Wow. Gorgeous restaurant! Our server Skylar gave us EXCELLENT suggestions and SERVICE! Shared the big meatball, Caesar salad,, gnocchi w mushroom and truffle and a side of GF penne w marinara. Celebrated Mother's Day this year 2023 @Lavo. Booking a reservation 2 days prior was smooth and easy. We are locals but we couldn't get a last minute reservation somewhere of the strip and we try to avoid the strip as much as possible. The day of, plenty of parking so it wasn't a problem. Once inside Palazzo, the restaurant was easy to find. We were on time and Once we checked in they lead us to our table. The restaurant was spacious and I could see the customers were tourists (of course!). Our beautiful server was very attentive, our appetizers and main course was served promptly. I ordered a modified spaghetti bolognese , it was delicious, I tried the sea bass, it was red and slightly raw on the inside and it was good. The calamari was not bad either. And the desserts like tiramisu was good and so as the 21 layer chocolate cake. They have very clean bathroom and there's an attendant assisting you inside, and don't forget to tip. The food was average, the service was aweful, the noise level was uncomfortable, plus we arrived with reservations at 8:15, and our food was on our table at 9:20. Six of us had dinner around 7 PM at LAVO Las Vegas on 2/25/2026. The food itself was good. The service was abominable. We ordered a caesar salad and two beet salads as first courses. The caesar salad arrived in time. We passed it around as nothing else was coming. Then most of the main courses arrived. A main dish of ravioli was MIA as was the corresponding beverage order. Finally, the beet salads came, but one was refused since it was supposed to have been a first course. There were long periods where nothing was happening. We were discouraged from ordering more since this would just have resulted in more time wasted waiting for dishes which came late, if at all. One person had ordered tiramisu for dessert, and there was an order for coffee and a decaf espresso. The tiramisu arrived, but not the coffees. We asked about the coffees and were told that there was no decaf espresso. Neither was cream available for coffee. So we canceled the coffee order and asked to have the tiramisu (which was nicely presented) for takeout. The tiramisu, as take out, was an unappetizing mush, so we refused it and asked for reimbursement. The manager was called. He asked if we had sat at the bar. We hadn't. I then had to identify the table at which we sat, which I did. On the way to the table I informed the manager that the food had arrived haphazardly if at all. His response was that "there were a million reasons for this happening." An apology would have been in order rather than some rationalization for abysmal service. The person with the tiramisu order was celebrating her 75th birthday that night. Her experience was a horrible present! read more

Located inside the Palazzo hotel near the check in area is LAVO, They have a weekend all you can eat brunch for $55 that runs til 4pm. The buffet is slightly different than your normal buffet. You order what you want and they bring it to you. Some dishes on the menu are additional costs like seafood and steak but it's not too hefty in cost. They have a wonderful dessert bar selection with a chocolate fountain. I will say all dishes are large and they don't charge if you don't finish. Had the pleasure of enjoying brunch there today with my 2 daughters and granddaughter. Delicious! It's a brunch buffet but they serve everything to you at your table. And it's all you can eat! The portions are huge, so definitely shareable. Such a large variety too. We had the pastry basket, seafood salad, oysters on the half shell, tuna tartare, beet salad, margherita pizza, truffle fries, eggs florentine, spaghetti and meatballs, a rigatoni pasta and to end it all, a beautiful dessert basket which included a chocolate fountain! Everything we had was absolutely delicious, but did note the truffle fries were a little heavy on the garlic. We also enjoyed unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary's, which are an additional charge. So me and my family have been here twice for brunch. Yes we are coming back again! This is one of the best brunch places we could find in all Las Vegas, personally and that's coming from a local. The food is all very good! You cannot beat having all you can eat oysters and yes they are fresh oysters! Then there are all the great options that are so delicious! The brick oven pizzas are so well done! Crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of toppings. The tuna tartare is one of my personal favorite things to order here! Been wanting to try this place due to the Endless Brunch. So I called on 8/10 and inquired about the price. Lady who answered said price changed to $54.99. I was happy with that cuz I saw $62 or something around that range on website. So my son and I get seated and ambience is nice. Waiter came