Solid LanZhou Noodles. Probably the best I've had in Los Angeles. Makes Northern Restaurant (Suo Feng Yuan) look like the minors. What I liked, soup base clear, had hints of Sand Ginger, Umami Bone Broth, hints of cinnamon, heavy parsley/ cilantro, fennel, star anise, black cardamom, white peppercorns, mmmm, I can taste the broth even now, 2 days after that meal, very distinct, and when paired with their in-house chilli oil, not the one on the table, the actual spicy one they exclusively keep inside the kitchen, you can taste the additional layers to the chilli oil and it just brings the entire LanZhou Noodles to a whole another level. The lamb Rou Jia Mou was really filling. I liked the quantity, not overtly big, not too greasy, and had just the right amount of protein to keep the dish an appetizer, as you await the main course. Pickedled Sweet Kimchi Cabbage was also very enjoyable, although I prefer the in house ones made at Yumi Time in City of Industry better crispiness to the bite in their version and more balanced taste. A solid four, because I'm biased. Having worked with two extremely talented masters in Phoenix Arizona, I've tasted what could be the best LanZhou Noodles and Best Xiao Long Bao any seasoned restaurant staff could ask for. My former colleague Hand Pulled Noodle Master chef Shuai used to head the reknown LanZhou Noodles place in Gaithersburg Maryland serving up all those Ambassadors, Lobbyists, DC Politicians, and when we were in Phoenix Arizona, along with Pastry / Flour Dim Sum Master Chef Sister Ying, we concocted probably the best Xiao Long Bao / Rou Jia Mou and LanZhou Hand Pulled Noodles to ever grace the lands of Arizona and in my opinion, was far superior than any other place in Los Angeles. But again that's just me. I'm biased and I've been blessed to sit down, and have worked with some of the best small kitchen crews and experience great staff meals. And this leads to me to my conclusion: Yes, I'm putting this restaurant officially on my #2 for Chinese Noodle Soups in LA. This place will from now on be in my casual rotation. A no frills, real, down to Earth Noodle Shop. Why I like it? Just the overall setting doesn't try too much. On the surface it looks really plain, boring, not much to expect. But once you try it, it just suddenly makes sense, this can be your go-to Pho shop but for LanZhou Noodles and certain types of Cumin Lamb Chow Mein. #1 Corner Beef Noodle House in El Monte #2 Lan Noodle in West Covina
I'm not too fond of noodles but was craving for soup and decided to try this place because of their favorable reviews. Customer service was friendly, fast and efficient. I ordered the braised beef (mild), portion was huge and the spicyness was just the right amount. I liked that you can choose the type of noodle and you can really tell it was made fresh. I would definitely go back to try the other items on their menu.
LAN Noodle has been on my radar for awhile but I've always been lazy to head towards West Covina to give them a try. That will now change because it was that good! I got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodle and in Medium Spicy. Everything was exactly to my tastes. Fantastic hand pulled noodles with great texture, delicious soup and their chili is actually spicy, numbing and very flavorful. They are heavy handed with the spice, I'd say their medium is a typical extra spicy. I typically order extra spicy elsewhere but was trying to cut down on the oil a bit so got medium here and was pleasantly surprised that the level of spice was just right for me. If you're not use to spice, definitely get mild or no spice. This is a dish I would get over and over again and never get tired of it!
Good price for combo. The appetizer was a bit disappointing. The noodles are good , they have different cuts of noodles. Service is what it is. They seem short staffed.
