Super nice staff! I had a few issues with my reservation and the hosts were so nice and accommodating via the phone and in person. Beautiful restaurant! We walked straight in. The service was also top their Tennessee was so great and attentive throughout our evening. Food was amazing and did not disappoint! They even gave a dessert for my sister as the bride! read more

Overpriced mediocre food. Wagyu ribeye was horrible for $95! The calamari was rubbery. The beef tartar tasted awful. They do not accept apple pay either in 2026! Id go elsewhere. read more

This is an all you can eat brunch with HUGE portions. When you order, they give you the regular size entrees. It's felt like a waste at times, but the food here is really good. Both the breakfast food and Italian food were solid. It was definitely a little more upscale. And our waitress was great and staff were wonderful. We ended up at a table close to the kitchen, and it was amazing to watch how organized the staff are. Food came out pretty quickly for how busy it was. read more

I loved the vibes of this place -- it's super pretty and has such a great atmosphere! We went on a Sunday night. We were disappointed to find the patio was closed. That was definitely a letdown as we were looking forward to dinner with a view. Side note: it is freezing inside so wear your parka! I had the chicken Parmesan, which was good but not amazing. Just a heads up -- it doesn't come with a side of pasta, and the chicken could've been crispier. On the other hand, the penne alla vodka was delicious and something I'd definitely recommend! The staff was very friendly, but service was slow overall. One odd moment: our server asked every other table if they were celebrating anything, but didn't ask us. We were actually there for a birthday and had to ask about the dessert ourselves. Even with those small issues, I'd still recommend this spot. read more

Came here for brunch and was disappointed. The food quality and options (some salad & pasta & pizzas) did not match the high prices $65 per person and they had already run out of oysters. To make things worse, there was a hair in the fruit plate, which was very unappetizing. Overall, the experience felt overpriced and not worth it. But our server was really friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. read more

The ambiance was very similar to any other Italian place; dim lights and some music playing in the background. The food lacked a bit of seasoning but otherwise it was a great meal. The service was phenomenal. We were celebrating a birthday and our server brought our a free dessert that wasn't on the menu. read more

Booked a trip to Vegas from San Diego for my birthday and planned for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Lavo. Food was excellent as always. We ordered the garlic bread with trio dips and Caesar salad to start and was plenty to share for the table. The chicken Parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs were also cooked to perfection. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and I loved the candle they brought out so I could make a birthday wish! We enjoyed our meal and had exceptional service from the Manager, Johnathan who checked in on our table several times and provided a great experience for us all. After waiting 30 minutes after being seated, no one acknowledged us, and no one bothered to bring water. Finally the table next to us advised their waiter that we have been sitting for a while with no water. Waiter came back with some water and than walked away and we continued to wait with no one coming to take our order and it wasn't busy. Finally walked out and went to Buddy's! read more

Foood was amazing! Quality Italian food here at Lavo. The only thing subpar was the service of the bus boys. They were rolling their eyes when we were trying to figure out who ordered what. Generally average experience. Our waiter and our service were very good. The kitchen forgot to bring out our appetizer, which was disappointing however they did offer to comp dessert for us which was nice. My wife's dish (chicken marsala) and our desserts were good however the carbonara I ordered wasn't really carbonara. It was a cream sauce that was very thin and not very flavorful. More like a thin Alfredo sauce than a carbonara. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good and it definitely didn't taste like carbonara. The atmosphere is very nice but the food wasn't worth it. read more