and asked if we have been there before and I said no. He explained and pointed to what the brunch included but didn't really get into further details so needless to say, looking at the menu, you had to pay for extra on certain items which should have been disclosed carefully. I see the price is like $64 on the menu but I didn't complain or reveal my conversation about the wrong information provided to me. We ordered oysters and pasta all a vodka. Oysters tasted like seawater and pasta was dry. Not enough sauce. Tried again and ordered deviled eggs which was $10 extra and waiter said nothing to confirm I understood that it was extra and my son ordered Alfredo. Again, not enough sauce so I asked for extra. Deviled eggs were too salty. Not suggested. They forgot my sauce and by that time I got my sauce, pasta was cold. Extra sauce was a little saucer of milk which did not coat the pasta. Service was very slow but to the waiter and servers defense, it appears they were short staffed. Waiter was nice and server was too but food came out slow. Overall, this brunch is not worth it. LAVO was absolutely delicious! If you want authentic Italian food, this is the place to go. Our waitress, Kari, was so kind and very patient. She gave her recommendations, her favorites and attended to all our needs. It was a busy night, and yet, she still made her rounds and made sure we were doing okay. The lad who came to give water was also great at his job, coming back to the table to refill often. It's a nice environment in the Venetian. Of course, the food is expensive, however, the portions and taste of the food makes up for it! My sister ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara - delicious! My mom ordered the Chicken Marsala without mushrooms - also a delight! I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka - so tasty! We also got garlic bread for appetizer, and it came out in a whole baguette! i cannot recommend this place but I have conflicting feelings. TLDR: penne was raw and service is servilely lacking. FOOD: Garlic bread was good for the first slice but once cooled you realize how oily it is. Burrata salad had good flavor but barely had any pesto, for $22 I expected a little more than 3 slices of tomato and one ball of burrata. Penne with vodka sauce I would avoid at all cost. The sauce might have been fine but the pasta is WAY undercooked. It was raw and inedible. After bringing it up to the waiter they took it back and brought another plate that was equally raw. All my friends were done eating and I was left with inedible pasta. SERVICE: Came here with a large group and we were maybe 5-7 minutes late for the reservation. I don't know if it was because we were late or not, but we had to wait around 40 minutes to be seated. Once seated they took our order pretty quickly but after I felt like our table was being avoided. I will admit we were a large group and three members of the group were being rough. But the other 9 were perfectly normal. It took so long to flag down our waiter that I just kept my hand in the air so anyone would notice, but not a single waiter bothered. The one good thing I can say is that the people refilling water did an excellent job. I really wouldn't come back here. The service and food were unacceptable for the price. read more

My second visit for the Sunday AYCE brunch. Price has gone up $5 since the first visit. I ordered iced tea to drink, and for some unknown reason they add peach flavoring. It's not overpowering, but for someone from the South it's weird. Again had a couple of dozen oysters and Caesar salad with extra anchovies, both top-notch. This time I skipped the third dozen and tried both the salmon ceviche and the seafood salad. I've had ceviche in several countries, but this version was so bland and tasteless I wonder if the fish even sniffed at a lime. The salad consisted primarily of calamari rings with some shrimp pieces. It tried not to be too bland with a few pepper flakes at the bottom of the plate, but again it was disappointing. Some spicy vinaigrette would make this dish come alive. I can see why the restaurant might want to avoid strong flavors, but at least there could be some seasonings on the table. Party Brunch Review: overrated, not worth the money. An 8 person table has a minimum of $1,500 to spend. Alcohol prices are highly inflated which will quickly get you to the minimum. The. Staff pressures the person in your party who has their credit card down for the table to immediately buy a bottle and to hurry up and order food. We got the big waffle board which was very tasty. The food was delicious but the entertainment was a house style music DJ. Some hired girls dancing every once in awhile. With the minimum table spend plus automatic tip, fees and taxes, was about $300 per person = not worth it. We should have done dinner and a show for that price. Drink prices are on a tablet, one per table so not easy to decide and the waffle board was $75 higher than what their website said. On