The food was absolutely amazing quality as per usual, service staff had it coming out extremely fast and I never felt like there was a lull between courses and was always something to cook, the all you can drink juice is amazing by the way if you're not much of a drinker this is a must have for everyone at the table, it was a lot cooler inside considering where we were sitting which helped a lot considering this place does run a little warm when all the burners are on. I ordered the following broths Pork bone chicken broth Coconut Water Chicken Broth Broth: You can definitely taste the difference amongst them. The coconut one was definitely more sweeter and a little weird. The pork spare rib one was slightly saltier. But the pork spare rib one was definitely the tastiest amongst them. The pork spare rib had spare ribs in it and the coconut chicken one had quite a few chicken parts in it. It was a good touch. Food quality: They had a good selection of meats, not that many seafoods and only a few selections of vegetables. A number of the meat choices were not that good quality. Sauce: They had a good amount of sauce choices and dry ingredients. Service: It was ok, nowhere near as good as Haidilao. Price: They charge you for all you can eat and then they charge you separate for the broths. Pretty stupid. 99 favor taste is definitely better in this regard. Covid Safety: Pretty much no social distancing at all. Everyone is pretty much packed like sardines. Definitely nowhere near as good as Haidilao or xiang 37 in this regard. Overall: It's ok. Tried to make a reservation for 3 on a Friday night & they didn't allow for it, which is okay. We came around 7:50 pm and put our name on the waitlist. 5 parties were ahead of us, and we ended up waiting around 37 minutes. One of the good things about Liuyishou is that they allow for multiple soup bases. I always love trying the soups, so this was perfect! We decided on the pork rib herbal (one of our hotpot go tos) & the braised duck (after reading all the reviews). The braised duck soup is very unique - you definitely taste the pickle in it and it's sour - FYI for those who dislike sour things. The pork rib soup was good - not the most flavorful, but there was a hint of the herbal mix in it. I was pretty satisfied with both soups. Sauce bar is decent, but the soy sauce is SUPER salty. I was a bit thrown off by how salty it was, and ended up remaking my sauce. The selection is definitely varied enough though to make your favorite custom sauce. Fruits & mini apps are also available at the sauce bar. The food selection here is also decent - there's some of the good hotpot basics but it's not super extensive. I wish there were more green leafy vegetable options. A lot of it was root veggies or the other hotpot staples (corn, wintermelon, yams, etc). Spinach or pea shoots would have been nice. The shrimp paste here is one of the better ones - definitely recommend this. However, I'd skip the "wide clear noodle". I was expecting like mung bean noodles, but this was far from that. Overall, a decent AYCE hotpot ($30 pp + soup base charge). Check in on yelp for a free soda! I'm still debating on whether I'd come back - probably will, but definitely not my go to spot. I loved this place! One of the best hotpot spots I've been to!! You can get upto 3 different bases and the bring the food pretty quick. There is also a small booth on the side where you can make your own sauce, grab appetizer/deserts and get water/iced tea. Its all you can eat hotpot under 2 hours. For the price it's really good! The meat was very tender and juicy, if you're not sure how long to cook it for, there is a menu that shows you how long to cook different food. I personally loved the tomato base and the spicy base. They go really well with beef and seafood. The service was also great! They come check on you to make sure everything is going great very often. The place does get pretty busy on the weekends and they normally don't take reservations unless you bring a lot of people! read more

I think it's very normal for Hotpot restaurant. Ordered beef, lamp, and some vegetables. Soup base I chose is clear soup base with mushroom. The soup base is too plain which I didn't like it. But no matter when I come here their fatty beef and other beef selection just soft or melts in your mouth. They have a small selection of cooked foods. Some fried appetizers. I pick on the fried pork with spices and the fried montau with condensed milk is to die for! I always order them fresh vs getting it from the buffet line. Liuyishou has an extensive menu with a broad offering across meats, vegetables and broths. There really does seem to be something for everyone! I always go with the tomato broth and you really can't go wrong with this one. For an AYCE spot, the broth is not as watered down as one would expect. It's always fun to stop by the sauce bar and customize your own concoction if you find that you want a bit more flavor in your meal. Great hot pot spot in Flushing. They weren't too busy on a holiday Monday for lunch so we were able to stay for quite a while. The AYCE is about $32pp, but you also have to buy the soup base on top of this which is around $17. Soup refills beyond this are free, as expected. Their sauce bad isn't as luxurious as Haidilao's, but there's still a great assortment. There's two types of jelly desserts that are delicious, hot & sour soup, and a spicy cold chicken dish. Also an assortment of fruit and ice cream cups. Ice tea and water are self serve - the tea is quite sweet. We got the pork bone and tomato soup bases - both were very flavorful. There's an extensive menu to choose from and they all came very quickly. Meat is good quality - not too fatty like at other AYCE places. My bestfriend and I decided to meet for lunch today on a whim. I had just left my favorite eyelash spot (shout out to miu miu eyelashes) and decided to find a place in the area to eat. We happened upon this place and since I have always wanted to try hot pot, we said why not. I am extremely happy we did. Here's how it works: You have the all you can eat option for $30 per person or the a la cart menu. We opt for the all you can eat. You decided on the soup option (you can pick one, two or three) . We decided on two and selected the coconut water with chicken soup base and the special pork rib soup base with herbs. Both were very delicious with their own distinctive taste. The chicken soup base had a pleasant subtle sweet taste