Lavo is definitely an elevated all you can you brunch with plenty of wallet friendly add ons to satisfy most. All items are sold full portion size which is a little wasteful in my opinion unless you're branching with a group to share. Salmon Ceviche didn't have much flavor and was my least favorite. Tuna Tartare was soo good and I highly recommend for my Pescatarian friendly babes Beat Goat Cheese salad had a tarte yet savory taste a that I enjoyed. She made our meal an enjoyable experience and left an amazing impression with some great suggestions. The ambiance is gorgeous and sets you off to the coast of Italy without even leaving the hotel. The food is good but could use some work. The garlic bread was room temp but still decent flavor; beet salad was amazing; NY strip was 11/10. The seafood diavolo was okay but I felt it lacked flavor. It was heavy on tomato and nothing else, the pasta was overcooked and the lobster was too small to be an additional $18. The service is horrible tonight; save your time and money. Came to celebrate a birthday, they had to apologize to our table after 30min saying they were backed up and got skipped by the other tables that came after us. Once we got our order the server didn't check with us and even when we told her we had a birthday it was completely dismissed. We were thought we'd have a high end service. Sad to say we did not. Came to the place because it was my friend's bachelorette weekend and this was highly recommended online for brunch places in LV. The ambience of the restaurant lives up to the Palazzo standards. It gives me a huge speakeasy vibe when folks are talking on the quieter side. Service seemed a bit lacking but not necessarily unprofessional. I appreciated our waitress for having patience with us, but the pacing of the food coming out as well as us waiting to get our check was a bit longer than normal. Now on to the real meat and potatoes, the foods: Appetizer pastries and fruits - simple staple to get you ready for the food you ordered. Since this was a buffet style I opted to not eat as much to save room Tuna tartare - in my opinion the best thing on the list of things we ordered. It did taste fresh, but I think that was in part to the black olive dressing which overpowered it? The yellowtail didn't have the freshness nor the fattiness I was expecting, almost like frozen fish. Black truffle pizza - it was essentially a mushroom pizza. I didn't taste much truffle in the truffle pecorino. I'm also not the best with mushrooms on pizza so my bias there Brunch pizza - at an Italian place I wouldn't go out of my way to get American style pizza, this was the same as a breakfast burrito in pizza form. The eggs didn't stand out, maybe lack of butter, the potatoes felt like filler and there was barely any bacon. Fettuccine Alfredo - though I heard online reviews remark about it. What stuck out was that the chicken felt very dry and the sauce wasn't what I expected. It was very dense despite the portions we got. Sweets - the finale of the course. I think the presentation could do better since we're given such a huge amount of melted milk chocolate for the number of pieces we could dip in. The everything besides the tiramisu felt very sweet. Overall thoughts: I think for the price of $55/ person for the buffet of carbs we got felt a bit overpriced. I would consider it again if it were $40 and it weren't that many carbs. read more

Service was not good. We got seated and the place was either under staffed or waiter was just not good. Drinks took for ever and if you were going to get a second you should have ordered when you got the first one. I ordered wine to have with my meal but it came after. So did the rest of the table. The waiter made an excuse of the bar. He had to many tables. If you under staff a high end place with a convention in town. You shouldn't charge those prices. Seems more like a place that nails tourist and convention people that don't know better. The food was ok. But I had heard good things about Lavo but there are much better places in town. Would not go back. It was very loud in there too. read more

Beautiful interior. Pinterest-pinning worthy furniture. But the food? Don't expect a lot. I wouldn't rave about the food. The aperol spritz - ooh, it was strong. Thanks! Located in the Palazzo, across the concierge, Lavo is for the girls who want to make a cute reel, because this place is CUTE, but not for the foodies who want to eat. So disappointed in the bolognese. It was pale. No flavor. Pasta was cooked well but the dish lacked a lot for me. The meat made it look like kibble. The short rib pasta may look like a traditional bolognese with meat and red sauce, but the pasta wasn't cooked all the way through and a little salty. Flavor was good, though! Steak was nothing amazing. Not super tender but wasn't dry or tough. It was ok. The free focaccia was dry and crunchy; I could have done without it. Not soft at allllll. Our server was the best. So friendly! I forgot her name but I'd love for her to be our server again if we come back...if. read more

Went for breakfast. They take reservations for their AYCE brunch. Super fun to know we could order nearly everything on the menu you as many times as we wanted. It's a great alternative to a serve yourself buffet. We ordered their tuna tartar, oysters, salmon ceviche, eggs benedict, breakfast flatbread, beet salad and probably more. We were stuffed to the gills because everything was really good. The dining area was large, they had a bar area and a waiting area where you go watch the pastries get platted. read more

Dinner for four @LAVO. So delicioso I forgot pics! My starter included the charred octopus paired with Sauvignon Blanc. My guests' enjoyed the jumbo shrimp cocktail, Classic Caesar, Chopped Louie and chose a Cabernet Sauvignon, California, 2018 for starters. Dinner orders included: Lasagna all'Emiliana, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Grilled Branzino, jumbo asparagus and garlic bread. Each of us enjoyed the atmosphere and our meals. Although, the highlight for me: The Grilled Branzino! Absolutely delish and perfectly prepared, the best I've had in Vegas, PERIOD! Make your reservation early if your looking for "dinner conversation". As the evening progresses you'll experience louder music and younger clientele. I have been here before last year but we ate out on the patio. We had a cramped 4 top table inside this time. My main issue is that we needed chicken/protein bc it was a birthday occasion and we were drinking cocktails etc. The waiter told me the chef will not allow you to add any protein to a pasta. I have never been to an establishment who said that in my life. Why not I am paying extra for it. I didnt want plain pasta I wanted pasta w chicken/truffle was the one I wanted to try. I settled on chicken parm but really wanted something new to try. Otherwise the food was fine nothing overly extraordinary in my opinion but probably bc I was out off by not being able to get what I really wanted to eat for dinner. The drinks were decent $22 each & the bill total wasnt bad for 4 people -$220 ish. Overall I'm not sure if we would go back simply bc of the no protein rule. I just dont eat plain pasta and I found that a bit odd honestly. Service was good I forgot our servers name (tall black gentleman). Overall it was a decent meal but I wasnt as happy w/the meal due to the chef's decision regarding adding any protein...it was a big hinderance in the experience for me unfortunately. read more

