On a corner nearby, here was Okka. I have seen positive reviews for their iced coffee, but didn't want to overload myself with caffeine (yet), so I ordered an iced matcha. I am pleasantly surprised! I tend to dislike a good portion of the iced matchas I drink because they often taste like milk. This wasn't too strong, but was still a pretty well balanced drink. I asked for a baklava, which unfortunately they had sold out of as of 3:45pm, when suddenly a voice in the back yelled out to try their plain or chocolate croissants as they make them in house daily. Consider me convinced. The result was a lovely warmed plain croissant. Crispy, flakey, soft, and most importantly WARMED. Nothing I love more than a shop that warms their pastries without you asking!
