For a fast food place, it's not bad. We got take out via the mobile app. They had the food ready at the time we specified, and it was hot. A lot of places make the food too early, and then you're picking up cold, soggy food. We got the 4 piece meal that comes with bread, slaw, fries, and the chicken. I mean, it's certainly not upscale food, but it was pretty decent. The sauce is finger licking good. The tenders could have been bigger, but my scale says they were big enough. I use to come here a lot and at different times during the day, and I just don't go as much as I use to. The food hits EVERY TIME, but the service just doesn't make it worth it. At first there was always to much ice in the soft drinks, and it would be done purposely. Then I would walk in to say my name for large online orders and the staff would look at me as if I was stupid and just to grab it off the shelf. Other times the staff acts is they can't hear me when I'm ordering and starts yelling at me through the ordering speaker. Like..... ok. All the staff was super friendly as soon as you walk in. They greet you and ask how they can help you I received my order in under five minutes extremely hot and fresh with extra cane sauce like I requested. The drive thru lines are typically very long, though if they're short enough and if I'm craving Cane's enough I'll stop by for a two-piece kids meal and an extra texas toast. It doesn't get much simpler than the Raising Cane's food menu: lightly breaded chicken fingers, crinkle cut (but otherwise plain) fries, coleslaw, buttery, baguette-stlye Texas Toast and Cane's Sauce, a spiced ketchup/mayo hybrid. Chicken breast sandwich? Nope. Barbecue sauce or honey mustard for dipping? Not as far as I can tell. Ask for a Pepsi and be prepared to reply with which kind of Coke you'd like (they also serve tea and lemonade). It all rides on the pleasure that is a freshly prepared chicken finger. It's not uncommon for drive-thru lines here to wrap around to the restaurant's parking lot + drive-thru entrance on Gratiot, but that's only a 5-10 minute wait on a normal night. Service may not be as overtly friendly as Chick-fil-a, but they're pleasant and surprisingly quick. Somehow, they seem to keep the combos just-out-of-the-fryer hot. App-based ordering is an option but, with such a straightforward menu, it's also easy enough to order at the restaurant. The main choices to make? How many tenders would you like; whether you'd like to take advantage of the substitutability of the sides in a combo ("Coleslaw, fries and toast can be substituted for one another, or an extra Cane's Sauce" -- Raising Cane's menu); do you try to drive home with the meal or just pull onto the lot for an impromptu tailgate. read more