Stayed at The Venetian, came to LAVO before going to see The Eagles. The restaurant itself is gorgeous but it was such a disappointing experience. Had reservations for an early dinner, 5:45, were seated by 5:50. Restaurant was busy -- to be expected for the location so they should know how to deal with crowds. Everything took an extensive amount of time -- our server was friendly and knowledgeable but we waited 10+ minutes after we were seated to have our drink order taken then waited another 15 minutes for drinks. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, when it finally arrived, it was pretty good (but cut into small chunks with no char which was a little unexpected). I ordered the burrata ravioli and my husband ordered the Chilean seabass Puttanesca -- and our entrees were barely lukewarm. The taste was only okay -- and was possibly influenced by the temperature. By the time we received our food, we had been seated for an hour and 15 minutes, wanted to get to the concert, so we did not send the food back. A very expensive and disappointing meal. Won't be going back when we are in Las Vegas again. read more

What happened to the pepperoni pizza? This year it was paper thin. Last year it looked like this picture, thick and long and square. Also, they no longer had mocktails without alcohol on the menu. So I had to order a cocktail without alcohol but it was so small and mostly foam. read more

The LAVO staff was great in moving us through so we could make our show. The octopus appetizer was amazing and the New York cheesecake was fantastic. The veal pasta dish was good but there may be better on the menu. The decor is great. Bottom line: go here for the service. read more

Our waiter Ridge was fantastic! Didn't rush us on Christmas Day, so friendly and fun. The food was amazing, fabulous presentation, very interesting. The restaurant is lovely inside, comfortable and the music was not too loud so we weren't yelling across the table. The evening started with a little snottiness though. The Maitre'D whose name is Lizbeth has a very dismissive manner. I understand these restaurants hire young, attractive women to work the front, and there's usually little personality, but Lizbeth was downright bitchy to me. While people did stream in for their reservations, it was not at all crazy up front. They'd check in and wait outside. But she was bitchy to me and I watched her be dismissive or rude to others. It left a bad taste. She is not a good representation of all the wait staff. But obviously I'm still annoyed by the first impression 12 hours later. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with my meal at LAVO.The ambiance is moody, but still warm and inviting. The restaurant is huge with so many tables, although I highly recommend that reservations are made in advance as it was quite busy. Service was great, staff were friendly. The meatball was the star of the show but we loved our pastas as well. Definitely a fan and I would love to come back. read more

I came here to start off a bachelorette party celebration. We had reservations and was sat quickly. The decor is beautiful. It's really dark inside... almost too dark for my likings. I had the worst experience, we waited over 1.5 hours for our food. Finally, after speaking to the manager, he promised us something, but never came back. We decided to walk out. Never in my life have I walked out on a restaurant. Note to self, never book a restaurant near a venue, we showed up at 6pm for a 830pm concert. Had to go and eat at a cafe shop. We left the restaurant at 745pm with no entries. Crazy. read more

This was the spot we decided on for my girlfriend's birthday and we were not disappointed at all. The seating was a bit tight initially but our service from our server, Andrew was great. We had an idea of a couple of items we were going to get but perused the menu to get all of our items finalized. We decided on the garlic bread with the trio of dipping sauces, eggplant Parmesan appetizer, "the meatball" (a one pound ball) and my lady's dish which was scallops and shrimp in a lobster cream sauce. Needless to say we ordered too much food but it was for a special occasion. Additionally we had gotten 2 mocktails and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious and this place was great at making it a special night for my birthday girl. read more

Wow the nerve of this place. Got asked if we wanted Sparkling or Still water, like a lot of nicer restaurants. Get the bill, $45 in water...in WATER. Now the crazy part is, apparently they have house water you can get that's free. They didn't tell us that option, all they asked us was do we want sparkling or still? Guess you can get away with anything in Vegas. Seemed pretty shady to me. read more

We came here for an early Mother's Day dinner, hard pass. We were seated in a very odd corner of the restaurant in very uncomfortable chairs. Service felt very forced, meaning I felt like the waiter tried to push every single high priced item our way. I've never felt like this before. I personally skipped an entree because nothing seemed appealing and I was turned off. I will say I did enjoy the meatballs and salad. read more

