Made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. Vibe of the whole place is perfect - dark and moody and oh so French. We checked in with the hostess and were immediately shown our table. It was a Tuesday evening so not super busy. We got to the table and I asked if we could move the table long-wise so my boyfriend and I could sit together - of course, she said or I can move you to a bigger table. We opted for the bigger table and it was perfect. We did sit a bit when waiting for our first drinks but then realized our waiter had the sommelier come over to our table so no big deal. The sommelier gave us a birthday wine tasting... I opted for the Sancerre and my boyfriend had Sequoia Cabernet. We ordered the Truffled Brie Baguette and Duck Spring Rolls to start. OK this brie bread is everything - so good. The spring rolls were served just how I like with lettuce and mint - the dipping sauce was a tiny bit too sweet and not pungent enough I thought but these were also really good! I couldn't decide between The American Burger and the Wagyu Bolognese - our waiter suggested the burger. So I ordered The American Burger and my boyfriend had the Filet Mignon with peppercorn sauce and Creamed Corn. This was a really good burger and will order it again for sure. The filet (cooked perfectly) and creamed corn also really yummy. I then had a glass of the Brut Rose and our waiter brought out a profiterole with ice cream and fudge with a little happy birthday chocolate on top for my boyfriend - he even lit a candle. It was the sweetest! The complementary desert was yummy - he ate it all. After, I had the BEST espresso martini in the lobby bar. So good. Had a great meal at Le Ame. Tuesday night and the place was packed. The staff is so professional, kind and happy. Our meal was delicious. We started off with the tuna carpaccio that was presented beautifully with a crumbling of egg white and a very tasty oil. The 10 oz filet mignon was very good as were the unusual sweet potatoes, (bite sized, caramelized with skins on) and brussels. It was a bday celebration so profiteroles were brought out. Had an amazing dining experience at Le Ame and will definitely be going back. Riley, our server, was amazing. He was attentive when needed and very personable. We started with their house salad and the crab cake. I normally don't order crab cakes because I make them myself pretty well but this one is one of the best I've ever had! Will be going back for the crab cake! There was little to no filler, all crabmeat and served with a light frisée salad and very tasty sauce. For the main course I ordered the Dover Sole and my husband ordered the King Crab Bucatini. The Dover Sole was good until I bit into some scales, which was odd since there wasn't any skin on the fish that I could see. A little heavy handed on the sautéed shallots on top but still a very good dish. The fish was cooked beautifully. The King Crab Bucatini was outstanding and I'll be ordering that the next time. The toasted bread crumbs on top provided the perfect amount of texture and the bucatini was cooked to perfection. The crab was sweet and juicy and the dish was seasoned nicely. Dessert was Crème Brûlée and the Toffee/Date cake. The custard wasn't as sweet as I've had in the past but certainly a nice change and very delicious. The Toffee/Date cake with toffee ice cream was really yummy! Definitely a keeper! Having never been there we asked for a booth in the bar area. Our mistake, the bar area is actually in the lobby of a hotel. So our table felt a little awkward in its location. Live and learn. Main dining room next time! Just celebrated with birthday brunch here. It was such a beautiful spot and the food and drinks were delicious. I made a reservation about a month in advance because I heard they fill up fast, but there seemed to be availability. I had the omelette and subbed frites- so so good. I also had one of the coffee drinks- it was ok. I had mine iced but the ice melted pretty quickly. They brought out a birthday treat at the end which was a nice touch too! Afterward we went to explore the grounds- they spared no detail at the global ambassador- and absolutely beautiful space. Can't wait to spend more time here! read more