This LAN Noodle location can be found in the same plaza as Tokyo Central, specifically next door to Dunkin Donuts/ Baskin Robbins. I have been to this location before in the past and had ordered the braised beef noodle soup in the past and decided to make a to go order last Sunday night as a last minute birthday dinner for my mother (we had other plans initially but life emergencies called for other plans so I did my best to improvise so that we could still celebrate mom). I decided to get Lan Noodle because I like to hold to the birthday tradition to have noodles on one's birthday. And we were within a reasonable driving distance from where we were at the time so I had my husband make a phone order while I drove over. My husband ended up ordering the following over the phone for pick up: Braised Beef with Wide Flat Noodles, $15.99 prior to tax- My husband remembered that he liked the dish I had ordered previously and so he decided to get this. I appreciate that the noodles were packed separately so that they would not be soggy. My mom really enjoyed this dish and so did my husband. I didn't get a chance to get any since they two of them ate it all. Dan Dan Noodles with Wide Flat Noodles, $14.99 prior to tax- I asked my husband to ordered this dish because I like dan dan noodles. But I felt the sauce and flavors were a little too salty. I ended up mixing this with a little rice to help make it less salty. I liked the wide flat noodles (you can choose the thickness of noodles, such as round, knife cut, etc). Tomato Egg with Rice, $13.99 prior to tax- A favorite among all of us, my husband decided to get this dish. You can order this dish with noodle instead of you prefer but my husband thought it would be good to have variety and went with rice. The tomato eggs dish was good, had the savory and sweet flavors. ------------------------------- (Total= $49.35 after tax) Service was friendly when we came in. Our food was ready upon the time promised. My mom was happy with her early birthday dinner (which is most important). I would definitely come back and would consider dining in the next time with my little girl dog since there are 2 small tables outside.
Located at the same plaza as Tokyo Central and Fitness19. Parking is easy. Food: Ordered Signature LAN noodle. You can choose different spice level. They make the noodle there on the spot. I really enjoyed the thick noodle. Very fresh and chewy. The broth is not bad. The meat, good thing it is very thinly sliced otherwise it might be very dry. Service: Almost non existing. Had to get my own menu from the counter. Cleanliness: Their dining chairs could use some scrubbing as well as the bathroom. Bathroom: Needs some cleaning too
SOOOO GOOOOD Knives cut thick noodles with the pickled mustard green noodle soup I can come here weekly wow! The crushed cucumber and the pig ear appetizer has a good kick!!! The pear drink is also soooo good My friends got the original braised beef noodle soup and it was very delightful but I love the extra flavor the pickled greens add to the soup. Definitely will be back.
Hand-pulled noodles? Say no more... i ran faster than a chopstick chasing a dumpling downhill!! We hit up this spot, and let me tell you, the noodle show alone deserves a standing ovation!!! Right there, front and center, they pull those noods like pasta acrobats!! I dove mouth-first into the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (with the wide-flat noodles, because go big or go home). Meanwhile, my son got the Spicy Popcorn Chicken, which turned out to be more "mild pop" than "firecracker," but it was crispy and snackable... like medium-spicy nuggets that went to culinary school. The noodle soup had perfectly spiced broth, beef that actually had flavor, and a portion size that could easily feed a small village or one hangry adult (me)!!! Service: Very attentive, but shy. Restroom: Immaculate and fancy. We got in just before the crowd, so I felt like a foodie ninja... in and out before the chaos. Parking: Plenty of parking in the Tokyo Central lot, so no need to fight for a spot. Overll would definitely be back!! Oh yes!! I love my noodles like I love my comedy, hand-pulled and a little spicy!!!
Go to spot for hand pulled noodles! It really makes a difference. Note that wide noodles will be pretty filling but texture is quite nice. The dishes here are portioned well, good flavor, and consistent. I prefer this spot to Mian, for example. The dan dan noodles were good, wish there was more minced pork. I might try thinner noodles next time, just a personal preference. And the next day I ate it cold after mixing some water in to soften the noodles and I daresay it tasted even better cold! The lamb "burger" was tasty, though some pieces were a bit chewy and I had to remove a few chunks because of it. The spicy tofu app was fine, I'd probably try other apps next time. Plenty of parking, service was quick.
It felt good being back here. Haven't had this place in a few years and I realized that's not good and I need to try to do better because there was a lot of great dishes I had to get reacquainted with. Especially their soups. And the weather was calling for it too. I had the lamb soup + their pan fried dumplings. Once more once again it was all very enjoyable.
