Really enjoyed a birthday lunch here. We had a late resy for 2:30p just a few tables eating. I had brought a cake and they were really nice and kept it in back. We started with the charcuterie board which was very good but only 4 toast points, we got the bread basket to go with and got like 5 more slices of bread. Next for lunch they have a prix fix for appetizer and entree in smaller portions for $45 or you can order regular items off menu. I have heard so much about the Poulette Cajun I had to try and wasn't on prix fix. A guest of mine got the prix fix Caesar salad and Steak Panini. The salad was huge, very strong flavors of Caesar but very good. The steak panini was a half order but a good size. My other guest got the regular panini order and it was 2 big pieces and fries. They had very good mimosas and sparkling rose. The waiter was very nice and kept offering take pics of our table and sang with us and brought a sparkler with the cake and cut our cake for us. When you leave with to go food they have these cute cloth bags they give you to take food in. The Poulette was good but not "Cajun" by any means. I read it means a dry rub method is why they say Cajun. Was not spicy at all. We had a great bday dinner and really enjoyed our meal. I heard they have brunch and would love to try.

Went here with some friends for Easter brunch. They had a prefix menu, which was pretty limited, especially if you are a pescatarian or a vegetarian. However, we were really excited about the ambience and the experience. The Crudo was incredible as was the lyonnaise salad the bread basket reminded us of being back in France. Everybody really enjoyed their entrées, but my husband would give his fillet A4 versus five stars. I loved my French omelette as it was prepared perfectly. And our friends loved their signature Cajun chicken. Desserts were on point as well!. Service was kind of robotic and underwhelming for the price tag )$105pp) and on a holiday.

Finally, having time to catch another GREAT Chef's cuisine, to find on June 14th 2025, Noisette - owner Lillian (Chef Extraordinaire) is closing her doors. Last chance on Saturday. Today June 13th, it was a pleasure to walk into a very elegant, well designed Noisette, after reading incredible reviews. I met Lillian almost immediately, the news did not hit from her. Neither do I have a TV or read Westword, yet for a few moments Lillian graced me with some somber words: "It's the economy, (We guess) We can't stay in business past these 3 years!! What can we do to help local businesses and each other in horrific times? Support each other! Be Gracious as Lillian! My own tartine was a thick cut slice of some carby goodness. The pastries ran out so quickly though so we didn't get to snag any of it. And I'm not sure I'll get any before this spot closes in June. I'm super bummed because the place served a lot of cute vibes. If we had a bigger group of girls with us I'm sure we would've snapped everything for the 'gram or the tikky tom. The news of this spot closing also seemed to impact the staff; I felt that their energy was focused on serving us with a smile. Hopefully they find good safe landing spots.

Few hospitality experiences manage to operate like a perfectly wound Swiss timepiece while…read moresimultaneously enveloping you in the velvet warmth of an eccentric relative's living room, yet my recent two-night birthday escape to Denver achieved precisely this rare equilibrium. To dine at Chez Maggy and navigate the hospitality ecosystem of The Thompson Denver is to step into a meticulously curated cinematic universe where every gesture is deliberate, every color palette feels intentional, and human kindness is treated as the ultimate luxury asset. It is an environment where staff do not merely anticipate your desires; they dismantle the very need to harbor desires in the first place, operating on a frequency of predictive generosity that leaves one feeling delightfully disarmed. At the absolute epicenter of this symphonic choreography stand two incomparable individuals, Jason, the Food and Beverage Manager, and Bailey, an exceptional server whose presence turns a standard dinner service into an event of genuine human connection. Jason operates with the crisp, unflappable precision of a master conductor, moving through the bustling terrain of The Thompson with a quiet, elegant professionalism that anchors the entire operation. In an industry too often prone to transactional coldness, Jason possesses the rare and vintage gift of treating hospitality as a high art form rooted in absolute sincerity. Upon my arrival, he greeted me by name with a warmth so authentic it instantly erased the frantic static of travel. This was not the rehearsed familiarity of a corporate script, but the intentional, sharp memory of a true professional who understands that a person's name is the finest note in any conversation. Throughout the stay, his oversight of the food and beverage program manifested in a series of flawless iterations, ensuring that every detail was exact, every transition was seamless, and every guest felt singularly important. Jason does not simply manage a department; he curates an atmosphere of safety and sophisticated comfort, balancing a sharp, dignified executive presence with a deep, accessible kindness that elevates the entire hotel standard. Steps away at Chez Maggy, Bailey transforms the dining room into a theater of radical hospitality, offering a masterclass in service that goes far beneath the surface of menus and silverware. Bailey is quite frankly exceptional, possessing a luminous energy and a sharp, witty intellect that commands immediate affection. What elevates Bailey from a brilliant server to an unforgettable human being is a profound capacity for empathy, delivered through the sharing of an awesome lived experience that instantly bridges the gap between stranger and friend. Rather than maintaining the rigid, invisible wall so common in upscale dining, Bailey engages with a rich, textured perspective on life that mirrors our own complexities, validating our shared human journeys with effortless grace. This unique willingness to connect on a soulful level creates an immediate sense of home, wrapping the table in a cozy, familiar embrace that makes you forget you are sitting in a public restaurant. Bailey reads the emotional landscape of a table with astonishing accuracy, dishing out comfort, laughter, and brilliant recommendations in equal, perfectly timed portions. Together, Jason and Bailey represent the absolute pinnacle of what modern luxury should aspire to be, proving that the most memorable aspect of any journey is never the brick and mortar, but the remarkable people who inhabit it. Their combined kindness, paired with an uncanny ability to anticipate every unspoken whim before it even materializes as a thought, transformed this birthday celebration into a masterpiece of joy. To find one individual who remembers your name and treats your presence as an honor is a stroke of luck; to find two within the same establishment who make you feel deeply understood and completely at home is an absolute triumph of hospitality. For anyone seeking an escape defined by clever sophistication, brilliant conversation, and a level of care that feels both deeply nostalgic and entirely refreshing, look no further than the unparalleled team of Jason and Bailey at The Thompson and Chez Maggy.

For instance, the steak frites was not available to order for dinner but available for lunch and the weekend brunch. Also, they took the pancakes off the brunch menu which to me is criminal -- but they have it available for weekday breakfasts. I don't know, to me these seemed like unnecessary changes, and as somebody who booked this hotel specifically to enjoy these menu items at this restaurant, I just felt disappointed. Highlights for me where the hamachi and the beef tartare at dinner; the avocado toast has a very weird taste profile with the pickled carrots so I would stay away from that if you like classic avocado toast.

The interior of the restaurant is very cute and they have interesting restrooms. Espresso machine was not working so no milk or espresso drinks offered - not sure why that wasn't a priority to get up and running before opening for brunch. The reason for the one star review is that the food took over an hour to arrive to our group. The waitress explained that the kitchen was understaffed and everyone came in at once, but honestly it was still upsetting and frustrating. We ordered the French toast, venison tartine, and the mushroom crepe. Everything tasted good actually BUT after the hour wait for our food, we found a hair in our venison tartine. They did get another one out to us fast but just another problem found after the insane wait for the food. In the end, they did what they could with regards to the bill and apologized profusely for all the issues, but I do feel like the restaurant has some improvements to make as far as staffing and time/guest management. I would just warn you to not come during a busy time until the restaurant becomes more established.