They start you off with bread which were not very tasty. They were a bit dry and lacking in flavor. It was a shame because they give you a small container filled with olive oil to dip your bread in. We ordered a glass of Barolo and the Dante's Infante cocktail. The cocktail was refreshing and strong. My husband wanted to try wine but there werent many options for wines sold by the glass and there was only one option for Baralos so he ordered that. The Baralo was just average for $30 per glass and it was unfortunate that there weren't more options to choose from. We ordered the Polpo ( octopus) appetizer. The flavors were well balanced and the pureed canellini beans paired well with the octopus but the octopus was too cold. Not sure if it was supposed to be served like but I've never had octopus that cold before and the consistency was a bit harder because of the temperature. For our entrees, we ordered the pappardelle with lobster, scallops and truffle. The pasta was perfectly al dente and amazing. There were 2 beautifully cooked and tender scallops. There were a few garnishes of truffle that were shaved thick enough that I was able to chew into the texture. I wish there were larger pieces as the shaved pieces were small sized in diameter. But overall the pasta itself was cooked perfectly. This was far the best dish. We also ordered the Branzino which I wish I hadn't because there was a very wierd flavor profile.. I ordered it thinking it was going to have crispy skin but the skin was very soggy. It seems they changed the method of cooking the branzino as compared to previous photos uploaded by other yelpers. I was a bit disappointed when the branzino came out because the whole fish was butterflied ( sliced in half with tail in tact) and looked like the skin side had at one point been fried but it was soggy and soaked in the sauce. I was not particularly a fan of the sauce. I tasted a strong flavor profile of cinnamon for some reason even though there was no cinnamon mentioned on the menu. Two of the ingredients listed was guanciale and taragon. One of two ingredients may have been the flavors I tasted which did not pair well with the fish. It ruined the natural flavor of the fish as they overpowered the natural flavor of the branzino. Any time I get a chance to order the Branzino, I am usually satisfied or impressed but have never been disappointed. I think my favorite restaurants where I had exceptionally cooked branzinos were on the Vegas strip. At one of restaurants on the strip which I have ordered numerous times and is a very well known restaurant which I will name nameless ...it was cooked similarly, butterflied, in a buttery lemon sauce but the skin was still crispy. A second restaurant on the strip... the branzino was smoked and roasted on charcoal with a tomato based sauce. I guess I can't help but compare because this restaurant is priced similar to two very popular restaurants on the strip but fell short. Our waiter Diego was great and best personality and made our experience memorable. Overall the best dishe was the handmade pasta. The lack of options for wine by the glass was a bit saddening. The cocktail was unique and strong. But I regret getting the branzino. I am not sure I would go back

The short version is that this place is too snooty, even for Vegas. The food at the restaurant is probably 75% miss, and the club is even more pretentious than the restaurant. Yelpers, watch as I disect how Lavo will thoroughly disappoint you. The biggest thing I have to warn you about, whether you read the entire review or not, is that if you're eating at the restaurant, beware ordering sodas. This is the only restaurant with cloth napkins that doesn't do refills but rather charges you for each additional soda. ----- So we go through a lavishly decorated restaurant. The ambience shows clearly that whomever was responsible for the design of this place went through a great deal of thought and effort in the creation of the experience. I went to the washroom to wash my hands, and there are these clay vase type things that are very big. You use your foot to push a pedal and the water comes down from a showerhead about 3 feet above you. The design looks cool, but practical application leaves much to be desired. Well, that's about all there is to be impressed with. Service: They dropped our entrees in the kitchen. So we spent an extra 15 minutes waiting for everything. Not related to us directly, the server dropped an entire table's food on top of this one guy who was wearing a white shirt. I presume his jacket was on his chair so that probably was ruined too. We order a myriad of things from the menu. There are, a bunch of us eating. I'll just go item by item. 1. Kobe beef sliders. Excellent. Why? It's kobe beef. But it's he size of TGIF sliders and it cost 28 bucks. 2. Margherita pizza. Flat bread with toppings. Nothing special. 22 bucks. 3. The striped bass, or some kind of whole fish. Oooh, awful. The fish was bland on the top, and when you got to the bottom it's as though all the seasoning settled on the bottom. I wish I had known all the flavor was at the bottom of the pan when I was eating my bland fish. Oh, and it's served in this iron pan, so you can't really cut into it with a knife and fork. It's like dishware from the middle ages where forks and knives weren't around. 4. Shrimp Scampi. Make sure you have a small appetite cuz you're going to get an appetizer sized portion. 5. Tuna Tartar. HAHAHA. Imagine a cracker the size of a half-dollar. Now put a small amount of tuna on top to cover the cracker. 4 pieces. 16 bucks. Thanks. 6. Salmon - Overdone and super lemony. When we asked the salmon be less cooked, they came back and gave us smaller pieces of salmon. Suffice to say I was less than thrilled with our dinner. And our bill was about $500 because each soda was $4, and when 6 people each have 2-3 thinking that it's refills, we got overcharged by almost $60 at least in my opinion. Had someone explained that each soda was an additional $4, I don't think people would have ordered sodas. So we pay the bill, and we then plan to go to the club. Okay, we just spent $500 at your crappy restaurant. Can we get comps into the club? Of course not. They were, however, nice enough to give us 2-for-1 admission for the girls on Wednesday night. Yeah, it was Thursday. Only because I asked, did we get our hands stamped which supposedly allowed us to jump to the front of the line. Yeah, they didn't. We go into the club. It's standard. Nothing extraordinary. Except the kinda naked lady with the midget fanning her. Okay, that's the frikken ambience of the club? I asked to take a picture with the midget and he was more than happy to, but the jerk bouncer wouldn't let me actually stand next to him on the platform so in the photo you see the midget and my head next to his foot. Oh yeah, and the drinks are weak. I mean, they're strong if it's your first night in Vegas. But if you've got any kind of tolerance or have ever drank before in your life, be ready to drop another $100 or so in drinks. Well, that's about all I have the stomach to write. Go if you've been to every other place in Vegas and you're going for that streak. But overall, you can totally skip over Oval. I mean, Lavo. read more