Got to-go food today from LAN Noodle. This place is located in the tokyo central plaza and next to baskin robin and dunkin donuts. Plenty of parking spots here. The inside of this place is not that big. Service is decent and does not take too long yo get my food. Ordered the Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, comes with sliced beef, small beef chunks, clear beef bone broth, daikon, cilantro, garlic greens, and the wide flat hand pulled noodles. You can pick your own spice level for the noodle. i ordered mild spice and it was kind of spicy for a mild level comparing to other places out there. I also ordered the spicy fried tofu as a side order. The spicy fried tofu is not that spicy as I am someone that can't handle that much spice. Both dishes are decent. For the Lan noodles, the wide flat noodles are huge so if you are someone that enjoys thin noodles, make sure to change your noodle option. They have 8 different kind of noodles but their signature one is the wide flat one. Overall, I would give a 3.5-4 star rating and I round it up to a 4 star based on we need to support small businesses especially if there is nothing bad I can complain about them. Do they have the best food? Not but decent enough for me to order from them next time if I'm craving for noodles.
If you enjoy having Noodle St, you may find yourself enjoying the various types of fresh noodles they have here as well! I ordered the spicy beef with wide noodles and was very happy with the noodle consistency that they freshly made. Food was 8.5/10. The service was okay since it felt like we had to ask for everything even though there were only two other parties. But overall, it was a good try. Be aware that the parking lot can get really busy since there is a market across the plaza.
My partner, his 2 kids, and I came for the first time today! The restaurant was empty but it immediately felt like one of those places you could tell is a gem. We were told to sit anywhere, and while we were looking at the menu for a little bit, Jia the woman taking care of us, came over and asked if it was our first time here. We of course said yes, and she told us we can go on yelp, look at the pictures and ask her about said dishes if we were curious. That was SUPER helpful because that's what my partner was going to do. Jia was super sweet and patient. When we were ready, my partner ordered the Braised Beef (medium spicy) with wide flat noodles, K ordered Braided Beef (mild) with wide flat, J ordered Lan Noodles with wide thine, and I ordered Dan Dan Noodles with wide flat & an order of veggie spring rolls. Oh my partner ordered the smashed cucumber salad for the table too! Everything came out really quickly. The noodles are made in house, they taste fresh and they're delicious! (I don't even like noodles like that) Everyone really liked their dishes! K said his dish was a little spicier than he thought it would be, mind you he is 13 though. The kids kept passing their beef and pork back and forth to each other because it was so good. My partner liked his dish but I tried it and I hoped for a little more flavor, especially in the beef. It wasn't spicy to me at all, but I only tried a spoonful. I have a feeling the spice gets heavier as you keep eating it. As my partner continued eating, he confirmed that it just kept getting better. The Dan Dan Noodles were good and flavorful, I just wish there was more sauce! The cucumber salad was fresh and you could taste what they used in it. The spring rolls were good, very basic but that's what I love about spring rolls. I would absolutely come back here, the wonderful and quick service is such a bonus. Thank you Jia!!! edit: I forgot to mention we got the Braided Pear Drink. IT WAS FIRE !!!!

As a local of the neighborhood having seen the exciting success of TYF Dumpling House, I was definitely looking forward to trying Lan Noodle! As a newcomer to authentic Chinese food and noodles, the decor is minimalistic, the menu is inviting, the food delicious, and the staff gracious. While I did take one star off, as it's clear they are still working out the kinks in ordering and online/take out system; I look forward to returning and trying new items. read more
Wow, so far off from what I expected. As soon as I walked in, no one said anything. They just sat us down, gave us the menu and walked away. Everyone who's working here looks like a robot. They don't talk to their customers, not even letting us know what's the dishes that they served on our table. They just put down our food and walked away. The food came not as hot and when I let our server know, he didn't even apologize, just said OH. Omg. Is this a joke??? Our so called cold appetizer and hot appetizer, which are the cold cucumber and spicy tofu came out last, at the end of our meals and the tofu was cold as well. The honey walnut shrimp is so gross! Didn't even taste like honey walnut shrimp, I can only taste that it's super sweet. Definitely my first and last time here. Not