the down side we get in and no host even walks us to our table they just send us inside to figure it out and when I tell you it's shoulder to shoulder packed it's literally like being in a club scene, originally we had a table reserved for inside but upon arrival they tell us if we want to sit inside we need to spend a minimum of 2000$ not only did we was over 1000 for a table they sat us outside the food portions were not shareable sizes and they don't even have entertainment outside but conveniently placed at a table outside where they change I'm still confused what we paid for because we had a crap table no entertainment and extremely small portions. Went here for Sunday brunch they had a flat fee of $45 for the buffet (but all the food was brought to your table by a server). They also had $30 dollars but less drink and it was nice you could mix and match them and didn't have to just stick to one! The food was overall decent, we probably tried almost everything on the menus between the 4 of us and just shared everything. The portions were smaller than typical and it was perfect for sharing. The highlight of the brunch was definitely the service! The guy was had was amazing and super attentive. Just make sure that you don't eat too much of it, or else you'll be dealing with some serious indigestion later on. It was mostly radicchio, then It was 80% beets, 3 different kinds, and slices of citrus were lemon. So bitter - I ate one alone & nearly spit it out. I powered thru but I am not a huge Beet lover - I will eat a few but this was too much. The Cesar salad was good - but $21 for a salad is not reasonable. It's just lettuce, Parmesan & croutons! TLDR: Good variety. Tasty selection. Cool concept. Slow service. Lavo has an endless Sunday brunch. Had reservations and had to wait about 10-15 minutes to get seated. Took a few minutes for our waiter to approach us. Ordered coffee, which took about 10 minutes to come. It took about another 10 minutes for our server to grab a few muffins from the dessert stand about 5 feet away from us. Got our oysters and beet salad which were both absolutely delicious. Waited 25 minutes after that to get our breakfast entrees. All in all from the time we were seated until when we got our first entree was an hour. The standouts were the brunch pizza, the waffles with Salted Carmel, Eggs Benedict. Very unique. Then came the fettuccine and Mac and cheese the fettuccine was very good, the Mac and cheese was bland. We were so full at that point we barely touched it. Last, the server brought us some melted chocolate and dippers for dessert. The brownie was excellent. A good way to end the meal. Really would have given the restaurant 3 stars for the service. Usually at buffets you starve yourself all day in preparation and the hour wait until we got an entree was agony. $100 for two people made me think we would have been better off ordering 3-4 entrees at a regular brunch spot. This place suffers from a leadership void. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation. It was busy, as The Eagles were playing in The Sphere that night, so having an extra 18,000 people milling around the area is going to create delays. Our reservation time came and went, with multiple people waiting to be seated. We grabbed a seat at the bar to kill time. The bartenders were amazing. Very hospitable. While we were drinking, people were still waiting 30-45 minutes for their tables. We did learn however that if you throw a temper tantrum to the manager, he will sit you right away. We watched a guy do that and somehow the manager magically made a table appear. We finally got our table an hour after checking in. The staff was amazing. They understood the issues and were all working to make the experience enjoyable while the manager went about micro managing and seating people in what seemed to be any particular order. Seafood was extremely fresh, quality ingredients you can taste, and great presentation. The 3 stars is for their slow and poor service. We were all starving and waited about 30 minutes for our appetizers to come out and almost an hour for our hot foods. We had to order 2 rounds of appetizers because our entrees took so long. Even then, some of our sides and appetizers were missed. We watched our server tend to the table next to us who was clearly drinking (we didn't) meanwhile we sat there twirling our thumbs. He barely touched our table and only became friendly and chatty as one of us handed him our credit card to pay for the meal at the end. When we told him we were ready for the check, he came back with the tab and no credit card in sight, completely absent minded! This was my second time dining here, and my first experience was a great one. Not so much, this second time though. Went here for the Party Brunch that they have on Saturday's for my wife's Birthday and it was LIT! The transformation from an already elite atmosphere while dining to the "nightclub" style environment is unmatched! We already want to go back lol.
