Came here on a Sunday right after they opened and were greeted and seated immediately. Tried their regular coffee and near little iced coffee flight. Their waffle with the icing is some of the best waffles I've ever tasted, and my girlfriend's meal came with pancakes, which we were too full for, but those heated up great later. Will definitely be back. Their staff is super friendly, and their cooks are on point. The entrance also has a cool neon sign, which is very photo worthy, and the whole place felt clean, like a classic breakfast diner. read more

The service is good and they bring you complimentary fresh conchas when you get seated. That being said don't order the chilaquiles omelette. They put the sauce on the plate and on top of the omelette but the omelette itself is just dry chips wrapped in thin egg. For a few bucks more just get the chilaquiles plate. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!! Amazing!!! The fact that you get mini concha's right out of the oven is just one of the many reasons this place amazing. The food is so flavorful and fresh. Ordered the crunchy carne asada chilliquilles and was just blown away by the house made red sauce. Friends ordered the regular carne asada chilliquilles. I think the only difference is mine was served with hash brown, I preferred mine. Had to try the menudo, now that will wake you you the spice was definitely present. You would think we would stop there but no... the screen above us showed the waffles, and well we just had to try that as well, it was perfect with a nice crisp on the outside. Our waiter Juan was on it as well, when I first got my plate the hash browns were luke warm ( I like it piping hot) he quickly got my plate, went to the kitchen, and got me some hot ones in like 2 min (thank you Juan). This place gets crowded so show up early you will not regret it. Have I mentioned the. The first time I came here it was a good experience. But after my 2nd, 3rd and even 4th visit I have to say the food is good but the service is terrible. Besides some sweet waitresses. There have been times when multiple food items on the menus are not available. Or the staff completely ignores me and my table. The last time I went my group asked for waters and they brought us water is plastic cups with a lid. I didn't mind at all until someone in our group noticed everyone around us had water in glass cups. I even had a situation when we ordered food and before our food came out they said the "card machine was down" and they would only take cash. We were not sure what to do until the table next to us told us they just paid with card and what the guy told us was not true. We confronted the guy and he said he would try again. He came back and said the card worked. All this happened before we even got our food out. Overall I will not be going back. read more

Shirley and Jose were the kindest people and definitely deserve recognition! This place is a hidden gem within Long Beach! Parking may be difficult but it is definitely worth it. Besides the minor inconvenience of parking, they follow COVID regulations and have their guests wait under a tent conveniently located outside. In terms of food, I am a personal fan of their mozzarella sticks and crepes! If you have a larger appetite, you may need to order more than the crepes. I ordered a breakfast plate this morning using Uber Eats and this is how my pancakes arrived. Never have I ever seen pancakes that look like this. I called the restaurant and spoke with the "manager" and she told me "they've never had complaints like this before" while telling me to contact UberEats. My issue is, this isn't an UberEats issue, this is a COOKING issue. The restaurant needed to hear about my experience first hand not through a 3rd party that isn't at fault for creating something so disturbing. The manager I spoke to was rather dismissive of my actual complaint as she kept reiterating this doesn't normally happen as to suggest my complaint wasn't valid. I have ordered food from here multiple times, but this time has me not wanting to return again in the future. The Loaded Cafe is a great choice for dinner quick and delicious breakfast! Especially if you're staying at the Motel 6 right by it easy walk over. The value menu has some great mini meals if you're not crazy hungry. I had the mini waffle meal which has 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and a waffle. Everything was delicious and cooked to the doneness I requested. My son had the mini french toast same deal but with 2 pieces of french toast topped with powdered sugar. Excellent as well! read more

Loaded Cafe is a good place to get your breakfast fix; however, you should know that there WILL BE a wait time getting in on weekends, as this place gets PACKED. For breakfast, I went with the Chicken Alfredo omelet with a side of hash browns. The hash browns were cooked to perfection (crisp top and bottom with lesser cooked potatoes in between). The omelet was pretty good, too. If I do this omelet again, I'll be getting it without the Alfredo sauce but I'll keep the parmesan atop. The alfredo really tasted like something you buy from a jar at the grocery store and it wasn't even hot (it was warm-ish). One thing I didn't like was that I had to hunt down a server for a refill on coffee. I raised my hand once to get the attention of a server, she made eye contact with me, then said something to someone next to her, but neither came to see what I needed. Let me tell you, when you're a father, traveling with four kids, YOU NEED THAT COFFEE! Anyway, my wife went with the Caramel topped crepes while the rest of my "crew" went with pancakes, breakfast burrito and Nutella Banana crepes. There were not complaints from any of them. So, it turned out that dad was the grumps today. I'd definitely come back and try other things off their VERY EXTENSIVE menu. read more
