Shirley and Jose were the kindest people and definitely deserve recognition! This place is a hidden gem within Long Beach! Parking may be difficult but it is definitely worth it. Besides the minor inconvenience of parking, they follow COVID regulations and have their guests wait under a tent conveniently located outside. In terms of food, I am a personal fan of their mozzarella sticks and crepes! If you have a larger appetite, you may need to order more than the crepes. Other than the crepes, their proportions are large and you can definitely share most of them! read more

The service is good and they bring you complimentary fresh conchas when you get seated. That being said don't order the chilaquiles omelette. They put the sauce on the plate and on top of the omelette but the omelette itself is just dry chips wrapped in thin egg. For a few bucks more just get the chilaquiles plate. You get more food and actual chilaquiles. read more

Came here on a Sunday right after they opened and were greeted and seated immediately. Tried their regular coffee and near little iced coffee flight. Their waffle with the icing is some of the best waffles I've ever tasted, and my girlfriend's meal came with pancakes, which we were too full for, but those heated up great later. Will definitely be back. Their staff is super friendly, and their cooks are on point. I ordered via DoorDash the biscuits and gravy, and there was like a teaspoon of gravy on the biscuits. I don't know why these restaurants try to keep their way out. At least leave an option to comment to say extra gravy. Pathetic... I would've gave them zero stars, but the catch-up in the squeeze packets was really good! read more

The inside of the place is okay but everything else I was so disappointed. When we first arrived we were already getting rushed to order. When our food finally came it was not tasty at all. I got the birria quesadillas and they had no flavor at all. Someone at my table also had a sausage breakfast burrito, no flavor at all! DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!! Amazing!!! The fact that you get mini concha's right out of the oven is just one of the many reasons this place amazing. The food is so flavorful and fresh. Ordered the crunchy carne asada chilliquilles and was just blown away by the house made red sauce. Friends ordered the regular carne asada chilliquilles. I think the only difference is mine was served with hash brown, I preferred mine. Had to try the menudo, now that will wake you you the spice was definitely present. You would think we would stop there but no... the screen above us showed the waffles, and well we just had to try that as well, it was perfect with a nice crisp on the outside. Our waiter Juan was on it as well, when I first got my plate the hash browns were luke warm ( I like it piping hot) he quickly got my plate, went to the kitchen, and got me some hot ones in like 2 min (thank you Juan). This place gets crowded so show up early you will not regret it. Have I mentioned the. Came here on a Wednesday morning, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Although I do have to point out that our waiters seem uninterested to serve us, I would notice she would check more often on other tables and would ignore us. Definitely felt unwanted and like I was making her uncomfortable for no reason. However just because the waitress was bad the food was delicious, it took a little longer than usual but it was definitely worth the wait. They also give you sweet bread while you wait for your food. I ordered a breakfast plate this morning using Uber Eats and this is how my pancakes arrived. Never have I ever seen pancakes that look like this. I called the restaurant and spoke with the "manager" and she told me "they've never had complaints like this before" while telling me to contact UberEats. My issue is, this isn't an UberEats issue, this is a COOKING issue. The restaurant needed to hear about my experience first hand not through a 3rd party that isn't at fault for creating something so disturbing. The manager I spoke to was rather dismissive of my actual complaint as she kept reiterating this doesn't normally happen as to suggest my complaint wasn't valid. I have ordered food from here multiple times, but this time has me not wanting to return again in the future. From the food received to the "manager's" lack of good customer service, I'm left with a totally different impression of this place. read more

The Loaded Cafe is a great choice for dinner quick and delicious breakfast! Especially if you're staying at the Motel 6 right by it easy walk over. The value menu has some great mini meals if you're not crazy hungry. I had the mini waffle meal which has 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and a waffle. Everything was delicious and cooked to the doneness I requested. My son had the mini french toast same deal but with 2 pieces of french toast topped with powdered sugar. Excellent as well! read more

After our morning experience at the Bellflower location, we decided to drive to the one in Long Beach. Some of the staff were friendly, but the service was lacking in hospitality. The waiter did not come over to check if we needed anything after he took our order. We needed a refill of coffee and after waiting for about 20 minutes, my husband asked a waiter that passed by and he said to hold on, but we waited for another 10 minutes and my husband finally got up to tell the manager that we needed coffee. Finally, we received a refill. As far as the food, it was hyped up too much on IG. The food was just okay. Unfortunately, for my husband it was terrible. He came out with a very upset stomach after eating the chile verde. We will not be returning to any of their locations. read more

