Came across this lovely gem in Studio City yesterday. Great beers on tap, along with a wonderful selection of spirits as well! I'm an Irish Whisky aficionado, and I was extremely pleased to see Red Breast available here! Anytime I can find a good pour, with a giant cube of ice; I'm extremely jovial to say the least. The pork belly skewers were some of the best starters I've had in quite awhile at a bar & grill, paired beautifully with my whiskey. The Grilled Artichoke was magnificent! Wow! What a beautiful bar. I Loved the ambiance in this place. Reminded me of a few spot back home in Florida. It was recommended by an older this morning while I was having breakfast across the street at Jumpin Java. She said they served really good food and drinks. So we decided to give ot try. The service was good place was pretty busy. The food menu had a little of of everything. I went with the laurel burger and added a slice of tomato. I just like my burgers with tomato in it. It was yummy. I also ordered the ceviche. If you know me, you know I am a ceviche enthusiast. I love it ! So I couldn't help my self to see what type of ceviche was happening over here on Ventura. I'm not big on corn in my ceviche but it definitely was fire. They have a great recipe. I'd definitely return for some more. The cocktails were made to perfection. This looks like a really cool place for happy hour which I plan on swinging by one of these days. Loved the tunes and great vibes at Laurels. This place is amazing! They changed their normal valet parking area into an outdoor patio equipped with picnic tables 6' spaced and lights for ambiance. DOG FRIENDLY PATIO so bring the fur babies for a nice Sunday cocktail and some eats. They even have dog bowls and treats for all the doggies. There is street parking at the meters if you are lucky, or Valet Parking is 1000' passed the restaurant after the sushi place next door. $6 cash $7 if you pay with a card, you pay when you pick up your car. You order inside at the bar and they bring food to your table and you walk back to your table with your drink in hand. They do have inside dining if that tickles your fancy, but the outdoor patio is where it's at! The ambiance is so cute! Feels very cozy. They allow max 6 people per picnic table, and are all 6' spaced. I felt comfy while eating here. They ask you be respectful and stay 90mins max but if there's not too many people waiting for a table they won't kick you out. We got here at noon (right at opening) to grab a few tables for a small gathering. Only a few people there buy by 1pm all the tables were spoken for! It fills up very quickly. Now on to the food & drinks...OMG! We started off with El Chapo...delecious Basil, jalapeno & cucumber with vodka. Favorite drink of the day. I will say $14/each is a tiny bit pricy for a cocktail but you're in studio city so expect these kinds of prices, let's be real. New Fashioned (their twist on an old fashioned) was delicious! Every ingredient they use in every drink is so fresh! Topped with a fresh sprig of rosemary it was so good. Even a non whiskey drinker at the table loved it. Garlic Parmesean fries were pretty much some of the best I've had. Fresh ingredients, crispy, so good! Get a few for the table so you can keep those delecious drinks coming! The club sandwich, a winner as well. Give you a huge portion to be able to share, and the avocado was ffresh, no brown mush here. All in all such a great Sunday Funday being outside under a tent with friends. Their out door patio and food and drinks is a great way to spend an afternoon. read more

It has a tasty menu, full bar and best yet, you can order directly at the bar and it all comes out immediately. It's so fun, I started a first Friday happy hour with friends and babies! Took off one star because there is no proper changing table! This place is packed with kids, please get a proper table (the rolling metal table is dangerous!). Several visits to Laurel Tavern have all been solid. Versatile indoor and outdoor spaces in a lovely location. Parking is valet. Prices are fairly expensive. Atmosphere and offerings have all been good, and having some options for different spaces to hang out and eat/drink makes it an attractive option. Great Covid Friendly spot for drinks and food. Came here on a Thursday after a hike with a few coworkers. We didn't have any reservations and they were able to accommodate 11 of us no problem. Large parties welcome (They allow 6 to a table) Indoor and outdoor seating available. The outdoor area is dog friendly with overhead coverage and heaters. This is a trendy spot but we came in hiking clothes and didn't feel out of place, feel free to dress cute or casual. We ordered drinks at the table and they came out in a timely manner. However, we did have to order food at the bar inside which was strange. Nevertheless, they had great food options! You can choose between having appetizers to share with the table like pretzels, cheese boards, fries