My favorite boba shop in the bay! If you're a coffee lover you don't want to miss this. I moved from SoCal where mocha (my go to boba was commonly an option in almost every boba shop i went to) ever since moving to the Bay Area it hasn't been easy finding a Mocha based boba drink, most shops just offer tea based bobas. Then I found Lucky Tea! Where they blend delicious coffee drinks that taste similar if not better than some of my favorite mocha drinks. Recently I tried their Lucky Vietnamese Frappuccino and that really stood out the me. So yummy and the honey boba is a must! Service has been pretty fast they have multiple ordering tablets. There is also a nice wall to take a photo op.
We were parked at this wing and upon walking in, VF is insanely busy. I have not been here in years. We just had a delicious lunch but h really needed a cold drink! Lucky Teas right there. You order on tablet, and wait to be called. Your order is then made by the workers and then your order/name is called when it's ready. I had a jasmine tea with cream, $8.50 with a tip. Overall ok. Nothing special. I guess I'm underwhelmed and the price is making it as much. Is it because I'm at the mall. Clean stand with 2 workers that I can see. The tea was ok. I actually really liked the lid, great concept.
Yummy tea at Lucky Tea! Visiting from out of town and while in the mall saw this cute spot. I was craving something fresh and the cashier helped pick me out a fruit tea. It was delicious! Mango and orange with a green tea base. She was super sweet and friendly and my tea was soo good. Will def come back anytime we are in the area!
Did some shopping and naturally got a little parched. My sister in law and I decided to make a stop here. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with boba. The tea was fine but I was not a fan of the boba. It was extremely soft and felt it didn't add anything to the drink. My SIL also didn't enjoy her drink and regretted we didn't go somewhere else.
KEEP WALKING. If you're thinking about getting a drink here, don't do it. There's a reason this place never has a line, and unfortunately, it's because it's not good. I got the rose green tea, less sweet, with aloe vera. My "Not-So-Lucky Tea" had rose petals in it, but it tasted like pieces of paper, and overall it tasted awful. The tea itself was bad, the aloe vera wasn't fresh, and drinking what tasted like bits of paper in my drink was honestly just disgusting. Yuck! There are so many better boba options at Valley Fair. And you only have to walk a minute or two away. Skip Lucky Tea!
Ordered on a Wednesday evening and there was no line. The employee mentioned that it would be easier to look at the menu using the tablet. We ordered one of the limeade teas with lychee jelly and the coffee creama. The limeade tea was good, but it felt like it had less tea because of what's inside. The employee was super nice and the drinks came quickly. Cute spot on a second floor corner.
Tried it the first time and my drink was ok. Ordered a four season fruity drink (fruits and green tea) without ice and sugar. It was still too sweet for my taste. Green milk tea tasted bitter with regular sugar. Located next to mall entrance and the shop has constant flow of traffic. Friendly and courteous service. Will still give them a try.
Love stopping by here to get bubble tea if I'm at the mall. They have a strong tea flavor base which I always enjoy. My go to here is the Sun Moon Lake Black Milk Tea. The standard 50% sweet is good for me when I include boba. If I get it without, I'd up the sweetness a bit. There's options for a self serve kiosk or you can order at the front. They also keep togo bags and drink holders on the side for you to do it yourself too which is nice.

