I visited this place for the first time today and had one of the best dining experiences of my life! Desai was the only person working and we were the only people in the store, and he made sure we had a good time! He was extremely friendly and offered samples of multiple meats, cheeses and desserts throughout the time we were there. He made sure we were so full that we got our moneys worth. I am from Eastman, Ga. and visited Savannah for the day. I really enjoy Cuban sandwiches but I like authentic Cuban sandwiches. As I entered Larry's Giant Subs I asked the manager, Desai, if he served authentic Cuban Subs. He went to the refrigerator and brought back Cuban bread with the palm leaf and I said, that's exactly what I have been looking for and Savannah is closer to home than Florida. This was an AWESOME sandwich that reminded me of trips to Florida in Ybor City as a child. Desai gives the best customer service ever!! I will definitely go back and recommend others to go. First I want to say, the customer service was excellent--very friendly and fast. This was my first time eating at this chain and I was not impressed. I was wanting a nice healthy sandwich and this tasted more like a sodium spike to me. I ordered the Bomber as it comes on the menu. The chicken was salty, the canned mushrooms were bland and the bread was plain white. The sautéed onions were good, though! For those who like this chain, I say to stop on in... I had an odd experience at this location.... I purchased a Groupon for this place and my hubby and son and I went. We really enjoyed our sandwiches and the gentleman who made them for us. He was friendly and thanked us for our business. The sandwiches are generous with the meats and cheeses and the vegetables and toppings were just as we ordered. We couldn't wait to come back. However, the second visit...our food was fine, but the staff was quite...offensive. They had Fox News blaring with Donald Trump on the television railing in his way. There were two ladies behind the counter who had helped us and they both had very thick accents -- possibly not native of this country. They were cheering on Trump as if they were at a political rally and then said how right he was about not letting immigrants into this country. I found this to be incredibly hypocritical considering they (or recent family members) were immigrants to this country. They were very vocal and boisterous out their support of Trump...and that's great for them...and they have that right...but in a public establishment when they're to be working? I have to listen to political rhetoric and offensive comments while I'm trying to eat? I'm not a prude and I believe in free speech, but I found their attitudes to be quite off-putting. They were more concerned about talking politics that attending to the orders and got things wrong on my sandwich. At that point, I just wanted out of there. For that reason...I choose not to return to this location...however, if there are other Larry's Sub locations, I might try them out if I'm nearby...just can it with the politics and serve me a nice sandwich. = ) read more

This place reminds my of my undergrad days--delicious hot subs with great toppings, including oils and sauces. Great pricing, great food. My only complaint about this location is that they didnt fill the bread from end to end with meat--my end of the sub only had a slice or two of deli meat, barely enough to taste. read more

The atmosphere was a little slow when I first arrived. Paresh greeted me with a huge smile and was eager to help me. I ordered Jake's Hoagie. I altered a few things and Paresh was very accommodating. The restaurant started picking up and the quality of service never changed. Paresh offered the same warm welcoming to everyone that walked through the door. The food was delivered to my table in a timely manner. The sub was absolutely delicious! It reminded me of the subs I used to get in northern Virginia. It was perfect. ok sure I ripped the Larry's on waters but this one is GREAT. seems the owner is working the line and is very interested in making a special veggie sandwich just for me. nails it. I've been back twice and both times he has been there and hasn't even asked what I want, he just goes to work and presents me with what he made right then.
