I made a reservation for 7:30pm for a party of 4 for a birthday. We showed up at 7:20 and the receptionist told us one party is before us and after that we will get seated. At 7:45 they told us we were "next". Other parties of 3 and 4 were coming in and got seated immediately. At 8pm when I asked again about our reservation the receptionist told us we were"next." More people who just arrived got seated before us...again. At 8:15 we complained and got the same answer - you are "next". So we decided to go to an other restaurant. I don't know what the meaning of the word "next" means to them, but the restaurant definitely has an issue with reservations. My mom and I dined at LAVO for their weekend brunch. The atmosphere is very welcoming and impressive. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. I would love to thank Maureen, Armando and Thomas for making this experience unforgettable. We started off with oysters, a seafood salad, and a beet salad. My experience here with my partner was extravagant (again). We were celebrating our four year anniversary and LAVO did just that for us. A celebration. Our server Danielle was the sweetest person I've literally ever come in contact with. She made amazing suggestions and didn't try to up sell us. We will definitely be back again to see her. The food was astonishingly good and don't even get me started on the dessert. Danielle was nice enough to send us out the fried Oreos and they are to die for. The place is more of a scene than a restaurant. I went for my bachelor party this past weekend. My fiancée had called the restaurant the morning of the reservation to ask them to send champagne and dessert to our table. The waiter was completely clueless. He brought the champagne out after we paid our bill. We were too full to drink it and left the bottle on the table. Moreover, we showed up at 6:30pm to get seated for our 7:00 reservation. One of the waitstaff told us they didn't start seating until 7:30, which was inaccurate. read more

Lavo's food was good, but the service was absolutely abysmal. Our waitress somehow managed to be inattentive and slow, almost never coming over to the table while also managing to make us feel like she was rushing us and just wanted to turn the table over while she was there. She refused to bring bread over until we ordered food (despite the fact that we had already ordered a bottle of wine, another drink and were clearly going to order dinner) and was pretty rude about it. MULTIPLE items we ordered didn't show up. Two people in our party got their salads, and after 15 minutes she finally came over so that we could ask where the third was. She didn't seem at all concerned, and it took a full 15 minutes past that for it to arrive, making it 30 minutes after the others. Then with the entrees someone's side dish didn't come until after he was literally finished with his entree. When he politely complained to the waitress about the fact that multiple items didn't arrive she walked away without saying a word. Not an apology, not an acknowledgment that he said anything, she just stared at us for a few seconds and then walked away. So so unbelievably rude. The food was really good, but that type of poor service and management inattentiveness wouldn't even really be acceptable at a Denny's. read more

Amazing spot for a nice dinner and drinks. Me and my girlfriend wanted a nice fancy in a good setting and ended up choosing Lavo since it wasn't far from our hotel and had good reviews. We started with the garlic bread which was buttery and perfect along with the three dips it came with. The spaghetti carbonara was incredible, seriously and the chicken parmigiana was a pretty good too. Came late on a reservation, but the manager at the hostess stand was awesome and sat us right away. We were offered both inside an outside seating. We chose wrong and went with outside. Terrible vibe and music outside. Let's start with the good. The food. The food here is actually really good and huge portions!! We ordered: Calamari - Pretty good. Not very crisp. Tons of food Beet Salad - Skip Meatball with Ricotta - So good! Carne Pizza - wasn't terrible, wasn't all that impressive either Cavatelli bolognese - Bomb! Fire!! The best! Chicken Parm - Surprisingly really good! Wine - ok Now - this is what takes good food and destroys the experience. Bad/lack of service. Server if I can recall was named Eric. And this is where it went downhill. Barely saw him the entire night. Came off super cocky and followed up with sub-par skills. Took 15 minutes just to get our first drink out. Messed up our order, we asked for half and half on the pizza. Told us he would ask and then let us know. Instead - he never came back (ever). Before we knew it we had one of the pizza's that we ordered. Asked for side of marinara sauce....twice from him and a bus boy. It finally came when they were clearing our table of food. Debated ordering dessert - we wanted it. But our sever never came back, so we asked another server after 10 minutes of waiting for our check because we decided waiting another 15-20 minutes for our original server to come out and actually bring the dessert would not have been worth it. 3 stars....food is pretty good. We were last night Oct 13 having dinner at Lavo restaurant palazzo 830 pm . We left our phone charging beside the wall On the floor. And we left at 11 pm and forgot it there. Since the morning we are suffering to contact any one can help us to find our phone. Palazzo Vip lounge tried to help us contacting your stuff. And we also went many time to your rude managers who has no idea how to respect their guests especially this manager  called fay who refused in the beginning to come to talk to me regarding the missing phone until I insist to talk to a manger.  They all said phone not found. And they can't check the camera footage to see who from your stuff or cleaners took our phone. Camera is there to protect your guest also not to  only protect your restaurant. And I stil hope we can solve this issue  friendly by you Chekc your footage and find who from your stuff took thr phone.. without bringing  the police inside your restaurant tonight. We went to lavo to celebrate my cousin birthday. 1 hr later we were on our way to the hospital because my cousin wife was throwing up due to food poisoning. She ordered the Penne seafood. After several times trying to talk to someone about the incident, we received a call back from john martinez "risk and safety director. We provided him all the receipts, hospital records,etc. Nothing but a bunch of empty promises from him. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and this trip we decided was the time to venture out to new and exciting food experiences. We arrived at about 6PM without reservations. We were seated immediately at a very nice table. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Of course we had to order the most impressive meatball as an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious. I came for that and was not disappointed. For my main course I had gnocchi with mushrooms. The gnocchi was like tiny pillows and it was flavored deliciously. I really enjoyed this meal. Ok, I'll start off saying that the service was fabulous and so was the meatball. Our server was quite pleasant and made honest recommendations on the menu. The one star review comes from me getting food poisoning and puking my brains out and pissing out of my back side for literally 24 hours.. while on my honeymoon. We had a reservation for dinner at 9pm. I had the seafood linguini. It was good, nothing terrible, totally fine in taste and nothing about the seafood made me think the seafood was undercooked or anything. Around 1am I started to feel super queasy. Knots in the stomach, heat flashes. I ran to the casino bathroom and spent about 30 min with my head in public bathroom toilet. Not how I wanted to spend my honeymoon. I finally felt well enough to get into a cab and make our way back to the hotel. Where I hugged the toilet for another hour or so. So if you're planning to eat here, steer clear of all seafood and just get two meatballs instead. read more