Best place to grab a drink as you're waiting in line to get into Ramen Nagi, to sneak into ShowPlace ICON for a movie, or on the way in or out when you're parked in Winchester Parking Garage or any of the western parking lots. Really though, while Ramen Nagi markedly does not allow outside food or drink, I've seen a lot of people bring in their Lucky Tea drinks if they didn't finish it in line. Among all the boba places in Valley Fair, Lucky Tea probably has the best and most convenient spot short of the food court. From experience, they tend to have more (suddenly long) lines on weekday afternoons, though those are nothing compared to the traffic they get on the weekends. Especially now that the mall is open to 7:30 and 8-ish. Lucky Tea is one of those boba places that are half-teas, half other kinds of fun drinks with a large emphasis on fruit flavors. Personally, I really appreciate that they have a good selection of non-caffeine drinks along with the teas and milk teas. (My personal favorite is their mango creama.) This location is the 2nd of 3 locations they have in the South Bay Area, and tends to have bursts of long lines. I remember when they first opened and gave out a lot of free merch, including fans and drink holders. You can count on them making pretty drinks as they are leaning for that Instagram promotion. Side note, this is one of the places you CAN get a boba gift e-card through their website! It makes for an easy present. TLDR; it's a solid boba place in a really good spot. Just remember that if you're planning to sneak it into the theater, be careful if the lid is the cap rather than being sealed or the metal screw-on kind. Those caps will come off if you bump it wrong if you put it in a stuffed bag. read more
Located at Valley Fair on the 2nd level next to the Showplace Icon movie theater, right in front of Ramen Nagi. Cute little corner spot, easy to find. Make sure to change your sweetness level - they didn't ask me so the auto standard is 50%. If it's my first time at a new boba spot, I usually would get either 75% or 100% sweetness to gauge how sweet their levels are. I would've preferred 75% from this place to have a little bit more sweet to it. I got the roasted oolong milk tea with boba. Tea flavor was there but didn't taste the roasted part at all. The boba was a bit too mushy for my liking so I let it sit for an hour for the boba to harden then I was able to enjoy the rest of my drink. It comes in a fancier matte cup, better quality than most boba places. However, it was pretty pricey for a regular size, $5.45. read more
Time & Date: Sunday, 7/4/21 @ 4:30pm Ordered: Mango Creama ($5.98) This boba spot is located in Westfield Valley Fair next to the theater & across from Ramen Nagi. It was pretty busy & the wait time was probably around 15-20 minutes in total. I ordered the mango creama thinking it was mango green tea with cream on top, but I think it was more of a mango juice. I think it would've tasted better if there was tea in the drink. Even 25% sugar was to sweet for me, it tasted more like a standard 100% level to me. However there are a ton of real mango chunks in the drink so you know it's not the fake stuff! read more

FLAVOR (3/5): Too sweet is the only thing I can describe these drinks with. I already tolerate a drink on the sweeter side but this wasn't any different from drinking sugar milk. Didn't find their boba memorable at all. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (3/5): Not an aesthetic boba place, more of an Asian chain that will exude cute, cheap milk tea instead. Didn't like the design on the cups. SERVICE (3/5): Even their self service tablets aren't great! They are laggy with bugs. Our order didn't go through so we had to order again, and they wouldn't allow us to continue unless we put in a tip amount. Either a bug or super messed up! TAKEAWAYS: Just because it's next to the theater and convenient if you're in that area of the mall I would recommend trying the other places down the row. There's better options in vfair. read more
Lucky Tea is one of... what, five boba shops inside the mall? You're likely to be bound by location and length of line, but if you end up on this side of the mall, then you've got a good option here. Aside from R&B Tea (which is my favorite shop here), Lucky Tea offers a varied menu with great tea options, flavors, and an easy ordering system. You can do self-check out or order with the cashier, and your drink will be done rather quickly. My Roasted Oolong Milk Tea w/ Boba ($6) is a classic and one that I use to determine whether a boba shop is good or not. Luckily (lol) they pass the test with this one. I was able to taste the tea quality through their non-dairy milk creamer, and the boba was soft and chewy so it was a fun adventure in my mouth. At 50% sugar as well, it was a good level of sweetness and one that I prefer over other stores that make them too sugary still. Good drinks and a good location (across from Ramen Nagi) make this a good choice for your boba needs while window shopping. read more

We wanted a drink while shopping and came here for some boba. We've come here a few times, but it's been a while. There was a long line, so we used the self-serve kiosks. They were a little buggy and slow, but we managed to get our order of the Dirty Tea Pearl Matcha. We got the recommended 50% sugar. The drink was pretty good. The boba was nice and chewy, and you could taste the nice earthiness of the matcha accompanied nicely with the milk and brown sugar. The sugar level was good that I could keep drinking it without feeling bloated or overwhelemed with sweetness. read more