One of the worst nightclubs This was a terrible experience from beginning to end. It sucks coming to vegas and planning a big night only for it to fall short because you picked the wrong venue to enjoy your time. Let's start from beginning to end. We booked a "big" table on the dancefloor on Saturday. Funny that someone else said some little dude outside was yelling at everyone because I saw the same thing happen. We got there and some guy outside, who I actually think was the manager (tiny short white guy with dirty blonde spiked hair) was yelling at the bouncer for some reason. This guy has to be kidding. To the little guy: if you're reading this please continue to treat people like shit so your guests stop coming to this place. I'd rather just see it roll over and die. We get inside and the place is pretty packed. Thankfully we had hot girls with us because there were no hot girls in sight. We were seated at a tiny dance floor table which was actually one of the bigger tables there. We stayed until 2am and then EVERYONE left. WTF? Every other nightclub runs until 4am like it should. We decided to leave and go to XS to get a table there. Thank god we left because the 2 hours at XS was better than the entire night at LAVO. I came here for brunch with my husband. We were so let down by their brunch. We came to the restaurant based on a Top 10 Vegas Brunch Review, which was clearly a scam. The brunch was described as a brunch that would change one's perspective on brunches. This was by far the worst brunch I have ever had. The waitress never checked on us. She served us coffee without cream or milk. When we asked for cream, she brought it 10 minutes later and the coffee was completely cold by then. We had to call her back over for a new coffee. She didn't apologize once for forgetting the cream. I ordered the oatmeal and it was small with barely any oatmeal in it, mostly just water. It was cold, as well! My husband's meal was completely saturated in grease. Toast came without butter or any condiments. He asked for coffee refills multiple times and the waitress walked away and didn't listen. We ended up having to ask another server or busboy for help whenever we had an issue. This restaurant was nothing but a bad experience. Don't waste your time! Review Update: When the bill game we asked to charge it to our room. The waitress came back and told me that our name didn't match our room. I repeated our room number and she said "yeah it's not the right name." We told her to check again and she never came back. 10 minutes later the manager Tim approached us with the bill and told us that he was sorry but the room number still didn't match the name. I asked to see what number they wrote down. When I looked, the waitress had misprinted one of the room numbers. I was very annoyed because I had even repeated the number to her and she still didn't notice the discrepancy. Tim was great and apologized for everything that went wrong. He tried to rectify the situation by taking my husband's meal off the bill. He also offered us a free brunch if we came back. Watered down coffee was my first disappointment. The second was waiting 10 min after the coffee was delivered for the milk to be brought to the table. Obviously the coffee was cold by this time. It's funny the place isn't even busy to justify this wait time. The meal arrived and my home fries were greasier than a greasy spoon restaurant would ever be and my toast didn't come with anything to spread on it, which I guess was I should have expected since I only had the choice between white and whole wheat. My wife had the oatmeal which was as watered down as my coffee. I don't expect this from a white table cloth restaurant. Service was terrible for us as the girl didn't care about serving us properly although I must say the the other servers seemed to be pretty good. I know this because I had to ask them for items since my waitress was never around. There are way better places to eat brunch in Vegas. Stay away from this place for brunch, they don't know from brunch. UPDATE: As we were paying for the bill the manager, Timothy Broughton approached us and was very kind and apologetic to us for the poor service we received. He removed a portion of the meal from the bill as well offered us a free brunch the next day. Very sweet guy and I highly recommend him as a restaurant manager. Disappointing Experience at Lavo I had high expectations for Lavo after hearing so many recommendations, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. I had a 9:30 PM reservation and arrived on time, yet I ended up waiting over an hour while other guests who came in after us were seated right away. When I asked the front desk about the delay, I was told multiple times to "just wait a few more minutes," only to hear the same excuse again and again. It was frustrating to feel like my reservation didn't matter and that the seating process depended more on who the staff wanted to prioritize rather than who actually booked ahead of time. Eventually, I asked to speak with the manager. To his credit, he was apologetic and admitted there was no reason I should have been waiting that long while others were being seated. However, by that point the damage was done. The food itself was good and the service at the table was fine, but the overall experience was ruined by the extremely poor handling at the front desk. It felt disorganized and dismissive, which is unacceptable for a restaurant with this reputation. This was meant to be a special evening for my daughter's birthday, but instead it was stressful and disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Lavo. Food was very good. Our pastas and other entrees were great. Drinks were good too. The compliments stop there. Worst service ever. We had a small wait so ordered drinks. At the bar and then was seated. It was my Birthday so we wanted to relax, enjoy the view and pace the meal. After we initially told the waiter we wanted a few minutes to look over the apps he returned. When we told him we weren't ready to order he informed us we would have to move to the bar if weren't ordering food. Really? Whatever, we ordered apps and put it behind us. Fun doesn't stop there...he returned a few minutes later, prior to the apps arriving and asked for our entree order. We told him we weren't ready to order yet. Apps arrived, we finished them quickly as they they were tasty. I went to the restroom and when I came back my wife told me she ordered (we already discussed what we were having). Apparently the manager came over with the server and told her if we didn't order entrees we would be moved to the bar. Seriously? if I would have known that happened I would have left. We have been to Lavo several times, so I figure they deserved a review. Just a heads up, you will definitely want to get reservations before heading over there. They are always packed! The one thing that always brings me back is their outrageously delicious garlic bread. Seriously, I have never had garlic bread like this in my life, and it's amazing. I could literally go there just for the garlic bread and a soda, and be perfectly fine, if my doctor wasn't pushing proteins and vegetables on me, lol! My husband is crazy about their veal Parmesan and their world class, gigantic, meatball appetizer, made with Wagyu beef. It could literally feed four people. Not kidding. We both get their Caesar salad every time, which is also one of the better Caesar salads, we've found in Vegas. Their wine and cocktails selections are beyond the standard and very tasty. I usually get a different dish every time I go. Their steaks are very good, as are there, pastas, and pizzas. The desserts are unusual, and always amazing! As it so happens the one Tuesday that all of my friends and I had the night off, Lavo had their "industry night" for the nightclub industry here in Vegas. We planned on just having dinner, which we've had several times in the alfresco layered decor plus the great vibe and atmosphere of the fusion nightclub + restaurant, however this was the first time we had a Fully Comped Meal. Apparently (this is all through our Local Vegas Nightclub guru Kevin Lee 714-209-3387) who mentioned that groups of Local girls get comped meals on the weekdays that Lavo is open. We have gotten comped meals before in other places so we were very suspicious and did not expect too much from LAVO's comped meal...however...we....were....BLOWN AWAY!!! A 4 to 5 course meal, from appetizer to main course to dessert..we ate for an hour and a half (with great service) and afterwords our host Kevin got us free drinks at the club itself with excellent service and great party atmosphere. Some friends and I decided to come here one friday night because I was new to the area. So we get here and I'm excited because I heard so much about this place worst idea ever. Needless to say I received the racial profiling treatment quick,fast,and in a hurry. As I'm walking around to get a feel for the place I get stopped by a security guard with a flashlight. Next I get escorted to the back by three guys and they immediately make me empty out my pockets. So now as I stand there confused I ask them what this was about and the guy tells me I'll tell you when you empty out the rest of your pockets. So I do and when they saw that I didn't have anything they gave me one free drink ticket and apologized like one free drink ticket trumps that experience. The main security gaurd was asking me the same question over and over as he kept bending my I.D over and over back and forth I thought he was gonna snap it in half. Then gives me some bullshit excuse on how they were responding to a customer's complaint and they have to take stuff like that serious. Worst experience ever I'm never going back! read more

