pay. For my meal I tried several different types of meat, a stew, mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, and rolls. It was a lot of food and very filling. The meat was definitely the best part of the meal. I chose to get two different types of beef, a serving of stew, and some chicken. Both the beef and the chicken were tender and full of flavor. The stew was delicious. I actually served it over my rice and mixed it together for added texture. The pasta and the rice were al dente and honestly I would have preferred them to be a little more tender than firm. The potatoes were good. They had a slightly salty flavor and were smooth. The rolls were good as they were small, with a semi crispy exterior and a soft interior. Overall Pampas Grill is located in a cool outdoor atmosphere. I'm not a big fan of overly salted foods, but the meat was so good that I didn't let the undissolved salt crystals ruin my experience. I will have to visit again to make sure it was just an off day. I can't remember which one it was but one of the meats I ordered was dry. Except for that one, everything else was amazing. My favorite is picanha/sirloin cap. For sides, I love the heart of palm salad. Beets were simple and fresh. The collard greens were solid as ever. And if you want something sweet, I recommend the plantains. Something new I noticed is they had Diet Dr. Pepper which honestly made my experience even better. What I enjoy about eating at this location is the upstairs seating right around the corner. There's just something oddly exciting about walking up the stairs with a big plate of food. The window seats are a nice place to sit for better ventilation since that area can get pretty warm. Definitely will be back!