staffs are just so so. smile will not hurt you. lol!!! this is the last boba place that i tried at westfield valley fair and will say mango green tea is just ok, not that special. they made it so fast; in fact, very fast. also order strawberry yakult which according to them best seller or recommended drink but i will say no for this. may be the yakult, asking twenty five percent sweetness but taste like sipping sugary yakult. will say mango green tea is still ok while strawberry yakult is absolutely not recommended... read more
I stopped by here while shopping in the mall. There's a tablet where you can order or you can order if with the person at the register. I ordered on the tablet which was fairly easy. The milk tea I got wasn't bad but it did taste a little watery. The boba was a decent texture so I wasn't mad about it. I'm not sure if I'll be a returning customer but it was a nice pick me up from hours of shopping. read more
Valley fair has a ton of boba places but I repeatedly come here as they have a very nice selection of drinks! They are super refreshing and I have yet to try a drink I don't love. Needed a top-off after eating a delicious "Red King" bowl at Ramen Nagi across from Lucky Tea. Never tried it before but always noticed a long line whenever I was waiting for Ramen Nagi so I decided to give it a shot. Location = It's a great location since it's right near the entrance of one of the parking lots, next to the ICON theater, as well as Ramen Nagi. The store is pretty bright and its hard to miss. Ordering = They have two computer kiosks you can use to order but I decided to wait in line and do it the traditional way since it was empty when I went on Saturday around 12:00pm. I ordered a Rose Milk Tea with Boba 50% sweetness / 50% ice. Boba = To me, I thought it was pretty solid. A good amount of Rose Milk tea taste and the honey boba was firm on the outside but chewy on the inside at the same time. 50/50 seems to be the sweet spot as it wasn't too sweet had the appropriate amount of ice to keep the drink cool. Definitely made a good first impression on me and I know now that I can go here and count on getting delicious boba. I'll be back to try some of there other items but so far it is definitely a solid choice for boba if you are in the area. read more
Found this boba tea at valley fair mall. We order fruit tea and it was good. Service is pretty quick. I love the boba drink. The choices are almost the same as other boba tea places. They also will give you the boba in a separate container so it won't become hard if you don't drink the drink right away. Pricewise almost the same as other boba tea shops. read more
Lucky Tea is one of the many boba spots in the Valley Fair Mall. If parking near Macy's, it's the closest to the entrance. On a Sunday afternoon, line was 5 minutes, and wait was even less which was very impressive. I ordered the Strawberry Yakult. The taste overall was alright. It definitely had a yakult taste in comparison to a lot of other "Yakult" drinks that taste more like yogurt syrup. Strawberry flavoring was very sweet, even with 50% level of sweetness. It was very liquid-y in comparison to icey or milky, which I think was my biggest gripe. Crystal boba was standard. Overall, nothing to go out of your way for. Friend also ordered the Thai Milk Tea. Taste was very water-y with much less Thai Milk Tea taste. Only thing good to note was a chewy/tasty boba. Overall, 2.5/10. Would just go to any other boba spots in the Valley Fair mall, where there's a LOT. read more
Decided to give this place a try and after seeing photos from previous reviews I chose the Matcha Dirty Milk Tea with Agar Boba and 25% sweetness level. The drink looked amazing but sadly, didn't taste that great. I couldn't distinguish any brown sugar or matcha - it straight up tasted like cold, creamy milk. The agar boba was fresh and chewy but that could not make up for the lack of flavor. As others have said, the menu is also hard to read while standing in line - I found myself referring to Yelp, photos, and their website while trying to decide what to order. The cashier that took my order also had a hard time ringing me up and kept having to rekey in the order - it was probably only a couple of minutes but seemed like forever especially with a line of people behind you. I was surprised at the price - $6.52 for one drink?? I wouldn't mind spending that much if it was good but I could only get halfway through it and ended up throwing it away... There are plenty of other places to get my boba fix! read more
For almost $7 (6.50$) I would've expected a bigger size, regardless of whether or not you put it into a plastic "aesthetic cup". I was further disappointed by their signature drink, the brown sugar milk tea (dirty tea). This tasted like drinking straight up milk with the occasional taste of brown sugar syrup that got caught on the bottom. I've had good brown sugar milk tea but this was not it. Save your money and try any other 5 boba places at the mall because this is overpaid garbage and they know it. read more
This review was for pre-COVID-19. We came here after lunch and there were a few people ahead of us on 2/2/20. We both ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea ($4.98) with boba. This was right across from Ramen Nagi assuming you knew where that was. The area that was next to the counter was a small sitting area which was already taken by the people in front of us. We waited a few minutes for our drinks to be made. The Jasmine Milk Tea tasted good to me and was much needed after lunch. The boba was soft and chewy which was good. The amount was like a lot of other milk tea places. The staff here were friendly and I would recommend this place for some milk tea if you're in the mall. read more

I have walked past this place a couple of times in the mall and had been wanting to try it. Almost every time I have seen this place, they typically have somewhat long lines. Surprisingly, I did not order milk tea when I came here since I typically always order milk tea at any boba place. I was in the mood for something cold when I visited. I opted for the blue citrus slushy and this was just okay. I was imagining it more to be something like a 7/11 slurpee but it actually just tasted like ice. I wish that it was more sweeter. This was my fault for getting a slushy at a boba place. I learned my lesson and will have to try milk tea next time. read more

Surprisingly good for mall boba! Pro tip is to order using the iPads as you can skip the line and avoid talking with the cashier. We got the mango creama and it was very good! The jasmine milk tea did taste like jasmine but was just ok. There is no where to chat nearby or sit down really so don't expect to stick around. Definitely would try again. read more