again! Whenever we are in the mood for a good home made noodles, this is our spot. Right when you walk in, you see the cook hand pulling, cutting, and shaping your noodles. The texture and consistency is great. Their broth is flavorful and spiciness can be adjusted to your liking. Decided to try this spot for Saturday lunch with the fam. Service was great, parking was easy, and the food was pretty good! Orders: Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodle: I loved this dish, and think it was the best of the lot. The broth had great flavor, the meat was tender, and the noodles were perfectly chewy. I really liked how all the textures complimented each other. Definitely sticking with the soup orders if I come back here and want something guaranteed to satisfy. Vegetable Chow Mien with Wide Flat Noodle: My parents ordered this and they thought it was pretty standard. Not the best they ever had, but a good meal for the moment. Sides: Shredded Potato: This was nice and crisp and had a vinegary taste to it. Pigs Ear: A slightly thicker cut than what I prefer, but the chili oil in it was great! I love hand pulled noodles and Lanzhou style here at LAN noodles doesn't disappoint! You can customize the noodles to be flat, round, or triangle cut in thin or thick variations. They got combos for the LAN Signature soup and the Braised Beef soup, both of which can have their spiciness customized. I like both and really just get what's according to your mood. Personally, I get the Braised Beef light and spice-less, while I get the Signature spicy and heavy. My go to is the L1 N5. The triangle cut is not as thick as I would like, so I'll stick with their amazing Wide Flat read more
Always nonstop customers coming in and out, and I understood the hype! Reasonable prices for a good hearty meal. Even in the 100° summertime weather, people are still ordering and eating the hot beef noodle soup. Not out of this world amazing, but great place for food and has AC! read more

So many different noodle options! Couldn't decide between getting a soup noodle or dry noodle, so we ordered one of each type, but then it was hard deciding the noodle shape lol. We ended up trying the Braised Beef Noodle/Spicy Beef Noodle with Thin Wide Noodle (L2/N6) and the Big Plate Chicken Special. - Braised Beef Noodle/Spicy Beef Noodle with Thin Wide Noodle (L2/N6) was a bit oily and not the most rich in flavor, but it was still good overall. The server mentioned that the Wide Flat Noodle (N5) is usually the most popular, but she personally likes the Thin Wide Noodle (N6). We went with her judgment and ordered it with the Thin Wide Noodle, and we liked it. My friend ordered it with the Wide Flat Noodle, and she felt like she would've liked it better with a smaller noodle. Depending on your noodle preference, between these two types, the Wide Flat Noodle has more of a chew to it, but the Thin Wide Noodle still has a good bite and seems more fitting to have in a broth. - Big Plate Chicken Special was my favorite. The flavor of the sauce was delicious with the noodle, and the chicken was juicy and tender. It was very filling, and the Wide Flat Noodles that it comes with by default were fitting for it. It seems like the thicker noodles are best in a dry noodle dish rather than in soup. Great place to try overall! read more

I had stalked this place online after someone mentioned it in the local community buzz pages on WC and when I went to Tokyo Central today, I excitedly remembered that it existed! This was my first visit to LAN and I love their noods! It was fun to watch the chef pull the noodles by hand (I resisted all urges to creep up to the glass and stare in awe) and to have said noodles in my soup a few moments later. The broths are perfectly seasoned (I had the braised beef noodle and bf had the lamb noodle soup), not salty and very flavorful. The food was not greasy which is always a plus, and the noodles had a perfect springy chew to them. The braised beef was cooked perfectly to melt in our mouth yet still retained its rich flavor and texture. We are in love and definitely will be back. The server was nice and friendly and patient with our questions (especially for our first visit). Yum. Worth the price! read more

This restaurant is located in South Hills Plaza. The interior looks simple and clean. We ordered the following: * Signature LAN Noodles with wide flat noodles and another one with thick noodles. We preferred non-spicy broth. There were sliced daikon pieces and cilantro on both. It had generous serving of beef and noodles. The noodles were just the right flavor, not too salty as well. * Iced Black Tea - We really like the iced black tea here! It was lightly sweetened and had some lemon in it. Customer service was ok. It look a little bit of time for our server to get me my iced black tea. But our overall experience was good. read more
