One of my favorite spots. Sometimes we go 2 or 3 times a week! The Vietnamese iced coffee is a must to start. Love that they have a combo option where you can get a bowl of pho and half of a sandwich because you really can't go without getting something on that delicious bread! The pork bahn mi is definitely the way to go and my favorite of all the restaurants around. The pho is great too although Pho Bac may have the edge on them there. I've heard a lot said about this place! It definitely met my expectations, while not blowing them away. First thing to note is that the bread is consistently great--light and fresh-tasting, yet has enough chew where it's not so fluffy to the point of just disintegrating like foam. I tried two different meats, the special blend and the pork. I wasn't too big on the special as I didn't get much flavor out of it, but the pork was something special. Actually haven't eaten the sandwiches here yet (I know, weird..) because I've fallen in love with the spring rolls!!! Love, love the tofu one. This isn't the tiny fried ones you get at a chinese buffet, these are the legit clear wrapped ones. They're HUGE, and with some rice on the side I can make this appetizer alone a meal. Fast, Cheap, and on point Vietnamese food! Bahn Mi to go for under 3 bucks? Best deal ever I'd say. Dining in? Get the Combo you get a big bowl of soup (such as pho) and half a bahn mi for under 8 bucks. All I can say is this is my go to spot if I want a taste of home without blowing all my money. First of all, the food here is good. The sandwiches are good and so is the pho. Our service every time has been abominable. TERRIBLE. It was so bad the last time we went that me and my fiance vowed to never dine in again. We always have to wait at the door awkwardly for someone to sit us. Usually takes about 10 minutes before anyone made time to sit us. We always get this asian server who just sucked at his job. The last time that I was there, I ordered a sandwich and then wanted to add another dish. The server said I couldn't order it because the kitchen was about to close. This place closes at 8PM. I attempted to place that order at 6:45PM. It was a rice dish. What kind of bullshit excuse is that? My fiance after finishing his sandwich, attempted to order a pho. The asian server seemed pissed that we wanted to place another order and rolled his eyes and walked off before my fiance even finished talking. The pho, in turn, took another 25 minutes to arrive. We also placed an order for a taro smoothie at the beginning of the meal. Needless to say, we didn't get it--THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE EATING. Then we finally had to go up to the cashier when we were paying our bill to tell the lady there that we had ordered a taro smoothie. She apologetically made it for us. Apparently the server didn't think our taro smoothie was important enough for him to ring it in. Along with my rice dish that I wasn't "allowed" to order. I will never eat in again. Ever. Lee's Bakery has just lost a dine in customer. If anyone wants to enjoy great Vietnamese sandwiches. Just get them to go. You will thank me. Just skip the whole dine in experience because it will ruin your night. P.S. We found another Vietnamese place with Pho and sandwiches, it's called Pho 24. About a mile down from Lee's Bakery. It's open 24 hours and service has always been prompt. Even for a Buford Highway hole in the wall restaurant. We will be going there instead where the servers don't act like they are too good to be helping you. read more

Bad service. Half noodle half soup only gives two bits of noodles...and that's not exaggeration. I am a 100 pound girl and it left me hungry. Owner will charge you for more noodle even though they gave you none for what you paid for. Best banh mi period. Super cheap sandwiches with perfect balance of ingredients. If you order 5 they are $2 a piece. The pork sandwich is my favorite but the tofu and chicken are so good too. The French bread is crusty and soft and baked fresh. Fish sauce mayo is really hard to perfect, but they did it. I love their chicken salad as well. It is a green salad with lots of fresh veggies and crunch with herbs mixed in. The dressing is water based and surprisingly light and refreshing without weighing the greens down. The pho is really good too, not the best but tasty. Fried egg rolls are always a crowd pleaser but I think nam phuong has the best egg rolls and fish sauce so I'm biased. I've ordered the lemongrass chicken a couple times and sometimes it's delicious and sometimes it's too lemongrassy or too sweet but I love the pickled veggies it comes with so I keep ordering lol. Seating is busy sometimes which is a good sign and you may share a table with other people but it is cheap and fast. I recommend Lees bakery to everyone I meet. I drive 20 min for a $2.50 sandwich, it's got to be good right. read more

I love this place! Let me start off by saying when you walk in you don't think much of it. They don't have all the bells and whistles of a typical restaurant. What they do have though is awesome food. The pho is insanely good and won't break the bank at all. You get a huge portion that you could probably split between 2 people. The Bahn Mi is also fantastic they have some of the freshest, softest bread I've ever had. It's in a shabby plaza with poor hygiene! Their vegan Bahn mi is really good, quality of Pho is bad. They cut their veggies too big so it's not a very enjoyable meal. The broth is not very flavorful either. The place is over rated but you can try it ONLY for sandwich. read more

The grilled pork sandwiches are absolutely incredible....especially because they're only $2.50 (take out) $3 (dine in). I lived in California for a number of years and the sandwiches there are a staple, so I know what I'm talking about. Their noodle bowls are excellent as well. Just be warned, this place gets packed so I would definitely try to go before or after the lunch rush, unless you're getting take out. I was tempted to give 3 stars overall because the service in not very good when dining in, but the food trumps all of that. You're not going there for the service anyway so it doesn't matter.