This place is right on a corner inside of Valley Fair Mall and it gets a lot of traffic! Honestly I thought it would be kind of a long wait since there were a ton of people waiting for their drinks, so I went to the self serve kiosk to order. It went by super quick and I got my order in less than 5 minutes :). I ordered a salted cheese jasmine crema with boba with their recommended 50% sweetness and to be honest you can probably go even less sweet than that if you don't like your drink too sweet. Overall not bad for an occasional visit. read more

Pretty bummed out by the flavor of the drink. I had the roasted oolong milk tea with boba and it was really bland (not a strong tea taste). Couldn't tell it was roasted oolong, just kind of a milky drink with notes of tea. Unfortunately disappointing and with subpar boba. It was extra squishy, not an enjoyable chewy texture. read more

Came here on a trip to the West Field Mall and wanted a refreshing drink. I got the mango green tea with lychee jelly and my friend got the super fruity soda. I really wish I had gotten the drink my friend got because it was so refreshing and the right amount of sweet and fizzy! Mine was a typical green tea drink and was still good! read more

Lucky Tea has been our one of our go-to boba tea places at Valley Fair mall. Their location in the mall is convenient to nearby dining options so a it's a big plus there. Drink flavors are decent and the speed of drink making is quick. Here's the big but and reason for less than 5 star review. I ordered one drink with 25% sweet and no ice and the other drink was 50% with less ice. The portions on the lighter drink were noticeably less than the other with ice. It's super annoying and I really dislike it when boba tea shops play these type of games. Just give me the same/equal proportions, is that such a big ask? read more
As I was lining up for the ramen place, Lucky Tea was right next to it. Seeing that I won't be eating very soon, I had to get a boba drink to hold me over. I ordered the mango creama with 30% sugar and it was very refreshing, not too sweet, and very mango-y. It wasn't amazingly good or anything, but it was perfect for sipping while in line. There were some other drinks that looked interesting too, so I may come back and try something else next time I visit the mall. read more
I was getting food at the mall so I decided to drop by to also get a drink. Surprisingly, there was no line around noon on a weekday. Ordered a dirty tea (25% less sweet) and it was ready in like a minute! The aesthetic of the cup is pleasing and its texture sturdy. The drink itself was pretty tasty (above avg) and the boba was nice and chewy. The only downside is that it's kind of pricey ($5.89 + tax). Nevertheless, I'll probably stop by to try some other drinks next time I'm at the mall. read more
Pricey? Yes. Yummy? Also, yes. I'm happy to report that I was able to find a substitute for my sparkling rainbow lychee tea from Gong Cha. Luck Tea's sparkling rose soda had everything I love: tons of bubbles, light sweetness, rainbow jelly. Plus, they add edible flower petals to the drink which was a great complement to the rose flavor. The wait to place the order and the time it took to pick up my drink in their super cute cup were both beyond reasonable. This will be my go-to place when shopping at VF. read more

First time here and the menu is extensive. Had to pull up yelp because I could not read the menu haha! (No glasses and font is small) Short line on a Saturday. I ended up ordering what the girl in front of me got- strawberry iced milky. Not my typical type of order but it was my turn and still didn't know what I really wanted. Drink looks very pretty but taste wise it's an expensive strawberry milk. The boba was good but really didn't like the texture of the pudding in the drink. I like that it's in a convenient location (across from Uncle Tetsu) but will try another drink for next time; like the creama or yakult series. read more
Lucky Tea you are pretty good especially for a milk tea shop in a mall. The Earl Grey Milk Tea is not bad, and you can taste the tea even if it's not extremely strong. The Strawberry Milk Tea is pretty good, but it's a scary shade of pink. Half sweet is just right for taste. My only concern is that they are not consistent in filling to the top (as you can see a huge gap in the strawberry one). Overall, not bad but Lucky Tea don't bother placing a single drink in a plastic bag. It's a waste of plastic and a waste of your money. read more
Pretty basic brown sugar boba! Second floor of the mall there is usually a line but they work really fast to make your drink! The serving size is okay, parking is abundant. Boba is more of a spot that u get and walk around the mall than sit and chat. I was most impressed by design of the lid to have a cap for your straw, perfect for covid! read more

Order at the iPad, then wait for your drink at the pick up area. The ingredients are fresh, strong in flavor, and refreshing. I feel like one would go here to experience a stronger, less subtle drink. Wait time is short. Lime and Kumquat Yakult Drink - Sour yogurt-like flavor and sparkling. Exactly the way I liked it. Lime and Kumquat Soda - Very sparkling to the point of almost activating heartburn. Exactly the way I liked it! Apparently the regular sweet for the Oolong Crema here is just 50% (I don't quite understand how that math works), but that was just perfect for my taste. Decent tea flavor instead of just sugar water. read more
