    Singapore Fried Rice Noodles
    Carlo G.

Mom n Pop Singaporean restaurant with great food and good prices! My favorite dish was the Singaporean Fried Rice Noodles with was savory and meaty. Loved the salty scrambled eggs bits in it. It also comes with chili oil which is a must and you can ask for more upon request. I also got the Singaporean Style Laksa which was good, but I wish it were thicker and more flavorful. Still good though and I liked the fried tofu which soaked up all the flavor and butterfly shrimp in it. The portions are big and good for sharing. Each dish was around $16 each which is such a great price for what you get. Definitely worth checking out!

My mentor (aka former work mom) lives in this area and takes me to these lovely little neighborhood restaurants. Sadly, many have low reviews which I just cannot understand. My mentor is a fantastic cook so she is really picky about eating out. The squid noodles - simple yet delicious. One of the best stir fried noodles I have ever had. The wok flavor was strong and you can tell the chef knows what he is doing. The squid is cooked just right. Laksa was really good though this is not one of mg favorite dishes to begin with. The lemongrass chicken chop was outstanding. I have no idea how he got so much flavor and kept the chicken juicy but slightly crisp on the outside. The red bean was also excellent! The service was very good though that doesn't matter to me. The chef has been cooking for decades and it shows. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Always a great meal here!! All dishes are cooked perfectly and on point with flavor, texture and all aspects!!! Their all star special Singaporean Rice Noodle is an absolute must have. Other than this dish, all their other dishes are all also very tasty and on point with flavors and wok-hay. By the way, their HK milk tea, lemon tea, and red bean drinks are all also excellent here!!!

overall great! Vibe: very low key mom & pop kind of place. we were there 1st customers on a Saturday around 11:30a...or so. then people started trickling in and also some To Go orders. Food: Their Singapore noodle was yummy, no curry and not spicy. Awesome for the kids. Beef and gailan dish with white rice was yummy too salt & Spicy fish fillet was great! they have their own sauce mix - tasted like XO sauce with a little bit of ground pork & sliced jalapeños. We ate the whole thing because it was yummy and fried food isn't the same the next day Will come for the fish fillet and noodle again.

After 30 plus years this place is still here!!!!!!. I remember coming here after high school for a red bean ice with ice cream ;). My go to: I love the Singaporean rice noodle dish. It's one of the best around: rice noodle texture is on point, not oily, seasoned perfectly, great meat to noodle ratio... highly recommend this if you come here. I recently tried a noodle soup for the first time: preserved vegetable and pork. Great flavor!!! How do you get the rice noodle texture so perfectly snappy?? Soup is rich in flavor too. The service is great, small businesses deserve so much more appreciation! The setting has not changed much since the 90s, I feel like the decor and furniture are all the same, bringing back fond memories , it's comforting to know you are still here after so many years!

This OG place used to be my favorite Laksa in town. I havent been there in a while and was a bit dissapointed today. The Laksa soup was a bit watery and it tasted flat. I'm wondering if they change the Chef perhaps? The Fried rice noodles was still the same. It had an excellent flavor. Service was quick and efficient. I hope they'll bring the same to their Laksa.

We had lunch here today with a party of six. It was not busy. We were seating quickly. The restaurant is small. The cuisine is Singapore style , but not too spicy. The place looked clean. The food came out quickly. The person who ordered the Portuguese sauce ox tongue said it lacked flavor and any vegetables with the dish. It was not very tender. The Panang Curry was a bit spicy, but tasted fine. Do order: Spicy Chicken Wings and the Special Chili Filet Fish. The other dishes were good, but not great. Rating: 3 Stars.

A restaurant ive passed by a thousand times , but never went in. Uncertain why, but if it has lasted 20+ years in the SGV, a highly competitive asian foodie environment , theres gotta be a reason. That reason was the Singapore noodle which was recommended by a friend. Otherwise, this joint may have remained off my radar. Over the past few decades, ive eaten Singapore noodle at perhaps 10+ different venues. However, none tasted quite like this. First, the noodles. Texture was fluffy, light, and not over cooked...almost al dente-ish. Then the shrimp, had a slight crunch to it that complimented the noodle. Add a bit of black vinegar, and one has an amazingly balanced and delicious dish. It was so good, we returned the next weekend to order for a party. What were our guests response? Outstanding! Decor & service? Definitely an old school Monterey Park vibe which I really dig, as i like to reminisce lol. Server was very pleasant, dood came out almost instantly. Would recommend!

It's has been for over a decade I've occasionally going to Litz. Old classic southern eastern Asian cuisine!!! They are popular for Larka, satays, sautéed beef stews, and the most signature of Singapore rich noodles vermicelli... They have Hams, Eggs, Squids, and especially adding home make Malaysian paste.... And eat with home made chili oil sauce!!! Plus I've a grass jelly ice drink since I was thirsty !! Services was ok alright, and still very old fashion designed environment.... The only thing I had the rice noodles that might taste a little lighter than used to be.... Could be more tasteful...

Stopped by here because I was craving Singapore rice noodles. It's located at the corner of Lincoln and Garvey. The portions are pretty decent, there's a lot more rice noodles to egg, squid, shrimp and octopus but I prefer that. I love noodles lol. I thought there would be bigger pieces of squid and octopus or other vegetables, but there wasn't a lot of toppings, still decent though. The flavor and taste was good. Shanna was sweet and you can Venmo her to pay.

Right at the opening of downtown Monterey park. Nice small restaurant in the corner. I used to come here all the time when I was a little kid. Very happy that it's still exactly the same. The ladies who work here are super nice and friendly. My favorite dishes to get are Singapore fried rice noodles, baked pork chop rice, and sausage fried macaroni. Also very important! Make sure to ask for their chili oil! It is a game changer! You can thank me later lol

Highly recommend! The restaurant is extremely clean and the staff is very attentive and welcoming. They food comes out pretty quick and is all very tasty. The portion sizes are really big. Seems like lots of take out orders (on Uber I think). Of note they only take credit card if $40+.

Kung pao fish and beef chow fun with gravy

Recently visited here two different Saturday afternoons to dine in for lunch with family and friends. No wait for seating both times. The restaurant seems to specialize in Chinese Singaporean style dishes. Today we had the Singapore noodles, kung pao fish, stir fry vegetables with bean curd sauce, beef chow fun with gravy, and baked Portuguese sauce chicken rice. We were disappointed that the mixed green bean curd sauce vegetable was just stir fried iceburg lettuce. Singapore noodles were good. The kung pao fish was ok but kind of salty. The baked chicken rice had good flavor and the beef chow fun in gravy was also tasty. We ordered lemon iced tea and iced milk tea and later realized they were $5 each. Free refills of the lemon iced tea but not for the milk tea. We won't order drinks here next time. Most cafes around here offer reduced drink prices with lunch entrees. The service was ok. They refilled my iced tea quickly. The dishes took a while to come out after ordering and the restaurant wasn't even that busy.

Ordered the potstickers, the spicy wontons, the beef noodle soup, and then jiajiang noodles. In order of preference, it is the spicy wontons, the jiajiang noodles, the potstickers, and then the beef noodle soup. What they got right with the spicy wontons was the sauce - spiced, kinda spicy, sour, and also sweet. I could use that sauce on everything. The jiajiang noodles was just a good combo of cool from the cucumbers and the noodles and minced meat were good. The beef noodle soup was fine but I think the soup could've packed a bigger punch. It felt almost watered down but I say the piece of beef were great. Overall, the meal came out to around $65 and it is pretty standard now but $13 for 8 wontons or 8 potstickers just feels a bit nuts still. Overall though, it was a solid meal and I'd recommend coming
