Braised pork bone. Mainly vegetables and potatoes. Little meat
Dan K.

Review is only for the braised pork bone. Was excited to try something new from this place. Got home noticed it was pretty heavy. But after digging through everything I was disappointed. Mainly vegetables, potatoes, a handful of pork pieces (all with bone it big chunks of fat). Flavor was good but wouldn't be ordering this again

I just had the most amazing hot pot! Spicy beef and it tasted amazing!! Now I wish there was a place this good close to me. It was called G4 on the menu and it was beef and lots of spice. The broth aka soup was out of this world. Staff is okay, you actually have to get up and ask them for help Lots of k-pop videos playing

This bowl of noodles is $9.99, with a bowl of soup. HUGE amount! Couldn't finish at all. Service is pretty ok, will check up other items soon

Ludingji Noodles hits the spot when you're craving hot pot flavors without committing to the full AYCE price tag. They offer a great selection of rich, flavorful soup bases and toppings that bring that hot pot satisfaction in a more manageable portion. Free noodle refills are a huge plus, and the service is consistently excellent--fast, friendly, and attentive. It's a great spot for a quick, comforting meal that still feels indulgent. Perfect when you want hot pot vibes without the full buffet experience.

Beef Rice Noodles in Golden Soup

Every time I visit, I always order his golden soup beef rice noodles. The soup has a smooth and creamy pumpkin base that's full of flavor rich, slightly sweet, and very comforting. The beef slices are tender and juicy, and the portion is generous enough to fill me up every time. It's such a satisfying and delicious dish, I can't help but love it!

At LuDingJi, you can find noodle dishes from China's Yunnan Province. I like the noodle wall art. The TV is playing Chinese music videos. House Special Rice Noodles with Beef: This dish is also known a Crossing the Bridge Noodles. You are given two bowls. The first is a scalding stone cauldron containing the soup. Another bowl holds the rice noodles. The rice noodles are thick, round, and slippery. The soup contains a treasure trove of ingredients. For crunch, there's black and white fungi, bean sprouts, and corn. The beef is sliced thin, and the ham boosts the flavor. The quail egg is creamy. You add some aged vinegar or throw in some of the peanuts from the side dish. Parking: Sunny Plaza has lots in the front, back, and underground.

WHAT I GOT: - Tomato Soup with Beef Brisket ($15.99) - 8/10 A really hearty soup and noodles when you're craving something warm! I like the tomato base because it's not spicy but they have a lot of great spicy options as well. The rice noodles pair really well and it's always a pretty big portion! Very attentive service as well! LOCATION: - Located in one of the San Gabriel plazas. Inside has a decent amount of seating, mostly for small tables of 2-4 people. PARKING: - Since it's in one of the plazas, there's parking in the front area as well as the back, and they have underground parking as well. The parking in the front can be a bit tight so I like to park in the back. WAIT: - No wait for 2 people on a Friday around 1 pm! NOTES/DEALS: - You can actually ask for extra noodles! I usually like to get two servings - Seems like they're doing an offer when you pay in cash!

Hot and Spicy with Angus Beef

My brother recommended this spot. Ordered Spicy sour angus beef soup. We didn't find it on the menu when we arrived but a co-worker of his had ordered it to go and the waiter let us order it no problem. Spiciest level mind you. We love Szechuan peppers and the mouth tinging and numbing sensation it brings. This soup was served hot and spicy. Would be the perfect soup to accompany a chilly winter or rainy day. The broth was so yummy! The noodles reminded me of thicker, cellophane like noodles. I wished the noodles were a bit chewier like udon but still not bad with the noodles they served. The waiter didn't come around to check on us but that was ok. We ended up calling him over to ask for water refills and extra napkins. Good experience and i'd go back again.

Noodle Soups!!! Trying Ludingji in San Gabriel and it was delicious. I chose the spicy diced pepper broth and my love chose the tomato broth. Both soups had great flavor and went so well with the house made rice noodles. A perfect rainy day meal. A hidden gem that you must try if you love soup.