OMG, I am obsessed with the food here! I almost never go out for Italian, but hey, it's Vegas--why not? I came here for my birthday dinner, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The ambience is everything--moody, dark, sexy. It's an absolute must-visit, just like another user mentioned. We were seated almost immediately (we did have reservations), and our table was decent, even with large parties all around us. Our server was incredible--super knowledgeable about the menu and really attentive. We ordered the tagliatelle and the Tailor, and both were out-of-this-world delicious. The broccolini and Butterball potatoes were just okay, but honestly, the mains more than made up for it. Now, let's talk dessert. I had fried Oreos with a side of melted milkshake (Fried Oreo Zeppole) which I didn't even see on the menu--maybe it's a secret item? But OMG, they were so good! I would go back for that alone. As a frequent traveler to Las Vegas I always look for recommendations from the hotel front desk. Staying at the palazzo, the front desk instructed my wife and I to the nearby lavo. We made a reservation for the night bc it was a Saturday and we wanted to make sure we got in. We arrived for our 8pm reservation and unfortunately had to wait for our table to be cleared. During the wait we were greeted and taken care of by the cocktail servers in the lounge and then walked to our table 20 minutes later. Once we got to the table, we soon realized why this place gets such great ratings. Our server and the bussers around were very attentive to our table and recommended us starting with the meatball. This is hands down the best thing among other gems on the menu. The service was great throughout the meal and even with the man in the restroom taken care of me. My recommendations is to come hungry and eat slow bc I saw multiple desserts go out that we didn't have a chance to enjoy. Thank you lavo, we will be back read more

