    Machaca plate

As you walk in you are greeted with exquisite smell of fresh Birria! Authentic Goat Birria... Seat yourself , fast paced environment and they get your food out to you fast and super hot! We had the Birria plate with rice and beans and a cup of consomé (broth) on the side. Just absolutely delicious. Comes with fresh made tortillas (corn) and white onions and cilantro with lime. You have to try their red table salsa, it's one of those flavors that yeah it's spicy but you can't stop eating it. The Machaca plate with beans and rice was also delicious! All in all it's worth the time looking for parking for that authentic Mexican food! 10/10 the birria broth will just take you to taste bud heaven, they bring it out super hot (best way) please come you will Leave here a much happier human!

Was down by USC & my husband & I decided to look up a Mexican restaurant to grab lunch. I gave 4 stars because the machaca burrito fell short in my opinion. I always felt that El Tepeyac has the best Machaca burritos you'll ever eat. Their Lengua on the other hand is out of this world delicious! 5 stars! Best I've ever had. Tender & tasty! We also tried their cheese enchiladas with green sauce and they were pretty good. They ran out of Chili Rellenos which is what my husband really wanted. Service was good. Restaurant is small & a bit cluttered.

Chilaquiles!!! Great flavors and great Salsa!

Great food! Great prices! Place is kinda small but always busy so that's a good sign. Everything seems reasonably priced and great food. The Chile is also great. Can't complain about this place. I've also had the Enchiladas and the Chile Reno. Those were also great dishes. The burritos seem big so that's a plus.

We asked for pata, tendons, and no hominy. Just what we ordered we got.

My hubby and I loved the menudo. It hit the spot for a cold Sunday morning. Service felt like we step into a family members home for breakfast. Heartwarming, busy and welcoming. Lots of the locals were coming, that's a good Singh it's great food.

I was too excited to eat so I took a picture after I ate.

This restaurant Mexican restaurant is authentic as fuck. Take it from someone who grew up in Mexico City. The food is delicious, like out of grandma's kitchen. They have the best lengua (beef tongue) tacos, combination plates, enchiladas and more. The place is clean and the service is great. Perhaps not fancy on the outside but the food and service speaks for itself. There's always a little before they even open, that tells you something.

Los Tres Cochintos restaurant in Lincoln Heights is a hidden gem or a hole in the whole for many years and many enjoy the food and quality of the food, everything is many fresh and made to order. My wife is a big breakfast fan in morning especially she love her eggs and chorizo very much in the morning. I took my wife to Los Tres Cochintos in Lincoln Heights to have breakfast with me and experience a home cook style breakfast. The restaurant is on Main St just couple blocks away from Dino's for their world famous Greek style chicken. Well anyways one thing to hard to find on Main St is parking because the restaurant is in residential area also close by Lincoln Park and USC General Hospital tight I don't the people find parking and eat at the restaurant. I found parking just a block away from the restaurant then we walk to the restaurant then we step. We look at the menu display what catch our eye my wife saw her favorite dish chorizo with egg and she order it. It was touch choice but I decided to order the machaca con huevo know as shredded beef with egg both plates comes with rice and beans and your choice corn or flour tortillas. We decided to eat outside but they brought the food to you. More people were coming to the restaurant for picking their order or eat there this restaurant is very popular in the morning. They brought our food to table and the food was in the container. We both open the container we can smell the food,we couldn't wait to take a bite. I took a bite of my Machaca with egg full of flavor and season well with vegetables and spice in the Machaca with egg. The beef was very tender season well. The rice and beans were so good full of flavor in the rice and bean I really enjoy and also I got two flour tortillas and I put my Machaca and rice and bean in the four tortillas it was so good and delicious and also have my Mexican Coca Cola by my side. My wife enjoy her chorizo and egg she say it was greasy it was good. My wife and I need to come back again soon.

The food service and ambience is very nice. Great place to have a good breakfast plus lunch and dinner. I ordered this burrito thing. I can't remember the name but I could've eaten two of them. It was so good.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was presented really well. The enchiladas were flavorful, the grilled fish was cooked perfectly, and the tortillas with the short rib were a table favorite. Portions were great for sharing, and the sauces really tied everything together. Service was friendly and our server checked in on us throughout the night without making us feel rushed. It did get a little busy, so there were a few waits between courses, but nothing that took away from the experience. Overall Great atmosphere, solid food, and a fun place for birthdays or date nights. I'd definitely come back!!

Our waiter then told us we needed a specific Dine LA reservation, something that was never mentioned when I called or when I made the reservation. I've been to plenty of Dine LA restaurants and have never experienced this. The service wasn't necessarily bad, but it was very dismissive. No apology, no real explanation--they basically just brushed it off. Thankfully, the food saved the night! The Michelada oysters were TO DIE FOR--seriously one of the best oyster flavors I've ever had. We also had the short rib plate, which was delicious. The outdoor atmosphere and decor are really cute too. I would come back, but ONLY for those oysters--definitely not for the service.

Sonoratown was our first stop as it was highly recommended by my boyfriend's brother, and it did not disappoint. It immediately earned a spot in our top five favorite taco spots for carne asada in all of Southern California! The location that we went to is located in between Elysium DTLA and Perfumeria Starlux on E 8th St in downtown LA. There is only paid(?) street parking around the area that could be extremely difficult to find during work days. Because we couldn't snag a spot, my friends and I opted for takeout and didn't end up eating until about 30 minutes later. Despite the travel time, the tacos were still absolutely incredible--I can only imagine how spectacular it tastes fresh! My friends and I ordered the carne asada tacos, and my boyfriend opted for the cabeza. Before I even took a full bite, I tasted a piece of the loose carne asada and was blown away; it was perfectly cooked with a wonderful tenderness and deep smokiness. The use of a single, thin, handmade flour tortilla--rather than the standard double corn--was a total game-changer and exactly how I preferred my tacos. The salsas were equally impressive, offering fantastic flavor and a great kick. My boyfriend's cabeza taco was just as standout, featuring super-tender meat with a rich, savory profile. Wowowow! Between the exceptional meat quality, bold flavors, and great value, this is easily one of the best taco spots I've visited. It's a huge bummer that they don't have a location down in San Diego, but we will definitely be back!

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.
