I made Reservations pretty late for a Monday but it was very chill laid back and quick to seat and service us. The food let's start here. Makes other Brazilian bbq restaurants look amateur. The garlic pichana was delicious and the shrimp was to die for. I love lamb chops however the mint was a bit too strong. We made it for their extended dine la so we got an opportunity to try the waygu and it was wonderful. The cold bar was lovely and the creamed corn was absolutely chefs kiss. My absolute favorite restaurant in Los Angeles! A good friend of mine brought me here for my birthday. I had been here before during the pandemic lockdowns when dinning was outside in the parking lot under a tent. Came back again last week and was really happy to see the improvements to their expanded interior dinning area. Their salad bar had such a variety of quality things to choose from besides your typical tossed greens. They had hummus, prosciutto, various cheeses, so many types of salads and chilled seafood items. Of course I didn't come to M Grill for some damn salad! LOL! The highlight of this restaurant is their carved meats! My goodness, words can't describe how amazing their carved meats are and the flavor! Perhaps a professional food critic can better describe how amazing their meats are seasoned an cooked. On your table you're given a round coaster. One side is green and the other is red. You flip it over to green when you'd like the meat servers to stop at your table. Needless to say, the coaster was on the green side the entire time we were there. The meats were so juicy!! My drink of choice was their lime caipirinha. Cocktails are strong enough to power a rocket in to outer space. That's where I ended up after a few of these. :) The customer service is great! I have to give a special acknowledgement to our lovely server Mila. She is outstanding! Mila was friendly, quick and attentive. She even brought me a happy birthday flan with candle. I came here on a Wednesday night and it wasn't empty nor too busy. To quickly summarize the points before going into detail: - Meats are good. Consistently cooked to about medium - Salad bar has a decent selection of salads, vegetables, spreads, soups, and charcuterie. Not huge but enough variety to accompany the meats. - Service was friendly and attentive. - Ambiance is nice. - Price is on the higher end, but it's AYCE of quality meats. - Parking is valet, meh. In a bit more detail, the building itself is across from the MaDang Mall. As it's K-Town, parking sucks, so you will mostly do the valet parking which is $6 the night I went. Not a fan of this, but that's K-Town for you. The building outside looks unassuming and you wouldn't really pay much attention to it. Even walking up to the second floor, it seems very boring, but once you get to the entrance, it is quite a visual change. The inside has a light chiqueness to it, dim but with soft lights, a full bar in view, and large windows overlooking the streets. It's not loud inside and it feels a bit classy. The servers were friendly and helpful. Bread and a (fried potato?) side is set at your table. Once you're seated, you can hit the salad bars or wait for a server to come by with the meat they're handling (or pineapple!). This was my first time, so I didn't know the protocol but I watched others and quickly figured it out, and the servers also guided me as well. Basically, you get these tiny tongs to grab the piece they cut for you if it's necessary. Soemtimes there's enough or it's in a shape where they can slide it onto your plate for you, but most of the times, you use the little tongs which I thought was novel. For some of the cuts, they'll refire up the sides to give it a crisp caramelization if they cut off all the exterior. Small but very nice touch. The servers come in rapid fire, so meat will pile up and you will end up outpacing your plan; so take it at your own pace and don't mind the meats stacking up; or decline and ask them for it later. I didn't try any of the drinks, but the whiskey selection looks promising. They have some higher end bottles there so I am giving them the assumption that their drinks are good and they know what they're doing. The salad bar dishes were all pretty good, some a bit salty but not an issue for me. I am a little sad that the veges were all cold. I saw some grilled peppers and steamed or cooked carrots, and was expecting it to be warm when I bit into it, but it was cold like the salad. That's was a wrongful assumption on my part, but I would like warm grilled veges. It's understandable that it's cold, since it's part of the salad bar and for freshness sake. All the meats I had were pretty juicy and cooked well. Some of them could have used some extra grilling on the exterior for a crisperier texture, but that's just personal taste. I didn't have a single meat cut that was over or undercooked, they were all basically at the same degree of done, so kudos to the chef for such precise consistency! For additional seasoning, there's this very spicy chili paste at your table, salt and pepper, and I think you can request for other sauces or grab it at the bar. Overall, it was a decent experience. I ate too much because of the AYCE style (so hard to not overeat!) but I enjoyed the food. It was a nice place for dinner and I would recommend it if you're looking for an AYCE brazillian bbq spot. It was both of our first time but he had been to fogo de chao before so he was able to make a comparison. He rated this place as superior! Their salad bar was really cute. A good variety of options to choose from. I love meat but I always need like rice or veggies on the side to cut the unlimited meat taste off lol we got a bottle of wine to pair with the meal (def worth it!) and it really set the mood. Our friends took us here for dinner right when they open on a Monday at 5:30pm. It was perfect timing before it got a little busy. The service was good, the server came up to our table often to ask us if we're doing okay and if there's a specific meat that we are waiting for. You can find the menu with the meats on the QR code. This place is similar to other Brazilian places where you have a place card with red on one side to let servers know you don't want any meat at the moment or you can keep it on the green side so they know to come by your table. Loved all the beef even the chicken heart was pretty good. Rack of lamb was delicious as well. Definitely don't forget to try the grilled pineapple it smells and tastes amazing. The restaurant can get a little noisy when busy but I would still consider that average noise because it was a full house. Pre-Covid: I have been here a few times. My experience here has been better and better. Lunch is $35 per person. Server was very attentive and constantly checking in with us to see if we had any request on certain types of meat. My favorite were top sirloin and bottom sirloin. They were very lean, flavorful, and tender. My mouth watered by just thinking about this! There was buffet style salad bar that included grilled vegetables, pasta, and rice. We opted to sit in the tent because it was way too hot on our previous visit and way too cold last night to sit out. After checking in, your temperature will be taken at your wrist and you'll be given a little pouch to put your mask in while you're eating to keep them clean. All the meats were delicious like it's always been. Grilled pineapple is still a favorite for my boyfriend and I. My only complaint is that I wish the tables were staggered. The first visit, there was a large group that sat next to us, they were a bit lout and oddly enough, they had a COVID kit with them and were trying to test themselves right then and there. They have a full bar and an extensive wine list which is perfect to be paired with your food. I also loved that they do have a pescatarian opinion for an additional $25. Decided to surprise my mom for her birthday dinner here. We've had Brazilian BBQ before, but never at M Grill so we were all pretty stoked for dinner. Reservations were quick and easy through Yelp and there was no wait time when we got there. We sat right by the window facing Wilshire so the cotton candy sunset while having dinner was picture perfect. Their salad bar/hot sides were probably my favorite thing there. If I'm being honest, I think I filled up more on their sides than the meat itself. I'd say the meat quality was a hit or miss. Some were tender while others were either overcooked or way too salty. Their grilled pineapple coated with cinnamon, on the other hand, was to die for. Service was pretty quick. There was always someone walking by our table with the meats. However, after the 4th or 5th wave we started seeing the same cut of meats come around and ended up calling a server over to request specific ones we wanted. At $69 per person, I expected a little more with their quality of meat. There wasn't anything that wowed me enough for me to want seconds of (aside from their cheese bread, salad bar, and pineapple).
