Cute little spot on the beach. Fairly small parking lot and beach access but we stopped in for lunch in a weekday afternoon and had no issues with finding parking. I think I paid $2.50 an hour for parking. My daughter and I both ordered the poki bowls and it was pretty good. Fresh fish and a good variety of healthy greens with rice. Not very many tables but I brought a blanket just in case. Wish I had remembered an umbrella though! So sunny and warm. I would definitely stop in again but plan on their not being tables available just in case. Readily available Food and drinks on the beach is always a good option. They also offer bonfire rentals that I think I'll try out when the weather heats up. read more

Sunset was at 5:23pm this evening. Lucky for me this cafe stays open until 6:00pm! It's been a while since I've been here. The friendly staff tell me this Lost Pier Cafe opened 2 years ago. So nice! Perfect hidden secret romantic hideaway for date night! The easy access to the parking lot and the cafe make it a great place for handicapped visitors or senior citizen & elderly to enjoy the beach too. I counted 10 picnic tables available close to the restrooms. It was 2 mins before closing yet the kids running the register still offered a full menu. Location is convenient right off PCH and only a few steps from the sand with a beautiful view of the Laguna Beach coast. Parking was plentiful, not sure if because it was Christmas Eve morning? You order at the window, and a server brings it out. We weren't expecting a whole lot and thus, were super pleasantly surprised! Chunks of lobster meat were stuffed between 2 buttery bread slices. Meat was juicy, flaky and flavorful. The breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon, and cheese was equally as good and hit the spot on the cool dreary morning. This review is solely based on my opinions of the Lost Pier Cafe...despite the mixed reviews from my wife. Just like any place out there, location, location, location! The Lost Pier is on prime real estate... Nestled on a beautiful beach sits The Lost Pier and what a sight it was! As far as the food I went with the Lobster roll but I substituted the chips for their French fries... and no regrets! My wife went with the Tuna salad sandwich and it was just alright... but I thought it was good... not the best we've ever had but still good. We also ordered a brown bag of mini beignets... which were also alright as well. Overall our food experience was a 3 out of 5 stars but since it was right off the beach boosted the cafe to a 4 out of 5 stars. If you're looking for a nice place to have a picnic on the beach with some good comfort food... then I would recommend the Lost Pier Cafe. read more

This place completely amazed me. I had friends visiting and they have kids so I wanted to find a place that was relaxing and entertaining for little kids to run around and not get bored. I reserved fire pits at this cafe and it was a perfect lunch hangout. We got the pit for 3 hours and I was able to reserve the chairs, smores supplies, and eat lunch from the cafe while all the kids played on the beach. The food here was also exquisite, I was looking at everything everybody ordered and it looked so good! I definitely want to come back here again soon and would recommend this to everyone. read more

I frequent Laguna Beach often but never realized that there was this food joint in the area. It's a cool place to order food and eat on the patio while enjoying a sunset view. We ordered lobster rolls, ceviche, fish tacos, clam chowder, and chicken salad and everything was very tasty. The seafood tasted fresh and clean. The lobster roll was delicious, ceviche was citrusy and loaded with fish, and fish tacos were blackened and flavorful with loads of toppings. What surprised me was the reasonable price and the amount of food that you get. Portions are very generous. The lobster roll was $20, which is considered very fairly priced. I've had lobster rolls that cost $30 and had the same amount of lobster so this is definitely worth the money. This place has only been open for two years and I hope it lasts. This is such a late review but we visited during the summer and we finally were able to find it open. Let's start with the service. The young lady taking my order was super friendly and as being our first time, although this has been our favorite beach ever we were never in luck to find it open, anyhow, going back to the service. She was very patient with us and recommended a couple of items on the menu. The kids tried their beignets and omgee!! They were delicious. I tried their fish tacos and those were flavorful, it did not need anything to be added. Alcohol is sold here but cannot be taken beyond their patio. Unfortunately, I did not get to take photos as one of the seagulls and I had a little fight going on because it was trying to get to our food lol. So we ate quick. But I 100% recommend you come and grab some food and enjoy the sunset. read more

The lobster roll was all right (just not my preference) but it was filled with lots of lobster, the poke and tacos were great. The salsa they give with the tacos was so good, I was dipping my fries in it. Hubby had a beer, which he enjoyed I got the mai tai which was horrible, lesson learned. We rented a fire pit and it was a PERFECT experience!! When we arrived at the café it was difficult to find parking, but once we finally found a spot and checked in, the experience was 10/10. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to eat outside and watch the water! Lost Pier Cafe filled the bill. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich and Marlene got the fish tacos. I was unaware the the sandwich came with chips and salsa so I ordered fries as well. Good thing I did because the fries were amazing. Tuna sandwich was pretty good to. Only problem I have was the paper straws, but it's Laguna they don't allow plastic straws anymore. Beware. The absolute best views from a no frills beachside cafe. They had all kinds of options for food and beverages. We enjoyed stopping in as we took the PCH up from San Diego. We were able to get some brews, then once done explore the beach area which was just amazing. The beers were nice and cold and the perfect way to end our mini road trip.
