So came to AC looking for a steakhouse and ventured in expecting good things since I saw 4 stars. The bar and everything was ok decor. I'm giving this place 1 Star becuase in the end it's still a "steakhouse" We ordered Surf and turf Ribeye med Ribeye med rare Salmon Crab cake Onion rings And a veg. Crab soup Sangria the steaks did cook to temp. But they were worse then supermarket steaks, meat was beaten soft and all the tendons was still there. Not chewable. Basic grill with some butter salt pepper. You can pan a steak at home and it'll taste better. Steak at a diner taste better The lobster tail was frozen, and you can taste the thaw. Crab cake was OK, they did use can lump crab meat but didn't sear enough. Soup was not good. Tasted like Campbell. Salmon had no flavor and overcooked. Sangria was soda with splash of juice and red wine. They do offer a salad bar and bread bar. I can't find a reason to add any stars. read more

Let me start off by saying the only reason this place is getting the two stars is the salad bar and our waitress. My wife had the New York strip and I had the prime rib. My daughter and I decided to try the LB One Steakhouse for my birthday dinner. We both ordered filet mignon and baked potatoes they also had a salad bar which we enjoyed. Wonderful Restaurant! This was my first time here, but I will definitely be back. They have a fantastic menu. Everyone in my party ordered either a steak or seafood, and everything was perfectly cooked. At my table, we had lobster tails, filet mignon, and a rib eye steak. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was top notch. Everyone checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything and really thought of everything. Did I mention the salad bar... It's not often that you even get a salad with your meal anywhere these days but the salad bar was freshly stocked and a great surprise. Not impressed at all. Was there years ago and I remember it being pretty good. I got the salmon and a sweet potato. Salmon was dry could have used some type if dressing on it, the sweet potato was so little it was barely there. We made reservations for Valentines Day and we were sat down immediately, when we came in which was nice! The ambiance was candle light dinner, darker mood, I enjoyed it. I ordered the duck duck raz drink, and a pan seared scallop dinner. My fiancé ordered the grilled rib eye. The salad bar was a little bit congested and there was a few items missing and empty, such as the macaroni salad. We tried about three different breads, I thought that the pumpernickel and another white flakey bread tasted kind of stale unfortunately. I ordered the pan seared scallops and they tasted and looked like they were broiled because, the top of the scallop was the only part that was seared. The bottom was very squishy and rubbery. My fiancés steak was cooked to his liking, however their was no taste at all to his steak. Due to these reasonings, I don't think we will be coming back. read more

Came here on our last day of traveling. Excited that we came at a great time and our table was seated in a corner away from the center. Note: you do not order from your waitress but go up and choose your meats & sides from the Cook. Oh my the meat is Huge and delicious for the price. We had salad & they have a bread bar too. Came back to our table and ordered drinks. Took the family out to celebrate daughter's 23rd birthday. I got the prime rib medium rare. Wife got the crab cakes & baked sweet potato. It came a cinnamon sugar butter that she loved. This is the place I got all duded up to take my wife 24 years ago for a romantic, intimate diner for 2. This time we brought the 22 year old kid. No problem 1/2 the people tonight had kids and family. Last month we wheat to the LB5 and the cook was kind of a dick. This Cook was awesome and so was our waitress. You have to get it when you go to the Library (insert number here), part of the charm is going up ordering from the cook then grab your salad sit down enjoy your time with each other. The mail was great but the salad bar was a little lacking and that's were you loss the 5th star. That's all I have because my wife wants me to put the phone away. I travel for a living. I always try to find the best local restaurants. I called on a Wednesday to see if there was a spot at the bar for myself as a solo diner. They said there were places at the bar to sit but unfortunately I was informed there was no more prime rib available that evening. The next night on Thursday, I called and was advised there were seats at the bar available and prime rib still available. So, I gave the place a try. I started with the pan seared sea scallops which were delicious about seven out of 10. Then I ordered the extra cut prime rib. This was by far the best prime rib of beef I have ever tasted. I cook prime rib myself frequently and cannot come close to the flavor and tenderness of this cut. The ambience is very nice although you may not feel extremely comfortable if you are not from Jersey lol. Overall, I would rate this place at least a nine out of 10 and I cannot wait to come back for some more prime rib and scallops! read more

While this restaurant was different aesthetically, it's food was great. There was a dark ambience of a library because there were books everywhere. I had gotten the NY strip while my family had ordered various other meals. They recommend the lobster tail and crab cakes. My strip was delicious and while could use more seasoning it had a great texture. As other reviews say that the salad bar was dirty or gross, for us it was immaculate. Okay don't let the exterior of this place stop you from coming in!!! WOW! Okay so first off who knew the atmosphere would be soooooo comfy!! If you're looking for a place which is home-like but yet you have people fix your food and serve you this is it!!! Lol. Our waitress Suzanne was THE BEST!! She was attentive and just the perfect amount of hovering . Okay back to the food. Juicy, from the teens at the table = "mad good for no reason", salad oh so fresh and crisp, we couldn't even take a picture of the scallops which we had for appetizers because we were so hungry and they literally melted in our mouth. Great food and unique offering - salad bar. Located close to Atlantic City, alternative to pricey AC steakhouses.

On a recent Saturday evening we decided to try LB One for dinner. We liked the concept. However, there was a lot of disappointment. The hostess was very nice and accommodated our table request. The waitress was also very kind when she was taking our order and seemed very attentive when I explained my dairy sensitivities (she even wrote it on the check!) and that I couldn't have dairy and she showed me which items could be ordered that way. I then ordered scallops. While waiting, we went to the salad bar, which we were looking forward to. It was OK but limited and there is a convoluted maze-like trip over to it. Our food arrived. My fiancé's steak was tough. The scallops plate looked like it was swimming in butter? but I assumed it must be broth. I realized afterwards that they did not pay any attention to my request. I was sick for the next 24 hours as a result of eating the dairy. read more

So when you walk into in, this place has a live band. There are also wonderful chefs. They make the best steaks ever. I have been here two times now and was not disappointed at all. First time I got the baby back ribs and second time I got the shrimp scampi and filet mignon. My boyfriend got the house special and the rib eye the second time. My boyfriends mom got the prime rib. Their French onion soup is also top notch. My favorite is the filet mignon and the shrimp scampi so far. After you order with the chef, you get your salad. The salad bar is also great with lots of fresh vegetables. There is self cut cheese and bread also available. I love the cheese the most. I have read the reviews of other reviewers. Some steakhouses do not season their steak because it is to be seasoned by yourself to your perfection. Personally I like it this was since I normally dont like to go too much on salt as some other people may want something different. So if you get the house special, you get dessert with your meal. I've always been a huge fan of LB One. My go-to order is always the extra cut prime rib. It's huge, flavorful, and delicious. During COVID, they don't offer the salad and bread bar with the cheese. However, you can pick off a list how you'd like your salad and the server prepares it for you. I've never had a disappointing meal here ever! I love steaks and try different places whenever I can. And for the past 30+ years, this place has always had the best filet mignon I've ever tasted. They prepare it perfectly, with just the right searing, and a perfect inside, from the best beef. I have not found a better steak. It's good to have reservations during busy times. read more