The guys from TAO do it again. I went to Vegas with some friends for July 4th weekend and being such a HUGE fan of TAO, we decided to start it off by going to LAVO. We began by eating in the restaurant and it was amazing. We then ventured upstairs into the nightclub and had the time of our lives. Lebron James was in the house along with Jay-Z, Rhianna and a bunch of other celebs. The place was going off. People were going crazy, bottles were popping everywhere, hot girls on the banquets, sparklers...the works. We had such a good time that we returned 2 nights later for DJ Vice Sundays. Again the place was rockin'. Music was a great mix of house and hip-hop and the place had amazing energy. This place has it all: delicious food, beautiful decor, great music and the staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. I never waited more than a couple of minutes for a drink. I would recommend it for anyone going to vegas, especially if it's your first time. read more

I recently visited Lavo Restaurant, and overall, it was a disappointing experience. The food was just okay--nothing memorable or exciting. Maybe it was the choice I selected. The biggest letdown, however, was the service. From start to finish, it felt rushed and inattentive. We were constantly on alert, as the staff seemed eager to clear our plates whether we were done or not, so make sure to eat quickly if you want to avoid losing your meal mid-bite. Our waitress was polite enough, but not very attentive; getting her attention felt like a game of hide-and-seek. As for the ambience, it seemed decent, but the experience was overshadowed by the poor service and average food. I can only hope the place was busy, which might explain the very poor service I received. However, busy or not, you should get the quality of service you deserve for the price you pay at this restaurant. read more

I had a great experience at LAVO when I visited with my cousin. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant had an inviting, stylish atmosphere. While waiting for our table, there was an unfortunate interaction with another guest. Alex, the hostess assisting us, handled the situation with incredible professionalism and grace. She calmly addressed the behavior and ensured we felt comfortable and welcomed. Her customer service truly stood out and turned what could have been a negative experience into a positive one. Once seated, the food was absolutely delicious. The salads were fresh and flavorful, and the truffle fries were fantastic, definitely a must-order. The interior is gorgeous and exudes a fancy, upscale vibe that sets high expectations for the dining experience. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the ambiance. I ordered the Alfredo Pasta, which turned out to be disappointing. The noodles were undercooked and lacked the perfect al dente texture you'd expect from a quality Italian spot. Meanwhile, my wife opted for the sea bass. She enjoyed it overall but found the dish a bit bland -- we even had to add our own salt to bring out the flavors. By the end of our meal, we both still felt hungry and underwhelmed by the food quality, especially given the restaurant's elegant setting and price point. It was one of the worst experience ever. We started off with dinner and it took so long just to get out drinks. When we finally got out drinks we were ready to order our food and the waitress walked away. It took us 10 min to flag her down to tell her our order. The place was busy but it was probably cause the service was so slow. When we finally got the food it was OK but not impressive for the price. After we had dinner we went up to the nightclub which was less than remarkable. We had to push our way through the crowd just to get a drink. Again the service was really slow. I would think the company would want faster employees to make more money. The place seemed crowded but that was because it was so small. I left Lavo with an empty wallet and frustration. This is long overdue, but we had our wedding meal here back on the 28th February for 15 of us from the UK & US. It was unbelievable. I really want to thank JJ for being an awesome and attentive waitress. You always kept us topped up and came to ask us if we wanted drinks which we were worried might not happen having prepaid for a group party. I know, cynical brits ha. But yeah, totally amazing - thank you for making our day perfect. The food was something else, even our esteemed American friends were amazed at how flavoursome the food was. Apologies we didn't eat it all, but much rather too much than too little! I'd really recommend the group dining menu to anyone. There wasn't one dish that was below par. Everything was fantastic. Just came here for brunch for my two friends 30th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect. Tyler was our server and he was literally the BEST! So sweet and friendly. He was very attentive and made sure that we had a great time. Mitch was also helping us out and he was awesome as well. We definitely needed to stay hydrated and he made sure to keep our waters full!! This was my second time coming here and our experience was even better than the first. A girlfriend of mine introduced me to Lavo. We go there every other weekend and its always a blast!! The DJ always plays the hottest songs that everyone loves to get down too, service is always fast and the employees are also helpful in making sure we have a great time. I would have to say this club is also great because it has a mixed crowed... there is something for everyone :). You wont see anyone holding up the wall here!! Everyone is dancing from the moment they get there till they close the doors. As for the restaurant... I haven't been yet, but I hear only good things. My friends coming down this weekend and we're making reservations tomorrow morning yay!! read more