Mala beef hotpot with noodles

Food was delicious I got a mala beef hotpot with noodles and everything in the bowl was delicious for around 16$ pretty worth. I had stuff to take home and eat later and fill with my own vegetables again with the soup. Service was extremely good

You think about getting ramen, but you want something healthier? Try rice noodles. LuDingJi will open your world to rice noodle soup. Parking is usually plenty, just go to their underground lot. The restaurant is relatively clean. Food is served pretty instantly, so that's great news for hangry (hungry and angry ) customers. Servers are polite and friendly too. The only complaint I have is the lighting in this restaurant is kind of dark. To order, it's 3-step to get your bowl of rice noodle goodness: 1. Choose your soup base 2. Choose your entree 3. Choose your carbs, but really just get rice noodles! 4. -- Side note: please get some add-ons as the dish doesn't come with many things. -- Food we ordered: - Tomato soup (8/10): For those who can't eat spice, this is Really REALLY GOOD! It's not too salty, the rice noodle textures were mildly chewy and tasty. I added fatty beef and some vegetables. Overall, the portion given is plenty. - Chili Pumpkin (10/10): A little spice, but this is probably my favorite hands down! The spice has a mild sweet-sour flavor to it. I really enjoyed this. - Shou Zhua Bing (6.5/10): This is basically roti canai with meat. I actually liked the dish. I gave it a low rating because I felt like the meat was cold but I thoroughly enjoyed the roti canai! Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to try a ramen alternative.

Beijing Plum Juice

09/16/2018 Combo #2 comes with tripe in spicy oil and spicy angus beef with rice noodles on the side. They were out of mango green tea so they offered Beijing plum juice. Very interesting kind of juice since I have never had it before. It has this Smokey flavor to it. It's not K-pop but it's Chinese music videos playing on the TV screens. Sort of a small place with about a dozen tables. I went back Sunday night which is a week after my first visit. I don't quite understand the bad reviews when reading them. It's just a hot bowl of soup with beef, spicy or not spicy. This time I ordered the combo #1 which is a tomato broth with angus beef. The side dish is the black fungus in spicy pepper oil. The waitress/server says they didn't have anymore mango green tea. She tried to offer the Beijing plum juice again. I wanted to try the honey grapefruit drink. She says that's extra cost, I asked her to ok to charge me for the drink. This is a bottled drink and not made fresh. She asked if I want extra noodles, I said yes because that helped me finish most of the broth.

We later just asked for it to just be taken off the bill since we were already done eating and the chow fun still hadn't come. That's when the owner/manager came in and started sweet talking us. She was apologizing and even touched my baby sister's face. We still said we didn't want it anymore. They brought it out and kept apologizing. We had to take it to go since she no longer had appetite to eat. I am insanely upset and disappointed that they'd dare to yell at us and especially in front of a child for simply asking for an update. We also overheard that the two tables next to us had to also wait a long time for their chow fun/chow mein. The servers were not particularly nice to them either. If there is a wait for a certain dish, please let your customers know . It is absolutely not on them that your kitchen is backed up. I love my community, but this was the most childish staff I've ever encountered. TLDR; workers yelled at us for simply asking where our food is. Horrible service. Tried kissing up to us after they realized their mistake.

For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki, chicken karage and our main dishes Deluxe Tsukemen x3. The Break down: Atmosphere: 4/5 They greet you as you walk in, which I sets the vibe. You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. Hidden Gem in Alhambra - Finally Tried It After 4 Years of Driving By!…read more I've lived in Alhambra for the last 4 years and drove past this place almost every day, always assuming it was just another hot pot spot. It never looked super busy, so I kept putting it off. Big mistake--don't let that happen to you like it did to me! We finally went in and ordered a bunch: the Spicy Beef Shank Rice Noodle, Rattan Pepper Sliced Beef Rice Noodle, Popcorn Chicken, Sesame Balls, Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Fried Milk Rolls, and Fried Taro Balls. Everything was outstanding. The noodles were amazing--fresh, chewy, with high-quality ingredients you can really taste in every bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious. She especially loved the Fried Taro Balls--they were crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. The sides/snacks were all hits too: the Popcorn Chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, the Sesame Balls and Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake brought great texture and sweetness, and the Fried Milk Rolls were a fun surprise. Service was top-notch--shoutout to Icey, who took such great care of us. One of the best and most attentive experiences we've had in a while. If you're in Alhambra and love good food, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't go wrong here--highly recommend! 5 stars all the way.