I WILL RETURN FOR GILBERT ALONE! We were in town visiting friends and they recommended this restaurant. It was a Sunday night, so I wasn't expecting it to be busy but boy was I wrong. The place was quite busy, but our server Gilbert made sure to give us a very personalized experience. He recommended some amazing wines and I absolutely loved them all. The way he helped us course and split our meal was professional and innovative. He really went above and beyond to make us feel special on our Sunday night in Phoenix. The food was excellent. I truly believe it was the best French Onion Soup I have had and I've tried a few in Paris. The bread appetizer was a MUST HAVE. I will dock Gilbert because he only described the bread as his favorite starter, when he should have described it as ooey gooey warm deliciousness. While I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars I think it fell just shy. We are fans of all the Fox Concept restaurants, so had high expectations. The atmosphere was really fun and definitely a social spot towards the end of the week and weekend. Some of the items we absolutely loved, but others that we expected a little more from. The French Onion Soup was one of my favorites. We got the Duck Spring Rolls that were recommended by our server (who was awesome). They were fun because they were different, but not sure they are something we would order again. Both entrees were good, but not quite as delicious as some comparable Fox Concept favorites. Stopped in for a quick brunch on a lazy Saturday morning and this place was busy. Despite how many people were there it still felt cozy and had a great atmosphere. I loved the open kitchen setting. For food I got the pink dolphin burrito bowl and it was delicious. I kept hearing about this new beautiful hotel that opened up with great restaurants/bars inside. I was so excited to finally get a group of friends together and go see for myself! I made a reservation for a Sunday Brunch for 6 people, because I am sucker for great breakfast food. Luckily, one of the couples had already been here multiple times, and let us know that there is a parking garage right by the hotel and that the restaurant will validate the parking for the garage, so you don't have to valet. Which is great! However, this is my only complaint and the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars, getting into the parking garage and out, was a nightmare. Its a new fancy machine (not like the old ones that have worked perfectly fine forever) and trying to get a ticket for it, was impossible. The girl ahead of us was there forever, trying to get it to work, then when got up there, having probably the same issues, we just hit the help button and someone buzzed us in. The issue with just letting us get in with no ticket, we now had no ticket to validate to get out of the garage; we then had the same issue trying to leave. Needless to say, I will never deal with that again, and I will just pay for valet so I don't have to stress about it. Now to all the positive and yummy stuff! The hotel is absolutely beautiful! From the outside, to the inside. I love when I walk into a gorgeous hotel and feel like I am in Vegas or somewhere totally different than Arizona, and that's how it felt. There's tons of seating areas right when you walk in, a bar to the left and the restaurant Le Ame, ahead of that. Everything looked and felt upscale and everyone was very nice, from the hostess to our wonderful waiter, Clyde. The booth they sat our party of 6 in, was plenty spacious. Its a little noisy in the restaurant, but its a very busy place so that makes sense. I got a bloody mary, which was delicious, and pretty strong! Its rare I get any kinda buzz on a bloody mary but after two, i had one! My friend got the margarita and wow! One of the best margaritas ever, it was so incredibly fresh and light. I got the croque madame for my meal, and it was the BEST croque madame, I have ever had ! I will always get that if its available, so I have tried a lot of them and it was awesome. And plenty filling for me (and I can eat a lot!). My husband got the pastrami sandwich and he liked that as well, had a lot of pastrami on it! We also got some oysters as an appetizer and those were so fresh. Everyone at the table enjoyed there meals and drinks. I really dont think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. After our brunch, we headed upstairs to have a drink on the rooftop bar. You can not leave this hotel without going up there! Absolutely gorgeous views of the city and very spacious. We didn't want a table, but that is an option, we just headed to the bar outside to get a drink and get some photos. I got a frozen margarita up there and it was the PERFECT drink to sit outside in the sun. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to the day. I can't wait to come back and try dinner here! and wouldn't pass up brunch again either :) read more