This location is in the corner next to the Dunkin Donuts of the plaza. I went on a Friday around 1pm and it was still packed. They had a lot of online take out orders so be sure to order ahead of coming. MY friend and I thought we could eat there but it was so hot because they keep their doors open (most likely to aerate the restaurant due to COVID). We ordered take out and walked around the Tokyo Central nearby. Our food wasn't ready for another 45 minutes but by the time I got home, I didn't think it compromised the food too much. I got the spicy braised beef noodle soup with wide thin noodles. The noodles were great, chewy and springy and it seemed as if the noodle was a few foot long. The soup was clean tasting and there was plenty of meat. I think this place would hit the spot on a cold winter day. You will get full so the price tag is fair. Next time, I would eat in to have the full experience of the hot piping bowl of hot noodles. read more
I didn't realize LAN Noodle is in the same plaza as Tokyo Central, so that certainly will make it convenient for me to pick up some food from LAN Noodles after some Tokyo Central shopping on future trips. I was here for a Yelp Elite Week event, so I tried their chicken gizzards and beef chow mein with wide, flat noodles. My review at the Elite event Yelp page has comments on those items. BF came with me and wanted something of his own. He was craving some good popcorn chicken after a really really bad one elsewhere, so after checking the entire menu, he ordered popcorn chicken here to try. The verdict from both of us is that LAN Noodle has delicious popcorn chicken, albeit a little pricey at $8.75! Note that this isn't a popcorn chicken rice plate, so it's just chicken only. Now that dining is opening up, I'm excited to try their noodle soups in person, as to-go for home isn't quite the same. Plenty of parking in the plaza. There was some parking repaving going on at the north side when we were there, so it did push people looking for parking to go all over. read more
I got the Signature LAN Noodles with wide flat and mild spice for a Mother's Day dinner. Their broth was flavorful and had the perfect amount of chili oil (for someone who can't take spice like me). I didn't like that my soup wasn't very hot though... It was somewhat lukewarm and wasn't steaming at all. They didn't give me any daikon either! The noodles were chewy and thick. Very good quality... but they were all stuck together! They had a lasagna texture to them since they were layered together. Maybe I'll try getting a different noodle shape in the future. The beef was DELICIOUS! Very tender and savory. We got a couple appetizers too, but I wasn't impressed. The Popcorn Chicken had a crispy batter and a slight vinegar taste. It also didn't come with any sauce. The Shrimp Bread did not look like the photo in the menu and seemed to be overcooked and slightly burnt. The ends of the bread curled up and it was REALLY oily. + The customer service was decent. Friendly, but the workers were all super busy with the abundance of to-go orders right before closing at 8:30 PM. + You can watch the noodle master inside making the noodles by hand! I took my kids for dinner here tonight after attending the Yelp event this week that LAN Noodle hosted. The demo looked so amazing that I had to try their noodles ASAP. We came at a great time. When we arrived there was only one table occupied outside. We sat at one of the tables inside and by the time we were halfway through our meal, there were a ton of people waiting outside - not sure for dine in or take out orders, but we were glad we didn't have to wait! And we picked the table that happened to be in front of the noodle maker so we were able to watch him pull the noodles - free entertainment for the kids! We ordered the braised beef noodle combo with thin round noodle (mild level spicy), spicy beef noodle combo with thick round noodle (medium spicy), the Chicken Golden fried rice, and the Big Plate Chicken. For the sides we got the smashed cucumber and pickled cabbage. Everything was so good! *The noodles were the perfect chewiness and the broth was tasty. Mild level spicy was still too spicy for my son, so if you're sensitive to spicy food, I'd recommend no chili and ask for chili on the side so you can just add your own to your personal preference. My kids said the beef was tender, and the tea egg tasted like a regular hard boiled egg - nothing special. *Chicken Golden fried rice - seasoned nicely and it really is a golden color! Not sure what seasoning they used to make it that color, but whatever they used it tastes good! *Big Plate Chicken - this is a HUGE plate of food - enough for 2 people. There's not a whole lot of noodle on this plate but there's a lot of chicken! It served in a flavorful brown sauce, with onions, potatoes, chili chunks, and a hint of curry. The chicken is really tender and flavorful. Service was friendly but spotty. They were really short staffed and the female employee there was super busy doing everything from taking orders, busing the tables, bringing out food, and packing take out