You guys, I've tried so much banh mi in my life all the way from America to Southeast Asia, and y'all, their cold cut (OG) banh mi is by my favorite I've ever had! Yummy, fresh, healthy. Eat at Le Bleu!!! We went early- 6ish and were the only ones there for a while. The staff was attentive and friendly (but no too friendly- I appreciate that!). I got the tofu bun, my date got the pork. My tofu was served with a vegan sauce. I requested the regular sauce as well- both were really good! I've been eating here since the Dang Bahn Mi shop wasin this location. I don't live, or work in that part of town anymore and drive in almost weekly to grab a pork bahn mi. They are delicious! Everything tastes fresh, the flavors are unbeatable and every time I am left oh-so satisfied. Down to the packaging, they've got it right. Last week, on my birthday, I drove 40 miles one way just to pick up my favorite sandwich and to try the viet-cajun crawfish for the first time with mushrooms--the crawfish were huge and it was tasty! If that doesn't tell you its worth it, I don't know what will! The mango salad is a knockout. I also enjoyed the shrimp noodles and well-fried chicken wings. Their sandwiches could use just a little more mayonnaise, but that's a personal preference. The vermicelli noodles have really nice fresh crisp vegetables. You can tell that they take pride in their food here. Excellent value for what you're getting. read more

I'm a tad bit speechless. To sum it up. Fresh. Good. Consistent. Fairly priced and authentic. I've been to Southeast Asia and this is authentic yet a fusion flair in some elements. The mango strands in the banh mi is a very unique touch. I like they don't shred cucumber but use it in a wedge form and eclectic things from your usual Pho place such as lamb offering in banh mi make it amazing! The baby octopus skewers were out of this world. Good hint of spice and taste and cooked to perfection. Most skewers are bite size, most. Then spring rolls and eggplant equally good. I got 4 things for 35 bucks. That honestly for the freshness and quality was fair. I got to say I'll be coming over and over and telling everybody I know. What a place! They deserve the fame with the newspaper article, Austin is lucky to have Le Bleu! Only slight addition to make it more than perfect is if they had a dry chili paste but hey can't have it all. read more

We've probably visited more than half a dozen times and never had a disappointment. It's the kind of place where you want to work your way through the entire menu but remember the wonderful dish you ordered on your last visit and want that again. Favorites are the shaking beef and the crispy shrimp when I'm feeling indulgent or the tofu seitan when trying to eat less meat. Whether in bun or banh mi, these dishes are delicious. We are so happy we found this place!! The food is outstanding...we really haven't ordered anything we didn't like a lot, and we keep trying different things! We think it's fun to get a bunch of different small bites and a couple main items. Their mango salad and brussel sprouts are a must, they are awesome! Can't go wrong with the summer rolls, chicken nuggets, shrimp skewers, or egg rolls either! I usually get the OG banh mi, or the grilled pork bun for the main, my wife gets the garlic butter prawn banh mi. Their OG Banh mi is really good, and one of my favorites in Austin. The vermicelli bowls are pretty good also and very filling. The eggplant pot dish is also good, it's similar to the Chinese version I've had elsewhere but Le Bleu's has some additional flavor depth from the spices. read more

Delicious, delicious! Ordered (3) Banh Mi's: Tofu, Pork, Steak, and the spring rolls. The only complaint was biting into a spicy jalapeño (wah..) The rolls and the veggies on the Banh Mi's we're so fresh. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls has just the right bite. Pick up was easy--I ordered from the parking lot and waited about 20min. You will not find customer service here. We called and asked to reserve table for group of 10 ppl. When we arrived, the staff pointed to a long booth by the door. Really(?) we took the long table at last. I order shrimp bum which is deep fried shrimp. I poured their sauce and it was way too spicy for me.Then I switched with my husband who had Pork banh mi with added on avocado,it's also way too spicy with jalapeños in it(!) there was a whole jalapeño in the sandwich. Even my friend had an unusual spicy pho. I asked if their dishes are all spicy.. the staff said yes unless you request no spicy(???) I think they should put spicy symbol and mentioned that in the menu. I then had to back order a pho gu which she said that it'd took 15mins to make it..because they didn't make large pot of broth(?) I asked no spicy.. it was watery plain when it come out. I understand restaurant nowaday think it is "fusion" to "invented" their own version of cuisine..you just totally lost the real taste of it! read more

We happened to stumble upon this establishment. This is a cozy little place. You have to walk up to order your food. There is your basic Vietnamese sandwiches and noodles. It wasn't bad but it didn't knock my socks off. The food is pricier than I expected, $8.00 for a pork sandwich and for $2.00 more you can add a fried egg. It's not that I wouldn't recommend this place, but if you have a hankering for Vietnamese sandwiches and don't mind the high prices....go for it. read more

Solid food, great flavors. They generally have the same proteins available on both bun and banh mi, but I prefer the sandwiches. The bread they use for the banh mi is fresh and I highly recommend the grilled pork banh mi (it's a pretty solid one given there isn't much competition if you're in the neighborhood). Their shaken steak is good too and I personally like the garlic butter prawns, but the flavors are definitely not as bold as their other proteins. Love nearly all the apps and especially the mango salad and Brussels sprouts. Chicken nuggets are good, and I would get them over the wings - the wing sauce wasn't bad, but it is on the thinner side and I find it doesn't coat the wings well. So I would skip unless you prefer a thinner, less sticky sauce because the wings were just average without them. Definitely remember to wash it all down with a Vietnamese coffee. Will absolutely be returning for the dinner menu to check it out. read more

I checked out Le Blue on a recommendation and was not let down. We visited their new location off of 183 in N. Austin. The current menu was limited so my wife and I wanted to try a variety of dishes. The food was amazing. What made it amazing was the freshness of ingredients, the pop of the flavors, and the portions provided. I also had the Vietnamese coffee and it blew my socks off. Very disappointed in this restaurants customer service. Looks at the great reviews and wanted to give this place a try, was unable to find a kids menu online. Called and asked. Spoke with manager. The manager on the phone was unwilling to accommodate any option for a kids portion, using the excuse that they have only been open a month and she has no button for that sort of option. Before opening, you should think to accommodate kids as well, not an excuse. In the area you are located and the city you are in, this attitude will not work in your favor, and neither will not accommodating to kid portions. Very disappointed. read more

I am french (sorry about that) and I have been in Vietnam. This is different. You can taste the passion both cultures have about food mixed with the chef's will to innovate and explore.