Invited here recently for breakfast and pleasantly surprised as I have driven past this place, but never noticed it. It's an older place that seems to attract regulars. Very good quality food and nice size portions. The prices were affordable as well. Best of all was the service. Definitely earned a repeat customer. read more

Take out Swedish crepes and hashbrowns. The food was cold but even still there was depth of flavor, crispy texture to both the pancakes and hash browns and the side strawberry sauce was way better as a homemade side (versus the takeout store bought jam). read more

After hearing great things about Loaded Cafe's food and drinks, I decided to finally give it a try. We were seated right away, which was a good start. I ordered the iced coffee flight (which I was really looking forward to) and my mom got a regular hot coffee. It took a while for our server to come back and take our food order, which wasn't ideal. We ordered the chilaquiles verdes, chorizo and eggs, and a French toast to share. Unfortunately, the food was a bit underwhelming. The chilaquiles were disappointing--no cheese, no sour cream, just chips, salsa, and eggs, with a side of cold beans. The chorizo and eggs were the highlight of the meal--hard to mess that up. The French toast lacked flavor and was slightly undercooked. The biggest letdown was the service. Our server never checked on us after taking our order, and we had to flag down another server (who seemed annoyed) just to get assistance. No refills, no follow-up. Overall, I wanted to love this place, but between the mediocre food and poor service, I left disappointed. Not sure I'd rush back anytime soon. read more

I was a bit skeptical about this place taking some reviews here on yelp, I have paid two visits this passed week and removed my original one to better my whole thought on this place. Originally, my waitress was named Veronica. As for my first visit she made it fantastic and fulfilled all my needs. She's pretty generous and hilarious if you ask me. As for my second visit, I decided to switch up my order and try their waffles. I might be a little strange for being that type of person to visit multiple times but this location brings a homelike feeling. Today I was sat and served by Stephanie. I was interested in getting the supreme combo and I wasn't so sure if I wanted plain pancakes (taking I had waffles in mind). Soon enough ANOTHER great waitress available to make modifications to my order. She suggested to get my desired waffle for a bit extra. I am truck driver and frequently eat at different restaurants almost every day in last 5 days i have been in 10 restaurant in 5 different state i measure food with quality value, portion they serve the coffee was good the 4.99 breakfast was great 2 bacon, pancakes, hash brown, 2 eggs i had break fast the day before in Dennys restaurant and I-Hop the day before these two restaurants the bacon was so thin i could see through the bacon not this place the bacon was so thick i actually could chew on it hash brown was cooked very good brown and crunchy on both side fully cooked on inside without burning the hash brown. the pancake as fully cooked and egg was very good. While traveling from Michigan we stayed the night at the motel 6 . My wife and I had several options for dinner and we decided to try loaded cafe next door to our hotel. WOW!!! As soon as we walk in we was greeted by Leslie and Stephanie. They both we very cheerful and Stephanie seated us right away. The attention to the details of our order was unbelievable. Stephanie is a natural. FYI special notice pay attention to these two workers. They both made us feel from the moment we walked into the door that we had made the right choice. I recently visited this location and had a fantastic experience. the food was exceptional and the service was top-notch! The flavors were rich, and the portions were generous. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. However, the one drawback was the surprising $4 credit card transaction fee added onto our bill. While I understand that businesses have expenses, it seems excessive considering banks charge much lower fees per transaction. I find this action very unreasonable. Just visited Loaded Cafe in Long Beach and had such a great experience! The food was delicious -- I ordered the Machuca torta and chilaquiles, and both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The torta was loaded (pun intended) and super satisfying, and the chilaquiles had the perfect amount of crunch and sauce. Service was on point too -- the staff was friendly and made sure everything was taken care of without being overbearing. Definitely one of those spots where you leave full and happy. I got an order of crunchy enchiladas and a Jamaica drink. The crunchy enchilada is not you traditional enchilada but most likely Chilaquiles. The Jamaica drink is a little bit too sweet for my taste.