orders. I hope they hire more employees to help because it's obvious this place is super popular and business isn't slowing down for them anytime soon! The original LAN Noodle in Arcadia has been on my list for beef noodle soup for quite a while, so when I saw that the new location for LAN Noodle was doing a Yelp Elite Event I knew I had to get on it. I'm going to proceed with writing two reviews, as I believe my experience would not have been any different had I come here to order straight up takeout. My order consisted of braised beef noodle with mild spice on the side, chicken gizzard appetizer, and a Sprite (why not?). As usual, I have to rate the beef noodle soup on three things: (1) broth, (2) noodles, and (3) beef. 1. Broth: The broth has some pretty good flavor, you can tell they definitely worked really hard on making a solid broth. But it's definitely not the best I've ever had. Something about the richness of the flavor doesn't quite stand out to me. 2. Noodles: Easily the best part of this bowl. I picked the thick round noodle, and there is big emphasis on THICK. Definitely the thickest noodles I have ever had in a bowl of beef noodle soup. They held the flavor very well. 3. Beef: If the noodles were the best part of this bowl of soup, then the beef was probably the disappointing part of it. Expected bigger chunks of beef, although I will say the the chunks that are in here are pretty flavorful. I just thought there would be more beef. Service is great, they already had my name with my pre-selected order ready to go. I imagine that if I had done a regular takeout order that it would have proceeded as similarly as my experience picking up this food was. Good to know LAN Noodle is close to where I live. Not the best I've had, but definitely a good beef noodle soup option. read more

I am so glad that Lan Noodle opens in the Tokyo central plaza in West Covina. I called first before drivingto the restaurant, when I arrived the Lan Noodle, they already packed everything and ready to go. It's really efficient. It's really fun to watch the chief making the noodles there, it's always like a show to me. My signature Lan wide flat noodles are really good and chewy. The beef is very tender. The soup base is very flavor but not salty. The smashed cucumber is tasty and matches well with the noodles. I browse through the menu and learned that they have so many different dishes that I like. I will definitely try more different noodles next time. read more
LAN noodle is a great spot to get soup! I got the spicy beef, medium spice, with wide cut noodles and thought it was delicious. Honestly, I didn't think it was spicy enough and might have been able to handle the spicy level, but I am pretty good with spice! We also ordered appetizers, and my favorites were the popcorn chicken and the garlic pork belly. I couldn't stop eating the pork belly! All of the workers were very nice and service was super quick! Definitely beyond a shadow of doubt that this is a great noodle place. The beef flat noodle reminds me of Xian Famous Noodles, which they have several branches in New York. At Xian they have a Lamb spicy flat noodle which is to die for. Cutting a long story short we now have a place in L.A. which has a similar Xian spicy taste. All the dishes were great, no dud dishes so far. The soup base here could be tastier but does the job non the less. I bought a to go flat noodle for later; it is better to eat it fresh, of course but the later noodle was still great. A definite go to place, for spicy fresh made noodles! read more

I went here a couple of weeks ago. It's a good noodle place with a lot of varieties. My favorite dish out of all was the sesame paste liang pi. That one is a heavy-hitter dish, and I'd probably come back again for it. Other dishes were good, but you'll get full fast unless you have a big group to share some of the portions. Overall, it's a good noodle spot if you're looking for a new lunch spot around that area. There's plenty of parking, and you can even see the cook making the noodles inside. read more

Soup was decently flavored! Medium is quite spicy, would prefer less chili oil. The noodles were so wide and chewy, very delicious for my taste. I was able to split this bowl into two servings due to the amount of noodles they give. Cucumbers are delicious! Definitely get these as your appetizer. read more