to it. It was absolutely delicious. The rib soup base was really good as well. I can't decide on which I enjoyed the most because they were both delicious. The soup bases had green leaf veggy, dates in the rib soup only (this added to the flavor so much that I will incorporate in my own chicken soup) and a bunch of other heathy goodies. There is a variety of beef, pork, lamb, seafood and tofu for protien. (We chose lamb, superior beef slices, pork belly, fish balls, etc) A sauce and spice bar where you choose whatever you wanted to add flavor to the already flavorful dish (we chose sesame oil, scallion, garlic and oyster sauce) Veggie options seems endless. Some of our selections were, sweet corn. Mushroom (oyster and shiitake), chinese sweet potatoes, radish, chrysanthemum, cabbage. And thank God we ordered the fried slice of pork..please order that side if you go. I wanted to kiss the chef. It was perfectly season, crispy not oily at all with a sprinkle of spicey, not too much, just enough to make you smile with each morsel! Oh wait there's more, there's fruits to choose from, all you can drink, hot, cold tea and lemodade. They offered a free soda with a checkin.. I am again very happy we decided on this place. Food- 3/5 SPICY SOUP BASE ARE INSANELY SPICY. I can't really take spice, but I thought I'd give it a try. We chose a lower spice level and even then we had a difficult time eating any food cooked in it. Beef was great! They have a ice tea fountain area. BEWARE OF THE FOUNTAIN AREA. I saw fruit flies dead inside of the tea. I wish I'd taken a photo of it. Be sure or check your drink!!! Service- 4/5 Super fast service. The biggest issue I have is if you are coming on a cold day, you could be waiting 2+ hours. We came during a busy day and waited 45 minutes. Another day we went and the wait was 2 hours. Best AYCE hotpot! We were the first ones to arrive on a Thursday when they opened at 11:30. They don't have too many tables, which makes me think the weekends could get crowded. $32/person + Soup base choices and a few premium options is a great deal for authentic Sichuan ChongQing hot pot. The only thing is the soup bases (spicy red oil and chicken broth) were pretty salty but typical of Sichuan hotpot. AYCE includes many unique and authentic items like stomach, brain, throat, frog legs. They base the portion size on the number of diners. But the meat platters were enormous, we got the fatty pork (very thinly sliced) and sliced beef. The highlight was also fried pork strips, which can be eaten as is or cooked in the soup. The last time I had one that's this good was in Sichuan! The shrimp paste was also very fresh and delicious. It's probably better to go with more people so that you can try more variety. I have to be honest, I was really hoping for better, especially from all the reviews I saw. The food quality was pretty okay but the ambience. I went a little bit earlier than dinner time, so we were one of the first to file in before the dinner rush and it was nice to be sat without waiting. However, because there isn't the normal dinner conversations all around, you can hear the ringing that the heaters make (to heat up the hotpot.) It's a shrill ringing that I couldn't ignore as hard as I tried and that ruined the whole experience. Broth 5/5 I loved golden broth. I didn't need any sauce when cooking the food in golden and coconut. Coconut chicken was slightly too sweet for my tasting after a few types of food. They also used a fresh coconut and poured it into the broth in front of you. Also warned us before ordering that it will take longer to boil. Salted egg yolk fish ball was so good ! Very unique and definitely one of my favorite items. And would be the reason for me to return if I ever crave this. Hot bar food was good. I enjoyed the crawfish a lot and they had fried rice too. Drinks are self serviced, they had iced tea l, passion fruit and water kinda fountain style. Some of the drinks were room temperature at some point and was kinda nasty to me. I'm sure you can ask for ice, I just didn't. Skip the crab legs, it was definitely not fresh, tasted old. The first round of lettuce I ordered was cabbage, and in that cabbage was alive fruit fly. And a shrimp leg. Cleanliness isn't big the way I'm seeing it. Their plate & bowls by sauce and hot bar area are half wet from getting washed which translates to germs forming on plates. Service 3/5 The concept of this AYCE wasn't explained to us. The broth is separate price. We paid $20 for the trio pot and $32 PP. our bill was almost 100 something. You order on an ipad, somethings had price listed on it and the broth did. I didn't think too much of it cause I'd assume any hotpot would include broth. Cause what am I suppose to cook the food in without broth at $32PP. They originally gave me a tomato broth and I told them it's wrong and they had no problem changing it. We weren't asked if we wanted ice cream at the end of our meal which was disappointing. I saw the table in front of us was asked. I honestly didn't remember until leaving cause we were also very full. I was also so disappointed at the fact that there was so little vegetables options. They had cabbage ,lettuce , tong hua? But no watercress was what shocked me so much. They had a great mushroom selection tho!!! Sauce bar did look messy when I got sauce, and they had a fruit & dessert station. It's a small hotpot spot that gets crowded fast ! They have a claw machine inside and a ice cream fridge that I believe only staffs can go into. Best AYCE hot pot in the area. Not on the same level of other big chains like Hai Di Lao or Shoo Long Kan but this place is popular and for good reason. Liuyishou has one thing that other's do not - an insane variety of broths to choose from (at least 10). Their spicy beef broth was numbing and spicy, tomato was tangy and the coconut chicken broth is definitely worth trying as it really is a 180 degree turn from the spicy beef. Meat quality here is good especially for AYCE. Their fish balls and meat balls were just so so but the shrimp paste was good. Their fried dough sticks though were fresh and that was really excellent. Sauce bar was a tad limited but that's not a big deal. The restaurant is pretty small in comparison to some of the other hot pot places in Flushing so come early or expect to wait a long time. Servers are really good here - fast, friendly and really helpful. Prices are a steal at $32 per person considering how much you can eat and the quality.