My best friend and I came here to share our birthday dinner together as we have the same birthday. We at first didn't realize the restaurant was in a hotel but the ambience was such a vibe. We made a reservation and was immediately sat when we got there. The thing I love about this concept is that they have multiple bars and the restaurant in the lobby of the hotel. It was pretty busy for a Thursday night and we went a little late but they had all the options on the menu except for the crab dish that I was a little upset we weren't able to try. We started off with two cocktails from the menu, which were decent, but nothing special. We decided on some oysters and the French onion soup for a starter. The oysters were a little smaller but very tasty. The French onion soup was definitely the star of the show. We came here specifically for the soup and it definitely lived up to its expectations. We then tasted some wine, but I personally did not care for any. I do love that they had a sommelier to recommend and sample any wines. We ended up getting French martinis instead of wine which were a safe choice. For a main dishes we decided on the Wagyu Bolognese and the steak frites. The bolognese was decent, it could've used more sauce. I probably wouldn't recommend this dish. The steak frites on the other hand was AMAZING. My friend and I shared both dishes and we could not get enough of this dish. We also ordered a side of garlic aioli for the fries which took it to a whole other level . The server knew it was our birthdays, and he brought out two cream puffs with this amazing chocolate ganache sauce. Our experience here was definitely outstanding, and I would recommend coming here over any of the hyped up Scottsdale restaurants. I would not order that again. Wedge salad was good Bacon on it was fantastic. Steak Frites was good. Steak was a bit tough. Butter was good. The Profiteroles were great. The Creme Brulee was pretty average. Needed thicker crust, Vanilla was all bunched to the sides of the dish and if it was infused the vanilla didn't really come through that much and it lacked the contrast of hot and cold. Creme Brulee is my favorite desert and I'd give that one a 5/10. I'd probably order the profiteroles instead of it in the future. Service was perfect, decor was great. Just loud. read more

The hostess Maddie was very accommodating and so friendly as we had to switch the number in our party last minute. Our server Carolina was very kind, informative and provided excellent service all around. While dining we had a small issue with a large table next to us and Ella was so generous and understanding. She acknowledged our concerns and was soooo friendly. The food and staff certainly made us feel welcomed and we are eager to come back again. Now for the food - the best part! The French onion soup is truly the BEST we've ever had. It is a generous portion and full of flavor. We also enjoyed the tuna melt, which was so fresh and filling. The French dip was another hit. The sourdough was not as hard and the dip itself was packed with flavor- a must try! The food was really phenomenal! We had a party of 11 for brunch on a Sunday. Every single person in our group was happy with every single item. Some notable mentions were crab benedict, croque madame and cinnamon coffee cake muffin. *YUM* Reily, our server, was terrific! I even saw him hop in and help another server with a spillage. We popped in for a casual dinner since we were enamoured by the hotel driving by. This venue is so warm and inviting, you'll pass by their lobby bar in the way in which has live music and was very busy. We were promptly greeted, welcomed and seated. The I love the layout here, the tables are nicely spaced and you have plenty of room. Our server was very courteous and informative, I don't eat meat so we shared the fish options and some sides. The tuna carpaccio is probably one of the bests I've had in a while. The wedge isn't you're typical wedge, the dressing is more ressemblent of a blue cheese blended with ranch (which I preferred as blue cheese to me is too strong). Had a great experience at Le Ame, the anchor restaurant on the ground floor of the new Global Ambassador hotel at 44th & Camelback (there are other smaller restaurants on the ground floor of the hotel and a big rooftop restaurant also). Le Ame is beautiful, our server ("Sammie") was helpful and skilled, and the food was excellent. Our party of 3 was me and 2 work colleagues for a holiday lunch. Two of us went halfsies and split the tuna melt and also the bagel & lox - both were awesome. I've never seen a Jewish section on a gentile (i.e. non-deli) menu before. Loved it. I came here for brunch with two other adults and a baby in a stroller. First off let me start off by saying the restaurant is beautiful. Indoors and outdoors, you're immediately transported to a French bistro / European cafe. The outdoor patio was so nice and we chose to sit outdoors. We ordered coffees/lattes to start and although it took a while to get them, they were worth the wait. The cinnamon roll and pain au chocolat were delish. For our mains, we got the French dip, egg brioche sandwich, eggs Benedict which they were able to make with lox instead of ham, and a side of truffle fries. Food was spot on - the truffle dijonnaise sauce on the side of the fries was incredible. Food and ambiance wise, we could not have asked for a better experience. Unfortunately the one area that could have been better was our server. I'll chalk it up to maybe he was having a bad morning, but the vibes were just not there.