The pasta was delicate and light, while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. Fresh peas, beautifully prepared mushrooms, and an incredible sauce brought everything together in a dish that was both elegant and comforting. The mushrooms alone were some of the best I've ever tasted. To top off an already incredible evening, the restaurant surprised me with a complimentary birthday tiramisu. It was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch that made the celebration even more special. This wasn't just a wonderful meal--it was a complete dining experience. I thought we needed a salad so we shared the grilled peaches with whipped ricotta (22). Everyone should get this. It's delicious and comes with this fantastic puffy bread for scooping. Along with the pizza and lasagna, we had the lobster tagliatelle (68). All of our mains were very good. I don't think the portions are meant for sharing - these feel more like smaller individual plates. I feel like we ordered a lot but it still didn't feel like that much food. Given that, we shared the cherry crostata (18), which again was really good but we should have ordered two desserts I guess. Maybe we're just spoiled by the huge American style dining portions? Our meal came to around $300. We asked our server to split it 2/3 and 1/3 and he seemed to have no patience for that request at all. He was nice about it but clearly not supportive of our idea. I suppose I understand. Everything we had here was tasty. It's a nice room and we didn't fell smashed into a space nor was the music too loud or the wrong fit. But it still fell just a little short for me in terms of being a 5-star meal or a place I'd rush back to.

They have a faux patio seating in front but we asked to sit further inside and the sound barrier was much better. There were 4 of us and some of the small plates were easily shared amongst all of us. The Italian Salad was piled high. We all loved it. The meatballs were the same, very large and easily shared. I ordered the Lobster Raviolis and it was the perfect amount and very delicious. I had thought about getting their bone in pork chop special but ultimately happier I stayed with the Ravioli choice. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff took good care of us all. Their bathroom is a little different in that there is no main door. You enter into the bathroom area to find several fully sealed toilets with doors, open for men or women to use. You still have privacy but it was a little awkward.

Ambience was lovely, having arrived earlier than most for a pre-show meal and being seated towards the windows with natural light coming through. The interior is beautifully appointed in light woods, white linens and unobtrusive table lights; giving clean, modern, yet unpretentious. We started with the calamari & cauliflower app paired with some bubbly, which tasted amazing (lightly battered & fried, served with an aioli that had a nice hit of heat). The cesar salad followed, which tasted fresh and was dressed beautifully with a light cesar vinaigrette and anchovy. The freshly made rosemary focaccia was a nice added touch to our service as well. We each got different entrees, but all were made with their freshly prepared house-made pasta, along with a shared side of corn for the table. All were beautifully presented, full of flavor and paired well with the Faust cabernet we ordered. The final ta-da was the cheesecake, which we all indulged in at the end (silky, creamy and oh so good). Although we had less than 1.5 hours before the show, we never felt rushed and were able to thoroughly enjoy our meals. Definitely a star of the items and it somehow stayed crisp the whole time we ate it. For main courses, I got chicken parm while my partner got the Filet Mignon. The steak was great and buttery, super tender. The chicken parm was outstanding and one of the best I have ever had. We finished the meal with tiramisu and our waiter was so kind and didn't rush us while we ate so we could enjoy as many performances as we could fit in. And all the performances were outstanding! We had contortionists, burlesque performers, and jugglers standing above our table! Great food and great performances made for a wonderful date night.

There's a difference between a nice char and absolutely hard and burned with a bitter taste. The eggplant was tasteless and was lacking salt and may be an acid. The gnocchi sauce was delicious and the mushrooms were great, but the gnocchi itself was hard and dense. The only enjoyable part were the interesting performances and our friendly and kind servers.

The waiter recommended the bolognese as an entree, and it has got to be the worst bolognese I've ever had at a restaurant, ever. It was so bland. I took home the leftovers and couldn't even work up the stomach to finish. The portion of each was massive, easily enough for 2. What really shone here was the dessert. I got the sorbet- mandarin and lemon. It was probably the best sorbet of my life. The flavors were absolutely incredible and I would go back just for this. Overall, I love the dark, New York-y ambiance of the restaurant and the hospitality was next level. I came here a couple years ago and got the Gorgonzola gnocchi, which was quite good, so I would probably skip the daily menu next time and just do the gnocchi and sorbet.