This place deserve a 9/10, but isn't quite at a 10/10 yet. I loved the authenticity of this place in term of their flavor and selections. As part of the Yelp Elite event, I ordered the spicy tofu for an appetizer and the braised beef noodle soup. As a Taiwanese-American, braised beef noodle soup is my go-to when evaluating a new Chinese place. And their braised beef noodle soup was honestly amazing. The broth was rich and flavorful, but not overwhelming in salt or oil. The noodle were top-notch. You can see them hand pulling noodles in the restaurant, and hand pulled noodles are my favorite, the chewiness is perfect, you can tell it's fresh, and for lack of better English, it was very "Q" in terms of my Chinglish lol. The beef itself melted in my mouth, was not too fatty, and was very generous on the portion of protein. Overall, I would say it's comparable to Din Tai Fung's, and for $13 I was ridiculously full. The only reason this place didn't get a 10/10 was because I thought the chili oil was just too oily. Of course, you can order it without any chili oil. And yes, chili oil is a staple of spice in Chinese cuisine. I just thought it was too much, and needing something to cut through the oil. Going off of the Yelp elite event selection, their menu is VERY expansive. They have milk tea boba, pig ears, chow mein, dry noodles, and so much more. This place (especially during COVID), would be great for take-out for a night of drinking and small appetizers. Lan Noodle is also great for any group of people who have different tastes. My boyfriend does not like noodle soups, so he was able to get a dry noodle, which also tasted authentic and yummy. The place inside was clean and spacious. They do enforce masks and social distancing. There were about 4 tables inside, with more outside so dining safely is not an issue. I recommend this place is you're shopping in the area, about to go into Tokyo Central (but the line is atrocious), or even for a quick healthy bite after working out at the gym (depending on what you get lol). read more

Came here for the soft opening before and reallllly enjoyed it! This time around it was good too, but I do believe it isn't as good as before, and the quality dropped. Reasons I believe this is: 1.) The meat portions have decreased from about 6 pieces, all around the bowl, down to three pieces. 2.) Noodle quality/freshness: first time tasted fresh, second time: stuck together on the bottom all together However, the soup itself was very savory! The server was also very nice :) read more

Pluses: Goji drink was friggin delicious Handmade chewy noodles - Get the wide flat noodle Braised beef soup was by far the best dish Level of spice, chefs kiss ! Was brought here by family for lunch. I'm not typically a sucker for Chinese noodles, but this place definitely held its weight. I got the veggie noodle soup, which had an extremely pleasant tasting light broth. It packed a little kick to it, but I'm not sure exactly what spice it was. I believe it had two types of mushroom, heaping bok choy and a lot of noodles. The portions were huugeee. Some of the noodles in my bowl that I ordered were a little soggy. However, this place makes their noodles by hand, there are bound to be inconsistencies in the length and thickness of the noodle. The flavor was still there, and I loved the shredded chicken cold noodle. I'd recommend the cold noodles over the hot, just because the noodles don't get as soggy and are super chewy and delicious to eat. You can ask for spicy chili oil on the side as well! read more
I was interested in trying out this new place because of their handmade flat noodles. We ordered several items: Braised Beef Noodle: Tasty, large portion, good chunks of tender beef, noodles were perfectly chewy. Spicy Beef Noodle: Large portion, a generous of amount of beef slices, noodles were perfectly chewy, and not too spicy (I requested mild). The soup broth for both wasn't overly salty as some places can be, but there was something missing in the flavor. Crushed Cucumbers: nice crunch and perfectly flavored. Fried Tofu: Soft batter not like your usual browned, crunchy batter. It was nice and light. Service was great and prices were reasonable. I would come back. read more

Lan noodle is just okay however I may be biased as Lanzhou style isn't exactly my favorite and half my family is from a region with much stronger flavors. There plenty of parking in the large lot it is in and typically no wait. The noodles traditionally are hand pulled but the night I went I really only saw one person kneading the dough and feeding it through an industrial pasta maker which conflicts with my memory of when I went when they first opened some time ago. I have no complaints about the noodles as they're decent regardless of which width and shape you choose. The service was really good and sharp and the inside was humble and solid to go if it's particularly with a duo, like yourself and a friend or yourself+1 family member. It is indeed authentic and well executed and if other people want to go here I would tag along. If you are looking for a "hong shao" or deeper braised beef stew noodle, I'd suggest going to a Taiwanese place. If you want something less hearty and light and easy, then I'd recommend here. read more
Was there on Friday (031723) and WILL ABSOLUTELY be back. The braised beef noodle soup was incredible. The perfect wide flat noodles and delicious broth were incredible together. I also added a side of the pickled mustard greens which pushed the flavors over the edge, in THE BEST way. Service was good. Walls were nearly bare but everything was clean.