If you're in Vegas, you need to come here! First of all, the decor is beautiful. Second of all, our service was amazing. He was so kind and helpful with our requests. Third of all, the food is incredible. The bread that comes with the meal was so flavorful! It had bits of cheese on it and came with marinara sauce. I had to make sure I didn't get too full on it... For the main dish, I was really in the mood for pasta, so I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka without the meat. This was the best pasta dish I've ever had in my life (besides the gnocchi I had in Rome maybe...). I completely cleared the plate - it was so flavorful, well spiced and filling. For dessert, we got the cheesecake. The brûlée & fruit on top was a bit weird to me (mainly because I don't like fruit in dessert), but my boyfriend loved it. The cheesecake itself was great! The Lavo restaurant was beautiful inside, but I would not call the buffet brunch a buffet. It took too long between courses to request and get our food even though you could order all you could eat. Drinks and any specialty foods not listed in the buffet were also additional costs. So paying $49.99 pp didn't seem like it was worth it at all. The food itself was tasty good and was quality ingredients though. If you want a true AYCE buffet experience, I would go to Bacchnal, Wicked Spoon or any other casino buffet. I would not do this again or recommend. If I'm going to eat somewhere on the strip I would just make reservations at a nice restaurant and order off the menu. read more

My husband and I shared a dozen oysters(very good). He got a seafood pasta which was a bit sparse on the seafood, so he thought it was just okay. Someone in the group recommended Lavo as being one of the best restaurants. I used Open Table to make a last minute reservation for 6. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The staff was very nice and let us sit where we could talk and still hear each other. Lavo used to be a night club years ago, but they still play loud dance music after 8 pm which was when we were seated. I showed up at Lavo with the intention of getting 2 desserts to go. The front staff kindly pointed me to the bar to order and wait. I ordered the 7 layer rolled chocolate cake and the peanut butter cake. The bartenders were super friendly and did their best to make my wait as enjoyable as possible. I did expect them to be faster, since I only ordered dessert, but once they brought out the dessert, I understood what took so long. The peanut butter cake is so large that thy had to get creative and wrap it in a pizza box. The decor at Lavo is beautiful. I would definitely recommend Lavo for a drink or a date. Before the club gets started, this is a quiet and relaxing place to be. As for the cake, it's amazing. Both were really great. You need to really, really enjoy peanut butter to love that cake. It's super filling and rich. It's a dessert to share. I preferred it to the rolled cake, but I love peanut butter. The rolled cake is like a ho-ho only bigger and denser. Overall, I would get both again. The prices are also super reasonable for the size. I highly recommend dessert here. P.S. I've had the Oreo zeppoles in the past. This was our first time at Lavo. When we arrived at the maitre d' desk, the first question asked was if we wanted to sit outside. I told him no, it's 100 degrees outside, save those tables for your visitors from Houston. It was 6pm and there were plenty of tables indoor - although when we finished our meals and were leaving, the restaurant was packed. Maybe some folks enjoy the heat, not me. We discovered that a special "Restaurant Week" menu was in effect - so we ordered from that. The menu consisted of an appetizer, entree and dessert. The food was all excellent. We had calamari, caesar salad, salmon, tiramisu and bread pudding. Price was $50 pp and portions were a good size. A bottle of beer was $10. Water was free. The service was extremely attentive - waitress, drink servers, food servers, managers - all showed us a lot of attention and made sure all our needs were met. Of course, the only time I didn't see our waitress was when we were ready to pay the bill. Had to wait awhile to get the check. Noise level was fine and it was easy to carry on a conversation - which leads me to really my only complaint. The tables for two consist of one long padded bench along a wall with individual tables and a chair facing the wall for each couple. These tables were spaced so close together that absolutely no privacy existed. My wife and I kept our conversation light while we learned all about the lives of the two couples adjacent to us. My suggestion is to request a four top as we noticed many couples were seated at them. This would afford a much better overall experience. read more

We went here for convenience because of a show and our friends wanted to try it out. The food basically tasted like an over priced Olive Garden; okay--maybe a more little towards Maggianos. The famous meatball was good, but not great. The server, Jessica, was horrible and not attentive at all. We basically had to ask her (it should be the other way around) for refills of water, bread, etc...Service was a 1 Star rating. I suggest going somewhere local for Italian like Prosecco, Nora's, or Ester's where the food is much--much better and the prices are a good value. Plus the servers are more attentive! read more
