I can remember going here during lunch at high school. Double the price and you still have the same quality they had back then.

For reference, at least on the game day Saturday we went, appetizers are not available on the lunch menu and are available only after 4:00 PM. Otherwise, good burger place, chicken sandwich was also acceptable to my picky kid. Typical dark hotel restaurant sports bar vibe, but still kid friendly at least during lunch.

Instead, my colleague and I decided to grab lunch at the Brewhouse Historical Sports bar inside the Hyatt. The Brewhouse Historical Sports bar had plenty of table seating, booth seating, and a large bartop. The restaurant celebrates St. Louis sport's history. It has a ton of TVs inside the restaurant which allows for different sports to be played on a variety of TVs. This restaurant has 60-70 locally produced brews. Some of these brews are lagers to regional microbrew favorites. If you're unsure what to pick out, you can even get a flight of local selections! The food offered during the lunch was relatively limited. The menu had burgers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and a few different sides. The service was fantastic here though! The team member that was assisting our table brought out waters and the menu to our table. Looking over the menu, my colleague ordered the Southwest Grain Bowl. I wasn't too hungry, and ended up ordering a plain cheeseburger with a fruit cup, as well as a side of their white cheddar Mac n Cheese! The service was great and fast! We had entered the restaurant around 12:15. We ended up getting our meal around 12:35 after seating and placing our order. My cheeseburger was good. The fruit was some sliced melon, pineapple and a few other fruit selection. My favorite was the mac n cheese though. There was so much cheese and it was quite flavorful! My colleague enjoyed his Southwest Grain Bowl. The food was great here and the service was outstanding! I'm not sure when the next time I'll be back to St. Louis, but if I'm looking for another Sports bar in the area, I'd stop back here again!

I had to visit Blues City as I heard they have great Po Boys...and they do. I am used to having oysters or shrimp on a Po Boy. Not here. They are basically served with many versions of meat. I had the Benton Park Po Boy and it was incredible. The sandwich has ham, roast beef, turkey, provel, and is dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, pepperoncini, sweet red pepper sauce on french bread. My wife, being vegetarian had the Panino Fresco. It included mozzarella, provolone, dressed with homemade olive salad, tomato, onion & Italian vinegar oil on an Italian roll. This was the first time in 26 years that she finished the entire sandwich. I had a bite of hers, and it is easy to see why she she finished it. So good. I even bought a memorable t-shirt as I loved Blues City Deli. The female counter person was so friendly. She even wrote down three other restaurants to try while we were visiting St Louis. Blues City Deli is a can't miss place and if we are back in St. Louis...we will be back.

I had never been to this downtown location and I was concerned about parking once I got there but decided to give it a go. I ended up parking at the top of the block 1/2 in a space and 1/2 in front of a hydrant. I dashed in and thankfully once I spotted the shelf the order was there and ready. I grabbed in and dashed back to the car. If I had to be here any length of time though this wouldn't have worked and there would have been nowhere to park on the whole block even for just 2 minutes. That said my order, a veggie sandwich add bacon came out correct even with lots of customizing. My pickle was delicious and perfectly quartered as requested. I'd obviously go back but I'd have to think twice about it due to the parking situation!

They offer a variety of hot food items as well as beverages, prepared sandwiches and salads, and pre-packaged snacks. Coming to St. Louis and not having Toasted Ravioli is a crime in my opinion, so I was happy to see that they had included this regional staple on their menu. I had planned on ordering some. Unfortunately, I saw a sign posted stating that they do not offer any of the hot food items to-go, and they were being served on reusable, acrylic plates. There was a woman there complaining that she'd purchased $20 barbecue ribs and couldn't take her leftovers to-go because they have no packaging available for that. She was upset, but the sign was clearly posted. I grabbed overpriced chips and a Minute Maid apple juice that cost me $8.25. Definitely "tourist attraction" pricing. The cashier was nice and provided fast service, so it was an overall good experience.