or if you were really hungry they also had more hearty options like steak and fries or a delicious hickory burger. The service was good with very friendly, attentive, and speedy waitresses and waiters. The prices were average and what you would expect for a pub. I did take away half a star because they took our drink orders at the table but couldn't take our food orders. We had to go up to the bar inside and order which seems strange but overall, it was a very pleasant experience. This is a great last-minute spot and I highly recommend. I used to hit Laurel Tavern weekly, drawn by their excellent burgers. Haven't been in a few years because I moved way. But I returned and have gone there twice in the last two weeks. Just a different burger now. Just to be sure, I tried two different burgers each time, including the Laurel Burger, and the bun on both was thick and dry and crumbly. Overwhelmed the burger. After a couple bites it just crumbled apart and I had to finish the burger with a fork. Both times the patty was also undersized for the bun so was just a very bread-y experience. Really enjoy coming here after work and ordering the laurel tavern spritz. I like the atmosphere and overall layout of the tavern, also it's very clean. So my roommate and I decided to switch it up and order food along with our drinks. We ordered the chorizo sliders, hot pretzel, and fries. chorizo sliders: I wasn't impressed by the size or flavor of the sliders, in my opinion the chorizo tasted like a meat alternative so with that being said there wasn't much savory flavor I picked up on. As for the size, they were pretty small, reminded me of the candy patties (see photo). $13 seemed a lil overpriced for me. hot pretzel: this i did enjoy, not too firm and not too soft, perfectly salted, could taste the light butteriness. I was a huge fan, would recommend. fries: not horrible but not the best? also portion is very small, I was pretty surprised. I like them crispy and evenly salted so unfortunately I didn't love these fries. Just like the chorizo sliders, I do believe the fries are a tad bit overpriced for the portion you get. Okay this spot is my boyfriend's and my go-to spot when we want a nice atmosphere and delicious (seriously delicious) food. I discovered this place recently but he's been going there for years for the bar (lol). Their food is sooooo good, so tasty and flavorful and creative. I've gone 2x and both times sucked. I don't drink so this review is solely based on food. 1st time, I got the chopped salad. It was so bland I had to ask for extra dressing. It took the person serving us outside several reminders and about 30 minutes to give me the extra salad dressing. I must have blocked it from my memory, because I was reminded about that incident on our 2nd visit. Next visit, I make it in time for happy hour. I get the fried chicken sandwich, a fish taco and the cheese plate. The fried chicken sandwich was okay, I guess. But the chicken inside was definitely not big enough for the small Hawaiian bun and I literally had 3 small slices of pickled red onion. There was no punch to the red onion. The fish taco was super bland. The fish was flavorless. The whole taco itself was bland and not enjoyable at all. Didn't want to waste calories eating it. The meat and cheese plate was made then obviously left out. The cheese was dried out, there was a ton of lint on the cheese. The grapes were mashed. The cheeses were all subpar cheeses. Wow! Simply amazing... Food is super good. My last trip here was with a bunch of friends and we all shared many items and all of the food was great. I've been here before a few times with other friends etc. as well. The sliders and the hot pretzel are my favorite! Drinks are good. Parking can be a challenge so be patient. The venue is on the smaller side. The employees are all nice and the vibe inside is super chill and laid back. What I don't like is that you have to go to the bar to order your food and when it's busy the bartenders get overwhelmed and I've waited way too long to get my food. This is a big draw back for me but will continue to come back, just not always during crowded times of the day. Definitely give this place a shot for some good brew and some good food. read more

I really really enjoyed this gastropub' Parking: Most of the spots in studio city have valet parking, as does the laurel canyon. Parking during peak hours can be a bit much, but I was lucky to find parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Cocktails: This was obviously my favorite part! They have some really tasty and strong options for cocktails. I tried the spicy pineapple margarita and the el chapo. I missed the fact that pineapple margarita had mezcal and definitely was not in a Smokey drink mood. But the el chapo was . A very refreshing and yummy cocktail. Seats: They have a ton of tall bar tables, seats at the bar and full sized tables in the restaurant, as well as on the front patio are.
