My memories of the food at Lee's were so much better than reality! I've had their coffee a few times a year, but skipped the sandwiches, until they opened a store nearby. I ordered on the app, which was pretty streamlined. The food was ready when I got there. Everything was looking like five stars, until I ate. In one word: mediocre. I had the Bbq pork (#6) and spring rolls. While the sandwich looked great, it tasted like nothing. I though the jalapeño was fake because there was so little spice. The meat was flavorless and bland -- it could pass as fake meat! The bread was ok. Spring rolls were below average and the peanut sauce was off. At $5-6 they're small. Vietnamese coffee -- excellent!!! How the get the mouthfeel is a mystery... maybe cream or half n half?? I'll be back for the coffee. While THH has gone downhill since Covid, it's the same price and the food is better. Sandwiches have chunks of tasty meat, the bread is better, and they serve three good sized spring rolls for a fraction more, instead of two. The coffee is almost as good. Ok, maybe not. read more

This shop just opened last month and I was surprised to see that they only had 3 stars on Yelp. As a new location, you'd think they would have their A-game on. I was also surprised to see the comments about the bread and meats not being fresh. Our go-to sandwich is the #6 BBQ Pork. I ordered 4 of them tonight for the fam and they did not disappoint! The meat was delicious, and the veggies just brings everything together! It's our FAVE!! We also ordered a baguette since some reviews mentioned that they were old and hard, so we wanted to give it a try and see for ourselves. The bread was nice and warm when we got it, and it was so fresh. *I'm not sure the neon "Hot Baguettes Now" light in the window is used like the one at Krispy Kreme when they have fresh, hot donuts --- because that baguette light is always on. So you might just need to ask if the bread is fresh. We have only been to this location a couple of times, and each time our sandwiches were delicious. Customer service could use a little upgrade. But even without the pleasantries, we'll still be back for our favorite #6 sandwich. read more

Great incentives!!! Yummy #4 Coffee and egg rolls! Parking isn't the best but this might be the best location I've been to. It was hot and fresh and I had to stop and eat rather than take it to go. So disappointed with the food we ordered through DoorDash, I had to leave a review here too. All I asked for on my combination banh mi was no jalapeños. They decided to also not give me any cilantro even though that's not what I'd asked. My girlfriend ordered a grilled pork banh mi and she's a lot pickier so she ordered it with no onions, pickles, or jalapeños. They pretty much just gave her meat on bread. There was no daikon lettuce or any of the carrots like she was expecting. The caramel frappe was a total disaster. I didn't think anyone could screw up a drink this bad. First off, it's not blended like you'd expect and it's so sugary, I might as well have gotten sugar from the pantry and started eating it. So disgustingly syrupy and sweet. I want an entire refund on my order but judging by the reviews, this place wouldn't comply with that anyway. If you guys are looking for better banh mi sandwiches, I'd make the trip out to Long Beach. There are shops there that are run by nice Chinese Cambodians and they make better sandwiches. If I could give negative stars I would. The food even though its a chain franchise SUCKS here. Very stingy with the mean quantity. The boba... sucks. I have gotten a few Thai tea bobas because I love Lee's version but the boba pearls are always clumped together like HUGE gelatin balls that I obviously cannot suck thru a straw. Brand new location in the Target shopping center. The parking lot is very congested with the other businesses so have some patience with finding parking on a busy evening. The shop itself is pretty small. There isn't much room for dine in. The food is good as always. If you are not a fan of spicy stuff, be sure to ask for your sandwich without the jalapeño because it can get really spicy. You cannot go wrong with taking home a fresh out of the oven baguette. If you haven't tried the iced coffee then what are you doing with your life? That will have you WIRED for hours! Service was a bit slow as the employees are still being trained. I ordered a vegetarian banmi. As I eat a few bites, there's a distinct stale taste. I advised Quan, the server and she first informs me that's how they make it. Then she informs me they don't do refunds and left it at that. No apologies or anything. Now I understand that a vegetarian sandwich may not be a popular choice, hence the stale tofu. But as a restaurant , it seems rather important to serve fresh food, no? Guess not. I threw away the banmi. Feeling hungry and miffed, I asked to speak to the manager. Our go-to order is a grilled port ban mi and a combo on baguette. We usually grab an order of egg rolls and a baguette or two for later. Bread is usually hot and fresh. The sandwiches are not huge monsters like you get at a deli, but they are enough for lunch. They are out of items sometimes.
